Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Daniel Chain, Koriand'r

Daniel Chain has posed:
The search has not gone well.

Daniel sighs in frustration, hunkered down on the rooftop of an apartment building, having gone up there thinking that perhaps a higher elevation might help. But no -- the device he was given seems no closer on homing in on his quarry than before, pointing off in different directions before returning. The device itself doesn't look that impressive, not much more than a Roomba with a pair of rabbit ear-style antenna affixed to it... because well, that's what it is. But the person who gave it to him was so sure it would work!

"It's not your fault," Daniel assures the powered-down device, reaching a hand to give it a little pat. "Maybe I need to weave a different 'seeking...' " That's for later though. For how, he huffs a sigh as he straightens up, wandering over to the roof's edge. He's in no mood for crafting right now, but fortunately, it's fairly easy for him to settle his mood when it's in disarray.

And so, a moment later finds the young man with the white streak in his hair sitting at the roof's edge, letting his legs dangle over the side as he strums at the acoustic guitar, letting the strains of music drift across the air. And as his eyes slip closed and he begins losing himself in the flow, magic responds to his heart's call, the soft chime of the chords taking on a soothing lull.

Koriand'r has posed:
A streak of green light across the sky was usually reassuring for most of the people in the city, a sign that Starfire was out on partol.

Or at least, most of the time. Right now? She was going about a break. Zipping through the sky the path of the orange-skinned woman has her touching down on the rooftop, a small paper bag of her meal held in her hands.

It actually takes her a second or two as she pulls a packet of fries out of her bag...before she spots the figure of another with her, the sounds of music taking her away from the transfixing promise of a late meal.

Daniel Chain has posed:
It takes several moments for Daniel to realize that he's no longer alone on the roof. When he finally does, he presses his hand to the strings to still them, looking back over his shoulder -- " ?! " -- and then doubletakes. For better or for worse, Starfire is probably used to getting stares. There's nothing hostile about Daniel's however, the young man turning his body a bit to he can get a better look, surprise and fascination clear on his face. "Hello!"

Koriand'r has posed:
Fries halfway to her mouth, Starfire makes does look at the man almost sheepishly. "Hello," she speaks, tilting her head to the side. "I did not expect to find another up here," she speaks, lowering the bag to her side. "I did not mean to interupt your relaxation."

Daniel Chain has posed:
"Oh, no! No, not at all!" Daniel quickly turns and stashes his guitar in the case at his side, closing and it up and locking the clasps before climging to his feet. And quick-stepping over to her, looking her up and down before taking in her face, that look of fascination still there. "You're -- a visitor here too, aren't you? Which of the planes are you from? Not one of the lower ones, I think. Ah -- one of the seraphim, perhaps?" he guesses. "I've never actually met one, but I've been hearing this city has been having trouble with them. Oh! Perhaps one of the Lilim? Or maybe -- " This could probably go on for a bit, unless she says something.

Koriand'r has posed:
Seraphim? A couple of months ago that word wasn't really going to mean anything to Koriand'r. After everything that happened in New York? Well, some of the encounters with the 'Angels' had left it a little more fresh in her mind. Her green eyes looking over the man with a small expression of confusion before she folds her arms under her bust and shakes her head. "I am...Koriand'r of Tamaran, known to many here as 'Starfire'." An alien, not an angel or similar mystical creature.

"You are not a human, are you?"

Daniel Chain has posed:
"Ah? No, I'm human," Daniel replies distractedly. "But not from here." Waving a hand aside to indicate the city in general -- or perhaps in an even broader sense. But his tone is distracted as he's *much* more interested in hearing about her! "Tamaran? I'm not familiar with that realm! And you say you are known here as 'Starfire?' Are you a maker? No no -- I'm sorry." Quickly correcting himself as he adds, "I'm still learning that having more than one doesn't mean the same here as it does elsewhere." It seems he hasn't heard of her, at least. "But it *is* a title, yes?"

Koriand'r has posed:
Her food forgotten in the face of curiousity, Kori steps closer with a curious tilt of her head. Maker was clearly a term she didn't recognize, but the orange-skinned alien makes to draw herself close enough to look closer. Doubt perhaps that he was human? Or maybe he was simply raised off-world like some of the humans she'd met before. "It is...a name, sort of like a title but more of an identity. Something given to someone who seeks to defend people from dangers or evil."

Oversimplified, but seemingly Daniel wasn't much more used to the normalcy of Earth life rather than she was.
