What are we going to do tonight Gwendy
Date of Scene: 15 April 2022
Location: Radio City Music Hall
Synopsis: Gwenpool and Emma meet at the music hall.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Gwendolyn Poole

Emma Frost has posed:
Peaceful. Purposeful. It was an off night for the performances in the music hall, and Emma Frost was simply wandering through the halls. A quiet look on her face as she would go through some of the exhibitions present. Looking from a record player holding up a scratched vinyl record on it that was being tended to by one of the tour guides. "That looks like it's seen better days." She would muse

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
Gwen is undercover tonight, scouting the music hall for a potential assassination she might have to stop in a few nights. She's stolen a work uniform, and wanders the halls dressed in it. Her blonde and pink hair is pulled back into a simply ponytail, and she hums a bit to herself as she scans her surroundings. She sees the work being done and steps up curiously.

Emma Frost has posed:
The girl stansd out for whatever reason. Emma Frost would slowly turn her attention over to Gwen for a moment. "You don't particularly look like you belong here." She would note, idly. "And you seem a little young to be on the staff as well."

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
She furrowed her brow a bit and looked up at Emma. She scoffed. No, really, she made the kind of scoffing sound someone makes when exagerrating the sound. She might as well say 'scoff'. "Well, I never! I do thank you, though! I'll thank my...uh...doctor who helps me with my skin routine." She winces a bit and then shrugs a shoulder.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just narrow her eyes, "If you're going for an academy award, I'm sorry to say that you aren't quite up to snuff. Nor Shakespeare in the park. So do tell me why you're here and consider me rather curious."

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
"Well, I need to talk to the people at the Denver Community College theater department to get my money back, then..." She trails off a bit as she glances about, as if looking for a possible exit. "Alright, fine. You caught me. I'm just a huge fan of this place. So big I bought my own uniform. Really."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just cross her arms over and look down at Gwen, "Well, I'd suggest asking for your money back. If you couldn't get in on one of the tours the offer the public there are easier ways to get in. Just tell them you're a roadie."

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
She furrowed her brow a bit and then offered a lopsided grin. "Roadie. Nice. I like that one. I'll file that away for the next job, if I need it. Yeah, alright, whatever. I'm scoutin' the place. You know, like an awesome ninja." She poses.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just sort of stare over at Gwen for a moment, "I see then. And which particular ninja organization are you affiliated with then that has you performing such reconaissance duties?" Humor her.

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
She waves that off. "Nah, I tried all that. Didn't work out. I tried the Hand, but...I don't look cool in all black. Worked for M.O.D.O.K for awhile, but..." She raises a hand to make a stage whisper. "...He kinda got a bit too into me. So, yeah. I'm independent."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would give a low stare over at Gwen, and decide to go along with it, "I see. So you didn't appreciate his attempts at wooing you? I presume he didn't take that well." Now she's sympathetic at least.

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
"Naaaaah. I'm holding out for one of the X-Men. Or...maybe Spider-Man. Or Spider-Girl." She shrugs again and then glances to the side. She is taking note of several of the maintenance doors, and tracking the breaks staff are taking. Maybe she is a bit better at this kind of thing then she lets on.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just cross her arms, "Oh? I've heard stories about the X-Men." She would intone with full sincerity. "And don't Spiders tend to consume their partners once they're done?"

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
She waves that off. One hand casually reaches under her uniform coat and draws a Glock 9mm. She checks the safety on it and the clip, before tucking it right back out of view. "I dunno. Maybe. I flunked science class. I was way better at theater."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would go to rub at her temples, "Do I want to know where you were keeping htat on you? And am I at risk of having a shot go out and hit me if I don't hide behind some object?"

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
She rolls her eyes. "I actually know how to use a weapon." She's telling the truth. As unstable as the young woman might seem, Emma can likely sense that fact. Under the surface she is damned lethal. "And...nah, probably better off not asking where I hide it."

Emma Frost has posed:
Well, the woman had some level of basic precautions. Emma would relax just a little bit. "So what is the particular operation that you're reconoittiring for?" Might as well indulge her curiousity.

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
"There's a woman seeing a show this week. She has a lot of money and a lot of enemies. She has private security but is pretty sure one of them is planning something with an outside group. So...she quietly hired me to keep an eye on things without her personal security knowing." She peers up at Emma. "So, I decided to do some basic scouting to see how secure the place is, and what the staff schedules are like. Turns out they do -not- check staff IDs very well."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just take a moment to look down at Gwendolyn in evaluation. "No, it isn't. Here is a horrid place to try and secure. Big, open spaces, far too many backstage areas and corridors. Few areas are inaccessible, mnay have little traffic, and it's far too easy to lose things in crowds. I might in turn suggest to your employer that she might wish to reconsider attending."

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
"Yeah, I tried. But rich people do what they want, I guess. See me? Strictly suburban upbringing. JUST wealthy enough coming up to have too much confidence and a nice pint of priviledge, but not...well...-socialite- levels." She grins.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would tap at her arm, "Well, those types are teh ones tha tkeep you employed. Do tell her that you require hazard pay, expenses, and extra funding for related paraphenalia to help secure the area."

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
She nods to that. "Oh, for sure. I'm squeezing her for every drop. Mama needs a new machine gun. And I'm really wanting a nice steak dinner." Gwen grins lopsidedly.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just look at Gwendolyn, "If you need a new machine gun, you're buying htem in the wrong place." Hand on a hip. "Fly down to Texas or Nevada. They're far cheaper, no identification is required, and you can simply rent a truck to take them back."

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
"Yeah, but I'd be in -Texas-," she replies, as if her argument is perfection and common sense. "I'll happily pay the 'stay out of homophobia town' fee if I have to. And I haaaaave a nice machine gun. I want -another- machine gun," the blonde explains. She flashes a smile when a staff member passes by, briefly halting the conversation. Once they pass she turns back to Emma.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would frown for a moment, "You have my sincerest apologies young lady for my not taking that into consideration. I didn't mean to insult you." Emma actually was apologetic there.

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
Gwen nods a bit. "Apology accepted. Now..." She glances aside to take the lobby hallway they're chatting in in a bit more. "...I actually think I'm done here until the night of."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Very well. Also, a few suggestions depending on how seriously you take your job. Have her sit somewhere else. Make up where randomly when she arrives. Her attacker will be setup primarily to hit where her box seats are and will have prepared accordingly to target it."

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
"Right. That'll help a bit. But if the killers really are working with her security, that cancels a -bit- of it. But yeah, not all of it. Thanks beautiful!" Gwen offers a bit of a salute and turns away, considering her exit.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smirk softly, "Take care." Emma hasn't asked for Gwen's name for a reason. What she's not told she has plausible deniability over. And.. W ell.. Likely some last minute stock purchases.

Gwendolyn Poole has posed:
And with that the mercenary takes off. She wanders off and ends up finding a side exit, slipping out into the night. Her motorcycle is stashed a block away. She could swear she's seen Emma somewhere before. Somewhere back home. But coming to this world had fractured her comic book lore so much. Still, she knew enough to know she was someone to remember. Someone...related to the color white, maybe? Eh, off we go! Big Belly Burger calls!
