Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie is doing laundry. She's not exactly stuck in the machine, but she is climbing down to make sure she gets everything. Dressed casually in that way one sometimes does doing laundry, she crawls halfway into the dryer to make absolutely sure, feet in pink socks stuck out behind her.
Piotr Rasputin     Heavy rubber soled footfalls strike the concrete/tile floor as the 7'7" monolith of osmium bio-steel man named Piotr walks into the laundry room. He carries an overstuffed laundry basket that barely holds its contents of super suits and casual wear. Also shoved into the basket is his laundry detergent. Today, Piotr wears size 17 combat boots, black cargo pants, and a pull over sleeveless shirt - also black. His silvery skin glints in the harsh overhead lighting of the room. Upon entering, his silvery eyes catch glimpse of someone within the washing machine. He gives a brief pause as he tries to recognize the person. He does not. So, he says in a heavily accented voice while sitting his basket down on the counter, "Might I help you? Do you need some assistance?" The question reiterated as he realizes half way through speaking it, he asked in an odd way. Or so he thinks. His gaze still watches over the dangling legs and pink socks.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie pulls her head out of the machine to look back, bracing herself against the drum. "I'm good, seeing if I missed any socks," she says, though the last word is cut off when the drum rolls, and she falls. "Ah!"
Piotr Rasputin     One step is all it takes for Piotr to bridge the gap between himself and the falling girl. He's done this countless times in the field, but never in the laundry room. The step is taken, his arm is reached, and he will snag the falling leaflet around her waist to keep her from smacking into the floor. He intones, "Careful, that first step... it will get you." and he offers a subtle grin trailing his remark.

In subsequent seconds he will help her upright and place her feet first onto the floor - when she is ready.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie laughs, grasping Piotr's arm to steady herself. "Thanks. I guess I leaned on the wrong part, Piotr," she grins up to him. OF course he's impossible to miss. "Let me get out of your way though, I just finished."
Piotr Rasputin     He steps back once she's steady and he nods, "Your gesture is appreciated. Yet, there are many more machines and you take such little space. It would be me who would be in your way." He turns back to his basket, moves around the counter to continue and face Paige while he starts to unload and sort the clothing into groups - lights, darks, durables, colors.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie finishes closing everything up anyway. "Never know how many machines someone needs," she laughs, grabbing the last of her things and tossing them into a basket. She then comes over behind Piotr, and smiles. "I guess you do take up a lot more space. But you use that to your advantage."
Piotr Rasputin     Minding his laundry, Piotr listens to her remarks and he gives a nod. "The most seen is from Scott. Yet, it is suspect that he's doing laundry for Jean on top of his own." Her other remark only causes him to glance back over his shoulder to her passing and he shrugs his broad shoulders, "It is sometimes advantage. Other times, hitting head on door facing or ceiling fan in smaller houses. The trouble now is that I am stuck in this form. Cannot revert back. Which is troublesome."
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie laughs at that, though when he drops a shirt, she leans over, brushing past him to grab it, and hand it to him. "Oh yeah, hopefully it doesn't hurt too bad. Well a fan? Ack. But now we're even. Would you.. want to revert?"
Piotr Rasputin     When the shirt is dropped and she moves to retrieve it, he watches and comments, "Spaciba." before adding to answer her questions, "There is no pain in transformation, or being this way. There is only annoyance with walking freely without people staring at giant metal man. Reverting would be advantageous. Especially when it comes to walking on fragile surfaces. Yet, for now, I am content to allow Hank to discover the problem in his time."
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie gives the big guy a firm pat on the shoulder and snickers. "You poor thing. I can turn into metal, but I can husk back any time I want. Kind of the best of both worlds."
Piotr Rasputin     An eyebrow is lifted as he completes the sorting of the laundry. He grabs the first bundle and walks it over to the bank of washing machines. He drops the laundry into the washer as he comments, "I do recall your ability to 'husk'. Is quite unique. Though, I am curious. When you 'transform', are your insides the same material as your outsides?"
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie follows him over, grabbing the adjacent machine and leaning on it, facing Piotr. "It's everything. Desite my name, it's not just my skin. It's everything. But it only lasts so long, and I can change back early. Though occasionally that's embarrassing."
Piotr Rasputin     He dumps in some detergent and then closes the lid and sets the dial while she explains her power's nature. When stating about the embarrassing part, Piotr glances over with a quizzical, curious gaze. He asks, "Do you wear unstable molecule uniform beneath normal clothing?" - Which essentially asking if she does, then there shouldn't be a problem. If not, it could be absolutely embarrassing. But he also believes that the unstable molecule uniform would keep her covered regardless of ripping skin off. He could be terribly mistaken. He hasn't been around her in the training sense, nor has he truly read up on her.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie shakes her head. "That won't really work for me. What I'm wearing... comes off with the husk. It's disgusting if you relaly think too closely about it." She laughs, and shrugs. "But people don't seem to mind when I'm made of metal."
Piotr Rasputin     "Of course they do not mind.", Piotr says with a grin while turning toward the next pile of laundry. He adds, "Curious; I am to assume that this display does not bother you or your teammates?" He takes the laundry and will turn to put it into the next available washing machine.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie looks away, and squirms. "I dont' really think about it. If I'm husking, it's either by accident, or when... well it's an emergency. Either way, I worry about it later."
Piotr Rasputin     He considers a moment longer, nods as he puts pieces together. He asks, "And you can transform into any material or compound?" Dumping detergent into the second load, he closes the lid and then starts the cycle. He glances over to her and exposed skin, shoulder, arm. Just curious about the nature of it all.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie stands there in basically the kind of nightshirt a girl wears going to do laundry, and laughs. "Yeah. Basically. But I have to understand it, not just look at it and copy it."
Piotr Rasputin     After a moment of thought, Piotr reflects, "Then not like the Absorbing Man. Fought him once. He touched my skin. Then he emulated bio-organic osmium that I am made of. Much collateral damage after that. Though, it is through touch for him. For you it is understanding chemistry. Are you doing well in that class?"
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie laughs. "Oh god no. I mean, I passed. But if I end up taking Chemnstry in college it's going to be some work." She reaches out, touches Piotr's bare shoulder, and taps with her fingertip. "I have to actually undertsand how you're made, to get ahold of that."
Piotr Rasputin     There's no actual 'tink-tink' to the tapping. He doesn't clang if struck by a metal beam or baseball bat. He's more organic and malleable than metal. If he flexes muscle fibers, then his skin will feel 'harder' just like anyone who tightens muscles beneath normal flesh. He peers down her reaching arm to her face. He grins and nods, "I would like to also understand how I am made. Hyperion pointed out that most of our powers make no logical sense - how does a man made entirely of metal live and ... well, I do not have to breathe in this form."
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie snickers. But she's actually curious. She gives his arm another tap, and a squeeze. "You don't feel like.. metal metal. When I go metal I'm... metal." she murmurs. "And you're right. It makes no sense."
Piotr Rasputin     When she squeezes, he flexes, tightens his musculature and that's when she'll feel the metallic, or at least the steel rigidness of it all. He says, "Though you are 'metal', as am I, you are still flexible and able to move. Otherwise, we would both be statues. All of that being said, I would like to see you in metal form." He's not implying for her to shift this moment. Just that he's curious to see her in that form.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie is done with her laundry. And the shirt's easy enough, so at his reuqest. She shrugs, and reaches, peeling off the nightshirt and her husk all in one go, the girl is abruptly standing there in front of him, made out of glinting steel. She raises her arms, turns around. "Now if you feel my arm it won't be soft at all."
Piotr Rasputin     There's a moment of shock as he sees her removing her shirt and skin. He begins to comment, "I did not mean..." but he's silenced as she stands there before him in metal form. Piotr's silvery eyes are quite pleased with the 'mirror' of himself (with less lines) in female form. He even half smiles. "That is quite amazing." he states, appreciative of her presentation. Then, as suggested, he reaches forward and will touch her arm. Giving a light feel to the metallic nature, even offering a gentle tap. "To me, it is still soft. Yet, not like skin. Like a soft metal. Do you feel my contact?" - asking if she feels sensation through the skin.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie looks down at herself where there is a 'tink tink' when his fingers touch her. "I feel it. So it makes no sense at all. But I sink in water right now. Easily."
Piotr Rasputin     Piotr smiles and chuckles with an agreeable nod. "I too sink like stone. Swimming was once fun. No longer, not in this form. But question, do you require breath?" His hand breaks from her arm and he turns his attention to the third pile of clothing.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie shakes her head. "Not really. I mean, when I'm like this, no. I'm solid metal. If I turn into water, I don't breathe. But normally? I breathe and eat like before."
Piotr Rasputin     He scoops up the final pile, durables, and places them in the washing machine, adds detergent and processes what she said. "You can turn into water?" is what he got out of her statement and sounds quite amazed. "Does that mean you can wash my clothes?" and he laughs as if he's made a good joke.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie shrugs and nods. "In theory. But I'm not sure I want to do that." she considers, a second, then laughing. "Really weird. I splash all over and... yeah. Good for an escape though."
Piotr Rasputin     "Does that mean you also flow - like water? Can you shift into mercury and perform the same stunts as Cessily?" Ala, Mercury. He starts the final load and then turns his back to the washer, slightly askew to face toward Paige, yet, still towering over her.
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie tilts her head. "Not quite the same as her. She can melt and go solid. If I turn into merucry, I'll just be a shiny pool of mercury until I husk back."
Piotr Rasputin     In a tone of innate curiosity, Piotr continues to ask along the same thread, "And if you're struck in liquid form? Do you splash or malform? I ask regarding defensive tactics. Can you be hurt by physical attacks in liquid form, and if you are struck, do you splash? Lose droplets of yourself?"
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie takes a slow breath. "It's complicated. It's really compliated. But basically it wears off, no matter what I husk into, I eventually just shape back into myself."
Piotr Rasputin     There's a bit more processing and more questions will be generated. Yet, Piotr discontinues the line of questioning as he considers that it has gone on long enough. At least in this setting. He looks her over and then says, "Thank you for sharing, Paige. It has been enlightening."
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie is weird like that. She took a deep breath of contemplation even though she doesn't BREATHE right htis second. Funny how that works. STepping up back to Piotr, she taps his shoulder again, a 'tink' coming again from her hand. "Want to go talk some more while your laundry goes?"
Piotr Rasputin     He holds up an index finger as if that's a brilliant idea. He intones, "I was just about to suggest such a venture. Though I am not hungry, my mind tells me I should be eating. I get no benefit from it. Perhaps I could sit with you while you eat."
Paige Guthrie Paige Guthrie nods "Sure, we can do that. I'd have to change before I eat though."
