Helena Bertinelli Gotham City is known for its crime. Typically it gets associated with more physical crimes; Robbery, Kidnapping. Murder. Mass Murdering Clowns. There are, however, many other flavors of illegal activities to be sampled on the city's buffet of crime. When it comes to so-called white collar crime, Gotham's criminal element has their dirty little fingers in that pie, too.

It's 3AM on a weeknight. A plain black courier van is speeding away from a small building in one of Gotham's industrial parks. The occupants are dressed like soldiers for hire, complete with body armor, night vision goggles and more than enough guns to qualify for an action movie cast. Driving with the van's lights off, the driver is making use of that night vision tech to see the road. He turns a corner and works to put distance from the building.

All over Gotham, security systems are going off for those who keep track of high tech companies being robbed. Which probably means Oracle.
Barbara Gordon Part of buying the GGE Blimp was about having a mobile command center in the sky. A platform that would allow Batgirl, and anyone else who wanted to utilize it, as a literal launching pad for getting to a situation in-progress a little faster than conventional methods had yielded thus far. Since Blimps were a common sight in Gotham's skies, it also meant few people would really consider it the source of where the Bats were coming from...

Tonight, Batgirl is in the dimly lit command center of the GGE Airship. Her computer terminals illuminating her softly as the alerts came of security threats across the city.

Babs' voice sounded out over active team comms.

"Something is up," she started. "Seems we have a network of alarms going off. Looks like it is a way of causing mass confusion, likely to keep us from knowing the true target."

Her comms crackle from static passing through it.

"Who is out and about tonight, ready for some possible action?"
Helena Bertinelli Huntress stands across the street from a known Mafia safe house, watching it through binoculars when the request comes across the comms.

She taps her earpiece to respond, "I'm available Batgirl. Where do you need me?"

The black van continues its unlit trip across the city, making its way closer to Sheldon Park's industrial section of Bleake Island. THere is no regard for traffic lights but its path only crosses main streets at random intervals. They're trying to stick to alleys and side streets to avoid too much attention but they haven't accounted for Gotham's All Seeing Eye In The Sky.

It won't be difficult to isolate the distractions from the real robbery.

A subsidiary of a subsidiary's subcontractor. Its trail leads back to WayneTech unobtrusively named Aspirant Ventures Incorporated.
Barbara Gordon Drones from the underside of the GGE Blimp detach, and within minutes they are descending from the bleak Gotham sky, the clouds a forboding backdrop of Spring weather in the city of thunderstorms.

When within range, the drones begin setting up a tracking network to triangulate the source of the strange alarm sounding. "They're using some kind of a splash system, to trigger security networks." Batgirl's voice replies. "I think I have them. They're sticking to alleys, not far from your current locale." She responds, a bit of commotion on her mic signifying she's moving about. "I'm coming down to join you. Check your device, it should have a updated map showing you where they're headed. I'll join you before they reach their destination."

A moment later and Batgirl is gently gliding out in to the humid Gotham air, her glider cape stiffening behind her, the edges fluttering about in the strong gusts coming across now, as she descends toward the city below.

"Oracle is updating us on its information digging. Looks like they might have a specific target in mind, and not just general anarchy like so many are fond of around here." Babs' voice speaks, now interfered with by a bit of commotion from the wind around her!
Helena Bertinelli Huntress was already in motion when she confirmed she was available. Arriving at her motorcycle she is quickly on the road as the data begins streaming to her mask.

"Confirmed. Thanks Batgirl. For both." The extra Bat-Boots on the ground will be helpful and the high tech support from Barbara's custom designed system is also invaluable.

"I'm cutting across Denton Avenue to intercept. Do we have any idea what this is about? If it were just a smash and grab, why all the false alarms to try and put responders off the path" she reasons aloud as she speeds through the city. Someone else is ignoring traffic flow. At least she has Oracle helping change the lights to avoid accidents. Safety first!
Barbara Gordon From Detroit Street, the armored form of Batgirl's light Batmobile rumbles through a intersection, the lights a bright green in hue, the Oracle AI system ensuring that the vehicle's of both Batgirl, and Helena are given the easiest routes through traffic where needs-be.

"Aspirant. It's a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprise." Batgirl speaks over comms, from where-ever she is in the city at this point. "It looks like it is some kind of a hit job on a High Tech company. Could be some of our big wigs in tech are fighting again... I'm headed to Sheldon Park."

The armored Batmobile darts down an alleyway of its own, its loud engines rumbling through the canyons of the city.

Meanwhile, the unmarked van is equally given a clearer path through traffic, as the reduction of traffic incidents means less injuries to innocents... But, at the same time, the Oracle AI is attempting to direct the van toward a trap of old cement pylons that were installed some time ago. Should the van get too close to these traps, it may very well end its occupants trip quite quickly!
Helena Bertinelli A laugh is heard as the details of the company come across. "Oh... yeah these guys picked the wrong child company to rob and they don't even know it. They better be grateful it's us chasing them. It's an act of mercy" she jokes.

"Closing in myself. I'm two blocks over." Sheldon Park. She frowns as her Organized Crime upbringing kicks in to consider destinations. "You don't suppose they're heading for Falcone's? Sionis? Don't think I like either option really.."

Smart mercenaries for hire or not, it's hard to not get meticulously herded toward those pylon traps. The driver frowns as he suddenly realizes..

"This isn't the right al.." The sound of an accident echoes down the alleyway. Crushing metal and plastic, shattering glass and the BOMF of airbags deploying. The van's front end is crushed in significantly, steam rises from the shattered radiator as its contents forms a hot puddle on the ground. In the silence following the crash, four of the mercs stumble out of the van through the side door and the rear. The driver is still in front, his door is bent and jammed shut from the impact.

One of the four has a metal case handcuffed to her wrist, an assault rifle in the other hand. "Stick to the plan! We're ten blocks away. We need to move!"
Barbara Gordon "Huntress," Batgirl chimes in again on their shared network. "Their ride is down. They're on foot. They are headed eastbound, check your device. If I were a guessing woman, I'd say these guys are from out of town, and not associated with any of our local nare-do-wells... I'm going to herd them toward you. I'll get them distracted too. Hopefully..."

It is not very long in to the run of the mercs on foot that the rumble of a very loud engine can be heard behind them. From the south, the rubber wheels of the Batmobile tear across the pavement, as the armored vehicle fish-tails out on to the street, a good hundred yards behind the mercenary team. Its heavy tires squeal on the street, as it gains purchase, and begins roaring toward them, taking an evasive, and agile, manuever around their abandoned van... the pylons that had stopped it, now retreated back in to the secure housings under the street itself.

The flood lights of the Batmobile, all suddenly shine brightly, casting a blinding light upon the backs of the rapidly running soldier-attired figures ahead!

They are clearly in trouble now!
Helena Bertinelli "Copy that" Huntress confirms. "I'm here." Here being a block away and closing in from the opposite direction.

As Huntress speeds toward the guns for hire, the four raise those rifles and open fire on the Batgirl because it's the perceived threat in the moment. It gives her time to close the distance on her bike. Instead of slowing down, she speeds up. At the last moment she throws the bike into a skid, heedless of the damage that may come to the vehicle. The bike careens toward the distracted hired guns and topples the middle two of the four.

Huntress, now on foot, walks calmly toward the scene of the second crash for the hired guns. "Batgirl, can we go Bowling for Goons more often? I need more practice, I only got a Seven-Ten Split."

With two of them struggling after getting hit by a crashing bike, the other two turn to face the newest threat, their guns raising to shoot. Huntress acts quickly, firing a bolt with a grapple line attached. Wrapping it around the ankle of one gunman, she gives a sharp pull to knock the man down.
Barbara Gordon While the Huntress makes her dramatic arrival, and the fight on the ground begins to break out, the Batmobile comes to a skidding stop about 25 yards away from the blossoming struggle! In the sky above, Batgirl's flock of black drones zip by, a diamond-pattern to their flight coordination. Each drone is monitoring the situation on a multitude of levels, from standard camera lenses, to infra-red, and other visual spectrums, as being as safe as possible is the goal for Batgirl, especially when it comes to putting her Birds in dangerous situations.

Smoke pellets are dropped from the drones, lines of peppering explosions popping off around the fighters down below, leaving tendrils of white smoke to block off any ideas of escapes the mercenaries might have.

"These guys will regret this for a long time... and if there are more, well, I'll make sure you're there." Babs' voice fires back to her companion on this night.

The headlights of her Batmobile pierce through the smoke wall, an ever-present reminder that the armored vigilante vehicle is still there, still watching.

But, Batgirl is not inside it!

She appears from the north, coming in from the sky above, her boots delivered directly to the back of one of the mercs, before they can gain any dangerous advantage over Helena! Batgirl drops to the pavement in a roll, coming up with a bounce to her step, her tall yellow boots a clear indicator of her arrival, along with the large golden bat across her chest armor. With a small smirk, Babs lunges toward one of the mercs, dropping them with a hard cross body punch to the chin, before she spins around, her black and gold cape billowing out behind her in the winds coming down the canyon city street.
Helena Bertinelli With a grim grin, Huntress nods, "Good. We don't get in as many fights as we used to. It's so sad."

As Batgirl arrives in style, the other standing gunman goes down briefly. Recovering quickly, he stands only to get hit by the follow-through attack. The cape flourish is what truly disorients him. He takes an unstable step back, one hand moving to his temple. Another blow will easily take him down!

Before Huntress can finish reeling in her Catch of the Day, the prone gunman pulls a pistol and begins to fire at her.

Dropping low, she throws one of her own smoke bombs to cover her movements. He fires into the smoke, thinking she is still hiding inside it. Instead she comes from the right side, making it harder for him to shift aim toward her. Closing in she drops a knee to his torso, followed by two armored fists to his jaw. The pistol clatters to the ground as he is taken out of the fight. "I better not have chipped a nail.." Huntress grumbles as she turns to look at the two her bike had knocked down.

They're starting to recover, struggling to get to their feet.
Barbara Gordon Helena's smart words get a glance from the green eyes of Batgirl. She doesn't comment back yet, however, as her vision re-focuses on the man regathering himself for an attack upon the tall redhead in the black and gold. As the man spits a mouthful of blood out, and charges at her, Barbara rushes forward, the strength enhancing elements of her high-tech armor allowing her to hit the man like a freight train, or at least like someone three times her body weight! She runs him like a line backer, putting her shoulder down in to his gut, and ending up toppling over with him until she's literally ontop of him. With her red hair flaring out behind her, Babs makes momentary eye contact with the confused man, surprised by the strength of the 'mere woman' now above him.

But he only gets a second to gawk at her, before Barbara hits him again, this time with a right hook to knock him clean out.

Over her shoulder, her drones monitor from above, and her AI system warns her of the mercs trying to regroup, one drawing a gun to aim at her back left shoulder!

With a diving tumble forward, Batgirl comes up, a Batarang brandished, and thrown right for the gun just as it goes off! The bullet slaps in to the pavement beside the man that Babs' had just knocked out!

Her drones respond to gunfire, by launching several electric darts, aimed right at the soldier who'd fired the weapon at the Tech Knight!
Helena Bertinelli Two down and two struggling to get up. Their weapons are out of reach, lost when they were knocked down by the bike. By the time they finally get to their feet, Batgirl and Huntress will be able to close on them. Huntress has switched to her staff, extending it for additional reach. She puts that to immediate use, tripping up the gunwoman with the case handcuffed to her wrist. Tangling the woman's legs, Huntress delivers a series of quick blows to incapacitate her prey. THe only one left, the final man blinks a few times. It was such a good plan. In and out. They hadn't counted on Capes showing up. He should have and he should have waited till later to ponder these things. He's distracted and wide open for Batgirl to take down!
Barbara Gordon Babs is back on her feet with ease, one element of her suit allowing her to move with more agility, sparing her body from bearing the brunt of mileage-acrewed damage, which is essential considering she still has a damaged spine beneath her armor.

As Huntress rushes to disable the woman with the case, Batgirl stalks toward the man, his eyes locked upon her. She stares him down, waiting for him to make his first move. Following a curse word about Barbara's gender, the man is suddenly knocked out from behind.

Batgirl just watches him slump forward, and collapse at her feet.

She glances up at her drone, that had come up behind the man, floating down from the sky above, where it had delivered a powerful blast of kinetic energy through a deployed battering ram device. Babs just smirked at her own tech, before the drone took off back to the sky above.

"You want to take bets on whats in that case?" Batgirl asked, appearing near to where the Huntress was, exchanging a look with her, before her green eyed gaze dropped back down to the woman on the ground.

In the distance, the GCPD sirens are enroute, conveniently delayed by those same cement pylons... as Barbara was one to protect the GCPD from armed enemies like this, where and when she can. Sure, some of them are corrupt, but some of them are her friends too...
Helena Bertinelli Huntress looks at the case. Not bothering to find the key, she breaks the woman's thumb and slides the metal ring over her hand. Crime doesn't pay after all.

Picking up the case, she studies it. "Honestly? I'm sure it's something someone with a PhD would understand. Quantum Mechanics. Cold Fusion. The location of the socks lost in my dryer." She holds it out to Batgirl. "I'm going to guess that whatever it is, is something you're better qualified to handle than I am." She winks and grins as the sirens get louder.

"Sounds like it's time we get going either way."
Barbara Gordon With waves of the dispersing smoke rolling across the two women, and their fallen prey, Barbara averts her eyes from the western facing street, where the visible blues-and-reds can be seen getting closer. She looks back to helena, as the woman thrusts the case toward her. She accepts it, with a small smirk on the visible elements of her face. "Hopefully it's about those socks." She fires back, letting the case hang at her side. "Lets get moving." She adds, as she starts to stroll toward her Batmobile, which is already rolling forward toward them to meet them, the AI that controls it directly linked to Barbara's neural implant, creating an interface that is rapidly making Batgirl more and more fully merged with her computer systems.

With the hatch of the cockpit opened already, Babs dips the case inside her car. "Your bike good to go?" She asks. "We can attach it and get it back to the garage for repairs, if needs be." She offers, glancing back to helena from her posted position beside the bike.

The first GCPD vehicles arrive, about 40 yards out, parking and letting out their officers that begin to coordinate a blockade of the area to prevent other Gotham vehicles from entering the crime zone.
Helena Bertinelli Huntress walks over after ziptying the gunmen's wrists and legs and pulling the clips from the guns.

"It'll be fine. I've done worse than this to it." Moving to it, she picks it up, checking the side. Scratches and scrapes. "Nothing that can't be buffed out" she jokes.

"Meet you back at the Tower?"
