Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola's day had started out nice. Then lunch happened and it all went downhill. She'd stashed the file from the detective down in the apartment and she was probably not going to sleep for a few nights given she already had dead people visiting her over it.

Her last appointment was at 10pm and that meant she was just going to be in the shop by herself waiting to see if they had walk ins.

She didn't think they would, so she'd went to grab her baklava and a drink before looking to her phone. She didn't want to bother Pietro, but part of her also wanted to see a face that would brighten her day. She'd picked up the phone and sent a text to his Highness:
<I know it's getting late, but if you aren't Avengering or if it's not out of the way could I ask a favor of you to stop by the shop?> the text read.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He wasn't far away at all. He'd spent the earlier portion of the day dodging questions from Wanda about his visit to Italy, and who he might have gone to visit. It wasn't far off at all, her shop. There was a veering off in her direction, the man stepping into the shop as he glanced around. "Avengering is completed, for now. Unless a calamity comes up." He offers over to the woman, stepping closer.

There's a pause as he looks over her expression. "Is everything all right? What did you need as a favor?" He wonders, glancing around the shop to ensure everything was still in order.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
The bell above the door makes Micola look up and there's a bit of her stress that melts away when she sees Pietro's familiar face, "That would be the icing on the cake that is the day." she chuckles as she shakes her head at that. The shop is quiet except for the music that is playing on the speakers and her laptop with papers around it.

"I have had a very bad day and I was going to see if I could trade fresh baklava for a hug." she admits as she looks to him. "I feel like a weirdo." she adds with a chuckle. Trying to lighten the mood.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The request stalls him for a moment, the man looking to her. "I mean, I don't think you necessarily need to trade anything for such a thing - but I will be glad to share baklava with you." Pietro steps closer, arms open - though he looks awkward. It's not a common thing for him, clearly!

"What happened? You're not a weirdo, that I know of." He offers, by way of comfort, as he waits to provide the requested hug.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
When he stalls, Micola feels a little sheepish for a moment, she should have worded that better. She closes the distance between them and wraps her arms around his shoulders to hug him. "I got extra since I was going to give some to you." she whispers to him. While she didn't hug people all of the time she was fine with hugging him.

"Thank you." she adds. "The NYPD wants me to consult on a case, it's just a lot more gruesome than I tend to deal with." she tells him. "They've not found any crime scenes here, so I'd need to fly out to look at the last one. I got a little overwhelmed is all." she admits. "How was your day?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The hug is accepted and returned, letting her relax there as best he could. "It is appreciated, it is tasty baklava." He admits, with a grin. As she explains, he listens - giving a slight nod. "Do they have any suspects? Does it look like it could be a suspect with superpowers?"

"The case spans more of the state? Or even further?" He wonders, before shaking his head. "Sorry, forgive the questions. You can tell me later, if you're permitted. I would not want you to break any rules." He says, giving her a gentle squeeze in the hug.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola takes a moment to enjoy the hug, feeling some of the worry slip away. "You can add emergency hug giver to your resume, Pietro." she teases him softly as she gives him a warm squeeze. She pulls back a little, letting her arms start to slide from his shoulders so she's not holding him so close. "I'm glad you like the baklava so much." she grins at that. "It doesn't look like the have any suspects, but it does look like whoever is doing this moved from the West Coast to here recently." she explains.

Her golden gaze looks to him, "You don't have to apologize. Questions are natural things." she tells him. "I'm guessing I'll have to go to Oregon soon. The detective was going to check some things and then see about getting the locals to let us see the scene where the last murder happened." she explains.

"But...that's all the information I really have that I can give." she tells him. "You give good hugs by the way." she grins at him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A smile from Pietro, the man nodding. "Wanda would agree with you, I am sure. Me, I am not so confident. I don't get to hug often, truth be told." The man explains. As she steps back a bit, he still maintains contact. "I suspect is is due to my ... state of speed." He shrugs a bit, still grinning.

"Oregon. The west coast is nice this time of year. The forests out that way are spectacular, as well." He mentions. Then there's a look around. "Have you had other visitors regarding these crimes?" He wonders.

A slight flush to his cheeks. "Thank you. You give excellent hugs, yourself."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"You should be confident in that, I've not reason to lie to you and I'm guessing your sister doesn't lie to you either." Micola points out with a smile. "And if you're alright with it you can hug me any time you like. I like hugs." she grins. She then reaches a hand up to brush a bit of his hair back before she lowers her hand back to his shoulder.

"I hear there are a few cool aquariums out that way. I might try to visit one while I'm out there." she chuckles. She frowns softly, "The ghost that is currently haunting me matches one of the photos from the file I have. I didn't tell the detective, but it seems like something else might be at work. There's no sign of powers yet, so there is that." she tells him.

She looks to the clock on the wall, then back to him, "I know you don't like sitting still for long, but would you like to stay for a bit? Could make some coffee or something to go with the baklava..and I think I'm done with work for the night. So locking up is my next stop before heading downstairs for the night." she chuckles.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"I will trust in your veracity about the hugs, and Wanda's." He admits, with a chuckle. "I will keep that in mind, Micola. I don't want... to rush anything, so forgive my cuatious nature." Pietro offers by way of an apology. A smile as she fixes his hair.

"Can you reassure the ghost that you are doing what you can to help? Do they need to be kept at bay or silenced?" He wonders, looking about the open air. "You cannot investigate if you are too exhausted in dealing with a haunting..."

His eyes follow her's to the clock. "I am more than happy to stay for a bit. Coffee and baklava sounds wonderful, as does offering you comfort and company."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives him a soft smile, "Pietro, I'd never try to rush you into anything, even if you can move thousands and thousands of miles per hour." she tells him quietly. "Slow and steady sometimes wins the race." she smiles. "I don't blame you for having the cautious nature. I'm not going to hold that against you." she adds.

"I have tried to talk to her, but she's in a bit of a pattern. So I need to work on things to get her out of it." she frowns. "I don't really want to silence her. When someone else comes around she leaves. But when they are gone she's back." she explains. "I tend to exhaust myself when we have a situation like this...so I apologize if I become a lousy person." she whispers to him.

She gives a soft smile to him, "Well, I'll lock up and grab things to head down. She won't bother you if you head down. I doubt she's hanging around given things." she admits. "We'll try to salvage the night, thank you for coming over, Pietro." she tells him as she works on locking up.
