Cast of Characters: Sarah Rainmaker, Koriand'r

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker is sitting over on the rooftop. She's just looking down at a picture on her cell phone. Well, an old, ancient looking cell phone. A brick if not for the more modern digital screen on it. A blonde boy in a red military uniform with half his face melted off, and a woman with purple hair wearing a flowing dress that even in a picture somehow both were able to look psychotic while smiling at the camera. With a sigh, she would go to turn it off. Just gazing off an dinto the distance for a moment, floating as it would rain in the not-quite spring.

Koriand'r has posed:
Kori? She arrived from within the tower for once rather than flying in, strange perhaps were it not for her attire. Then again, some of her costumes hadn't been much more modest than the two-piece purple swimsuit the Tamaran Princess was wearing as she made her way to the pool, a towel held in one hand and what appeared to be a milkshake grasped in the other hand and completely unphased by what the weather might actually be doing.

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would turn her head over to Kori, "Ah, hello Koriand'r, how are you doing?" She would shift in her position, landing from the small bit she had been using with the winds to stabilize herself and then cross her arms over. "I'm not distracting you tonight am I?"

Koriand'r has posed:
"Sarah!" Kori calls out, smiling as she's addressed. Whatever misery might be threatening the other woman's mood seems to be missing from the orange-skinned alien as she deposited her towel and drained her milkshake, placing the container aside and slipping her legs into the pool.

"Not at all! You are welcome to join me, if you wish! I find a swim at night can be very relaxing and there is a lot of beauty to be seen from this rooftop!"

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would smile, "Of course. Ah.. I hope that you're doing well." As the orange skinneda lien would go from her outfit to the water, Sarah would tentatively go to join her. "I've just been distracted as of late, forgive me if I hadn't noticed you."

Koriand'r has posed:
Sinking in, Kori's flamelike hair and glowing eyes seemed enhanced by the dark of the evening, but the orange woman shook her head lightly. "It is okay Sarah. As long as you are doing alright I am happy. And if you are not?"

She smiles, shrugging her shoulders, "I will try to fix that. That is what good friends and good heroes do!"

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would smile, "Ah.. Thank you Koriand'r. I.. Don't think I know you well enough to say I'm a friend, but the sentiment is aprpeciated. And I.. Don't quite think I'm a good hero yet. Or if I'm really there in general or a good fit."

Koriand'r has posed:
A shift of the water, warning that Kori was swimming closer before she tilts her head. "We live together, fight together, eat together and support each other..and we fight to help people. I think that makes us friends!"

Infailable logic to the alien who reaches a hand out, letting it fall on Sarah's shoulder. "You do fine. Besides, you should have seen me when I arrived here!"

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would smile, "I probably came here in far better a state than you did and on far better terms. But you are a very unique being from any world." She would offer gently to the Princess. You're a far better being than most of us."

Koriand'r has posed:
"And you do not give yourself enough credit," Kori smiles, lazily shifting to draw the other woman into the water once she'd sat her phone aside regardless of what clothing Sara might be wearing.

"You should relax, be confident in yourself and what you have done."

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would sigh, "I don't -deserve- that much credit. I've failed in so many things and I'm going to fail in so many more. And people I've never met are going to be hurt because of my failures."

Koriand'r has posed:
Kori's arms would encircle the other woman, the push of her form from behind one of comfort rather than any further designs. "You cannot be expexted to succeed every time, and you should focus on when you do succeed...and remember your team is here to help you when you cant."

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would close her eyes, "The Titans are your family. Not mine." She would say sort of sadly but with the sort of thoughtfulness of someone who didn't fit. She would meep at the embrace of the other woman, letting herself be tugged in.

Koriand'r has posed:
"But they can be yours...and we will always be your friends and companions either way." Kori's arms giving a firm comforting squeeze. "Remember, we're all misfits and strange types. That's what makes us special."

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would close her eyes, "You're right." She would take a breath and slowly force it out. "I appreciate it." Spoken like someone no matter what species, what world, of not really being sure on things.

Koriand'r has posed:
Even so, it was acceptance that Kori would accept, the press of the taller, stronger form against Sarah's back remaining as she kept up the embrace, a closeness perfectly normal for one of Tamaran and to her mind? Perfectly justified by a friend in need.

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
There's confusion and tenseness, and Sarah Rainmaker forces herself to relax into it, still confused but accepting it with the intent given. "Thank you Koriand'r. You're too nice for this.." She was going to say 'world' but then trailed off..

Koriand'r has posed:
A little shift to let her chin rest of Sarah's shoulder, Kori gives a lazy murmer of amusement before shaking her head while the rest in the waters of the pool and turns her gaze skywards. "You're welcome Sarah..."

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would smile a bit, "Thank you. Ah.." She would lcose her eyes, "So when you look up at the stars, what do you see?" Her tone is thoughtful, taking advantage of a quiet moment to try and refocus herself.

Koriand'r has posed:
Koriand'r actually chuckles a little at that, but she answers none the less. "Beauty, mystery...sometimes home? Even knowing what we do about what waits in the stars doesn't stop us from enjoying what is right in front of us."

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would laugh, "That's very wise, Koriand'r." She would pull her legs up underneath her, "I don't think I know you that well.. How long have you been on Earth?"

Koriand'r has posed:
"A little while now," Koriand'r admits, the alien lazily retaining her grasp on the human. "But it still continues to amaze me all the time."

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would wtitch her lips, "Thank you. I suppose it's.." She would close her eyes and laugh, "Never mind, that sounds incredibly trite and you probably hear the question severla times a day."

Koriand'r has posed:
Kori simply chuckles at that, letting the comfortable quiet and the sounds of water fill the silence for the time being.

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would smile a bit, "Thank you for being kind to me." She would try to tentatively return the hug, as if unsure.

Koriand'r has posed:
The hug is, of course, accepted from the young woman, Kori loosening her embrace enough for Sarah to turn and return the comforting hold.

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would just shake her head and go to fold her hands on her lap. "I have to think on solving my own problems and hte ones I've caused for other people before I can even think of.."

Koriand'r has posed:
Since Sarah's hand repositioning might get a touch more intimate otherwise, Kori finally released the other woman, allowing herself to dip back and float on the surface. "Before you can think of what?" she questions lightly. "As I said, we are here to help!"

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would smile sadly, "Before I can think about things for myself. I've.." She would take a breath, "I'm sorry, I'm lecturing." Stopping it is hard by teh expression on the Apache's face.

Koriand'r has posed:
"Lecturing?" Certainly Kori looked puzzled, herself seemingly not following Sarah's talk of self-denial or mistakes. After all, she still held to the thought she'd be able to help with almost anything.
