Date of Scene: 22 March 2022
Location: Recreation Room
Synopsis: Gabby and Franklin meet in the rec room and chat over caffeinated drinks.
Cast of Characters: Gabby Kinney, Franklin Richards

Gabby Kinney has posed:
This time of day was one of the rare times the rec room was usually quiet, if not completely unused. Between classes, study time, and the nicer weather outside to lure people out it left it quiet for a short period. Gabby had set herself up here seated on the floor cross-legged with her back braced against the front of the couch. It left the coffee table the perfect height for her to have an arrangement of drinks spread out.

More than drinks though, really, it seems that she was busy mixing herself up a cocktail of some bizarre yet non-alcoholic variety. A Redbull here, an Electrolyte mixed powder, caffiene pills, ginseng drink... It all goes into a mixer shake that she caps off and starts to shake up with an intense look. Nearby there's an android pad opened up to a webpage listing 'Best Things To Keep You Awake.'

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin -lived- to see a quiet rec room.

It was so unusual to find nobody in the rec room that either being the first person in or the -only- person in might as well have been Christmas. It'll only happen once. So, after he's done sitting through a class, Franklin is moving and moving quickly (while trying to look as normal and unsuspicious as possible) to get to the room!

He practically skids through the door, only to find that there's a resident! "Oh! Hi. Didn't think anybody would be here today." Of course, Franklin didn't have a tone to him that might come off wrong, but words are words.

"Are you having a good day?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney lifts her head at the greeting with a quickly flashed smile that causes the scars on her face to crinkle. If they weren't there, likely she'd have dimples, but she works with what she has. The vicious two-handed shaking up of her 'drink' pauses so she doesn't look like she's abusing a shake weight while responding. "Hi! Yeah I'm doing good, you?" Her head tilts a little peering toward the blonde trying to suss out some familiarity in his features. It'd been awhile since she really paid much attention to the school outside of her immediate friends--There was so much going on lately it seemed.

"Don't think I've ran into you before. I'm Gabby. Want a drink? I've..." Her eyes skim over the table in front of her eyeing the arrangement. "Probably got a few I haven't opened yet."

Franklin Richards has posed:
"I'm doing okay, thanks!" Frank's expression is friendly and his voice is kindhearted in it's nature. Though he doesn't miss the abused 'drink' that was treated like a shakeweight or an unwanted animal. Though if she looks closer at Frank, he has the face of Reed and Sue Richards. He's probably their kid or some such like that. Though they haven't conversed much.

"That makes two of us. I'm Franklin, but most people just call me Frank or Frankie, so it's completely up to you." He smiles at her. "I'd love a drink. My throat feels infinitely dry." He walks towards the table, dragging a chair with him to sit with his chest to the spine of the chair.

"I won't ask if you come here often, because that sounds cheesy. But, is this a favorite spot for you?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney sits up a little bit straighter to survey her arrangement of drinks to pluck out a Redbull that hadn't been opened, a Coke, and finally a bottle of fruit punch flavored electrolytes. All she sets in front of Franklin giving him the option of his drink of choice out of what was assembled. "Nice to meet you, Franklin. Pick your poison. Figuritively speaking I am not actually condoning the drinking of poison."

Another little grin is given before she finally flips the top to her own vile concoction. A breif glance is cast around the room with a fond smile at old memories. "It's a good place. Kitchen is too, and out by the lake. I don't hang out here as often as I used to though. I've been busy with some other work elsewhere," she explains giving a rolling shrug. Then a deep breath is taken, held, and she tips back her drink to take at least three gulps.

A grimace at the flavor comes over her before she explains, "Regular energy drinks don't do anything for me so I'm experimenting. Trying to get a little jump out of something."

Franklin Richards has posed:
"Well, if you're drinking poison and you're ok? I figure you're a tough lady. Besides, it'd be rude of me not to drink from the same stock." Franklin proceeds to reach for a code specifically, apparently he likes the carbonated caffeine! Though with a bit of a chuckle, he nods. "Likewise, Gabby." He smiles at her. "...do you actually drink poison? Is that your power?"

Franklin has the eyes of a curious child. He takes a long sip at the coke and happily closes his eyes as if to savor the taste in his mouth. "I hang out here as much as I can, especially before the student rush. But, live and let learn. I was too late today." He winks.

"Why do energy drinks not do anything? I know sometimes if you drink too much or too many, you can build a resistance in a way."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney crinkls her nose at the very thought of her power being to drink poison. Though that does bring up some interesting points that cause her to pause and consider it thoughtfully before she finally shakes her head. "No, I've got a healing factor so it tends to counter-act a lot of things that would harm me. Or," she adds with a little hoist of her cup in indication, "Makes some things not effect me in the same way as others. I can't get drunk either. I mean." A quick glance around is given to see if any of the teachers are here, or worse yet, one of her relatives. Thankfully it was just them. "Not that I've really done it more than a time or two. To try."

Looking back to Franklin he's offered another easy smile. If anything she seemed rather relaxed in spite of her drink testing session. "Every now and then it'd be nice to have a little bit of a boost though, you know? Sorry I ruined your alone time."
