Doing What He Can
Date of Scene: 14 April 2022
Location: An Abandoned Warehouse
Synopsis: Spider-man calls in a favor from some Princesses so Peter can give Susan the date she deserves.
Cast of Characters: Peter Parker, Susan Sullivan

Peter Parker has posed:
It has been two days since Susan issued her ultimatum at Belly Burgers. She has not received word yet from Peter as to how the bet has resolved, but she was pretty confident it would go in her favor, so that should be no surprise. What likely was a surprise was the summons she received, with a location. Not exactly the best part of town, and upon her arrival at the exterior of the building it definitely did not appear to be the sort of restaurant she was hoping to aspire to. Not even an Olive Garden. Not even a pizza stand. Not even a restaurant. It was, at best, a warehouse. At worst, a warehouse that hadn't been used in...years, perhaps?

But, appearances can be deceiving. If she braves the door (presumably she has had a tetanus shot recently and so the rusty handle poses no health concerns) and opens it up, she will find that the inside has been transformed. Or at least, as transformed as one can do on a shoe string budget.

In truth, it appeared to only have one long table, covered in a pale pink tablecloth. There is one grand pink chair at the end, looking rather like a giant sea shell, and a line of cups and saucers on either side of the table. A few tea pots sit strategically placed along the table, and plates of small delectables are there as well.

The table is also occupied at present, other than the one large chair. On one side of the table is a young woman with pale skin, black hair, striking flushed cheeks wearing a dress with a blue top and a yellow skirt. Next to her is a girl with long flowing blonde locks and a dark pink dress. Opposite the girl in pink is a red head with a slightly paler pink, and next to her is a brunette with a yellow dress.

At the other end of the table is Peter, waiting patiently for Susan to arrive, his fingers fumbling with the edge of the table cloth while the other girls engage in idle polite chatter.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan is going to have to have...just so many words exchanged with her boyfriend. Still, this is a change of pace from their previous dates, for sure. "Peter?" she asks as she enters the room, looking over the quad of girls. "What's going on?"

Peter Parker has posed:
Jumping up as soon as Susan enters, Peter walks over towards her, a bright smile on his face. The girls also fall into a hush, and all turn to flash radiant white smiles at Susan. In unison, they all say "Hello, Susan," in a way that probably comes out sounding way creepier than intended.

Peter reaches out to take Susan's hand once he has crossed to the doorway. "I know it's not a fancy dinner, but I thought, what does Susan love most of all?" He waves his free hand over to indicate the table. He waits for her to figure it out, but only for a moment, before stage whispering. "It's a Disney Princess tea party."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
As Peter finally describes what's happening, all the tension melts from Susan's face. She can't help but smile, then laugh. She laughs long and loud and clear. It's almost uncharacteristic. She does, however, hug Peter. "You dork," she says. Pulling back from the hug just a bit, she kisses him. She lets it linger a little before looking back at the princesses. "Weird location for it," she says, still holding Peter in a hug as light is shown on the proceedings. She looks back at Peter and runs her fingers through his hair. "But you definitely are taking me more seriously, now. Thank you." She goes back to hugging him tightly, her head on his shoulder.

Peter Parker has posed:
The smile that breaks out on Peter's face as the tension melts away is clear, and almost as brilliant as the one by the practiced Princesses. "I mean, I had to take what I could get. I still don't have much of a budget, but..." He enjoys the hug, giving her a squeeze, nodding into her fingers. "I can't always promise fancy things, or expensive things. But you'll always have the best my brain and heart can muster, ok?"

He lets his head rest against hers, and turns slightly to brush a kiss against her ear. He whispers softly. "FYI, they're doing a favor for Spider-man, who asked them to help his friend Peter. You do _not_ want to know what Spider-man is doing for them in return."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"I trust you," Susan says, raising her head to look into his eyes. She still has her qi powers. The implication would likely be that if he cheats on her, she'll have to have lots of restraint to keep from breathing in his qi and making him her thrall. "So, shall we?" she suggests, gesturing to the group of ladies dressed as Disney Princesses.

Peter Parker has posed:
Peter's face pales a bit at that comment. "No no, nothing like that!" He smiles, and takes her hand and leads her over to the table. "Hello, this is Princess Demona." He smiles broadly to the Princesses, who introduce themselves in turn. It almost seems coordinated.

"I'm Snow White," "I'm Aurora,", "I'm Ariel," and "I'm Belle." The girl in the yellow dress leans over to the side, and smiles broadly as she sees Susan's backpack. "I see you are a fan, Princess Demona!" She claps her hands together with glee. It might earn her a bit of side-eye from Aurora.

Peter moves over and pulls out the enormous chair for Susan. "Please, have a seat."
