The Fastest Man On Skates
Date of Scene: 18 April 2022
Location: A Skating Rink
Synopsis: Micola takes Pietro to a skating rink as their first official date. Everything goes smoothly.
Cast of Characters: Micola Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola was excited to take Pietro skating! She wasn't sure if he'd done it before and it was going to be interesting to see the speedster 'off his feet' in a way. Super skating probably wasn't allowed in the place. She'd told him that if he didn't bring his own skates that they could rent some. He might be weird about rented skates, she wasn't sure! They'd set up the time to meet and it was unsurprising that the place was still picking up business for the evening.

It's brightly painted and there are plenty of neon lights and trendy music to keep people happy. There is also the smell of pizza, popcorn and other concession delicasies wafting in the air.

Micola is standing just inside the door, having already paid for their admission and things. She's not hard to spot with her bright hair. She's wearing skinny jeans with a black belt, a white t-shirt and a cropped jean vest that has all sorts of patches and sigils on it. Over her shoulder are a pair of very well loved rollerskates that are turquoise with pink laces. The wheels are clear and look like they might light up.

The evening was just missing one thing. A Pietro!

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Roller blades! He actually went out and purchased a top of the line pair of roller blades. He arrived shortly after she did, the skates in a sling bag over his shoulder. Spotting her, he grins. "Hey there Micola. You're looking wonderful tonight..." The man glances around the place. "I suppose these places haven't changed much in form or function, yes?"

He's wearing some torn jeans and a vintage t-shirt. Simple Vans adorn his feet. He dressed the part, at least!

"So how does this work? Do we need a wristband or something?" He looks around, before looking back to her. "And do we eat after, or before?" A slight grin. "I never really did this before, honestly."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a look up when she hears her name and there is a bright smile given to him, "Pietro!" she waves to him. There is a look over his clothing and she grins, "You look very nice as well. I figured it would be nice to be comfortable." she tells him. "No, they've not changed a lot at all." she shakes her head at that, an errant curl bouncing as she does.

"I paid admission for us and things. Just need to put this on you." she waves a bright neon yellow wristband at him. If he's alright with her looping it about his wrist and securing it she'll see to it.

"We can eat whenever you like really. We just can't eat while skating. They tend to get mad if things are dropped." she chuckles. "You've never skated before? Well...we'll change that tonight and hopefully nothing will get broken." she winks at him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The man does a slow spin to show off his outfit. "I hope I blend in." He comments, even as he extends his arm out for her to put a wristband around his wrist. "Thank you for paying for the entry, I'll handle food?" He suggests.

"Perhaps after, then. I'd rather not get knocked down and be too full to get back up." Pietro comments. "And no, no eating on the skating rink." He motions over to one of the benches. "Shall we gear up, then?" He asks.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I think you'll do fine blending in, Pietro." Micola tells him with a warm smile. It was a nice change from the super suit, but she remembered that he needed it. "Did you drive or catch the subway or something?" she asks him. She knew his main mode of transport were his own two feet most days. So she was curious. "I mean, I did ask you on a date so I wasn't going to make you pay for things." she teases him softly.

There is a laugh, "Yeah, I've seen people make the mistake of eating first and then going out and getting knocked over or falling down. Never a pretty sight." she admits. There is a look given to him and his bag, then to her skates, "Sounds like it is time to do that." she grins.

She then leads the way to the benches where people can put stuff away in lockers and change into skates. She takes a seat and gets to work on changing into her own skates, "I think the last time I skated was last fall, sadly Winter is not the weather for this sport." she muses.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
His hair certainly stands out in the flashing lights and blacklight. "I took a cab." He says, with a smile. "It wasn't the worst ride. I just... kind of zoned out." The man admits. He lets her pick a seat first, sitting next to her. His shoes are removed, the man working on getting the roller blades on.

"Ice skating, Micola. Winter is for ice skating." He teases. He looks around, hrming. "I suspect this is how people feel some of the rush I do when I am running. A bit of speed, air pushing past you... a bit of danger in maneuvering."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a look to him after she gets her shoes off, wiggling her socked feet for a moment as she settles her skates down on the ground, "I'm guessing that riding in a car is not your most favorite thing?" she asks him quietly as she slips her feet into her skates. She then realizes he is using roller blades, "Hmm, I wonder if you'll take to those better since you're speedy." she ponders.

His quip about ice skating makes her laugh, "I've never been ice skating...except for when I wear heels in the Winter time and the ice sneaks up on me." she grins goofily at that. She laces up her skates and there is a look to him, "I think that's a good way to describe it." she admits. "To get the full experience you do we might need to strap rockets to our skates." she explains. She takes a moment to stretch before she gets to her feet, letting the skates roll forward and then backward before she looks to see how he is doing with his.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A shake of his head as he slips one foot into a skate. "No. It's sitting still. Not moving. If I move around in the car, people either look at me like I am strange or get concerned." Pietro shrugs, tying up the laces nice and tight. No sliding out of the skates for Quicksilver.

A nod of agreement to her, a slight smile. "Depending on things, I might be able to give you a ride, either pushing or pulling you as we go around the rink." A smile. "Nothing too fast or dangerous, I promise." He gets the other skate on, nice and secure. "Perhaps we'll try ice skating in the winter, then? We can always get cocoa after, right?" As she stands, so does he - testing out his wheels. "This is an interesting feeling."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a nod to that, "I'm glad I don't have a car now." she admits. "Mine is old, but it's trustworthy and has room for picking up packages and things. New York just handles better on foot or bikes some days." she chuckles. "A lot of cabbie's here have probably had bad experiences, I don't think it's you personally." she tells him softly.

She quirks an eyebrow at him, a grin curling her lips up, "I think I can try that. I know you won't run me into a wall or anything." she nods. "I'd love to try ice skating in the Winter. Cocoa is just an added treat." she grins to him. She looks to his feet for a moment, then back to him, "Ready to try?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Ready as he can ever be, truth be told. Countless effortless and blindingly fast responses as he moves to stand beside her. "All right, let's give this a try." He motions for her hand, offering to take it as they make their cautious steps to the wooden skating floor.

"Let's get the basics down, then we can work up to faster speeds." A chuckle from Pietro. "Hopefully they keep the wheel bearings well cared for." He murmurs, stepping out into the already flowing skate traffic.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola looks over to him as he stands beside her. She was trying to make sure that he wasn't going to fall. When he motions for her hand she reaches out to take his, "Lets." she nods to that. She wasn't so cautious, but this was something she'd done since she was a kid. "Schools and clubs used to take field trips to skate rinks and things. No idea if they still do." she states.

Micola seems at ease though as she keeps ahold of his hand, "If you feel like you're going to fall or slip you don't worry about pulling me down." explains to him. So far so good!

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"I'd heard this was a common thing for American children. Skate parties, all that." Pietro comments, nodding as they move towards the throng of skaters. He watches her as she moves, watching as she adjusts and moves with the skates in mind. "I won't topple you with me, Micola. That'd be rude." He chuckles.

Once out on the floor, he moves with a little more confidence. He's still a bit cautious, but the music and rythym helps. "Do you suspect the DJ plays requests? Or does he do a set list of songs?" He asks, as they start moving with the flow of things.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola seems at ease with the skates on her feet, she did this a lot apparently in her years. His comment of not toppling her with him makes her laugh warmly, "I didn't bring the go pro so if you do end up falling on your butt there won't be a video of it...unless someone else records it." she winks at him.

She watches to make sure he's not going to eat skate floor when they get out there. She'd feel bad if he did. "Oh they play requests as well. You just have to go up and talk to him." she states. "They have some sets, but a lot of people do requests." she grins to that.

"What would you request?" she asks him curiously.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
His eyes narrow, looking about for anyone who would /dare/ video him. It could happen! "I appreciate your thoughts and planned discretion. I will keep an eye out for any paparatzi." Pietro smirks, looking back over to her. "You're making a list of ways to poke at me, aren't you?" He wonders, amused.

No eating the floor - he's a rather athletic and balanced man, thankfully. The man wheels with her, moving more and more to the music - his legs at least. "I don't know... I don't have a particular song in mind. I thought you might have some favorites?" He comments, enjoying the motion.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"This means selfies can't get posted to Instagram, right?" Micola asks him innocently. She smiles at that, a shake of her head, "Not that I was planning on." she tells him. "I mean...there are a few things. But if teasing ever gets too annoying let me know and I'll be glad to stop." she points out to him. "Do the paparatzi follow you a lot?" she asks him.

She then grins, "I mean, I have a lot of songs that I could go request, but all of them will get you to roll your eyes at me." she chuckles. "There's a lot of upbeat songs that are good to skate to. There's also just really good songs to listen to." she admits. "I like Classic Rock, Modern Rock and a lot of other genres. Could request some Meatloaf." she ponders this.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He looks quite amused by the teasing - good-natured as it is. "No, they usually cannot keep up with me." Pietro explains, grinning over to her. "Makes it easy to avoid. And I will let you know if you cross a line, Micola." The man assures, legs getting more and more into the habit of skating. The skates criss cross and back again.

"Roll my eyes? Are they teasing songs?" He wonders. "Classic rock is good... with the right rythym. It has to be upbeat, though. Slower drumbeats are enough to doze off to." The man teases back. "Meatloaf is a good choice. He was a fantastic storyteller."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a smile to him, "See, that's a good benefit of super speed. Outrunning annoying press." she muses to that as she skates along side him. "Thank you. I know most of the teasing is good natured, but I know we all have our bad days." she nods to that. "You're pretty good at this." she tells him with a smile.

"I mean, there is the hokey pokey...and no one wants to hear that song." she chuckles. "So that's one vote for Meatloaf." she grins at him. "You seem to be enjoying yourself." she comments to him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"The company and activity are pleasing." Pietro grins at her. "And yes, once I got the hang of the wheel rotation, it's a bit easier." He explains, doing a spin before facing forward again. "There are drawbacks, of course. Bad days to be sure. But I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth - and I wouldn't trade it for the world." He decides. "I love the sensation of speed... it's born in me."

"A laugh. "No, we'll skip the Hokey Pokey. But yes, Meatloaf is a vote from me. Do you have a favorite album of his?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a look to him, her smile a bit on the lopsided spectrum, "Pleasing. I'll take it." she tells him. She watches his spin, giving a grin to that, "I left my score cards at home, the Greek judge gives it a solid 8.5." she giggles as she skates a little out of reach. She didn't want to get swatted. "Have you ever tested your top speed? Like what is the fastest you can go?" she asks him.

"Alright, we'll request some Meatloaf, think I can do that from my phone now." she muses. "I am a fan of Bat out of Hell two. I learned how to play guitar via Meatloaf, Type O Negative and a bunch of other rock albums." she admits. "And I'm a romantic sap so 'I would do anything for love' is a favorite song." she admits to that. "And what is your favorite Meatloaf album?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The man tsks. "You're goading me again." He smirks, moving along rather fluidly now. "And yes, pleasing." Pietro repeats, before pausing. "Did I do that poorly? I enjoy being around you, Micola. Were my words not proper?" He looks a touch concerned that he might have said something damning.

"The songs I like are some of the older ones. Dead Ringer for Love, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad. I do like Objects in the Rearview Mirror, though." He comments. "Though I don't think that would do for a normal dancing sort of skate... same with Two Out of Three."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a grin, "Just a little." she tells him. She didn't really catch the pause, but she looks up from her phone and scrolling through the requestable songs that she also pauses, "What? Nooo. You didn't do anything poorly, Pietro." she shakes her head. "I'm just...when I get nervous I joke a little too much. I just don't want to do something wrong." she sighs to that.

"Hmm, they do have objects in the review mirror. Nothing wrong with a slow skate." she tells him. She presses all of the songs as she looks to him, "We'll see which one he plays." she tells him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There's a bit of relief on Pietro's face as he nods to her. "No, you've not done anything wrong at all. I assure you. And I sincerely doubt you would do anything wrong." A sigh. "Perhaps we should just both relax, yes?" He suggests, looking to her. "Not think so much, and just be in the moment?"

The lights dim a bit, and Objects in the Rearview starts playing. A slow song. He offers his hand to her, smiling. "Let's skate." Should she take his hand, he does not bolt off - just cruises with her as any couple would. "Right now, I top out at Mach 1."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola takes a breath when he reassures her and there's a soft smile to him, "I think being in the moment would be better than us trying to watch every word that we say." she tells him. She looked happy that she could be herself. When the lights start to dim she looks up at them and there's a bit of a chuckle, "Someone must like it as well." she states.

She looks to his offered hand and then reaches out to take it, lacing her fingers with his if he allows. "That is super fast." she whistles at that. "Do you feel like you could go faster if you pushed?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The two skate and move with the song as the lights flash and add atmosphere. "They have excellent taste." Quicksilver muses, feet gliding easily with the roller blades. "Yes, to the moment." He chuckles, the song having him in an excellent mood. Not to mention her hand in his!

"I raced another person, one of the Flash crew from Metropolis. He was... so much faster than me." He says, a slight tone of sourness in his voice. "I tried pushing myself. It wasn't enough against him." The man explains. "Our gifts can be increased... it's almost like a muscle or a skill, as I understand. I could ask others, like Dr. McCoy or my ... father." A shrug. "They would have more information on that."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola looks completely at ease in the moment, making sure that she doesn't trip herself on her skates. She grins at his words. They did have good taste! Though she listens to him talk on the race against the other speedster and there's a bit of a soft quirk of her eyebrow. She squeezes his hand warmly, offering silent comfort.

"Do you have a place where you could maybe practice?" she asks him. "I'm not sure what Avenger's have at their disposal really." she tells him sheepishly. Mention of his father makes her curious, but she doesn't follow up on it.

"I did have a question, if you can answer, what is your suit made from?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Swaying with the music, he turns and spins with her briefly before they right themselves. He's able to keep her up, clearly having more than normal strength. The squeeze is returned, thankful and appreciative. "Open road... or near the compound, I am sure. I could race around Genosha, as well." The man decides. "Open sea might be best, so as to not disturb any buildings." The man thinks.

A smile. "Just a higher form of spandex. I imagine that part of my resistance to friction applies to the suit. Closer to my skin, the better - so..." He shrugs.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
The spin makes Micola laugh, something exceedingly happy as her feet keep up so she doesn't trip him or herself. She gives him a bright smile, her golden gaze sparkling for a moment as she sways with the music. "Might just have to work on it. You're still pretty young and I'm guessing powers might expand with age as well as practice." she nods to this. "That also isn't a bad idea. I'm a fan of the ocean, just sad I can't walk on it." she chuckles.

She listens to what his suit is made of and there's a nod to him, "I'll have to keep that in mind." she tells him. "Do you know how to dance?" she asks him. "I know that's a random question." she adds with a chuckle.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro matches her smile. "Oh trust me, I am working on it." He chuckles. "I don't like losing." The man responds, with a nod. "We can get a boat for you to watch, if you like?" He suggests. "I know a couple that won't be too affected by the sonic booms." He laughs.

He pauses, nodding. "I do. I enjoy music a great deal. I have read all about various dances, and seen many tutorials." The man explains with a chuckle. "And it is not a random question, when getting to know another person. Do you dance?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I'm excited to see your progress on things. I think it'll be fun getting to break that ceiling." Micola tells him. "You don't like losing, hmm?" she gives a look to him. Making notes! "I can just see me out on a rowboat." she giggles. "But we'll figure it out I'm sure." she tells him.

She gives a smile when he tells her he knows how to dance. "You're going to laugh, but my mom put me in all kinds of dance classes when I was little. I enjoyed ballet and things, but...never was really good, you know?" she admits. "My grandpa said I should try ballroom dancing, like waltzes and stuff and I really got the hang of that. Though I stuck out in classes." she muses. "But yes, I dance when no one else is in the shop looking." she winks.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There's a hearty laugh. "No, not a rowboat. I would not do that to you." He assures. "A large boat. Science vessel or frieghter. One able to take bumps and such of big waves." The man smiles. "And not in regards to speed, no." He clarifies. "Other things, I am not so sore about. I tend to take pride in how fast I am on my feet."

A grin. "Dance if it brings you joy. Waltzes are beautiful when done properly. Courtly music is wonderful - I love the classics. Mozart and Beethoven..."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I...have never been on a boat come to think of it." Micola tells him as she looks over to him. "Or at least one that went all the way out to open ocean. When I went to Greece my grandfather had his anchored in the harbor, but didn't go out." she states. "I'm not challenging you to a foot race, I've already crossed that off my list." she grins at that.

She gives a look over to him as he talks on dancing, "Alright so when I close up the shop one night you'll have to come and we can turn on some music and we'll have a waltz?" she offers to him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro gives her a smile as they continue on their skate around the rink. "For the most part, I can say the same. Sitting on a boat for too long would likely drive me mad - thankfully I could run off the edge if needed." He winks to her. "And I appreciate the non-challenge... I think you would best me at any sort of artistic endeavors, so I shall pass on challenge you to those."

"I think that could be arranged, yes. I don't know that I will be dressed in Victorian or Elizabethen era garb, though." He teases.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives him a grin as he talks on sitting in a boat for too long, "There is that added benefit that you can run away very fast if there are unwanted situations." she tells him. "I tend not to challenge folks. I look very bad with egg on my face I can already tell you." she muses to that.

There's a look over to him, her eyes sparkling with mischief for a moment, "You could always just toss on a blanket if you wanted to get all fancy, Pietro." she teases him. "I don't think you need to be dressed in period clothing to evoke the same elegance." she points out.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There's a chuckle from Pietro, the man nodding. "Competition can be fun, if done with good intentions. It's when we focus solely on winning, that we lose sight of the fun." The man muses as they wheel along. "Yes, I am more than pleased to run over water. It's ... an experience."

"Just a blanket?" He snickers. "Did you have one in mind?" The man teases back. "And thank you - I think you have your own elegance that you carry. It is unique."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I agree with that, yes." Micola tells him with a smile. "I've never really been focused on winning, I just want to be able to keep my neck above water in some things." she states with a bit of a chuckle. "Have you ever seen a shark out in the ocean? I'm guessing you have...but I'm curious of it." she asks him.

"I mean, there is a blanket in my closet with your name on it." she winks at him. Then there is a blush, "Long legs help with the elegant look." she teases him. "But thank you, I'm glad you think I have some elegance." she tells him as she bumps her hip against his gently.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"Sharks? Briefly. I usually move past them too fast for them to really register what is happening. Same with Orcas." He murmurs. "Likely for the best, honestly." A smile from the white-haired man. "Giving your best in such things is the proper way to do things. Never give up." Pietro muses.

His eyebrow arches. "It has my name on it now? Was it recently monogramed or embroidered?" He grins, looking over to her as she bumps to him. "And I know you have elegance. You carry yourself very well."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a grin, "I like a lot of marine creatures. Great whites and orcas rank up there." she admits. "But yeah, Orca's might tail slap and others might react weirdly to the speed." she explains. "I rarely give up. Ask any of the ghosts that hang around." she muses to that.

There is a blink, followed by a smile, "It's just...no, since you were using it as a toga I've not used it. Sometimes people use the expression 'has your name on it' when something seems like something the person would use or like." she tells him. There's a soft smile to him, "Are you having fun?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
She's nudged, hip to hip. "They are impressive animals - quite the amazing predators. If they had more options to be amphibious, we'd all be doomed." He smiles. "I imagine Atlantis has plenty of dealings with them - though I am uncertain as to how deep they go."

teasig grin to her. "I am flattered." He smirks. "I did like it, I do." Pietro chuckles. "But don't just... not use it." He laughs. "I'd hate to deprive you of a blanket." A thought and a smile as he nods. "I am having plenty of fun. It helps... the motion."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"Land sharks, very terrifying things." Micola comments with a nod to that. "Though there is a breed of shark that will walk from tide pool to tide pool, their fins act like little feet." she grins to that. "Thankfully they aren't that big." she adds. "I'm not sure how far they can go either. I watch a lot of shark week and shark fest...but I'm not an expert." she admits.

"Well, if I went home and curled up in it I wouldn't want to be weird." she chuckles. She'd contemplated it, but...yeah. Though his comment of the motion helping makes her look thoughtful, "I figured it would be good to keep you moving as opposed to going to the movies or something." she nods. "And obviously let me know if you want to take a break or get food." she grins to him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The music changes, a more upbeat tempo begins playing. Dance music! The speedster moves a bit faster, hand holding hers. "That's... interesting. I'll have to look those up. I wonder if there is a documentary on them?" He muses. "Ready to go a little faster?" Pietro waggles his brows.

"Would that be something you'd want to do? I don't necessarily see it as weird." He wonders, moving with the woman a bit faster - faster than the others. He moves them confidently, weaving in and out of the other people skating. Exhilerating!

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola trusts Pietro and his speed change, because he'd done this before and she wasn't one to doubt skill. "I think they are part of a documentary. I like thinking that their fins make the little 'tinkle tinkle tinkle' sound like in the old cartoons when people were sneaking." she laughs. "I'm up for going faster, yes." she tells him as she gives his hand a little squeeze.

When he asks her about curling up in the blanket there is a nod of her head, "Yeah. I'd like to do it. There's something about scents and things. It's comforting." she explains. "Like when girlfriends steal their boyfriends hoodies or shirts. It's not because we're cold...it's because we like to have something that was worn by the other half and things." she chuckles. The new speed is something she's fond of, giving a little laugh, "We'll have to do this more."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Fast for the skating rink, for certain. The pair lap the others, though not in a way to endanger anyone else. "I will need to look into that documentary, then. That sounds very interesting." Pietro grins as they slip in and out of the crowd. Her hand is kept to his, tight and secure.

"I don't think I am stopping you from doing so - I wouldn't think it weird. People appreciate scent more than we often realize." The man muses. "I wouldn't mind something that you've been wrapped up in." He admits, sheepishly. "And yes, more of this."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I think you'll like it. It's got a lot of information and there is humor as well." Micola tells him with a smile. The speed makes a few others look, but hey, it was fun! "I am totally using the blanket for curl up and self care nights from now on." she tells him with a big smile.

When he says he'd like to have something she's been wrapped up in there's a warm smile, "I think we can make that happen." she nods to this. "So activities that involve a lot of movement seem like the good go to for us, I think that's a good thing to discover early." she smiles.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"Perhaps thrill rides might work too..." He smiles, slowing the pair down to a more reasonably achieved speed. Thankfully, no damage to the skates or flooring! "Self care nights. I need to look into those." He smirks. "I don't necessarily have those in my life."

"Yes, motion or active things." He admits. "I will, of course, slow things down too for you. I do not want you to run yourself ragged for me, Micola." Pietro comments. "And thank you for thinking of this activity - it has been excellent."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"Ooooh, like roller coasters and things?" Micola asks. "The theme parks will be opening soon. We could get you on some of those." she points out with a grin. "I have a small fear of heights, but I can muddle through it without issue." she adds with a chuckle. There is a little tch, "You should absolutely take a night to yourself just to destress and clear your head." she tells him in a gentle manner.

She gives a warm smile to him, "I don't think you will have to worry about running me ragged, I manage that quite well on my own." she teases him gently. "I'm glad you liked it. We can do this over at Brighton as well if you'd like to avoid crowds and things as it gets warmer. Skate rinks tend to be popular when kids are out of school." she admits.
