Cast of Characters: Vivian Vision, Natasha Romanoff, Valeria Richards

Vivian Vision has posed:
With Spring Break at school a certain synthetic teenager has been in search of things to keep her busy.

And top of that list? Why it's what every girl wants. A pet of her very own. Specifically a dog. But not just any organic dog. No she has her heart set on the truest best friend of all.

A synthetic dog.

But which type? With so many choices to pick from it's no surprise her project hasn't really gone anywhere. Right now one of the GIRL labs has been totally devoted to the search for the ultimate breed of dog. Holographic screens, data print outs, photographs and magazine articles. You name it and if it's dog related Viv has collected it.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff is the one who's setup the security for GIRL Headquarters. So that means she's occasionally dropping in to review things and see waht needs updated, what are possible holes, and what sorts of things that need rewview. So as she comes in and would just give a glance over at the creation.

"Vivian." She would offer to the synthetic teenager. "Your latest.. Project looks unique." She would glance about, looking at the various things on display in the lab.

Valeria Richards has posed:
Valeria having largely avoided schooling foor most of her life hasn't had a spring break in her life. But she gets the concept of time off which she encourages.

So when she saunters into the room too see dog breeds being considered, the blonde woman grins.

She may be a supergenius but she's still susceptible to things like cute cuddly doggos.

"So wow? Are you at the chassis stage? Or is this planning? Have you got a canine synthezoid processor functioning yet and just need to pick a body?" she has a heap of questions clearly but she's also clearly eager to help. "So what do you want in a doggo? Sorry. Canine companion."

Vivian Vision has posed:
There's no sign of a Lab in the lab. Nor of any other dog shaped chassis's. "Currently? I am still trying to decide what I want to work on," Viv admits with a sigh. "I have yet to begin work on any of the subsystems either. After all the motor functions would vary a lot depending on the overall size of the build."

She tilts her head at Natasha and shrugs. "I sometimes find it hard to tell what is 'normal'. This simply seemed like the most logical way to go about choosing what sort of pet I wanted. Comprehensive research and study. Followed by a cost benefit analysis of each of the most promising candidates to pick which I like the most."

And given the materials required to make a synthezoid it's also a good way to figure out which is the most affordable...

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would nod and look over, "So what are the plans? Are you looking to clone something? Make something fully mechanical in nature? Some form of hybrid?" She would inquire. "And how far along are you in your design protocols?" And then as Vivian goes on about 'research' she would ahh. So actually getting something the old fashioned way.

"Also, a suggestion if I might?" She would inquire over. "You might want to spend some time with a few of them. NOt everything turns on research, there is personal preference, interation.. You may find some personal time spent with a few to be beneficial. Perhaps volunteering at a local shelter?"

Valeria Richards has posed:
Val's head bobs in an understanding nod and flicker of long blonde hair pooling in and around a Fantastic Blue hood attached to the sweatshirt she wears with black yoga pants and sneakers in a similar blue as the top.

"Yeah. I'd suggest spending time at shelters too. The only downside is you may feel a need to fill your dorm with fosters. Or possiibly not be able to fister because you;d end up having to adopt every single one" Val adds with a chuckle.

"Plus you'd never get Molly to go to class. She'd be too rapt up in hugging and petting all the good doggos!" she states with a playful tone.

"You might yet want to adopt as an option anyway!"

Vivian Vision has posed:
"I was not intending on having an organic companion," Vivian explains solemnly. "As a pet should be for life and I'm likely to last far longer than a typical Human. Also I am a little bit concerned that my synthetic nature might cause confusion for a canines sense of smell."

"Which is not to say that visiting a shelter wouldn't be a good idea for the project. If nothing else it'd give me a chance to obtain some real world data."

There's a slightly wry smile. "It's already tricky ensuring my room mate goes to class. She's become quite fond of her jet pack."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would give a low, amused nod at Vivian, "Fair enough. It also might help you refine some algorithms for behavioral protocols. I presume that you'll be doing your own? Or do you plan on taking some preestablished personality profiles and adapting them? Some empirical research will help you make refinements for what sorts of personality interaction you might like more. Such things are personal, after all. Not predetermined."

And glancing at Valeria, "Oh? I've heard that Molly can be quite.. Enthusiastic when she pursues things. You could ask her for some advise?"

Valeria Richards has posed:
"No regrets on making her a flight harness. It should have maybe made going to class faster. But I'm not the one to encourage standard schooling either." Val states and grins.

"Nat, umm I have no idea what advice Miss Hayes could actually offer beyond how to hit things, practical since I installed Thingsuit tech in my uniforms or probably adorable hats." Val seems confused as she ponders what Molly might have knowledge over that Val doesn't.

It's probably a lot of stuff.

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Valeria if you really wish to improve your hand to hand combat skills then you should just ask Natasha," Vivian points out. Idly flicking through lists of dog breeds. One that's comprehensive enough to cover several breeds that no longer exist for one reason or another. "Or my Great Aunt. Alternatively if you specifically wish enhanced strength techniques then Miss Walters could be a good person to speak to."

She frowns.

"I suppose I should consult my room mate to ensure she doesn't mind me having a 'pet' in the dorm room. It would be impolite not to at least raise the subject before I begin construction."

Then she shrugs. "But that's a task for later. As of yet I hadn't even started thinking of the best way to program behavior. My project methodology as yet does not require me to come up with specific design decisions yet. I'll save more technical considerations until I have a firm idea what I wish to actually achieve."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would give a nod to Vivian, "You can't always rely on technology or weaponry. They can be disabled at any point or broken. In a melee you may not have time to repair them or quickly fix them. If you're caught without them then you could be badly exposed. Learning basic defense techniques are extremely important. I would recommend more advanced ones."

There would be another twitch of a light smile from Natasha's lips. "I would suggest first interactions before working on behavior. To give you an idea as to what they are like. You may find things fully against what your preliminary work is."

Valeria Richards has posed:
"I've had some coaching hear and there. I just don't get much more practice than I should. Just regular excercise takes enough time and that's including TENS use to work muscles while working in the lab." Valeria states with a smile.

"Hopefully Molly is not allergic. But fostering at least might let you get some research into what sort of dog you may want your project to be. That way you can get your research, and your need to cuddle and nurture might kick in as well!" she adds with a big smile. "Beats just watching Youtube videos, or not being allowed to take research home if that is a thing in dorms." she states. "Just say therapy companion and they'll let it slide."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"I'm not aware of synthezoids causing allergy issues," Vivian admits, bringing up a whole new set of data. "But a synthezoid level of replication of an allergen could in theory create some sort of enhanced reaction. I will have to run simulations to ensure that's not a risk."

Thankfully there are plenty of members of GIRL who can help with R&D and testing!

"Janet was able to get Captain Rogers to give me lessons in hand to hand combat. Although I think I probably should develop a unique style based around my abilities. They change how I can interact so much that limiting myself to just organic techniques seems short sighted."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would nod at Valeria, "Formal instruction is better. When it comes to learning how to defend yourself. I understand it takes time but I would urge you to consider it strongly. If you're in a position where you're unable to defned yourself, you are vulnerable. And that is a danger to not only you but to the rest of the team or whomever you're operating with. It can be a weakness I would urge you to remedy." Not 'require' but 'urge'.

She would nod to Vivian, "Perhaps put yourself in one of the combat simulators and test yourself against various opponetns and see how your base regimen fares?"

Valeria Richards has posed:
"I meant the fostering of live animals. It's something to check for kinda like how schools have to know about food allergies." Miss Brainstorm clarifies with a smile.

Natasha gets a chuckle. "Ben Grimm. The Thing. Think that qualifies as informally formal. Plus a few informal lessons. Most of it is just to disengage. Having my family usually works best in deterring would be attackers." she points out.

"That way I can go back to being the brain in most situations. The multiple layers of tech redundancy also helps keep folks off my back. Plus you know, having friends. Best thing ever!" she points out.

"And yeah we could set up some simulations to make sure all systems are optimal. Defensive in particular Viv!" she offers.

Vivian Vision has posed:
"We could I suppose," Vivian agrees. "Although I am capable of simplying running simulations within my own mind. One of the advantages of being a synthezoid is I can portion off my mind to compete against each other. By adjusting relative levels of processing power I can effectively scale the difficulty from a trivial threat up to a world ending supervillain."

Of course nothing in a simulation quite works out the same way it would in reality. But that's why you run multiple simulations.

"I've also had plenty of real world combat experience by now." Even if most of the time she's doing everything she can to avoid actually hurting anyone. Unless they work for the Red Room or are kidnapping her family members. Then all bets are off.

Valeria Richards has posed:
"Well at least when we run the sims we can monitor it real time. But the holo sims in the training room can at least mean we can join in. I still need to train iin field like scenarios. If I do it in my head it's just day dreaming!" the Fantastic younng woman points out.

"Just hopefully if we train against each other I'm at least on world ending level. I'd rather conquer it though. All my stuff is here. Of course when I am Queen of All things. That will include you both!" she jokes.

She can probably feel her patents frowning all the way back at Four Freedoms Plaza.

Vivian Vision has posed:
"That's under the assumption that your Godfather abdicates," Viv points out with a smile. "Which I doubt will be any time soon. Given he hasn't actually taken over the world yet. Besides legally speaking I am owned by Pym Industries. And given Janet is in charge... Well I pity anyone who tries to go up against her."

She glances back to Valeria and nods.

"If you wish to train sometime I would be happy to help. I've got plenty of combat data which could be used to make simulated encounters. Amazon hand to hand techniques. Evil cyborg supersoldiers. Even one with sea monsters.. Your suit does work under water, right?"

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would just listen to the two, "I feel like you would do well matched up against one another. I'm sure that your awareness of the other's capabilities would be useful when it came time to training and looking for weaknesses. You could go to the simulator with the safeties on so you could cut loose. I'd suggest you prepare yourselves somewhat first. And do make sure that you go in purely hand to hand or with close quarters weapons."

Valeria Richards has posed:
"In case I ever need to slap Namor." Valeria states with a chuckle. "Pretty sure I've felt his eyes on my behind as much as they were on Mom. Probably thought I was mom. So deep sea knees to the junk may one dday be in order." she adds and grins.

"I still think Vivian would come up better. She's going to have a speed advantage I will never have as a human. I can think quick but I can only phsycially react so fast." She explains and shrugs her shoulders

Vivian Vision has posed:
"My information processing speed does confer multiple advantages," Vivian agrees cheerfully. "I can pick up micro-expressions that indicate which direction someone intends on attacking. And my ability to phase makes physical force largely useless against me."

"But if you intend to come on more of GIRLs high risk missions we can always train to work together. Rather than fight each other. It'll still be a good way to learn new skills without the outcome being statistically weighted in my favor."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanoff would nod at Vivian, "Possible. It means that you have to be creative to counter her as well. Fighting someone who's just as fluent wiht her makeup and technology will be unique for her as well and help her get some pointers. I think it would be a good challenge for the two of you."

Valeria Richards has posed:
Valeria nods her head and beams a huge smile. "Team building!" she states with a nod to Natasha. "Well between Mom and Janet I've had enough training there. Fab Fu is strong. And I'm slowly working on running in heels. And fighting soon. Then I shall truly be mistress of all!" she states and chuckles while flexing biceps that her hoodie complelety fails to show off. At least the yoga pants do exactly what they'rte designed for.

"If anything we can at least see how much the training room can handle."
