Synopsis: Existential thoughts and commentary between a pocket universe and a man displaced from his home universe. Deep and heavy stuff!
Cast of Characters: Hyperion, Singularity

Hyperion has posed:
So, it's a rather quiet Wednesday evening in Rockefeller Center. Mark Milton, cartoonist for the Bugle, finds himself sitting at an outdoor table in front of a small bistro with a cup of coffee before him. He has a sketch pad on the table, and is working absently as he watches a street band performing purely for tips.

They are mostly unplugged instrumentalists, and he's just doodling out of habit. It's not that he is focused on his work. It's that the work is almost meditation for him... being done without real conscious thought as his eyes wander the area.

He works -really- hard to avoid having his senses go apeshit all the time. It takes a lot of effort to not peer into buildings a mile away, or whatnot. But he has a flannel shirt on with a light jacket over that. He must be one of those types of people who likes the cold weather. Steel toed work boots and simple jeans finish up his extravagant outfit. Okay, so extravagant is an overstatement. The coffee is steaming still, so it hasn't cooled yet, and the young people really are rockin' out over there.

Singularity has posed:
There's a 'plink' up in the air over in the very high area up above, far up in the sky over when she would poof, and there would be flashes of Blue as a female figure that was star-forged would teleport from place to place around. She would be hovering about several hundred meters around high in the sky, then teleporting down on closer with seemingly no efort when it came to making her portals as she would go along.
Her body swirling with spirals of stars glittering on her, of galaxies twisting and dancing over and moving to dart about.

Hyperion has posed:
Even when trying to avoid overloading his senses, there are things that stand out. The 'plink' up there gets his attention. The EM surge of an appearing entity does so as well. He can see the entire EM Spectrum, not just what humans call 'visible light'. And so the figure appearing and then disappearing and reappearing makes him raise his brows.

There is a moment when he considers taking action but.. someone just appearing isn't threatening in and of itself. So he waits. He knows he'll have plenty of time should the need arise... and his hands absently begin working on a new sketch. He may not even be aware he's doing that... sketching the new arrival. For the moment, he's not going to force interaction. That could change at any moment of course.

Singularity has posed:
And those energy waves cascade -off- of him. Singularity has felt many strange things, and this man is immediately identifiable to her as standing out. So she would flicker through the air several times over in a pattern. Getting hte impression that the man is partially aware of her as well. So the flickering is to make it sure that he knows she has noticed him, but also is not intruding on him nor threatening. And it is also making sure that he does not stand out nor does she do anything htat might draw attention to him sitting there. So there's just a spiral of teleporting a couple dozen times over in the air like she was dancing.

Hyperion has posed:
Eyes narrowing, Mark smirks. He sets down his pencil and looks down at his pad... where the band seems to be posed in a comical sense with the blue-star-filled woman hovering over them.

But then he stands up and picks up his pad and pencil. These are tucked into a small attache case. He lifts a hand and halfway salutes the floating woman. It's obvious that his... disguise, isn't holding up. So he turns and walks towards a walkway between two buildings.

The moment he is out of sight from the general crowd, he is on the roof with his civilian clothing and his case set aside.... and he finds himself floating above the bouncing teleporting woman in costume. Black and gold standing out. "Lovely evening, is it not?" he asks in a resonant voice.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would nod to Hyperion, having taken the time to be polit and not draw attention to whom he was in his 'civilian' attire. "Yes it is!" She woulc chirp and flicker up in the air several meters, spinning around to enjoy the view. "It is lovely! There are so many lovely places to be up and watch this city. It is glorious."
She would look over at him, "Do you enjoy it as well? Or do you have other ones like this that you prefer?" Polite and cheerful. Body spiraling and dancing over with galaxies spiraling, stars going nova, neutron stars collapsing in upon themselves to black holes..

Hyperion has posed:
"I must ask, are you appearing as a representation of the universe's entropy, or... are you a self contained universe in its own right?" asks Hyperion as he hovers there. He's not bouncing about... his anti-gravitons just flow about him, holding him in place at his subconscious command.

The golden cape seems to flutter though. Again, subconscious. The damned thing does that in space too... it's creepy at times.

"To answer your question, I enjoy many things, many cities, many cultures... and New York City seems to have most cultures in one island."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would chirp, taking a quesiton that she knew well, "I was inspired over by the heroes of this world and given form by wanting to be like them and hold myself to their ideas." Her thinking of how to go along with the rest. "I am a thing, I am not nothingness." So not something of entropy! She would hover over in place.
"I am a self contained universe." or pocket quantum dimension. "Is it as nice as the one you were from?"

Hyperion has posed:
Inclining his head, Hyperion smirks, "When I say entropy, I simply mean that nothing ever remains the same, static. Everything in the universe changes at one point or another... I speak not of death but of change."

And drifting a bit away from the crowds, he hopes to lead this being in a similar direction. "You can tell that I am not from this universe. I am impressed... I cannot say if yours is as nice as my own or not. I have not experienced yours from within, the way I experienced my home."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would nod at Hyperion and hover in front of him thoughtfully. "Fair. That is not normally how those speak of entropy but it is much better than how they do!" The living universe girl would chime in over against him. Then she would shake her head sadly.
"No, no it was not. It is gone now. And everything is far better for it and I hope that it never happens again."

Hyperion has posed:
Inclining his head to the left, Hyperion asks, "I apologize, but I do not understand. What is gone now?" He seems confused, "You -are- your universe, are you not?" he asks.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would shake her head and try to respond, "The universe where I was.. Acutalized. It was a.. Separate thing, the one where I ended up first when I came into being." The words being carefully chosen now just as it was.. NOt a process of explanation that lent itself to the use of words.

Hyperion has posed:
"It sounds as if any explanation could not be actualized with mere words. The concept of what you are.. a self-aware, sentient universe... I have heard of the concept of Eternity as an actualization of -this- entire universe. Are you simply a similar being on a smaller scale by any chance?" asks Hyperion as he drifts downward to set his feet on a nearby rooftop. Again, hoping to lead by example.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would nod, "I am not forever. Eternity is forever until it becomes nothingness." Nothing was truly forever in hte grand scheme of things. Not planets, not galaxies, not universes.. Everything had an end no matter the scope of how they arched.
"I do not think that I am. I merely am! I am Singularity. It is a pleasure to meet you!" She would offer a hand over.

Hyperion has posed:
Smiling at the offered hand, Hyperion accept it in his own grip. It seems strange to make physical contact with a pocket universe. "I think, therefor I am." he quotes, or at least paraphrases. He's not super educated.

"I go by Hyperion. Which.. sounds quite arrogant, being named after the Titan of Heavenly or Stellar Light. But.. I did not make up the name."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would smile, "There are those whom are Titans for this world." They are quite real, after all! "So there is only ensuring that you live up to the legacy of them. Or perhaps inspire more of it." She would correct hereslf, given the sometimes-reputations of those that had come from Cronos.

Hyperion has posed:
Tilting his head right, and then left... Hyperion does a variation of a shrug that way. "I think it comes from the energy I am able to project... it is like pure fusion or atomic power." a pause and he adds, "In the mythology, Hyperion was the father of Helios. But more importantly, his name was never mentioned in the myths as having been a part of the war between gods and Titans. So perhaps he merely did his thing and did not try to wage war on the world."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would nod, "That sounds like a good name. And one to base yourself off of. Or to merely have as one to compare oneself to." She would speak softly and in evaluation. Intrigued over and seeming to not mind how thee xchange went in the slightest. "Are you happy here, in this world?"

Hyperion has posed:
"I am helping others as best I can." replies Hyperion... not an -answer- so much as a deviation of the subject. "I miss my home, but at present there is no way that I can find to -get- home. And... if I do go back, it has been so long that I would likely throw the lives of my friends and family into chaos once more."

He shrugs and shakes his head, "I would love to go home, but I would not want to make things difficult for others. So I am doing what I can to make a difference here."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would nod at Hyperion, "I understand." She can go to other dimensions.. But with nothing tos ense and no real idea of location or familiarization she could never find it. Not the world nor the universe. "Then you have made a home for yourself in this one and adapted. And perhaps someday should yoyu wish you could return there."

Hyperion has posed:
Shrugging his shoulders, Hyperion admits, "I do what I can. I have an apartment and a job. But.. I have no need for food, water, or even sleep. So it's not that I -need- a home to live in but.. it is just what I do for the sake of trying to feel normal from time to time."

He turns and looks out over the city. "I can see everything. I see and hear the whole city... and there is not a single moment in time when -nobody- needs help. As fast as I am however, I cannot be everywhere at once. So I try to moderate myself."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity would nod, "It is good to try and be normaland like those around you. When you move so far beyond them.. They think of them not as people, merely things. And those things can be meaningless and not matter. In that way one does not care of them. Not to protect them, not how onet reats them, not what happens to them. It brings to disposal of them and suffering."
Her words would be firm. Perhaps what her universe was like?
