Isra Kosimar It had sure felt like Isra was drowning though.

She'd been doing a good job of keeping her emotions under control, but Wray might have noticed that she was a bit quiet after the whole surprise would be engagement from her parents. A text had came in this evening to his phone though, asking him if he would mind coming over and talking. It wasn't too late thankfully.
Wray Aleifrson There was a brief answer of yes, and another to indicate he was coming with some drinks. They could order out if she liked.

It wasn't too long after that he was dropped off, the big man knocking on the door of her condo. With him, he has a bottle of mead - though the origin is unclear.

"Irsa? It's Wray." He speaks to the door - not shouting. No need to wake neighbors.
Isra Kosimar Isra had been sitting in the living room cuddled up with Ludo while they awaited the Asgardian. She got up when she heard his voice though. She had opened the door and smiled to him, "You are a welcome sight, please come in." she opens the door to allow him in.

"Do we need glasses for that?" she asks him as she closes it behind him.
Wray Aleifrson He gives her a smile, and a nod. "Yes, please. Smaller glass, likely. This is mead from Asgard." Wray explains. "I thought a stronger drink would be suitable tonight." He offers a scritch to Ludo's head, if the large dog will allow.

"Are you sleeping all right? Are you doing all right?" He asks.
Isra Kosimar Isra gives a look to him when he explains that it is Asgardian mead and she grins, "I will get the very small glasses then." she tells him. Ludo accepts the scritches and gives a big tail wag as Wray pays attention to him.

Isra returns with glasses, settling them down on the table in front of the couch, "Not a lot. I sort of feel like I need to decompress from things. I've gotten some very strongly worded emails from a few people at the party." she frowns. "Come and sit." she offers to him.
Wray Aleifrson Once it's offered, he takes a seat - careful not to strain her furniture too much. "I can only imagine. I was telling Ciprian that I was familiar with the traditions of arranged marriages." A shake of his head. "I am sorry that you got put in that position." The apology is sincere.

"Hopefully your parents understand your needs and desires on this subject, yes?"
Isra Kosimar Isra gives a look to him and there is a soft smile, "You're a good friend to my brother and I appreciate it greatly." she tells him. She then she settles in next to him, "I'm hoping that they will. If they might have done it right as I returned home I might have had different feelings...or talked to me at all." she admits. "I just..." she breathes out, "I am interested in being with someone else and it felt wrong." she admits.
Wray Aleifrson There's the slight play of a grin at the corners of his mouth. "Your brother mentioned." He nods, pouring her a small glass of the potent mead. "Go slow with that, all right? It's not a shot to be knocked back." A warning to his Midgard friend.

Wray pours a bit more for himself, before setting the bottle down and sitting back in the chair. "So how do you explain that to your parents, then? Or did you already?"
Isra Kosimar "Oh he told you that I wanted to date you?" Isra asks him with an amused look. When he pours her the mead she takes it up and there is a look to him, "Taking it slow, honest." she states.

"I explained that I had been getting to know someone and that while I had not asked and he'd not asked I was not going to just accept a marriage proposal to a stranger." she explains as she takes a dainty sip of the mead and gives a little cough, "Ooo. That is very very strong." she tells him.
Wray Aleifrson Strong, but still delicious, thankfully. A smirk. "He hinted at that, but I didn't press him." Wray looks to her. "Is that true, though? Are you interested in dating me?" He wonders, regarding her. It's clear he's curious, and maybe a bit concerned.

"A fair statement. Normally the couples would be introduced, at least just minimally." A shake of his head. "And usually the situation was explained to each before the public announcement, to avoid any shock."
Isra Kosimar Isra's blushes fiercely at that, "I am." she tells him. "I...well now I feel silly." she chuckles.

"Do you date or do you avoid it because of being long lived?" she asks him curiously. "And yes, had my parents wanted to make sure I was one hundred percent on board then I would have expected meetings and all of that." she agrees. "It's all just overwhelming." she frowns.
Wray Aleifrson At least she addressed the elephant in the room. "Don't feel silly, Isra. I am flattered, and interested in you as well." Wray admits. "But please, do not feel silly." There's a sip of his mead, then the glass is set down.

"It is difficult, Isra. With... the differences in the time available to Asgardians and Midgardians. It is not to say that I have not found love with one from Midgard before..." The big man looks to his hands for a moment. "I just... I would not want to hurt someone by the span of time." He looks back to her. "And yes, I think it would have helped to have forewarned you - they would have realized your view on things."
Isra Kosimar Isra listens to him with a gentle smile. "I can't imagine what you've been through...what and who you've lost to the time passing." she tells him.

"If you would like to just be friends so that neither of us are hurt I would understand that, Wray. Or we can just see if it ever heads that way. I don't want to force you into something that might cause you discomfort." she admits.
Wray Aleifrson The man considers, looking off into the past with a quiet stare. "I don't think it would be a life worth living if I hid from such things, Isra. I mean, if I kept my heart away from the world." A slight smile to her. Wray shifts a bit where he sits. "I am certainly interested in you, Isra. I just need to be transparent in things, if you understand?"
Isra Kosimar Isra gives a look to him as he stares off into the middle distance for the time being. She wasn't going to make him feel pressured. "I don't think it would be something that was fair to you. And if you find someone that understands that you are long lived and that you will outlive them." she points out.

"I understand that, yes." she nods to him. "So how about this..." she offers as she shifts in her seat to face him, "How about we see how things go? We are already obviously very interested in each other and who knows...maybe it'll work out." she grins to him.
Wray Aleifrson "I'd like that." Wray decides, smiling as she shifts to face him more straight on. He sips the mead he had poured for himself. "I'd like to see where we end up, you and I." A slight grin. "If you don't mind the idea of a Summer-Winter relationship." He teases, making light of the age difference.

"That all said, how do we address your parents? Or the fellow who was staring knives at me after the fact?"
Isra Kosimar "Good. Then how about we do a first date thing that doesn't involve a homecoming party?" Isra suggests to the Asgardian. She really wasn't going to do that to him again.

She does give a warm laugh to him, "I have a small secret. I prefer older men. So your age is...perfect." she winks at him. Then she sobers a touch, "I don't know how to address my parents or the gentleman. But I will come up with a game plan." she tells him.
Wray Aleifrson "I would like that. What would you like to do? Ladies choice, and such?" Wray grins over to her, sitting a bit more comfortably now. All that awkward talk was out of the way, now they could just be and see where things go.

"If he gives you any trouble, I will be the first to talk to him if needed. I don't want to treat you like a damsel in distress - you are a smart and strong woman. But if I need to chat with him, I can." He comments.
Isra Kosimar Isra gives him an amused look, "You want me to plan the date?" she asks him as she takes another sip of the mead. Whew that was powerful. Then there is a soft look to him, "Wray, I am sure he will not be any trouble." she tells him. "And I don't mind being a damsel when the situation is right for it." she teases him.
Wray Aleifrson A nod. "This one. Something you want to do. I want to know more about you from the date." Wray decides. "Then I'll plan one, assuming you still feel interested in me." A wry chuckle, the man finishing off his mead. As she mentions the other man, he nods - going quiet for a moment.

"I hope so. Envy and unrequited love can be problematic, though."
Isra Kosimar Isra gives a soft smile to that, "Alright. I'll plan this one and give you the details...then so one and so on." she nods to that. "If I do not seem interested in you after an official date just look for the pod." she laughs.

Then she looks a little concerned, "I...do you think I should try to speak with him first?" she asks him.
Wray Aleifrson There's a moment of thought. "I don't know. I don't want to rile him further." The man explains after a few breaths of consideration. "We'll just keep an eye on him, all right."

At the mention of the date, Wray grins widely. "I will hope that you are not replaced, of course. That would certainly be a poor turn of events, yes?"
Isra Kosimar Isra gives a look to him and then reaches out to give his hand a squeeze, "We'll do just that then." she tells him. "I...would you like to stay the night? I have guest rooms and things if you are worried about sleeping in the same room. I just feel that it might make my a bit more at ease if you were here." she admits quietly.
Wray Aleifrson Her hand is held carefully, his grip warm. "I can, if you like. I don't want to assume anything, of course. Where ever you want me to be, I can be there." The Asgardian assures. "I have things in my car, and I can keep to myself in a guest room if you need your privacy."
Isra Kosimar Isra gives a look to him and there is a soft smile, "Wray, we are both grown adults. If you want to sleep in my bed I can absolutely behave and just enjoy having the company." she tells him. "I would very much just like to feel safe and secure for the moment and I feel that when you are here." she confides in him.
Wray Aleifrson The smirk is hard to hide. "Fair enough." Wray comments. "I shall be on my best behavior. I will even endeavor to not steal the covers." The big man offers over. "And I can promise no one will harm you tonight." It is the very least he can do. "Were you tired now? Did you want to talk, or watch a movie?" A glance to the mead. "I think that should be the limit of what you drink from the bottle..." A chuckle. "I don't want you feeling ill."
Isra Kosimar "Oh are you a blanket thief as well? I'll have two of those then...though I think Ludo might be jealous and sleep on the chest at the end of my bed." she chuckles. "I am tired, but sleep still might be awhile." she states as she finishes off the alcohol that was in her glass and her head spins.

"Oh yeah that is all of that for me..." she whispers. "We could watch a show in the bedroom? I have a tv in there." she points out.
Wray Aleifrson The big man nods, standing and collecting the glasses. They are rinsed and put in the sink, and two bottles of water are collected. One passed to her, he finds a seat next to her and settles in. "All right then, pick a movie? Though, a less intense action-wise movie might be best." Wray grins. "Maybe a comedy." A glance is cast over to Ludo. "I think he'll be all right. If he needs to sprawl out over me, I don't think I'll mind."
