Date of Scene: 06 February 2022

Synopsis: Jan's girlfriend returns from the dead.
Cast of Characters: Veira Lazarescu, Jan de Wit

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
It was day seven and Veira had woken up like she usually did which was absolutely confused, hungry and still feeling a bit of pain. Her wounds were healed, but she had still been covered in dried blood. So the first step had been stumbling back home to get a nice long shower, clean clothes and then finding her phone.

"Atilla?" she'd called out. Silence had answered her.

"Ah...he's with Jan." she'd whispered. But it made her smile. She'd rather have spent the last week with the man as well. She'd made quick work of heading down to the parking and finding her car. Because she wasn't up for dealing with other people doing things today."

Jan probably wasn't expecting company, but in the early evening there is a light knock on the door to his suite. Atilla was taking a nap with the puppies on the floor, so it wasn't him. On the other side it was either a staffly type or it was Veira.

Which would it be?

Jan de Wit has posed:
The dragon had been a welcome companion to Jan over the week. Waiting, hoping, worrying. She had explained it, Atilla had explained it - but still it was something new and rather terrifying for Jan to take in. This woman he'd grown close to, was dead.

But she'd be back.

How it worked, he'd likely never fully understand. But he had to have some faith, after all. He and Atilla kept each other occupied and spirits high, sharing meals and conversations as the days crept by. It was a good distraction for Jan, honestly.

The knock on his door had him blink himself more alert, getting to his feet. Moving over to the door, it's pulled open to greet whomever is on the other side. "Hello?"

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
When the door is opened, Veira is on the otherside, leaning against the wall. She looks extremely dressed down from what she usually wears and she looks extremely tired. "Hello there, handsome." the Romanian states in a soft tone as she gives a smile, pushing off the wall she heads for the door.

"Can I come in?" she asks him.

Atilla perks up immediately when he hears Veira's voice and the dragon trundles over to the door to peek his head around. It causes her to smile, "There you are. I was wondering." she chuckles before she's looking back to Jan.

Jan de Wit has posed:
As she's in motion, it's a dance. Jan moves to her, offering support and an arm to keep her upright. "You are welcome any time. Just in case you're a vampire." He winks to her, kissing her forehead as he helps her into the suite. The door is closed behind him with a gentle, well-placed kick.

The dancer grins over to Atilla, all but beaming. "What's the aftercare for a returned Veira?" He wonders, likely to both.

He nods to Veira, moving her to a comfortable chair. "He's been quite the helpful friend, keeping me from over-worrying or doing something rash." He explains, giving a fond look to Atilla. "I think I might have had a worse run of it, had he not been so kind as to look after me."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
"I am goth enough to be a vampire." Veira teases him gently. "Thank you for the blanket entry." she adds with a chuckle as she is helped in. She's solid for her height and figure, but that is something Jan's able to handle and she's helping with it as well.

The kiss to her forehead earns a warm smile. Though his question of aftercare makes her look to him, "Veira's do well with sleep, food and not fighting anything for at least a week." she muses. "Also, cuddles are never turned down." she adds with a bit of a grin. She wasn't completely cooked.

"Atilla has only dealt with my dying once, so I'm glad that this time you had each other to lean on." she admits. "He...didn't make you order McDonald's too many times...did he?" she asks him. Then she straightens and turns in his arms. Her hand comes up to touch his cheek gently, "How /are/ you?" she asks him. There was worry there.

Jan de Wit has posed:
"Does that involve a scandalously revealing outfit for a proper vampiress?" Jan teases, her nodding. "Of course. It extends to my home too, when we kick the angels out of Manhattan." He says, resolutely. There's no concern over her solidity, or any such thing, Jan is quite happy to be a shoulder for her to lean on.

"Sleep, food and no fighting. Check. I can order us something right now, and will." He smirks. "Your choice, as it's a celebratory meal for your return. Cuddles are quite available, whenever you like." He kneels near the chair next to her. "I can run a bath, whatever you need."

"Not at all. We share nuggets, and then I introduced him to boneless chicken wings - with all the proper seasoning. Parmesan and garlic..." He smirks, leaning into her touch. "I am better, now. I admit, I was ... not all together well when I got the news, but I had faith." A wry grin. "Though my faith in Christianity is faltering, if this is what His servants are like."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira gives a giggle to that, "I do have some outfits that might cover that from my old goth club days." she winks at him. "So I'm sure we can get me in one." she adds. Then she's looking to him when he mentions angels and there's a soft frown, "Yeah, we'll get them out. Hopefully it won't take too much longer." she tells him softly. "That means you can get home and back to work and things." she smiles to him.

"If you'd like to order food I am not going to complain." she nods to that. When he kneels there is a look to him, "What are you doing?" she asks him. "Mmm, maybe a bath later. I took a shower to wash the blood off." she explains. "I'm sure there's still some in my hair...but I wanted to see you as soon as I could." she comments.

At the list of things Atilla was fed there is a soft grin, "Oh, boneless wings. I bet he loved those." she grins. When he leans into her touch she takes a moment to touch her forehead to his, "I do not think God has anything to do with this, but a crisis of faith is something that is hard to sometimes handle." she frowns. "I've never been a Christian or a Catholic. My ways are very old." she admits.

"I do have a new development with my origins...but it is something to discuss later." she tells him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
She's partly answered by Jan working to take off her boots. "Letting you get comfortable." He assures. "And yes, food." A look to Atilla. "Preferences for the dinner?" He wonders, before looking to Veira again. A smirk as she mentions clothing from her old goth days. "Don't tease this poor man, my heart may not be able to take it." The chuckle is light, happy.

"We'll get them out soon. And make sure they know to not come back." The man says, quietly.

A nod as she presses her forehead to his, smiling. "I do not think so either, but I fear that it could be a result of man's misinterpretation of what is a divine being. Handing down rules and teachings, man to man to man, allows for all sorts of human failings." A cant of his head as she mentions her origins. "Is this something that occurs when this happens? Revelations?"

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira blushes as Jan works her boots off and there's a thoughtful look given to him, "Thank you." she tells him. She'd never have a man do that. So she was quietly watching him. "Mmm, food." she grins. "I would be partial to a nice steak or pasta, I am not going to be picky about which." she points out. Atilla gives a bit of a chuckle, "I think a steak might be nice." he tells them.

"Yeah, they're working to drive them out. I'm on leave while I recover fully." she comments.

She lifts her chin, kissing his forehead gently before she sits back. "Most of the time there's just...nothing. I die. Time passes. I wake up." she explains. "But this time...I had someone else with me." she tells him. "Apparently the Goddess Morana." she looks a little weary over that.

Jan de Wit has posed:
The man thinks a moment, giving her foot a rub as he does. Once both boots are off and she's been tended to, Jan smiles. "I know just the thing." He reaches over for the phone, calling down to room service. No looking at a menu, no concern over what they might have on the menu. "Yes, I'd like three orders of pasta Puttanesca. And a paired wine, please. Salads to compliment." No name is given, no room number - it's just assumed they will know.

"A mix of both, ribeye and pasta cooked with olive oil, tomatoes, olives, garlic, capers and anchovies - cooked down with spaghetti." The man explains.

A slight smile at the mention of leave. "Well, you've earned a rest." He agrees, regarding her as she shares her news. "I'm not familiar with that... deity?" He adds, not certain as to what faith that is a part of. "Is that a good thing?"

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira watches the man and she gives a soft smile, "I trust your judgement completely, Jan." she tells him. And she did. There is an amused look when he places three orders, "I'm glad that you've made such good friends with Atilla." she comments. She doesn't interrupt him as he orders. He knows what he's doing.

"That sounds delicious." she admits to that. "I think I had it a long time ago, but probably not to the quality of here." she grins.

"I'd die for a vacation sort of came true." she muses to that. "And she is a deity yes. She is a deity, yes. She is an ancient goddess associated with winter's death, rebirth and dreams." she explains. "She is the reason I can return from death it appears." she adds. "She's not explained why. But she has promised to speak with me again." she tells him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
"I would hope he counts me among his friends, Veira." He comments, grinning to Atilla. "He's been a good friend to me, and has made fast friends with Orchid and her pup." Still no name for the young girl, alas! "We've shared stories and meals, it has been the best made of our situation. He stayed my hand when I wanted to run off to Manhattan to repay some angels with the 'kindness' you were shown." A slight face.

"I look forward to seeing you revisit it." He mentions, chuckling about the dinner order. "If it doesn't fill you up, we can always order more. And dessert." Jan smiles.

He shakes his head at her humor regarding the earned vacation. "Well, if you'd like to visit elsewhere, let me know. We can make that happen." He winks. As she explains who the goddess is, he nods. "I ... I just hope it doesn't necessarily require you going through the grim journey of death to meet with her again." He pauses a moment. "And you are sure it was her? Not some trickery?"
