Stella Roundtree has posed:
Following a delightful meal abroad, the time has come to return to the Buckeye state. Apparently still holding on to some of her native turf, Stella's apartment is not packed up at all. The things she brought to New York are miniscule in comparison to this well-appointed two bedroom place in a gorgeous, castle-like building. Thankfully she has her keys and the key code to the front door, no mail since it's all forwarded.

"Welcome to my former abode," Stella says. And man, is this place lived in. Big bookshelves filled to the brim, paintings and prints on the walls, a fully stocked kitchen, it's all rather nice in here. She's obviously barely packed. "Huh. I thought I'd brought more with me..."

Hal Jordan has posed:
A Green LAntern power ring does make it easy to get around, doesn't it? In Greek Isles one moment and then back off to Columbus Ohio the next. All in the span of less than an hour. It certainly helps keep things interesting -- and travel expenses way, way down. He eyes the impressive looking building as he follows her in with a wry smile, giving her a chance to check in before following her up to the apartment. Which is equally impressive in it's own way. It certainly feels a little more lived in then any of the places he calls home, though in fairness he rather gets around quite a bit. "Nice place. Very comfy. It's probably good you kept it though. Your roommate might be in for a surprise if you suddenly descended upon her with all of this," he says with a quiet laugh.

Stella Roundtree has posed:
"God, I know, what am I even going to DO with all this. I guess I could keep the place, it's not like I'm paying much to live in my New York room..." Stella says. There's a big living room with a curving gray sectional. All the furniture is otherwise black or gray, with plenty of wrought iron and the occasional pop of red or purple to break things up. This is a goth apartment. There are skulls on the tops of her bookshelves, though thankfully animal in nature and probably farm-related, but it's all tasteful.

"Hella's pretty much my decorative opposite. And she works weird hours, and so do I, so sometimes we barely see one another," she says, flopping down on the couch, wiggling into her preferred spot.

Hal Jordan has posed:
Though the couch looks comfortable enough, he does not make an immediate beeline to it, instead slowly walking around the edge of the room, looking over those bookshelves and knick knacks, the skulls and the whole goth chic of the place. It's not a surprise given that he knows her now, but it is still interesting to see that side of her. "I suppose you can keep the place so long as you can afford it. Or put things into storage if you decide that you're never actually coming back," he allows before turning back towards her with a smile. "It is a nice place afterall. If you don't have to make an immediate decision you might as well take advantage."

Stella Roundtree has posed:
"I've been putting it off," she says. "I just didn't know what would happen in the bigger city! And things went so badly at first..." she laments. "I almost ditched and came back after two weeks! I didn't even have to find a new place, it just fell into my lap, and you've been in there. It's way nicer than just about anything else that I could find, and she *owns* it. Never have I felt so broke than around people I met recently," she says, watching him examine her goods. There are photos as well, some enlarged lomographs in their dreamy colors, matted in white with black frames. Stella and her sister as teens in front of moss-covered boulders, an old barn loft with owls peeking down, and a diorama being painted by students, taxidermy off to one side to be placed back in.

Hal Jordan has posed:
After all the discussion about lomography he does linger over some of those examples that she has on display in interest, looking them over with a small nod before finally starting back towards the couch, sinking down beside her for the moment. "I have some idea of what you mean," he agrees drily. Being a test pilot pays alright to be sure and there is a stipend in being a Green Lantern, but he will certainly never be rich, especially given that he knows several billionaires in his line of work. Of course they don't get a power ring so perhaps things even out slightly. "Anyway, I'm glad you decided to stick with it, otherwise I might never have met you," he points out archly. "I like your pictures too, by the way. You'll definitely have to bring your camera along the next time we go galavanting around the globe."

Stella Roundtree has posed:
"I know, right! They're so much fun to take, and since I have the little adapter to scan them to my phone, I can just send them out to be printed. I have a decent little printer here, one more thing to take back to New York. honestly, I don't know that I see myself living there forever," she shrugs. "But it's fun to explore for now. And I'm also glad we met." She leans closer, easy to do on such a plush couch, kissing his cheek. "Maybe you've awakened more of a travel bug in me."

Hal Jordan has posed:
Really, he could probably use a few more hobbies himself. Perhaps in travelling with her he can find a few new interests himself. Besides driving and flying really fast. "It sounds pretty handy. I look forward to seeing how the first set turns out," he admits, nudging her lightly and chuckling. "It's a pretty easy bug to catch and I like to think I'm a pretty good travel partner all things considered," he teases. If only because he reduces the expense of it all quite considerably. "At the very least it is difficult to run out of places to go," he points out with a smile.

Stella Roundtree has posed:
There might still be some opportunities for racing through the whatevers in a car or plane! Just in different places around the world. "Right. So you're also going to have to show me some choice space places," she says. "I want to see how closely they align with my imagination!" she giggles, holding up her hands and wiggling her fingers at the thought. "I have sort of a Disney retro-future vibe going on in my head, but I'm sure it's gross and closer to Alien, huh/'

Hal Jordan has posed:
He gives a low chuckle at that, a smirk sliding over his features. "It all depends where you go," Hal counters wryly. "There are some absolutely amazing places and sights that probably are somewhat Disney-esque. And there are certainly places that are probably force worse then anything you might have seen in Alien," he admits. "A lot of it is somewhere inbetween though. Still, we could take a little bit of a tour to some of the safer places. I'll probably try to avoid dragging you to any of the high risk zones," he notes. Of course the important word there is 'try'. Sometimes things just get out of his, or anyone's hands.

Stella Roundtree has posed:
"I'll survive! Unless I can't, I'm sure there are places hostile in all ways to carbon-based lifeforms. Besides, I can be helpful, or at least pretty close to it," she acknowledges. "But I don't know that I'm trained up enough to be real helpful unless it's something very specific. Energy looks so different coming from other places, and I don't know what to do with it when it's not just kinetic or electric," she says, just a little sulky.

Hal Jordan has posed:
"I think you could definitely hold your own from what I've seen. Keep in mind that even if you're not fully trained you still can do things the vast majority of beings can't," Hal points out mildly, claiming one of her hands with his own and giving it a gentle squeeze. "So you can put away the sad face my little storm cloud," he teases before giving a quiet chuckle. "But if it would help we can definitely do a few training sessions before I drag you off planet to do any exploring," he offers up as a sort of compromise.

Stella Roundtree has posed:
"Am I a little storm cloud!" she laughs, brightening right back up. "Maybe sometimes, you have a point. But. You also aren't wrong. Let's get in a few training sessions! And then I'll feel much better. And then I'll take so many pictures. I'll have to have my backpack stuffed with film. You're already a space cop, right? They won't confiscate my earth goods, will they? Whoever THEY are in space, of course." She links her fingers with his. "If we were both normal, we'd probably still be here, I'd have just driven us to show you," she decides.

Hal Jordan has posed:
"Feeling confident usually helps a lot yes. It's understandable that you don't always, given how you were encouraged not to use your abilities," he assures her, giving her hand a squeeze once more. "And really, it depends on the world. But again, when we go we'll try to avoid those more regressive planets as much as possible. As it turns out technological advancement does not always bring along social enlightenment," he admits. "Again though, fortunately for you, I am an extremely knowledgable tour guide so I can show you all the tricks," he promises with a wink. "And I'm glad we came. I appreciate you bringing me here."

Stella Roundtree has posed:
"Well, anywhere where I'll be eaten or sold is probably a big nope," Stella says. "So those can be right out," she says as she makes an "X" motion with her index fingers. "Will it be weird for me to look like this going to those places, or are human beings really the end-all to a lot of alien shapes, just color swapped?" she asks as she leans against him. Really, it's very normal, other than the way they got here. They could have just as easily met at a bar around the corner.

Hal Jordan has posed:
"I think I can find a few places where there's not much risk of that," he promises her wryly. One would have to think it's not all that rare in the grand scheme of things. "And the humanoid form is relatively common, thouhg you will definitely see a lot of variations on it. Just in the Green Lantern Corps alone there is an amazing variety. But a lot of things are designed around our general build," he assures her. "Though don't get me wrong. We definitely won't blend in with the locals on most worlds. The differences tend to be a little more profound then ripples on the nose or pointed ears," he adds drily.

Stella Roundtree has posed:
"So how do we go about it?" she asks. "Like am I just there as a guest?" she asks. "I have no idea what one needs to travel to other worlds, I was pretty sure there weren't that many until I met you. I guess I'd sort of considered it, but... wait, can anything be a Green Lantern? Or anyone? I think you brought that up before. Most of them must not be human. Thank goodness I'm sober," she giggles. "If I were stoned right now, I'd be in trouble.
