Date of Scene: 27 February 2022
Location: Alley Pond Park
Synopsis: Veira and Jan have a play date for the puppies!
Cast of Characters: Veira Lazarescu, Jan de Wit

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira had texted Jan to ask him if he had plans for the next few hours. If not, how did a puppy playdate sound?

It probably sounded good given Veira was strolling in the park with Aster on his leash. The chubby fluffy puppy was wiggling so much with excitement as they walked. In her other hand there was a take away bag from a coffee shop given it was still a bit chilly and she didn't want Jan getting a cold out here.

She finds a comfortable spot with a bench and plenty of sunshine to settle into while she awaits Jan and Orchid. The raven haired woman was dressed in jeans, black riding boots and a white dress shirt under her black coat.

Just chill Sunday garb.

Jan de Wit has posed:
Jan was not too far behind, dressed warmly. Two leashes for him, resting easily in his left hand. Orchid and Brassia, yes she got a name, are trotting along happily - both in cute sweaters for warmth. In his other hand, he's got a thermos. Both the dogs are snuffling and playing a bit as they lope along.

Nearing the arranged meeting spot, the man did notice Veira. "Hey there..." He called over, even as the dogs tugged at the leash to see their family. He moves with them, not too off-balance, letting the dogs greet each other. "How are you doing today?" He asks as he gets closer. When near enough, he leans in to sneak in a kiss to her cheek.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Aster perks up when he catches the scent of other dogs, then he realizes that it is his mother and sister. The puppy gives a whine before he toddles off towards Jan and the others in a bit of a hurry.

"Aster don't run off too..." she gives a look up when she sees that it is who they were waiting for. "Hiya." she wiggles her fingers in greeting to Jan and the dogs. The kiss is accepted and she takes a moment to return it. "I am doing alright. I have to fly to Washington late tonight, so wanted to get some time in with you and the pups before I have to go." she admits.

"I brought coffee and some pastry. I hope that offering while be accepted." she offers with a soft smile to him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
His smile is full and warm as she returns the kisses, Jan nodding a bit. "I brought cocoa, too." He raises his thermos to show. "Look how happy they are with family." He mentions, looking to the trio of dogs. "I took Orchid to get looked at for a prosthetic - she's been all measured and fitted. Just need for them to construct the replacement."

There's a blink and a pause. "Washington? Top secret work?" He guesses, smiling a bit. "Did you need a pup sitter? Or is Atilla going to manage?"

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
"Always prepared." Veira tells him with a bright smile. "And yes, family tends to do that." she grins to him. She listens to Jan as she watches the three dogs play with each other. "Orchid seems very happy with you." she tells him in a warm tone. "I'm glad they could get her fitted. She'll be up and running like a puppy herself once that gets done." she smiles to that. "Do I need to go in on the bill with you for that?" she asks. "I don't mind helping out." she adds.

She sobers a touch as she sees him blink and she nods, "Yes, sadly." she murmurs to him. "I shouldn't have to leave the country for anything, but Homeland called in a few people and I was on the list." she tells him. "If you would like to watch Aster I would be happy to leave him with you since his sister and mother are with you." she states.

"Atilla will be with me, unless he decides to stay home." she muses. "How have the last few days been?" she asks him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
Jan de Wit says, "Indeed! We can share, coffee and cocoa - whichever your preference." Jan beams. "And pastry for us both." A nod, the man moving towards the bench. The dogs will sort themselves out - they know each other, and know who is caring for them. "If you like, you are welcome to. If not, I can certainly cover it." A wink to her. "I cannot wait to see how excited she gets once she sorts out the prosthetic. It'll be a new life for her again."

"If you need anything, you let me know, yes? I can help where I can, regardless of my affiliations." He smirks. "Aster is welcome to come hang out with us - it'll be a vacation for him."

"Well, fighting the cold off - but the days have been good. I've been doing more practice in my studio. Orchid seems to like the music, and to watch. Brassia tries to be a good dance partner. She's got a lot of energy.""

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira moves to sit next to him, letting him settle in. The dogs wouldn't go far and if they did she could probably just bring them back fairly quickly. She gives a look to Jan and there is a soft smile, "I wish Cocoa and Coffee mixed better, but it doesn't." she muses. "I'd like to help out with them...think of it as taking care of the adopted children." she winks at him. "They'll be all over the place. Unstoppable." she comments on Orchid and the pups once she gets her prosthetic.

"And yes, if anything comes up I will call." she tells him. "Aster will be happy to share time with them." she smiles.

"Maybe I'll come and watch you practice sometime." she grins at that. "Brassia is a good name for the little one." she tells him. "Does she step on your toes as well?" she asks him teasingly.

Jan de Wit has posed:
Momma Orchid is doing well in herding her pups, while letting them play in the park. She knows the drill! "True, well - which ever you like. Worst case scenario, I take the cocoa home and have some for this evening." He pauses. "Can you come by for dinner? Or do you need to pack still?" Jan wonders.

He grins over to the pups as they play. "I look forward to spoiling him." He winks to Veira after. "I'll tone it back to not make a monster of him for you to corral later." The man laughs. At the mention of the audience for his dancing, he smiles. "Any time you like. Brassia is very nimble - all four paws tend to avoid my feet. Though it does make me cautious in my dance steps - I would feel terrible if I stepped on her paw."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
"I'll take cocoa, because I'll get plenty of coffee later." Veira muses to that. She probably would. "I didn't spend an arm and a leg on the coffee so I don't feel bad with it sitting till later." she muses. She gives a thoughtful look to him at his question, "I can stop by for dinner. I'm already packed. We learn to pack light in situations like this." she admits to him.

She then follows his gaze, her smile growing as she watches the puppies chase each other, "Mmm, don't worry about him being a monster. I can deal with that." she tells him with a chuckle.

"There is nothing worse than the realization that you've stepped on an animals paw and they look betrayed." she nods in agreement with that. "She'd be getting steak for the rest of her life for dinner." she muses. "Do you have any shows coming up?" she asks him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
Jan pulls out two travel mugs from his coat - conveniently having large pockets. "Perfect." The top of the thermos is twisted off, and a mug filled for Veira. It's handed over with a smile. "Hope it tastes good for you." A grin. "And I would love to host you for dinner - though I'll likely order some catering, if you don't mind? Any requests?"

"Good to know, I shall spoil him then." A smirk.

"I have shows starting up in April. Practice and rehearsals are in work, already." He winks. "Did you need tickets?"

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira gives a soft smile when he hands her a mug of cocoa, "I think if you made it then it should be delicious." she tells him. "As for dinner, feel free to surprise me." she gives him a grin. "Catering is fine, I know that it's short notice and all." she admits to that. "I don't doubt that he'll be spoiled before I get back." she teases him with an adoring look.

"I'd love to get a ticket. I promise I won't hoot or holler from the crowd." she gives a bright smile to that. "I do have basic etiquette down." she adds to that. She wasn't a total loss!

Jan de Wit has posed:
"Flattery is my weakness, Veira." He teases, pouring a mug of cocoa for himself next. "I'll make arrangements in a few moments, then." He grins. "Do you know how long you might be away?" The man wonders. "I need to get Orchid and Brassia groomed, make sure they are all taken care of. I can arrange the same for Aster, if you like?"

"I'll arrange for a good seat." He grins. "We can even go shopping for a dress, if you'd like? Make it quite the affair?" The man suggests.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira gives a laugh to his comment on flattery, "There is no rush. Or...do not rush on my account, Jan." she tells him with a soft smile. "Hopefully not more than twenty four or forty eight hours. If the time line goes up I'll call." she promises. When he offers to get Aster groomed there's a bit of an adoring look given to him, "You're going to spoil us." she murmurs to him. "I will not complain if you join them.

She takes a sip of her hot cocoa and then gives a bit of a blink, "You just offered to go dress shopping?" she has to confirm. "I'd be happy to go dress shopping...somewhere besides goth stores." she muses. "I don't want anyone to look funny." she admits.

Jan de Wit has posed:
A chuckle from Jan, the man happily amused. "I want to share a meal with you before you go, and I want you to travel on a sated stomach." He nods at the timeframe expected. "Excellent. I will make sure to have the family groomed and looking handsome for your return." A wink. "Then I can properly spoil you - even have a bath drawn for you, should you visit after the plane trip."

"I do enjoy shopping, I will admit. And I would gladly go dress shopping with you... though I might wait to see the purchased garments on you. Surprise is wonderful - when the dress takes my breath away." He beams. "And you would never look funny, save arriving in SWAT gear." He teases.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira gives a warm look to the man, "If you're going for most wonderful man of the year you're hitting it out of the park." she teases him gently. She did love that he was fine with shopping, cooking and doing things that most guys thought was below them. "I have a suggestion. Should I run home and grab my bag and then join you at your place so that I can just leave from there?" she asks him.

"And we will go dress shopping...though I am not sure where to even start." she admits with a soft chuckle. "I am looking forward to it though. And I'm sure that we can keep it a surprise." she tells him.

"Oh I'd try not to show up in work clothes." she teases him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
"I am trying to ensure you are given the treatment you deserve, Veira." The dancer chuckles. "That sounds like a perfect idea. If you have any necessities for Aster, feel free to bring them by too." He suggests. "I've got food and such, so no worries there. And I can arrange a ride for you, so you don't have to worry over parking at the airport?"

At the thought of dress shopping, he hrms. "We can go over a list of designers. Perhaps we can arrange a meeting with one of them to have something made for you. Something unique to your fashion, and to you." A grin. "Then you can reveal it at the opening show?"

"And by all means, if the need arises, show up in the gear. Trouble happens at the weirdest places."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira quiets for a moment, her gaze on him as he speaks, "I can bring Aster's things for the day, yes." she tells him. She's genuinely touched by the words that he speaks. "That would be lovely. I can just leave my car at your place and that will save time." she nods to that.

His comment on looking at designers makes her blink, "Oh...ummm...I've never had anything made specifically for me, but if you'd like to try it I am open to seeing if it works." she states. "Maybe they can make a matching eyepatch?" she asks him with a grin.

"I really hope I don't need to show up to a place you are in my gear. That'll be an odd day indeed." she chuckles.

Jan de Wit has posed:
Enjoying the cocoa and the company, Jan is comfortable as can be sitting next to her on the bench. "That sounds perfect. You might bring a shirt you might have, unwashed, so he can cuddle up to it if he gets too lonely. I'll even get your car washed if you like." Such a helpful man!

A smile as she considers the designer and unique dress. "They will make sure you have all the proper accessories - and yes. Eyepatch as well." He assures. "I know some fantastic designers." All those connections - being a person of note opens some doors.

"I hope that as well - but the world is a strange place. I cannot assume the chance for such things are nil."
