Synopsis: Venom gives Gwen a chicken for Valentine's Day. Really, a chicken!?
Cast of Characters: Eddie Brock, Gwen Stacy

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock sneaks in through the window after peeking through to make sure Gwen isn't in the room. It's late at night. She should be in bed by now. The inky black skin of Venom disappears back into his body as Eddie is careful to not scratch up anything where he was clinging to the wall.

Beneath one arm he is carrying... a chicken. And not looking too happy about it, truth be told.

<<Eddie>> "Why did we bring one of them back with us?"

<<Venom>> "Because I will be hungry again soon. It is bad enough you making me eat chicken brains! But to have to sneak in to that place during the night just to eat!?"

Eddie Brock lets out a sign.    <<Eddie>> "But we can't keep a chicken here. I mean, I think Gwen is going to notice. We'll have to take it up to the roof and... I don't know maybe we can make a collar and leash for it so it doesn't run off?"

He closes the window and backs away from it, but bumps into the table. A few taller, thinner objects upon it topple over, making noise that Eddie didn't want to make. Noise that might wake Gwen up.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
The problem with being a vigilante (well, a superhero!) is that Gwen keeps some really odd hours. Many of her excuses are that she is out studying late, or at the lab. Which hey, sometimes she does. But that often? Not really. So tonight she is returning from one of her raids out into the city. Just a couple of attempted bank robberies. Slow night, but still good enough to be out there.

And boy, does she hope that Eddie is still asleep. He most likely is, since he didn't tell her about any plans for tonight. And it's not like she knows he's Venom! So just as Eddie is getting into the kitchen and bumps and makes those objects clatter down there's a Gwen walking in...

She is dressed in some tight shirt and a pair of really shorty-shorts. She wears it under her costume. A costume that she has in her hands but that she hides behind her back reaaaaal fast. It's just a bundle of black and white clothing, really!

"Uh ..., is that a chicken under your arm or are you really happy to..." She pauses, "No .., don't think that's what I wanted to say." blue eyes blink a couple of times and she looks a bit like a deer under headlights.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie whirls around as he hears Gwen's footsteps moving into the room. His mind races for what to do with the chicken. Thoughts of shoving it into a cabinet or drawer race through his head. But she's seen it already so what would that accomplish?

Any hope that Gwen might ignore the elephant in the room, the one of the chicken variety, is dashed as she asks about it right away. As any sane person would. Eddie stammers for a just a moment, and then he takes a step forward, just a little more jerky than usual, and lifts the chicken with both hands, the movement also a bit stiff. "Happy Valentine's Day!" Eddie tells her, his face breaking out in a big hopeful smile.

A smile that isn't Eddie Brock's doing.   <<Eddie>> "What are you doing!"

<<Venom>> "I am saving you from this mess that you got yourself into."

<<Eddie>> "Wait, how is this MY fault!?"

Eddie takes back over his body. "Hey Gwen," he says in his deep warbling voice. "I thought, you know, what could I get for you that would be... ah... special," he says, only barely keeping the final words from sounding more of a question than a statement.

Venom takes Eddie's voice back over. "His name is Sonny," he ventures, before Eddie takes back over again. "Even though, it's a girl chicken."

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Those blue eyes shift from staring in confusion to now looking a bit more suspicious. What the ... Is Gwen buying any of this? Maybe not. Buuuut, she does have her actual Ghost Spider outfit hidden behind her back so she may as well try not to make to much out of it. Because she doesn't want to be discovered as being Ghost Spider! "Valentine's...?" oh, drat. Another thing she had forgotten about...

"Wait, a chicken for Valentine?" she eyes the creature between those large hands, "You realize people usually offer cats, or dogs... Or even a parakeet."

She walks over to the kitchen counter, keeping herself always facing him, "If she's Sonny, where's Cher?" She then immediately asks, arching a brow. "But if she's a girl shouldn't she be Cher?" see? All good questions!

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie just feels relief that Gwen didn't throw him out of the apartment. Yet. "Well, Cher is still coming," Eddie says, thinking quickly. If not perhaps, intelligently. "And, sure, I mean a dog or a cat can sit in your lap and cuddle. But, they can't lay you fresh eggs, can they?" he says. Really just making it up as he goes.

"I can, ah... make a little roost on the roof," he says, glancing around the apartment. "Assuming you don't want him, her... them, in here, all the time," he tells her.

He sets the chicken down. It seems docile enough, happy to slowly walk about exploring the apartment. "I got you something else," he tells her, going over to a drawer, and pulling out some things that he'd hidden way in the back where she wouldn't be likely to find them. There's a Valentine's card in a red envelope, It has a heart on the front and there's a cutout that shows a picture placed inside, of Gwen and Eddie together. Also a little heart-shaped box that contains some chocolates, though it's a small one. "Happy Valentine's Day, Gwen," he tells her.

Gwen Stacy has posed:

"No, we got Mrs. Wong for that..." Mrs. Wong does claim to have the freshest eggs in this side of Manhattan! " ... I mean, she doesn't lay eggs, I mean she has them." then a pause, nose wrinkling, "Well, considering how nasty she can be sometimes I do wonder if she may not just be an alien from outer space..." you know, like a certain klyntar!

But then Gwen is quirking a brow, "Wait, you got another?" that has her blink again. Yet it's not like she loses track of what's going on and when Eddie goes to put the chicken down is when Gwen gets rid of her outfit, by tossing it behind the fridge which she had strategically approached. It will have to do for now! And with that out of the way it means her hands are free, and immdiately brought to her hips. "Out of all the surprises you have done to me I think this one might be the most wild..." is she saying that as a question? Though she sounds relieved, for some reason.

"I am going to admit though .., valentine's had totally skipped my mind.." she murmurs, though her eyes do light up when Eddie takes out those other gifts, "Happy Valentine's Eddie." she grins brilliantly up at him before approaching to place a kiss on his lips.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie realizes if Gwen doesn't break up with him over giving her a chicken for Valentine's Day, he really does have something wonderful with her. Not that he'd ever doubted that already.

As she moves to give him the kiss, he reaches down, arms encircling her slim waist and lifting her off the ground against his larger frame. Hugging her to him as he shares the soft kiss with her, before gently setting her back down. Though his arms stay about her.

"Just being here with you is the only present I could ever need," Eddie tells her, reaching up rest his palm gently along her cheek. "I love you, Gwen. More than I think I can ever find the words to say," he tells her. Before pausing and giving a chuckle at his own expense. "Maybe chickens aren't the best way to express it, but... I do love you," he tells her.

Eddie slides his hands up and down her back. "So I'm thinking I can probably throw in a nice massage as well. And maybe tonight we can make dinner and take it up to the roof if it's not too cold?" he suggests.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
"Chickens *definitely* aren't the best way to express it." Gwen replies rather firmly back at Eddie but does let out a soft laugh in the end. Arms go up to wrap around his neck, "I love you too, Eddie Brock." closing her eyes into the kiss and relaxing her body against his briefly.

"That sounds like a great plan.." She then whispers about the massage and spending some time on the roof. But a moment later she is quirking a brow, "Do you even know what chickens eat, though? You realize we got to feed it."

What have you gotten yourself into, Eddie Brock?

Eddie Brock has posed:
The thoughts of the chicken having to do with 'feeding' definitely had not centered around meals the chicken would consume. "Oh, sure. I mean. They eat like... you know, the stuff that they toss around on the ground for them. Probably like bird seed? Or maybe corn?" Eddie ventures, while a hand ends up scratching through the hair on the back of his head.

"If only we had one of those internet thingies," he says, looking around the apartment like he might spot one, before turning back to Gwen and smiling at her. "If you don't like the chicken we don't have to keep it. Call it... an impulse buy," he tells her. "But if you want to give it a go, we can give Sonny, and maybe a Cher, a try," he says. "IF it's too cold on the roof, can take her down to my place," he says. He still has his apartment, just a few doors down the street at ground level. And frankly it's so run down, a chicken wouldn't be out of place in it.

He leans his forehead against hers. "Maybe you can sell eggs to Mrs. Wong?" he suggests with a chuckle.
