Armor Concepts and Fittings
Date of Scene: 19 March 2022
Location: Vinny's Tailoring
Synopsis: Vinny's got concepts to show Jan and a favorite is picked!
Cast of Characters: Veira Lazarescu, Jan de Wit

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira's call had been excited, apparently Vinny had some concepts for them to look at in regards to Jan's armor. Or...Dancer's armor. Jan was a respectable man and didn't have a need for that. Much like the last trip they'd made it down into the basement of the old tailoring shop and into Vinny's sewing studio. The older man is busy with laying out a stack of drawings for them to see.

Veira's dressed in jeans, t-shirt and boots given it's warmer outside. Jan had been given the option of hiding his face again given his public status and she didn't want him to be labelled wrongly. "I'm excited to see what you've got cooked up, Vinny." she gives a smile to the man.

Jan de Wit has posed:
This time, he had a more stylish covering than a skimask. More of a zorro bandana with eye holes! Very fetching. Jan's excitement did match Veira's - also quite eager to see what the tailor had in mind. He had a suit on, of course - nice and stylish as well.

"I am quite excited to see what you've created." He grins to the craftsman. "It's quite energetic, when something like this comes to fruition." He nods to Vinny, before looking back to Veira - assuming she's found herself greeted by the shop cat.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira was indeed looking for the shop cat and she finds him with a smile, "Mario, you're looking rather svelt now that Spring is so close." she grins as she crouches to gather the cat up. The big black cat purrs as the woman holds him like a baby. Black cats and witches. They went together really. She bounces him gently on the way back over to the two of the men standing at the table, "I'm sure whatever is on the paper is going to be fantastic." she tells Jan.

Vinny gives a smile, "Mario's a bit of a big baby...and Veira knows that." he shakes his head.

The drawings that he sets forward are finished concepts. One is a more banded armor that looks flexible. The other pieces are in midnight blue and the under suit is black. The second is a rather sleek looking one piece reinforced suit that is a very dark blue and black. It looks very futuristic sneaky assassin type. "I know they might look like they're a bit fantastical. But armor should be custom to the wearer and if you want to stand out...well..." he motions to them, "You'll definitely do that." he chuckles.

"I have samples of the fibers and colors if you'd like to go over them as well." he offers.

Jan de Wit has posed:
The cat and the woman both bring a smile to Jan's face, before he looks back to what Vinny had set out before him. A low whistle of approval to both, the man looking over each with a focused gaze. "Being a baby is fine for cats - they deserve the spoiling." He smirk, his fingers tracing over the lines of the first concept. A tap to the sheet and a nod.

"You are an exceptional artist, Vinny. Top marks for both of these." He offers over, in earnest. "And oddly enough, if they looked non-fantastical, I would imagine that people would not take notice when I needed them to." A grin.

"I think the first option is the one I prefer more... I think it would allow for more options with a helmet, no? And I would love to see the fabrics and colors."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira is quiet as Jan looks over things, mainly because there are his moments and she's just guiding. She wanted him to have the best experience. Mario gives a mew to the man though, ah yes, he knew animals needed loved.

She does give a look to the second concept and there's a grin, "I think the second one is umm...well...he gets enough attention fully dressed." she grins at that. "But if you could make me one similar." she teases.

Vinny gives a chuckle to that. "So like I was explaining before, we'll do the top of the line bullet proofing with this. Since I'm guessing you're going to be facing off mostly against street level threats. The under suit will be strong enough to deflect knives to a point." he points out. "We can install the loops for your weapons as well." he goes over the sketch. "Is there anything that we're missing?" he asks Jan.

Jan de Wit has posed:
"It's certainly my hope that the armor is never tested, but it is good to know of the limits for it. Generally I try to move out of the way of such things." He half-teases. "So far, mostly armed robberies and such, yes. Though with the increasing amount of odd threats." A slight shrug. "Should I run into divine creatures or otherwise, I suspect that I would need something blessed to protect me." He chuckles.

Jan shakes his head. "No, this looks perfect, truth be told." He smiles to Vinny. "Simply fantastic work."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Vinny gives a bit of a chuffed look to Jan and then to Veira, "You should bring this one around more often." he tells her. She then settles the cat down and gives a smile to Jan, "Maybe I will." she tells him.

Vinny gives a look between the two and a smile, "I'll have this done as soon as I can. No one else is in front of you so we're good to go on production. I just wanted the okay before proceeding." he offers.

Jan de Wit has posed:
Jan smiles to the other man. "You have quite the emphatic ok to go ahead." A smile. "And certainly more business, I assure you. For both standard suits and any potential upgrades here." He grins. Jan turns a bit to grin over to Veira. "Perhaps I'll even model it for you. You can see me in action!" He winks. "Though I would rather you not be in danger, of course."

A bow of his head in thanks to Vinny. "I am quite appreciative of your speed and work, sir. Honest as can be. I would be honored to wear your work in public - to a gala or to a battle."
