Date of Scene: 17 February 2022
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey
Synopsis: Heroes, both costumed and not, get together to help collect donations and drive relief for people affected by the recent events in NYC!
Cast of Characters: Kamala Khan, Monet St. Croix, Peter Parker, Nikolas Kamarov, Carol Danvers, Molly Hayes, Hella Rokkurdisardottir, Vivian Vision, Reed Richards, Bart Allen, Emiko Queen, Oliver Queen

Kamala Khan has posed:
While the City That Never Sleeps might offer an endless supply of activity, there has been quite a lot of it in the last couple months, urging some of its neighbors to start pitching in. Besides, there's never a bad time to do some good. Jersey City has been keeping a watchful eye on the Big Apple for over two hundred years and won't be stopping now! Central Ave has been blocked off in front of Pershing Field Park so the community can come and show their support. There are several rows of tables for incoming donations of food, clothing, toiletries, and even small toys. The Jersey City Fire Department's Engine 7 Ladder 3 are busy collecting donations and moving them into boxes for sorting.

Volunteers are busy handing out hot chocolate and s'mores ingredient kits. The Fire Chief is nearby to assist children (and particularly doofy adults) with safely melting their marshmallow over their choice of metal-drum-fires.

On the sidewalk nearest the park, several food trucks have been parked so people wanting something a little heartier can get it. A small bespoke stage built out of metal risers and palette wood has been created, though stagehands are still busy setting up. Just below the stage, though, is Jersey City's resident wannabe superhero: Ms. Marvel. Well, the teenage girl /claiming/ to be Ms. Marvel. She's there taking selfies with people who approach. "Thanks for coming!" Ms. Marvel cheers before giving the apparent fan's smartphone a peace-sign pose.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix isn't particularly here to help out. She's more here to observe. But the networking opportunities here are invaluable. Ergo M is moving over to rather blandly help get things together and to hand out things as needed. She's not paying particular attention to it. THe joy of such things are that they require very litlte focus. Smile, look helpful, and help hand things out or ask questions as needed or answer them. So M is using the vast majority of her attention to look at the others present and see which of them she could engage with.

Peter Parker has posed:
Big Jake has been a mainstay of Manhattan since he started with a hot-dog cart, selling chili dogs. He has a simple formula. 100-percent kosher beef franks, and his wife makes the homemade chili fresh every night.

And after a two-month hiatus, Big Jake is back in business...with a very special helper.
As Jake, his son (Little Jake, of course), and his wife work in the food truck, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is out working the crowd, taking orders, and taking out food to the people who ordered it. He has a special "demonstration" crook posted to the right of the food truck, for webshooter demonstrations. After all, if you see a guy in a super-suit taking orders, the go-to assumption is that they're an actor.

"Order up! Order Number 19, three chili dogs, two chili waffle fries! Order 19!"

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Nikolas likewise isn't here to directly contribute, despite any sympathies he might have. Instead, he's here in his "official" position as a bodyguard for the Russian ambassador sent to make his public donations on behalf of the Russian Federation and to show just how "kind" Russia is for its less fortunate world neighbors. Mostly it's a lot of being seen thus far.

Though at least the food trucks mean he can get something to eat. A chili dog sounds great right now, and as he hears the order up from the nearby truck, he speaks quietly with one of his fellow guards then slips away on a break to order one himself. "Two chili dogs, with onions and cheese." he says to Spiderman, raising a brow slightly at his appearance. "You are friendly neighborhood chili dog maker now?" he says with amusement.

Carol Danvers has posed:
A shortbus pulls up, with the name of a not-too-distant elementary school on it. A few signs in windows have drawings of various heroes. While not exclusively drawings of Avengers, they account for over half at least. The chaperones step off the bus and then the kids, each name getting checked off on a clipboard to make sure how many they came with, so they can later leave with the same amount.

The kids go around to the back where the doors open to boxes that the elementary schoolers help unload. Meanwhile one of the teachers pulls out her phone and makes a call. "Yes. We've arrived, if you want to come now. It'll just make their day," she says before hanging up.

About a minute later a figure can be seen zooming through the sky. A halo of cosmic energy surrounds Captain Marvel, only for visual effect, not really needed for this particular flight. She lands near the bus and lets the energy fade away while the kids start reacting with excitement. "Oh my goodness, you're the kids from P.S. 512 that I met two months ago, aren't you!?" Carol exclaims, as if the whole thing wasn't arranged. A babble of voices reply to her all at once, and Carol talks to a few. The kids not noticing the teacher whispering names into Carol's ear so she can remember them by name.

She goes over to get two boxes and accompany the kids in carrying them over to the drop off point.

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly Hayes is making her way around, her low attention span and eager energy meaning that she isn't likely to linger at any one place for a while. She sees Kamala and runs up to give a wave and a greeting, "Hi, Ms. Marvel! I'm Molly, but I'm also called Princess Powerful! I'm a superhero, too. You may have seen, I caught a building in Metropolis on Friday! I met Superman! He said I did a good job and he got me a glass of water after I fainted."

The prospect of chili will not be resisted for very long, much to the deteriment of Molly digestive system, but that's never stopped her before. She wears a bright blue hoodie with a Grumpy Bear Care Bears hat with a little raincloud on it. But she seems anything but grumpy.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
If the Fire Department -- be it Jersey or New York -- is part of an event, you can bet your sweet Aunt Suzy's ash can that Hella Rokkurdisardottir will /be there./ With bells on! Despite the temperature, she's dressed in only half turnout gear -- her well-built upper body is displayed in a snugly fitting white tank top and the overalls that hold up her turnout pants, a fireman's helmet on her head from beneath which twin white-blonde long braids trail down over her shoulders. She's got on her work boots, and a big-ass grin. She /loves/ this kind of thing. She's playing with kids, helping adults wrangle them with giggles and gentle hands.

Once, Hella spots her friend, Spider-Man, in the crowd, and she calls over to him with a loud, thickly Russian-accented greeting, "HYELLO, SPIDEY! NICE TO SEE YOU!" She waves to him, hopping a little girl on her hip and pointing in the superhero's direction, "You see Spider-Man? He is my friend! Maybe we can meet him. What do you think of that, unh?" she beams at the little girl.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey grins under the mask, and the playfulness comes out in his voice as he calls the order to Little Jake, "Two chilis, onions and cheese!" He looks back to Nikolas. "Me 'n Big Jake go back a few years. He told me he was doing this event, and I had to come and help." He waves to Big Jake, who waves back and grins. "No small jobs, only small people. My uncle taught me that. Hey, not too late to add fries and a drink to make it two combos!"

He spots Hella and gives a quick wave, but is seemingly intent on seeing if Nikolas will go in on the combos.

Vivian Vision has posed:
With the main GIRL HQ in the New Jersey area it's not hard for Vivian Vision to fly over and help out a good cause. And thanks to her family connections she hasn't arrived empty handed!

If anything she might have her hands a little too full. Hefting a bundle of clothes to donate over her head that will probably fill the back of a van all on it's own.

Thankfully between her synthezoid senses, enhanced strength and the ability to holographically project a warning perimeter it's unlikely she's going to cause an accident. And with a real life Avenger on site she's probably not even drawing that many stares!

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Nikolas nods to Spider-Man. "It does you credit to be here helping. To be seen." He chuckles at the add on, shaking hsi head. "Very well. A large fries and a Coke." he adds to the order, sliding a hand inside his trenchcoat to tug out a battered looking wallet. "It seems many are coming to visit today...the people here seem very strong. Brought together by this." he comments thoughtfully, handing over some bills to pay.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Definitely very useful here. Monet St. Croix is spending most of her time watching at others with interest, more than happy to occasionally look over. Making a point of not using her telepathy (such things are extremely inappropriate) Monet just watches. Interested and looking about to occasionally see what other things she can notice. Making sure to keep up a smile on her face while doing so.

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards has forgotten how to make a subtle entrance. As he pilots the version of the fantasticar most widely known as the flying bathtub over towards the affair and lands off to the side. In an accessible but entirely legal parking spot a bit away from the festivities. He steps elastically from the vehicle. Working his way through the crowd. There is double beep as he activates the alarm.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Undaunted by the brief wave, Hella tells the little girl's mother that she might be able to get her little girl an introduction to Spider-Man, if the mother is amenable. She smiles as the little girl's mother agrees and comes along with Hella as she makes her way over to Big Jake's, still holding the little girl on her hip.

She's not about to interrupt conversation or business transactions, so she remains quiet as Spider-Man and Nikolas exchange pleasant words. Whenever she has the opportunity, she steps up to make her own order, "Four dogs with everything, one large Sprite, and whatever you have for cute little girls with pigtails." She smiles big and bright, looking at the little girl in question. The little girl's mother steps in, "Water is fine!" She looks a little starstruck to be seeing Spider-Man in person, let alone ordering a water from him! "Spider-Man, my friend. Meet Angelica. She lost her papa, but her mama is here with her today, and they are big fans, just like me!" she grins, her dimples popping up.

Bart Allen has posed:
There is a blur over near the donations, as the pile foes from standard sized to boxes and more boxes and more boxes. The blur keeps going and soon there is multiple pallets worth of goods in each of the piles. All the boxes have the Queen Industries Logo on them, and standing in front of them for a moment is Impulse. He looks around for someone who looks like they are in charge, and tells them. "Delivery for the charity drive. I believe Queen industries is sending over a representative as well." He then looks around and sees Spiderman taking orders, he wonders if it is the real Spiderman or not, but heads over and waits tapping his foot a bit more in energy levels than anything else. He will wait and if looked over to he will ask "Can I get 2 dozen dogs all the way except for onions?"

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol notes some familiar faces as she and the kids get the boxes over to the donation spot. She talks with them a little more. That she'd previously visited their school likely has a lot to do with the pro-Avenger nature of their drawings on the bus.

Take that, JLA! Ok she's a member of them as well.

Saying goodbye to the kids as they go over to enjoy a meal of hot dogs, fruit cups and juice boxes, Carol turns back to the rest of the crowd. She walks over to the organizer, waiting for Kamala Khan to have a moment. "Just wanted to say it looks like a great turn out," Carol offers. "And here's a check from the Avengers Foundation to put towards things," she says, offering an envelope over to her.

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly Hayes sees Hella and runs over to her, giving her a playful slap on the back, "Hey there, it's you again! Hella, right? Man, you are so darn BEEFY you make me wanna eat some ravioli!" she grins, giving a flex of her own to express her feelings.

"Do you know anyone who could make me a jet pack? Like...for free?" she says, then turns towards Spider-Man, "SPIDEY BUILD ME A JET PACK I'LL PAY YOU BACK I PROMISE."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix's intents are over on Old Man Richards. Quite possibly the smartest man on the planet or even perhaps in human history. She watches from afar whilte not moving to interact with what might be actual awe over in her positioning and watching him. She's not moving towards him, just going to help.

Kamala Khan has posed:
You can spot the Jersey City natives almost immediately. They have a certain way about them, a down-to-earth pleasantness that looks like it could easily drop off at any minute, ready to immediately throw down if you argue with them about which state the Jets play in. They're the ones not weirded out at the idea of melting marshmallows around a can fire and have strong opinions on whether it's called Taylor Ham or Pork Roll. Still, they're a pleasant enough bunch, eager to help out just as much as being able to say they stepped up for the 'real' city on the other side of the river.

"Oh yeah!" Ms. Marvel cries out, grinning at Molly. "I heard about that! Seriously, a building. A building! Hey, what's Supes like, anyway? Does he have good breath or bad breath? Because, I have some theories about that I'm interested in getting---"

Record. Screech. If there's someone more excited than the kids from P.S. 512 to see Carol Danvers, it's Ms. Marvel. "Omigoshomigoshomigosh. Carol. Danvers." Ms. Marvel's eyebrows rise up immediately, testing the true limits of the adhesive that keeps her domino mask securely fastened. She's ready to take off in Carol's direction before.... NOPE. "Darn it," Ms. Marvel mutters, remembering. /Kamala Khan/ is a huge fan of Carol Danvers. Kamala. /Ms. Marvel/, on the other hand, is just some kid who stole her name without asking.

"Is she coming this way?" Ms. Marvel mutters at Molly. Oh, yes, she is. And before she even knows what's happening, Carol is talking to her. Complimenting the turnout. Handing her a check. "Oh..... That's.... greoool." Blink. "I, uh, tried to say 'great' and my brain thought 'cool' ...."

"Can I smell your breath?" Ms. Marvel asks before her brain can make sure she doesn't.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man turns to upgrade Nikolas's order and hand over the money, then turns to give Nikolas his change. "I'll get those to you as soon as they're up."
He turns again to see Angelica, her mother and Hella, then smiles and listens attentively. He calls over to Little Jake, "Four boxcars, one large Sprite, and one H2O for the little lady!"
He turns back and takes Angelica's hand for a moment. "It's always great to meet my fans, really. You ladies and other fans like you? You keep me going on the bad days, that's no lie. Thank you for believing in me."

He straightens up, then looks over to...

Holy gosh, is that the Flash?
The IDENTI-COSTUME software responds with: IMPULSE.
Hey, he's still a hero.
He looks to Little Jake, then calls, "TWO DOZEN boxcars, no onions, and give 'em wings!"
He looks back to Impulse, then says, "Sorry for the wait. They'll get them out ASAP."

Then the young girl pops up asking for...a jetpack? Wow, that's...
Hey, now...maybe...

Another project for another day. He looked to Molly. "Sorry, I don't have any jetpacks. All I can get you today are the best chili dogs in town."

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen arrives on the scene with a smile and glances around, spotting the donations, seeing the boxes from Queen Industries and giving a grin. She's dressed to the nines today since she's here as representative for Queen Industries. One of those sleek black women's suits with a crimson shirt, expensive jewelry, the whole shebang. She may also be having a private moment of inner squee to see so many costumed heroes present. Cool, Emi, play it cool.. OMG IT'S CAPTAIN MARVEL.

Drawing on sheer willpower, Emiko draws in a steadying breath and approaches... just in time to hear Kamala's question for Carol. She can't help it. She tries to smother the laugther behind her hand, playing it off as a small cough attack, clearing her throat after. Nope! Totally didn't hear that! Not a thing.

Turning a decidedly amused smile towards the organizer of the events, she extends a hand and a chek, "Hello. Emiko Queen. This is from Queen Industries, to help with all the efforts. We can't thank you enough for putting this together. If there's anything else that the Queens can do to assist, please don't hesitate to ask."

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
"Certainly." Niko says agreeably, stepping to the side as he glances over to where Spiderman is looking, raising a brow. "So many heroes here now...interesting." he says thoughtfully. He certainly doesn't count himself among that rarified society....not with the sins on his soul, but still. It's good to see. "I do like seeing how the people pull together here...it gives you some hope for humanity, hmm?"

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards circulates with casual ease. Nodding and making small talk, "Yes, thank you, appreciiate the support." "Hot dogs are delicious.""Burgers? Well they both have their place.""Yes, the Invisible Woman is my favorite as well."Can you stretch my-" Reed sighs and kneels so that a young boy can pull on his nose, which stretches comically.

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol Danvers breaks out in a grin at the reaction from Ms. Marvel. "Happens to me too," she tells the younger woman. Rather than reply about the breath question - when was the last time she used a mint anyway? - Carol tells her, "Big fan of you taking up the Ms. Marvel mantle. From everything I've seen you've done a great job of adding to the legacy. And love your costume too. Makes me nostalgic for my black one, while putting your own stamp on it. Wonderful."

The woman turns as Emiko comes over and offers the donation from the Starling-based corporation. "Very nice of your family. I recall running into Oliver at a past charity event as well. Please pass along my greeting to when you see him next," Carol says, staying low key about her fellow Justice League member's identity.

Carol looks back out at the crowd. "Excellent turnout. I'll go mingle a little bit," she says, looking back to Ms. Marvel. "Give me a call sometime and we can team up and clobber some bad guys together," she says with a wink. Someone is already approaching with an autograph book, Carol taking it and signing it.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella feels the WHUMPH on her back. She /feels/ it. She turns her head in surprise to find none other than one Molly Hayes' grinning face greeting her. "Well, hello there, Molly!" she says, smiling just as brightly as the young lady.

Hella grins at Spider-Man as he addresses the mother and little Angelica, just...making their hearts burst with excitement. The mother is in tears, though she's smiling, and shakes his hand. Little Angelica says, "I love you, Spider-Man." She looks shy and adorable, then blows him an awkward little kiss. It must be something her mother taught her to do. "Oh, my gosh," Hella says, getting choked up. She hands Little Angelica to her mother as the water arrives. The mother and daughter scurry off, saying thank-yous and excuse-mes as they go. Meanwhile, Hella loads her hands up with all her dogs and big drink. "Thank you, friend!" she smiles at Spidey, then turns her attention to Molly, Nikolas, and Impulse, since they're all sort of behind her.

Hella nods politely to Nikolas and Impulse, greeting them with her thick Russian accented, "Hello! Nice day!" Then, to Molly, Hella lifts a brow, "What you want jetpack for? If is for superheroing, I maybe know someone who can help." She grins broadly at that, thinking of her newfound friend, Ted Kord.

Vivian Vision has posed:
The stack of several tons of clothing donations and the synthezoid transporting it continues to make her way through the crowd. Occasionally pausing so Viv can apologise to someone for making them need to take a detour. It seems even a holographic warning beacons won't always stop the people of New Jersey.

Rather than shout over the crowd she drops her room-mate an SMS message. <<GIRL probably has some experimental technology you could test pilot. Providing you are willing to undertake all the mandatory safety training courses and pass some exams! :) >>

A message which probably instills false hope before dashing it with the prospect of exams...

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles a bit and says "No problem, am used to waiting for orders." He will look about and nods, and then is off for a moment, and back in the blink of an eye. He has a teddy bear in his hand, and looks over to little girl's mom, and makes a motion of questioning as he shakes the bear and motions towards the girl Hella is holding if the mother says ok, he will move to slip the bear to Spidey. The bear is a build a bear style bear in a spiderman costume.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix is very thoughtful, looking out. Tearing herself away over from her personal little focus and zoning out like she were her younger sister. These heroes are all here to help people. A reminder to her to do teh same and to stop simply faking her way through it. So she's moving along to go to start help a little omre proactively.

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Glancing over the crowd, Niko spots Monet, raising a hand to wave to get her attention. "Miss Monet! You see, I told you. New York is a small place after all, to run into you again." he jokes, his eyes twinkling a bit. "You are out to help today?" He motions to the pile of boxes and the general atmosphere of the crowds.

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly Hayes sighs, "Sadly, chili dogs will not make me fly. Although they do make my butt fire like a rocket! If only I could eat enough chili dogs to rocket myself up to fight evil! But then I would leave an awful stink behind and I'd have to change my superhero name to Princess Stinkbug or The Stench," she says. "Not worth it."

To Hella, she says, "Really? Oh, that's awesome, I'll meet anybody who can get me a jet pack. I mean, not just them, I'm happy to meet most anybody. Unless they'r evil. But you wouldn't invite me to meet someone evil cause you're a good guy like me. I mean, not a guy, you're all woman. A huge beautiful woman."

Emiko Queen has posed:
Her smile turns towards Carol Danvers as Emiko gives a small nod, "Thank you, Ms. Danvers. I'll be sure to pass that along to Ollie." There's that inner quee moment again. CAROL TALKED TO HER!! AHHHHHHHHH! Keeping that warm but neutral expression carefully in place, she turns back to Kamala Khan and nods, "A pleasure, Ms. Marvel. I'll let you get back to your event."

Stepping away, she looks around again, trying to spot someone in the cr- ..that's Spiderman handing out hotdogs! Oh! There's Impulse! She offers a wave towards the speedy superhero and starts that way to properly thank him for his assistance in delivering the donations.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man blinks at the bear, then looks over to Impulse with a wry (if hidden) grin. "Nice move there. You're...Impulse, right? We've never met. I'm Spider-Man. It's a pleasure to meet you." He extends a hand to Impulse.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella smiles wryly at Spider-Man, "I think bear is for Angelica, Spidey." She grins and takes it from him, turning to smile at Impulse. "Thank you for gift to Angelica. I will tell her is special gift from Impulse. So nice to meet you," she says, shaking his hand with her now-free hand. She's already scarfed two hotdogs!

Carol Danvers has posed:
Captain Marvel makes her way through the crowd, rubbing shoulders, signing autographs, and thanking people for bringing out their donations. The chance to meet superheroes is part of what draws them out, and so she does her part to try to make it worthwhile.

A little four year old who wants to fly is picked up with her parent's approval, and Carol floats up into the air but only about a half dozen feet above the crowd, twirling the girl in a circle about her before setting her back down. The little girl is all smiles as she's back on the ground with her mother.

Carol continues with the mingling, until she's drawn near to Reed Richards. "Always a hit with the kids, Reed. Great to see you out here. Is old Stoney Face coming too?" she asks.

Kamala Khan has posed:
"Does it ever happen when you're monologue-ing? Like, you're gonna tell some dummy that 'Crime Doesn't Pay' but then your stomach starts growling and you say 'Welcome to Subway' ... And you don't even work at Subway? I mean, I don't. You don't, either."

    This could be going better.

Ms. Marvel's mouth hangs open, dropping down a little past the normal size of a human mouth, staring up at Carol with a look frozen in disbelief when she suggests getting together to punch some faces in. "You, you mean, like, a team-up? A crossover event!?" she announces. "I mean, yeah! I like clobbering bad guys!" Get out now. Go, while you're still ahead. Gogogo. Her hand starts to slowly get closer and closer to the ground as her arm starts to lose its shape.

"Okay, so, I'm just going to, uh, /go/...."

She tries to go, really she does! But then, there's Emiko introducing herself, presenting her another check. "Oh, wow....." Ms. Marvel cheers."That's so generous of you!" Should she look? That would be rude. Her eyes dart down at the paper and then back up. "So so generous! Will you excuse meeenjff?" Ms. Marvel reaches up to cover her mouth, which has started to hang open, her lip drooping down a bit.

"/Vivianfffmn/" Ms. Marvel mutters, managing to get all the way over to the synthezoid. "...Carrofhl Damangvers." The teen superhero is so excited her body has lost much of its rigidity.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen shakes the hand that is offered to him and says "Yes, I'm Impulse, one of the Flash family." He says giving the family it's props." He looks over to Hella, and smiles a bit and says "I think it is from Spider-man to Angelica, it is in a spider-bear costume after all. One from me." He zips off and is back in a second and has another bear in a costume like his "This one would be from me." He offers the bear to the girl. " He sees Emiko and waves to her letting her know he is there. Back to the ones around him, "I end up all over the place, I need to take time to meet more heroes." He offers Molly a nod in greeting and says "I heard there was one of the X-men who has a power like that."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would glance over at Niko and approach, "Greetings." She would reply over and go to nod her head, "I hope that you have been well. And it is.. Appropriate to help others, particularly at things like this."

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
"Well enough." Niko allows gruffly. "No real excitement of late. The embassy was evacuated so I have been elsewhere for some time, until it was deemed safe enough to return. Fortunately the embassy did not sustain major damage in the fighting." He shrugs his shoulders. "I'm pleased to see you are well. I wondered if you would be caught up in this mess."

Vivian Vision has posed:
Vivian Vision has just about found a good spot to put her bundle down. And does so in dramatic show off fashion by phasing and letting it fall to the floor. Then simply walking through the side.

A holographic warning message proclaiming 'Don't try this at home!'

She greets Ms Marvel with a smile. "Yes, I believe it is. Unless of course it's an doppelganger from another universe. But typically they tend to be evil... Or at least that does seem to be the case with every alternate universe Pym Industries has reached..."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod at Nikolas, "I am glad that you were able to get all personnel out. I presume there were no security breaches during the incident or during the evacuation of personnel?" That was always a risk when removing people from a highly secured area after all.

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards signs a few autographs, "Is that eBay with a capital B?" And generally makes a low-key spectacle. He stretches, and rolls and makes waves and sines. At one point turning himself into a tilt-a-whirl.

He smiles and nods to Carol, with a sigh, "Play to your strengths Sue always says. Captain, always a pleasure." He wonders if Carol ever knew Reed's rank when he 'retired'. "No, sadly Ben is in one of his moods. How have you been? Sword keeping you busy? Am I still on the watch list?"

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko reaches the small cluster of heroes and people, offering a smile as she nods towards them all, "Hello. Emiko Queen. A pleasure to meet you all." She turns the smile up to Impulse, "And a special thank you to you for delivering all the donations. It was very kind." Then she's stepping up to Spiderman and leaning in, quietly asking, "Would it be terribly rude if I offered to pay for a free hot dog or bowl of chili and a drink for everyone attending? Whatever toppings they want."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey is about to say something when Big Jake waves him over to the food truck. He heads over, listens, then sighs and stretches his arms out in front of him.

Then, with talent borns of long practice, Big Jake lays out a dozen chili dogs in their paper cradles on Spidey's arms. One arm holds one dozen, the other holding the other dozen.

With great care, Spidey carries the two dozen boxcars-without-onions over the heads of the sitting diners.
He gets back to Impulse, then says, "Grab 'em and have at it."

And of course, while he has two armsfuls of chili dogs, a pretty lady in a proper suit he could probably never afford walks up to him and asks. As he waits for Impulse to offload his food, he says, "That doesn't sound rude to me, Miss. Just let Little Jake know you want to open a tab, and I'll get the word out." He pauses, then adds, "That's right decent of you, ma'am."

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
"There were none that I could discuss. If there were any." Niko says blandly, his eyebrows raising slightly. "We were fortunate enough to leave early and to have aerial transport to get everyone clear though, which helped. A pity there were not more vehicles available for airlifting out residents. But then, they still seem to have gotten out with very few casualties, considering." He pauses to accept his two combos from Spidey as he passes, then glances at M. "Would you like one? I was talked into combos." he adds bemusedly.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella smiles to Impulse and nods, "My pleasure to deliver." She accepts the second bear, the Impulse special, and grins, "Because I'm so scatterbrained, just want to say, I'm Hella Rokkurdisardottir. Because I forgot to before. Nice to meet you. I will give to Angelica."

Hella offers a very warm, comfortably firm handshake to Emiko, "Nice to meet you, Emiko Queen. Hella Rokkurdisardottir, NY firefighter and aspiring superhero." Her dimpled grin is pleasant. "I think is excellent idea," she says to Emiko's offer. "I must go give little Angelica her gifts! Excuse me," she smiles and waves with both bears in one hand.

With that, Hella turns and begins making her way back over to where the children are, scanning for Angelica and her mother. Spotting them, she makes her way over and hands the bears to Angelica, who seems utterly delighted to receive them, hugging one in each arm. The mother casts a wave in the direction to Impulse and Spider-Man, a show of thanks, followed by a double-handed kiss blown. Maybe they see, maybe not. The thought is there, the good-will is felt and grows.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would give a low nod at Nikolas, "Of course." She would reply after a moment in very low amusement. As if having been giving a very minor test that was passed. A light twitch in her eyes of appreciation at someone that was doing their job properly. Glancing at Spider-Man, "Ah, thank you." She would take it and sort of stare at it.

Carol Danvers has posed:
"More than busy," Carol agrees. "I need to find a little me time. I inherited a place I still haven't been to, though planning to go take a look. It probably needs a bunch of upkeep and should be a good chance to get away," she confides in Reed.

Spotting Vivian in the crowd, Carol raises a hand to wave her way and sends across comms, <<Hello Vivian. Good to see you here.>> She barely gets that out when there's another autograph seeker to deal with. She signs it and looks at the page next to it. "Ah, you got Janet's signature I see. Good get, that," she says, passing it back to them.

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Niko hands over one of the combo packs to Monet, taking a sip from his own drink before he starts in on one of the chili cheese dogs with gusto. "Mmmmm..." he grunts approvingly, before swallowing. 'Chili dogs. Terrible for you, but one of those great Americanisms nonetheless."

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko smiles to Hella, shaking her hand, "A pleasure Miss Rokkurdisardottir. Thank you for everything you do for the city."

As Hella heads off, she looks back to Spiderman and smiles, "Thank you, I'll speak to Little Jake." She glances at the two dozen dogs for Impulse, lifting a brow with an amused smile on her lips, then turns and heads to go set up a tab with Little Jake.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will speed through 22 of the hotdogs at speed, and slows down with two left. He looks over to Spiderman and says "Thanks." He then looks over to Emiko, and says "No problem, I like to help anyway I can, he will offer her one of the hotdogs left "Would you care for one?" HE asks the lady.

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards smiles as the crowd carries Carol away. He pulls out a phone taking a moment to type. Then returns to the crowd.

Kamala Khan has posed:
Ms. Marvel shakes her arm out a little, causing the limb to wiggle about in the air like a hose. She reaches up with her other one to support her floppy chin. "D'ygou thfphink she can see thisf?" she says to Vivian as her body continues to not cooperate. Is she going to be /stuck/ like that? It's like every molecule in her body is working to actively embarrass her. Nothing can snap her out of this. Nothing except...

"That's not rude at all!" Ms. Marvel announces, suddenly back to a normal shape and running through the crowd towards the hot dog cart that will be handling Emiko's very generous offer to buy everyone hot dogs.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would move to take a tentative bit and put up a show of liking it. Whether or not it was honest would be really hard to tell. She was a very good actress. but it could be actual sincerity. She had been around in the states long enough to have had American food.

Vivian Vision has posed:
The nice thing about being synthetic is you can multi-task. << Good day Captain Danvers. I trust you are well? It is good you have finally been able to meet Ms Marvel. She's a big fan.. Which I am sure you have gathered.>>

Viv gives Ms Marvel another smile. "If you would like I can put up a holographic bubble to give you a moment to compose yourself?" She frowns. "Also it's unlikely she would know that is anything but normal for your ability. But I could ask if you like...?"

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Niko takes another bite of his chili dog as he watches the display. "So many brightly colored heroes out today." he comments. "I expected more to be unable to do much more than recover after the assault for days." He's well aware of how quickly energy breaks down in a prolonged conflict...too many wars, too many years.

Peter Parker has posed:
Little Jake's blinks twice, and he looks to his father, who quickly susses out the offer and nods. "Give us a credit card we can bill, and you got it!"

Spider-Man, on the other hand, jumps up from the pavement to the roof of the food truck, then calls out, "NOW HEAR THIS! NOW HEAR THIS! Because of our gracious hostess, EVERYONE HERE CAN GET A FREE CHILI DOG COMBO! One to a customer, but one to EVERY customer! I'll be here to take orders and deliver your food!"

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver Queen arrives late because he didn't realize he was supposed to be here. Or that he had promised to be here at all. This is potentially because Felicity put it on his calendar without telling him, possibly at Emiko's urging. And Ollie doesn't tend to check his calendar. He'll tell you that's because time is a construct and he doesn't want to be beholden to the structure. In truth, it's mostly because he's a little forgetful.

While Emiko dressed up, Ollie seems fairly casual, pulling up on a motorcycle that he parks carefully. He wears a leather jacket, removing the helmet and hanging it on the grips loosely, as if daring someone to steal it. He pulls off his gloves as he approaches the gathering, seeking out his sister first, the handsome billionaire raising a hand to those who call his name.

"Well, I see you and your special friend have already made yourselves comfy. Maybe I should just back out now that the formalities are over? I do have a hot tub that's going to waste right now."

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella is making her way back over to the hotdog cart to, a.) get more hotdogs (not free ones!) and b.) offer her help, if it might be needed, now that there's sure to be a crush to get some delicious free grub! People just sort of make way for her as she wades through the people, smiling and waving, calling out greetings to various people.

"Spidey, if you need help handing out food, let me know! Happy to be of assistance," she calls. She smiles to Emiko, "This is very kind of you to do, Ms. Queen." That's all she manages as Oliver steps up and starts ribbing her. Hella's eyebrows raise and she steps back a bit, minding her own business, all the way~

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko hands over a credit card with a smile, "Thank you. I'm sure there's a lot of hungry people here that will appreciate a hot dog." She turns back at Impulse's offer and smiles, "Sure, I'll try anything at least once." Including a hot dog with everything (minus onions), apparently! Reaching for the dog and suddenly... a wild Ollie appears!

She lets out a small laugh and turns to hug Oliver, shaking her head, "Oh no you don't Oliver Queen. You sit here and have a hot dog with Impulse and I and be sociable for once." REaching for the hotdog, she takes it from Impulse with a wink, then passes it directly to Ollie.

Turning a smile towards Hella, she gives a nod, "The least we can do, really. Have you met my brother? I promise he's not nearly as surly as he seems."

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver Queen gives Emiko a hug and holds up a hand in surrender, "Fine, fine, I will surrender myself to hot dogs. Sure, it's probably taking six hours off my life every time I eat one, but those are going to be the jello and Matlock years anyway."

Before he takes a bite, he can't help but notice Hella hovering nearby, his eyebrows going up, "And please, introduce me to your gorgeous friend who could break me over her knee, while I eat a hot dog with superhero Impulse with whom I have no affiliation or personal knowledge."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles a bit and says "I am glad to help Queen industries when they need help, specially when they are helping people out." He grins a bit and will move to get a water for himself and both Queens. "So looks like Miss Marvel's event is a success. " He watches people for a moment.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella smiles brightly, her dimples deep, at the young woman, nodding her head. "I have great respect for people who do what they can. Makes my big heart grow bigger," she says, thumping at her chest with a closed fist -- though, not so hard that she gives off cavewoman vibes.

She looks to Oliver as Emiko introduces him to her, offering him an equally dimpled smile as she gave to Emiko, and a very warm hand with a firm grip. "No, I haven't had pleasure. Nice to meet you, Oliver Queen. I am Hella Rokkurdisardottir," she says in that thick accent of hers, all Russian and stuff with a decidedly Scandinavian surname.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey smiled to Hella. "Ask Little Jake for a notepad. Quick note. A chili dog with everything is called a 'boxcar.'"
He spots a group of people, then waves and heads off to take their orders.

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Good. You need to get out in the sun more. You're turning vampire levels of pale," Emiko teases Oliver, kissing his cheek before stepping back to he can meet Hella, flashing a grin. "Hella's a firefighter, Ollie. She could probably benchpress you. Be careful!" Chuckling, she winks at him, then turns back to Impulse. "So. Impulse... not going to mingle and sign autographs, take pictures? I bet there's a ton of kids that would LOVE to meet one of the Flash family."

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver Queen take the offered hand and meets Hella's eyes directly, "A true pleasure to make your acquaintance, ma'am. That's quite a set of shoulders you have there. I like to think I'm on the cutting edge with my workout routine, but you make me feel like I've been dunking too many donuts," he says. "Which, to be fair, I probably have. It's not my fault chocolate icing is delicious. That's a trap."

He listens to Emiko's words and his eyebrows go up even more, "A firefighter, too. Damn, my layabout billionaire routine is getting less impressive by the second," he says. He turns his eyes towards Impulse as well, "Just sign them all Flash. Nobody will know the difference and legally it protects you from liability."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen chuckles a bit and says "Well, I have sorta used the name in the past." He did go by Kid flash for a bit. He hmms and says "I should probably." He nods and will go over to the school kids, and grins brightly as one of them says "Hey it is Dr. Impulse." He will zoom off and is back with a labcoat on.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella nods her understanding to Spider-Man, "You got it, Spidey!" She holds up a finger to excuse herself from conversation for a moment as she leans over to ask Little Jake for a notepad. "Boxcar," she repeats to herself, preparing to take orders from people coming up.

She laughs at Emiko's comment about her ability to benchpress Oliver. She doesn't deny it. She just grins broadly at him. She plants the hand she'd just shaken with on her hip as he comments on her physique, looking pretty heroic in her firefighter garb and pose! "I eat everything I want and more, Oliver. Is mostly down to genetics for me, but also have very active life. That said, I will happily work out with you, sometime, if you like. I enjoy being challenged! Do /you/?" she asks with a raised brow and a teasing half-grin.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Grinning as her brother chats it up with Hella, and Impulse is off to impress the kids and sign autographs, Emiko takes a seat and enjoys that last hotdog he left. Smiling at what's been accomplished. She glances over towards Spidermand and lifts a hand, "Hey! That means you get a free dog too, you know! Come park it for a minute, take a breather, refuel, rehydrate!" She points to the picnic table she's at and all the empty seats.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver Queen cocks his head at Hella, "You kow, my immediate answer to that is yes, I do enjoy being challenged. But it also feels like one of those times when the arrogant rich boy boldly declares that he likes it when someone speaks truth to him, only to be immediately humiliated. Now, don't get me wrong, I deserve to be humiliated plenty. But I don't have to agree to it outright," he says.

"Uh, all of that said, sure, I'd love to work out with you sometime. Or at the very least watch you work out while I eat a donut."

He glances over at Spider-Man and grins, "Yes, come get a hot dog, guy with mask that entirely covers your mouth."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey looked back to Emiko, then pointed to the group of people. "Lemme help these people first? Just a few minutes..."
He looked back to the people, taking down orders quickly. "Right...got it...sure. Have a seat at the table, I'll take care of the order."
Spidey looked apologetically to Oliver and Emiko. "Sorry...they still need help."

Story of his life.

He gave the order to Little Jake, then nodded to the group before walking over to Oliver and Emiko.
"This isn't that bad. Now, webslinging for hours all over the five boroughs? THAT is a workout." He looked around, then realized he hadn't even given his own order. He pulled a plastic re-usable bottle out of his backpack and uncaps it. "This'll be fine."

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella's only reaction, at first, is to grin at Oliver in a pointed fashion. She can't help but laugh, though, as he makes another joke. "You better bring enough donuts for both of us. So, that means at least two dozen," she says, giving him a playful chuck on the shoulder. "Don't worry. I won't make fun of you. You look like you take care of yourself, despite jokes!" she says encouragingly.

Hella takes more orders and reads them off to Little Jake, helping them deliver the orders to the people coming up for the free food, paid for by the Queen family credit card! "Hope we have enough supplies to hold out, huh, Big Jake?" she smiles at the older man. She gently nudges Spider-Man with a smile, "What you want for yours? You hungry?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will pose with the kids, and answers some questions "Yea Beast Boy is a great guy, we were having fun with the videos. Glad you liked them, and I will let him know that they were a success." He will continue on for a while, but looks at them and says "Well, I need to go help, seems I am needed in Kansas, to help with something." He waves and is off in a flash. Shortly there later a young man with redish brown hair is walking up towards the get together looking about and whistles softly at the amount of stuff they gathered. He has a bag of canned food, he drops off and Bart Allen looks about heading over towards the hotdog line.

Kamala Khan has posed:
"I just wanna to give a big thank-you-very-much to everyone who came out to support the cause!" The Fire Chief announces. It stirs a round of cheering from the firefighters handling the incoming donations. "And lets hear it for Queen Industries and the Avengers Foundation for their generous donations! Lotta zeroes in those checks!" This intensifies the cheering and clapping just a bit. Somehow those checks managed to, thankfully, get from Ms. Marvel's teenage hands and over to the real heroes of the afternoon.

"And, lets hear it for all of youse heroes for comin' and lettin' people know we were here!"

The applause keeps going, though now the attention is on the larger-than-life personalities that showed up for this one. The more famous ones seem to inspire the most attention -- Spider-Man, Reed Richards, Carol Danvers, in particular -- but the others aren't left out of it.

Ms. Marvel gives a closed-mouth smile. Closed and full of chili-dog.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko performs some sister magic to manage to place a light but precise kick to Oliver's shin without ever moving from her seat. She smiles sweetly at him to let him know just who it was.

Then there's Spiderman. She chuckles when he's taking one more order, then one more and one more. And then, when he's finally sitting down, he's forgotten his own order. She chuckles and shakes her head, "Your reputation precedes you. But it's nice to meet someone genuinely nice." She glances back towards where Impulse was and smiles, "He's another one. Genuinely nice person." Looking back to Spiderman, she flashes a grin, "And having just moved into Union Square, I can certainly agree that travel through the boroughs can be exhausting."

Then Hella's taking his order and she grins, "Thank you. Even superheroes need to eat."

Oh look! A Bart! "Hey! GLad you could make it!"

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver Queen glances back at Emiko's kick, "What? I didn't do anything! I'm the picture of good behavior!" he says in protest.

He gives a knowing look to Hella, "You won't make fun of me? Not even a little bit? I dunno, sounds suspicious to me. Without a little gentle mockery, how am I to know you find me irresistably attractive? I'll begin to feel plain as a donut without icing. And that's just sad."

Then Bart arrives and Oliver just gives him a long, quiet look. "Yes. Welcome, Bart. Funny you should show up here. I myself am shocked." he says in a deadpan voice.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man takes a deep breath. "Well...I guess I could get the basic combo. Chili dog with cheese and bacon, make it a combo. Cherry Coke for the drink, please. Just salt on the waffle fries. Thank you, Hella."

He does lift his mask, but only up to his nose. Caucasian, okay chin, teeth looks like he goes to the dentist. No mandibles or pincers, so so much for Internet Theory About Spider-Man #14.

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Niko has finishes his quiet conversation with Monet, who's moved off to be Monet somewhere where others don't measure up to her superior standards. He's not precisely nosey, buuuut....he is a bit bored and he's sort of looking for reasons to not report back to the ambassadorial party just now. It's not often he gets to just enjoy the city, even in the shadow of the recent attack. He polishes off the last of his chili dog, taking a sip from hsi drink as he people watches a bit.

And of course the free combos happen after he paid for them. Ah well! He's fatalistic about FOMO. Like many other things.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
When the Fire Chief speaks up, Hella whoops just as proudly as any other fireman in the area, clapping with massively effective results. It's so loud! Then, as the Chief directs people to applaud the Queens and the Avengers, Hella looks directly at Emiko and Oliver as she claps and cheers for their much needed donations.

Hella grins at Emiko and nods her head, "Spider-Man works so hard, just like all the superheroes who save people's lives every day. I am so proud to be associated with them!" She gives a wink to Spidey as he gives his order, "Comin' right up!" She writes the order down and hands it off to Little Jake. "Won't be long," she assures him.

Her attention goes to Oliver as he quips at her, her smile ever-present. "Well, all you have to do is ask, silly. You are very attractive, indeed! I am sure all ladies swoon over you and fall down from weak knees, but you are so fast and so suave you catch them before they hit ground. Am I close?" she grins broadly.

She steps back briefly to grab Spidey's order from Little Jake, chili dog with cheese and bacon, salt-only waffle fries, and Cherry Coke! "Here you go, Spider-Man, on the Queens' dime," she laughs, giving Oliver another solid pat on the shoulder and a big smile to Emiko!

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will walk over and slide into a seat next to Emiko, and says "Hey I didn't have classes today and you said you were going to be here, so of course, I found time to come see you." He grins and says "Even found some time to get some canned goods." The people over at the donation stand looks confused as they go through his bag, luckily he dropped it off in a stack of bags, so no one knows, he brought some cavier, some escargot in a can and other high end canned goods. Alfred might need to restock some of the outsider's older stuff.

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards slips away from the crowd as a buzzer on his uniform sounds. The scientist nods and heads back to the fantasticar speaking with people politely as he clears the landing area and then with an elongated step he is into the vehicle and away with sort of unstatifying bubbly sound no vehicle should make.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey smiled, a strangely-apologetic you-didn't-have-to-go-to-all-that-trouble smile, but he took a long sip of the cherry Coke before taking a bite of his chili dog. "...Dang. One chili dog with homemade chili and canned chili will never be good again."

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver Queen grins at Hella, "Why would I do that? It's so much funnier when they fall. Thirty years of America's Funniest Videos can't be wrong," he says. "All joking aside, I do try to keep in pretty good shape. Let me ask you something: have you ever heard of a salmon ladder?"

Kamala Khan has posed:
It would be understandable if anyone keeping score with these hot dogs thought Ms. Marvel was a speedster or something. Not a speedster, no, but her powers are also very demanding on the appetite. Now that the crowd has seemingly moved on to other, more interesting things, Ms. Marvel has been busy with the food.

"Huh," Ms. Marvel begins, staring up at Peter as she walks on by. "I /knew/ you had a normal mouth!" she says loudly. "I mean, fifty-fifty shot. Normal mouth. Spider mouth. Normal mouth. Spider mouth." She shrugs one shoulder and shoves the rest of her chilidog into her mouth and chewschewschews. Wait. Wait. Normal mouth. There's a boy under that mask. And there's chili dripping from the side of Ms. Marvel's mouth.

    !!!

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko tsks at Oliver, rolling her eyes at his antics and shaking her head. "I told him where I would be and that he should swing by if he got a chance, Ollie. Now be nice or I'm hiding the whiskey." Empty threat for the billionaire that could have a whiskey pool if he wanted. There's that soring smile after, though, he's still her brother.

She looks to Hella, "Its true, they all work very hard to keep our cities safe, and look at all of them that came out to lend a hand now. It's just wonderful." Her smile brightens before she's turning her attention back to Spiderman. "Ah! There, good. Everyone should get to take advantage of a free hotdog now and then." She glances back over at Ollie and Hella's back and forth, chuckling, then looks back to her own table companion. "I'm sure you get this all the time, but is the webbing natural or created? I promise, I won't fangirl or embarass you, but I am curious. If it's created then it's something of a scientific marvel."

When Bart joins her, she smiles and leans in to kiss his cheek. "Thank you. That's really sweet. This is, obviously, Spiderman. He's taking a quick breather from being another genuinely nice person. You two would get along." She turns a smile up to Kamala and motions to the table, "Won't you join us?"

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella smiles at Spider-Man and makes encouraging gestures to eat, eat, eaaaaaat~ Turning her gaze back on Oliver, she smiles wryly and shakes her head, "I thought is because you are charmer, but apparently not!" She laughs and nods her head, "I do salmon ladder for fun warmup!"

Because he's recently joined the little group near the hotdog stand, Hella waves welcomingly at Bart and will introduce herself to him for the (unbeknownst to her) second time, today! "Hello, there, Emiko's friend! I am Hella Rokkurdisardottir, but most just call me Hella." She nods her head, in complete agreement with Emiko. "I think is beautiful way of healing after such terrible events. I am happy and proud to be here, helping." And, here's another new person to greet! Kamala, Ms. Marvel! "Hyello!" she says warmly to the young woman. "Nice to meet you! I am Hella Rokkurdisardottir, a New York firefighter and aspiring superhero! Thank you for all you have done," she says in a kind, feminine voice that carries, despite the crowd.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey doesn't seem to notice the chili at the edge of Kamala's mouth. He does put his chili dog down and stand up, on the chance Kamala does accept Emiko's offer. "You put on a pretty big show, and it helped a lot of people, Miss...Marvel, right? The name fits like the proverbial glove."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods and says "Bart, Bart Allen " His voices sounds a bit different than Impulse's as he modifies his voice at least some while in costume. "Seems you have met some interesting people." He offers a hand shake to each person as he is introduced to.

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Niko has returned with a second combo! No sense not taking advantage of free stuff, and they ARE good. Besides, Monet got his second order. He starts leisurely munching on the second chili dog, idly listening to the conversation nearby. It's not like he knows anyone to step in, but he's mildly curious what American heroes talk about when relaxing.

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Boyfriend, Hella. He's my boyfriend." Emiko flashes a quick grin towards Hella. Then Bart is introducing hismself and she gives a nod. Then asks, "Can you do the double-reverse salmon ladder?" Hey, THAT is an impressive feat ANYONE should want to watch!

She smiles at Bart and gives a nod, "That's MY superpower. Getting along with people." Yep. She totally just gave it all away. She's really Friend Girl.

Niko gets a wave and smile when he's caught looking in their direction, a motion made for him to join them if he'd like.

Kamala Khan has posed:
"Thanks!" Ms. Marvel grins a bit at Emiko as she gives her a way out of the personal nightmare of double-fisting two chili dogs in front of Spider-Man, who turns out to be more of a Spider-/Man/ and less of a /Spider/-Man. "And thanks for coming out, everyone." Hella gets a little salute from Ms. Marvel's hand-to-forehead. "Wow! So, you're like a hero by day.../and/ by night!" A firefighter /and/ a superhero. Munchmunchmunchchewchewchew.

Deerinheadlights. Swallow the food. "Oh, yeah, I mean, Carol wasn't using it anymore and, yeah, she said it was okay!" Her voice speeds up, as though Spider-Man was checking her Works Cited page or something. But then, as though guided by some not-awkward force... Kamala takes the seat, eyes shifting upwards to watch Spidey.

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Niko, meanwhile, has finished off his chili dog in record time, tossing the trash away and sipping from his drink. His eyes are drawn curiously to Hella, as he catches an echo of his motherland in her voice, enough that he drifts closer. He wasn't aware of any Russian heroines here....perhaps she is an immigrant?

He says, as he gets close, politely, and in Russian "<Pardon. I heard someone speaking with my mother tongue's echoes....are you Russian, per chance?>"

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver Queen narrows his eyes at Emiko, "Double reverse salmon ladder? What?!? That's not real. That's not a real thing. I would know if that was a real thing," he says.

"Yes, this is my sister's boyfriend. You would never guess it. It's not like they tell literally everyone they meet," he says with a teasing tone.

"Look, I'm just a regular, humble billionaire. I'm not a big deal like all you superheroes. I'll try not to get int eh way of anything," he says, even as he casually slips his business card out of his pocket and passes it over to Hella, "Just in case." he says.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella's eyes widen and her grin is sparkling as she inhales and puts a hand to her chest, "Ohhhhhhh, boooooooyfriend," she corrects with a delighted expression. "Hyellooo, Bart, Emiko's booooooyfriend," she says with an adorkable waggling of her eyebrows at Emiko. Then, to her next question, she nods her head, "Hell, yes! With my eyes closed! I invented move!" She grins confidently, almost positive there's no such thing, but also feeling pretty certain she could do it, if it does exist! Probably. She'd give it her best, at any rate! She looks to Oliver to see what kind of reaction he has to this claim, the 'regular, humble billionaire'. "Don't tease them for being happy, Oliver," she chides, though her tone is kind.

Looking to Kamala, Hella smiles shyly and even blushes a little. "I do my best, yes. I want to save lives every possible moment I can," she nods her head, rubbing the back of her neck. Following that, though, she remarks on Ms. Marvel's modesty, "If you have approval, you wear the name with pride, so she knows you honor name with your actions! I would be proud! I am proud to be friends with all the wonderful heroes and people I've met!"

That's when the lovely sound of Russian filters through to Hella's ears and she turns to look at Niko, her expression one of delight, just utter joy. <<Yes! I am from Russia, but from a very rural area. How nice to speak Russian, again! I usually have to wait until I go to Brighton Beach on the weekends to help our fellow immigrants,>> she replies in rapid, beautiful Russian. <<It is nice to meet you! I am Hella Rokkurdisardottir, of Norse extraction, Russian-raised,>> she says proudly, offering a hand to shake. Very warm hand, firm grip.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey sits down after Kamala does, smiling pleasantly. "Well, I have skin in the game. I saved Big Jake's livelihood a few years ago, and he pays me back with free chili dogs. When I found out about the event, I figured it would be wrong not to turn around and help Big Jake. We're good friend." He smiled to Hella. "We're friends, too, but I've known Jake longer."

He looked back to Kamala. "I don't have anything resembling an ego, anyway, so taking orders for Big Jake isn't a big deal. Like I told Nikolas. No small jobs, only small people."

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Niko grins a bit at Hella as she responds in kind, then switches to English out of politeness as he takes her hand, his own grip firm and a bit cool from standing out without gloves in the winter weather. "Norse? Hmm. Ah, pardon, I did not mean to exclude your friends." he apologizes to the rest of the group for speaking in a language probably they don't follow as well. "Northern Russia, yes? I am from Siberia myself. That is why this seems like a pleasant summer day to me." he jokes idly. "Not so far from where you are too." He nods to Spidey. "I am Nikolas Kamarov, I am with the Russian embassy here."

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Totally a thing, Ollie!" Emiko calls back to her brother, pulling up videos from American Ninja Warrior and holding it up to him so he can see. Athletes that have to go between two salmon ladders, one on either side, so they have to get to the first set, then turn, flip up to the next, then back and forth all the way up to the top before they can continue. "The really good ones? They can even go back DOWN the ladders, too."

Then there's Hella, and she's laughing and smiling, "Hey, I went to the trouble of asking him out and then getting him to BE my boyfriend, why shouldn't I be proud of that? I'd have it air messaged in the sky if Oliver would ever let the charge go through. He keeps cancelling it." She winks at her brother. He doesn't, and she hasn't. Because there's sweet and then there's overboard.

She's also pointing to Hella's response for Kamala about the Marvel name. "She's right. Clearly Ms. Danvers thought you are a worthy successor to the name. Be proud, the family that is invited in through loyalty and dedication is often stronger than the one existing simply from blood or genetics." She sips from her water and watches Spider-Man for a moment. Seriously. How do people not just... hug him and pinch his cheeks like... all the time?!

Kamala Khan has posed:
Ms. Marvel can barely contain her excitement as Hella and Emiko both affirm Carol's approval. "I /know/! I can't believe it!" she almost shouts. "I thought. For. Sure. She was going to tell me to change it! But, she's talking about a team-up crossover event!" Both hands go above her head and squeeze into celebatory fists, sending bits of bun, hotdog, and chili raining down into her hair as she crushes it between her fingers.

Spider-Man gets the staring treatment from the brown eyes behind Ms. Marvel's domino mask. "So, you're, like, taking orders and working on his food truck sometimes?" ... "...This isn't even your Neighborhood..."

Plop. The bits of chili and bread and hotdog rain down into Ms. Marvel's thick brown hair.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey immediately stands sgain and produces a brush from his backpack, as well as a small towel.
The benefits of making every mistake in the book is that you learn from them.
"Here...brush it out, then use the towel to get the sauce. Don't ruffle it, just wipe in the same direction you brush."

Spidey smiles apologetically. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt AND the commemorative plate. And I visit a LOT of Neighborhoods, Ms. Marvel."

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella grins at Spider-Man as he affirms their friendship, even if Big Jake's been known longer. It's that she's friends with Spidey, at all, that matters!

To Nikolas, she laughs warmly, "No worries. We barely said anything! If anyone wants to know what we said, I will translate!" She looks around to see if anyone is curious. "Yes, far, far North," she says, nodding her head. Then, she's laughing and holding her buff, sculpted arms out for Nikolas to witness her current state of dress. A fireman's helmet overtop of long, twin braids in Nordic white-blonde, a white tank top, her turnout gear pants with suspenders, and her work boots!

"Look at me, and still warmer than most," she says with a wink to her fellow Russian -- it's true that her hand was markedly warm when she shook his hand only moments ago. Hella has an unfair advantage, in that specific case, though. "A pleasure, truly, to meet you, Nikolas Kamarov," she smiles pleasantly, her dimples showing.

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
Niko himself is dressed more for success, sort of...a relatively decent if not perfectly fitting dark suit and a dark wool overcoat, with a cashmere white scarf hanging from his neck more for decoration than anything else. "Ah, lucky." He motions to his outfit. "Sadly I must dress the part, or I would wear something similar. And a pleasure to meet you, Miss Rokkurdisardottir." he says, careful not to stumble over the syllables. "You're far from the Motherland, did you come to assist with the fighting and cleanup?" he wonders.

Kamala Khan has posed:
Ms. Marvel closes her eyes and takes the brush and towel from Spider-Man. "Thank you," she mutters quietly. After just a moment of hesitation, of wishing that she was more like Ms. Marvel and less like Kamala Khan right now, she begins to work the brush through her thick hair. "Jeez," she begins.

"My friends are never going to believe I met Spider-Man /and/ he has a normal mouth /and/ he carries a hair brush with him." Ms. Marvel's eyes dart over to Hella and then Niko and then Hella, who is warmer than most. "Must be all those fires you fight!" she suddenly announces before glancing back towards Spider-Man to see if he heard the 'joke' she made in between passes with the hairbrush meant to remove chili from her hair. Super cool.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko smile towards Kamala, "See? That's wonderful! You must be doing really well if she's offering to go crime-fighting with you." There's a moment whe her fingers twitch. She sees the chili and dog bits falling. She wants to do something. But then, even as she's reaching for a handkerchief, Spider-man has it covered.

Sitting back with a charmed sort of smile, she watches the two young superheroes, then glances aside to Bart as he quietly plows through more chili dogs.

And Hella is sharing conversation with Niko, keeping the bright smile on her face as she takes the time to just appreciate the nice moment, and that she gets to be part of it. This is the sort of moment that makes all the other one's worth it.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man smiles to Kamala. "Well, if you want to record a video of me making a personal message, I don't mind. And don't feel too bad, Ms. Marvel. At least there is no Miss-Marvel-Fail.com, is there?"

He seems rather relaxed about the concept of a website saving all of his goof-ups for posterity.

Hella Rokkurdisardottir has posed:
Hella laughs at Niko's joke, finding it truly witty! She can just imagine him wearing her current ouftit, too. She grins crookedly as she replies, waving her hand as she clarifies, "No, not initially. I was here when attacks began, and I help because I'm firefighter and that is what I long to do; save lives, help people. That is why I came to America, too."

She pauses briefly to help some people with their orders, assisting them with their free lunch on the Queens, smiling and joking with them as they wander off. Then, her attention is back on the group, and she regards everyone with a sense of warm-fuzzies, just happy to be a part of the event, of this state, of this country, of everything! "Russia is beautiful and I love it, but I felt called here. I want to be part of something bigger and help more people. Superheroes here...they are more organized and are called on more often. So, here I came! Studied hard to become firefighter, did that, and now, some university classes when I can... Life is going very well," she nods, her happy face clearly pleased.

Nikolas Kamarov has posed:
"A firefighter...a good career. Serving the public." Niko says thoughfully, before taking a sip from his straw. "Mmm." There's a sort of oddness to his eyes for a moment, a quiet frustration or sadness, before he offers. "It's better here for you. Russia has enough heroes of the state. This place....you have freedom to grow as you will. To do as you will. Do not let anyone take that from you."

Kamala Khan has posed:
"Not yet!" Ms. Marvel points out. "But, you know, there's no such thing as bad publicity." Blinkblink. Now you sound like an extra from Mad Men, Ms. Marvel thinks. I need an 'out.' Where's Vivian?! With just a moment to think about it, Ms. Marvel lowers her head and starts to make some pretend electronic noises with her mouth. Her hand brushes against the bangle bracelets on her opposite arm and produces a cell phone from a hidden compartment. She pretends to look at it.

"Oh, gee, looks like I need to be going. Crimes. Bad guys. Uh, mayhem!" She returns the phone to the hidden compartment and shrugs one shoulder. "Gotta go!" Ms. Marvel announces, shoving the hairbrush and towel in Spider-Man's direction. Kill me now, Ms. Marvel thinks, before giving Hella, a firefighter -- the real hero -- a meek smile.
