It was just one more painting!
Date of Scene: 10 April 2020
Location: Rubin Museum of Art
Synopsis: Bandits try to make a score out of Rubin's museum of art. With teamwork between Superboy, Ant-man and Quiver the day is won. The only apparent victim was pizza.
Cast of Characters: Oliver Queen, Vanessa Carlysle, Conner Kent, Heather Danielson, Scott Lang

Oliver Queen has posed:
It was just another day for Reuben, the security officer that does the rounds out here at the Museum of Art. Getting old with so many years of service dedicated to serving he already knew his routine by heart. Go through the Tibetan exhibit, turn right towards the Indian one .... a smile and a nod to a few tourists and other interested people that were out here watching the exhibits. It was a good, easy life but then ....

... A shot? Screams? He starts running over just in time to see a group of masked men starting to go through the paintings, stashing them away. Quick, professional. They spot him. He is no hero, he runs. But with purpose, towards the alarm.

"Shit. Get that guy." One of the men says. They pursue him, catching him just as he punches in that alarm, letting authorities know something isn't right. Knocked on the head Reuben falls.

"Crap, are you counting the time? We will need to get out of here ASAP." "Relax." another says. "We got time..."

As it turns out they didn't have a lot, because they may be professionals yet greed spoke higher, they just wanted one more painting to steal. And so they are now stranded inside. Unknown number of hostages but already letting their demands be known.

An escape route, an helicopter. And no cops in sight!

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa Carlysle is in town, having gone to oversee packing a few more things from her apartment and sending them off to where she's staying now. She's actually driving herself this time, the security men who came with her having helped packed, and in the accompanying vehicle.

The scanner in the SUV comes on with police chatter about the robbery going on at the museum. "Darn it. If only I had a bow and a costume in here," she says, and as her mind goes down that train of thought, she realizes Oliver does have a gear back in the SUV. It takes Vanessa all of a few moments thought to turn off, leaving the SUV full of her security detail to carry on towards Starling City, until such time as they notice she isn't following anymore.

She arrives near the museum, parking a few blocks away and then getting at the gear bag. The Green Arrow costume obviously won't fit, but there mask will work. "Oh, and a hoodie," she says, pulling it on and pulling up the hood as she dons the mask. A quiver of arrows goes on her back and she grabs the collapsing bow and makes her way near to the museum.

Conner Kent has posed:
It was a lazy Friday, and Conner finished classes early. There are plans for the evening, but he had an hour to kill and decided to do a flying patrol over New York, like he does two or three times a week. New York has so many super-heroes he rarely finds anything important to do. But it looks today is going to be an exception.

Police outside, an alarm sounding, he goes there and lands close to the police cruisers. "Hello, agents. What is going on in the museum?" He says as greeting.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Shit. That's the best way to explain things. Museums are sites for many charity events. One such event had Heather here ahead of time to prepare for said event. She found herself basically speaking with one of the curators about their planned event for the evening. She was in her street clothing, having been planning to change for the event.
She is merely one of the minor-celebrities who were putting some of their celeb-weight behind the fundraising for Child Leukemia. But when the alarm sounds, she looks up and asks, "Where is that coming from?"
Fun fact, one of her celeb status things is that she was on camera when she manifested super powers. So it's not exactly an unknown detail about her.
So, the curator points in the general direction even as Heather suggests, "I think you might want to start an evacuation at present." even as she turns to start heading in the direction indicated.

Scott Lang has posed:
The Police scanner says there's hostages! Thieves! Heroism needed! Well, maybe there's something he can do.

Unfortunately, Scott Lang wasn't on the doorstep or inside, and there's some time for suiting up, and travel that's required before he's effective. He was training, so the suit part was covered, but travel? That's not necessarily immediate, but he's on the way...

Oliver Queen has posed:
The alarm was blaring not too far from where Heather was, and then there's more sound of shots, up to the air. "Alright, people. Gather up and sit nice and easy." one of the masked men says, "And no heroes or we start shootin'.." and indeed there are a few panicky people, some screams. Some of the men using the butts of their guns to put people down, but many are starting to flock and listen. "Now get those pieces into the bags boys. The police are so slow here that we can take a few more." a laugh. In the meantime, poor Reuben is unconscious on the floor, one of the men just stepping away from him.

Yet the police aren't that slow in responding, and already the sirens heard up. Hostage situation on the police scanner. Multiple assailants. They set up the perimeter around the place, which makes those demands be given out.

As demands are being traded, and someone flying drops in one of the officers looks up. "Err, hello." he squints his eyes, not exactly recognizing the young man but then says. "Hostage situation inside. Listening to the demands now. Uh, but who are you?" He asks.

The front of the museum is now close, doors barred, the windows have the curtains pulled so there is very limited vision to the inside of the place.

Heather Danielson has posed:
And her quest to find out what is going on puts Heather in the gunsights of one of the hostage takers. The fact that there are other hostages makes Heather think quickly. Rather than attacking, she lifts her hands and plays the helpless victim.
That was a bit ago. But now she sits with the others, pretending to be as scared as they are. Let's face it. She doesn't need to pretend very hard. She is terrified that these bystanders will be hurt or worse. What she -is- doing, is paying close attention to what is going on, listening for any snippets of info and waiting for the right opportunity to kick someone's daddybags up between his ears.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa sees the police cars setting up the cordon outside. "Probably not going to let girl in a hoodie with a bow past," she says to herself. "What would Green Arrow do?" She recalls him leaving the skyscraper via an arrow with a cable on it, and realizes how much she knows about the payloads of the arrows in the quiver.

"Right," the masked woman says as she looks for a tall building adjacent to the museum and heads for it. She takes the elevator up to the top floor, then finds a way up to the roof. Going over to the edge, she pulls out an appropriate arrow, secures the cable coming out of it to part of the roof and then shoots it over to the museum.

"I must be out of mind," she says to herself as she hooks the bow over the line. Now that she's thinking about it, she has memories of doing this a hundred times. Oliver's memories. "None of them involve a plummet to his death either," she tells herself, taking a deep breath and then sliding down the wire and onto the roof of the museum. With the alarm already going, she doesn't worry about opening a roof access that would have tripped the alarm anyway, and climbs down a ladder into the building.

Conner Kent has posed:
Ouch. Ego blow for Conner. He blinks at the cop and points his thumb to the big red S on his chest. "Who...? I am Superboy!" He glances at the museum as the doors are closed with a slam. "I am going to get closer and check how many of them are there," he comments, flying up without waiting for an approval and landing at the side of the door.

Then he tries to focus his enhanced senses in hearing what is going on inside, as he touches the wall and spreads his Tacticle Telekinesis to do rough scanning of what and who there is inside. Not as good as X-ray vision, but still a nice trick to 'see' past walls.

Scott Lang has posed:
Finally, Ant-Man makes his arrival in the group of policemen, sizing up among their ranks. He did entirely miss Superboy, though. "Ahem, well, hello, New York's Finest," Scott begins, in his Most Official Avenger tone.

The cops probably have no idea who he is /either/, though. But that's not an ego blow or a surprise. He's not Captain America. Or even Hawkeye.

"Avenger. Ant-Man. Here to help, what's the situation? ...Hostage negotiation?" Ant-Man asks, uncomfortably. Talking to the cops isn't at all his preference. Where's another Avenger when he could use one? But no problem. He's an Avenger too. This should work out.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Within they have began walking around with a bag, 'asking' people to put their phones in so there's no contact to the outside, one of the masked men doing it while the leader remains in the middle of the room, with a phone and talking with the police.

"Yes, an helicopter. Full tank. And we will be taking a few hostages with us so no funny business."

"Uh, boss. Some guy just landed outside." "Landed?" "Yea, shit. Think it's some hero..." "Hell..!" Some of the hostages seem to become more heartened. Heroes involved! Maybe the nightmare will be over soon.

Both Heather and Conner when he does his telekinesis can know there are a total of 30 people inside, and while Conner can detect a number of twenty weapons within Heather knows there are ten assailants within. Professional looking, they know what they are doing. Tough. But do they have experience with heroes? Most likely not considering how nervous they seem to get.

"Erm, hello...?" the police officer says to Ant-Man. He eyes the man dressed in a suit. Another hero? Good to him. "Yes, asking for an helicopter. We don't know how many are inside but..., there's one of you there already." he points to where Superboy is.

As for Vanessa, she is indeed able to find a way through the roof, the emergency ladder giving way into the place, which also makes her hear the sounds of the men below her, now being in the area where the museum normally stashes some art for later exhibiting it. Many are in crates.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Rolling her eyes, Heather mutters, "Smooth. Advertise your presence hero..." mostly to herself under her breath. She is still thinking tactically and sizing things up. She gives up her phone when asked to because.. the longer she cooperates, the longer they think she's just one of the victims. Sure, a pretty one, but in the comics, isn't every woman pretty?
Either way, she speaks up then, "Please, forgive the interruption but... do you think some of us could take turns using the restroom? Mom always said to go before you get in a vehicle." she adds, affecting it as using bad humor to cover for crippling fear. But mostly just trying to make the criminals focus on her, so that if the heroes do anything violent, the first person shot will be her and not some actual victim.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa Carlysle sneaks down the ladder, surprised at how easily it is to move quietly. She reaches the floor in the storage area, glancing at the various crates that hold she doesn't even know what. Or maybe she does, some of them are labeled. And as she reads that one holds "Christ in the Desert" she realizes she knows the artist is Satish Gujral. "Seriously Oliver," she mutters to herself. "How do you know this stuff!?"

She shakes her head and moves stealthily over to the door that exits the area. She cracks it open, listening to the armed men and looking out towards the main exhibit areas where they are as best as she can from her vantage point. She finds herself noting their voices and accents, building up a count of them. More borrowed skills at play.

Conner Kent has posed:
Funny thing is Conner can hear Heather. He can hear everything inside, even some heartbeats, so he knows the armed people are getting nervous. And that they saw him. Hmm, they have spotters? He finds that one, too. He talks to his boss. Okay, focus on boss.

He speeds back to the police. "Okay guys, there are ten armed guys inside with about twenty hostages. They have a spotter by that window and... hey, are you Ant-Man?"

He spotted Scott. Also, although Robin keeps him up to date on almost all the heroes, he is not an Avenger fan. For reasons. (Totally unreasonable ones).

Scott Lang has posed:
"/I'd/ like a helicopter," Ant-Man observes thoughtfully, but then orients back to the leading policeman that gave him the information. A thumbs up is added. "Stall, okay? Also, here, umm. Communicator. Then we can chat; I'll get a view from inside for you, find out if there's wounded. We'll want ambulances, maybe behind that building," offers Ant-Man. He doesn't really know what he's doing, but this seems reasonable, doesn't it?

"I... yes. That is me. Hello," Ant-Man did not expect Superboy to suddenly speed over. Speeders are disconcerting! If Superboy wants one of the temporary communicators too, that's fine. "I'm going in. I'll stick with hostages to protect them; if a helicopter comes I'll make sure it doesn't lift off after it lands. You do you? Bad guys? Okay then. Good? Good." Sure.

Ant-Man 'vanishes,' in that he adjusts size down again, hitching a ride with a flying buddy he brought along, and stealthily heads into the building, going to the roof first. Which means there's another person there, and he easily falls in behind the hero talking to herself.

"Hey: don't freak out. I'm not your conscience, but I am near your shoulder---"

Oliver Queen has posed:
The police officer takes the communicator. "Alright, will do. And thank you guys for the help." a nod is given. He moves over to start giving instructions about the info they got. Ten armed men, the hostages. Well damn, this is getting dire... But stall they do.. Also, curiously enough, both Superboy and Ant-Man can see an extended cable above when they look around, stuck with an arrow to the wall. Is an hero already inside? Seems like it!

As for inside the leader is getting mouthy into the phone. "No, damn you. <string of rather colorful curses> I said I want a chopper. Not gonna let hostages come out yet. You crazy? It's simple, an helicopter, we go away, noone gets hurt." and he turns the phone off. "You five, start getting the pieces ready. You two keep watch on the hostages. And the two of you continue watching outside." he says with an authoritative voice.

The men start doing that, well trained. The five setting their rifles aside and starting to move stuff around.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The physical skills come to Vanessa much more easily than the tactical ones. Though the less she thinks about it, the more instinct seems to be taking over. Not her instincts, but still, instincts.

The woman in the hoodie and the domino mask is just considering when the best moment is to make a move on the men, when she hears that voice. She turns and looks, behind her at first, for a regular size person, before finally she happens to spot Ant-man.

"Oh-" she starts to say in a somewhat normal voice before cringing and lowering it. "Oh my god, you're Ant-man," she says. "Like the real one. Are you here to save the hostages?" she asks. "I can try to help," she says, hefting her bow in a meaningful way.

Conner Kent has posed:
Fancy Avenger communicator. Ugh. "Okay, sure," mutter Conner reluctantly. Then Ant-Man does his vanishing act, which is not so vanishing for Conner, who has some of that Kryptonian microscopic vision. He rides a winged ant? He has to admit that is pretty cool in a creepy insect-ish way.

Then he listens some more, and snickers. "You, Ant-guy," he says to the communicator. "The leader of the gang put just two guys to watch the hostages. If you can take those out, or even distract them some, I can burst in and take care of the rest in two seconds."

Scott Lang has posed:
Ant-Man isn't steady in the air, his ant mount is circling a little bit around the vicinity of Vanessa's shoulder. He's still not difficult to see, when someone is looking for him. "I... yes, here to help," Ant-Man says awkwardly, but his tone is bright and cheerful, as he answers Vanessa. And then he gets critical information from Superboy. "Yes, you and I can save some hostages. Superboy's here too, we can work together: so let's focus on those with the Hostages, and let him take out the groups of thieves."

Then, to Superboy, though Vanessa can hear him too: "Sounds perfect, Superboy. Which floor are the hostages on? We're on the way. I'll signal when we're ready. I'm here with....?" Ant-Man waits promptingly for Vanessa to share.

Oliver Queen has posed:
The men continue on their work, getting bags ready, a crate with valuable pieces. One of the guys then says to the others. "You know, I hear they have some good pieces stashed up there." "The boss said we should stay here..." "One more piece, man. They are valuable. Besides the other guys are handling it .." "Fine.." the other grumps. The duo begins making their way to the stairs to ascend to the second floor to get a few more pieces, even if still quite unaware that Vanessa and Ant-Man are there. Though they can hear their footsteps coming up.

"The christ in the desert. I am tellin' you. They have it here..." their mumbled voices heard. Not too far.

Meanwhile the rest continue on, getting ready. The leader picks up another call. "Yea, this better be good.." he says to the negotiator. As for the spotters, they don't seem to have sight of Conner just yet. But he's also been able to detect what's going on.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The masked woman nods at the information from Ant-man, seeming more than ready to yield to the suggestions of an Avengers. She is probably sure he's used to leading and directing such moments. "Ok, focus on the hostages," the woman agrees as she pulls an arrow out of the quiver and knocks it into the bow.

At the questioning statement as to her identity, Vanessa pauses, at a total loss for what to say. "Quiver," she blurts out quietly after a moment, just trying to think of something archer-like.

"Wait, I hear some coming," she whispers as the men's talk reaches her ears. She motions towards one of the crates. "They are coming for that one," she says. "Ambush them when they come through the door?" She backs away to hide behind a create where she'll be out of sight. She has an arrow with a heavy, blunt tip good for knocking someone out ready.

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner is not sure what to do now. The thieves have people looking at him, so he needs to stay in place for a second. What would Robin do? Wait, maybe he can text him and ask.

Ten second later he still has no response. Man, Bat-people should be quicker responding. However, he can hear what 'Quiver' and Ant-Man are saying on the communicator. Uh oh. "Looks like they are about to hit some thieves," he notes to the cops. "But not the hostage-watchers. It could get messy."

Scott Lang has posed:
"Quiver?... Okay," No judgement from the guy named Ant-Man. Not today. Just whispers. "Please don't shoot me, Quiver. Take whoever's in front; I'll serve him up and head to the hostages - follow when you can."

Ant-Man moves up above the door, his ant landing on a bit of the upper molding, and then buzzes down into the upper ceiling of the hallway, prepared to drop off his ant as soon as they come up.

He'll time his attack to follow directly after Vanessa's target's in what he hopes is her view, with a surge of swift action. He'll drop behind the guy, and then twist with a size-shift to hurl him forwards into his buddy with an attempted combination knockout at the back of his head, trusting the archer to act at the same time to prevent any alarm from the man in front! He'll trust she's okay: he has to rejoin his ant and get his butt to the hostages before the ambush is noticed....

Oliver Queen has posed:
The two men wander in the room, a brief look about and then one points. "Here..." and indeed they walk to that fabled child of the desert name stamped on the crate. Which is when Ant-man makes his move, dropping the guy and thrusting him forward against the other. They truly weren't expecting company up here. "What the ..." but they are stumbling forward, one already dropping unconscious while the other is just about close to where Vanessa is. Ripe for the taking so to say!

As for downstairs.., the leader continues on talking. Apparently the communicators did take to heart the mention about stalling. And they are masters of it. "Pizza for the hostages...? Why not..?" he frowns. "I don't want any of you guys delivering them. As long as it's a pizza boy it's fine with me.." though what kinda pizza boy would be brave enough to go deliver pizzas to an hostage situation?!

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa, or Quiver, draws the arrow and looses the moment it's drawn, knowing just how much force to put on the shot to knock the man out without likely damaging him more seriously. The arrow flies through the air and knocks him right on the temple.

She's already up then, moving forward quietly. No super hero outfit, just jeans and a dark green hoodie plus the mask, as she peeks out into the hallway and then sneaks out, moving towards the room where the two men are guarding the hostages. "Can you go in first and when you make your move I'll take the one you don't," she whispers towards Ant-man, another arrow knocked and ready.

Conner Kent has posed:
"Man, I could use a pizza now," comments Superboy, looking bored and listening to the conversation of the negotiator. "Or maybe I could sneak through a side-door?" But if he is there then the thieves might think the hero is outside, keep looking at him, and Ant-Man and his friend can save the hostage.

Waiting sucks. "Hey, if you need someone to deliver the pizza..." he says to the closest police agent.

Scott Lang has posed:
"Yep!" Cheerful, as if this were fine and he wasn't stressed out over the possibility of hostages being shot all over the place if they mess this up, Ant-Man heads in, stealthy and tiny, headed to survey the room of hostages, and determine the most dangerous of the men there. But then, well. They're together, guns on the hostages... so the plan changes.

There's a big flat metal sign giving all sorts of information about the displays in the area where the hostages are sitting on the foor. Scott goes after the sign, not the men. He preps a Pym Disc, size boosting.

In a burst he drops from Antonia's back, kicks the sign, and tosses the Disc directly at the back of it.

Abruptly a MASSIVE metal sign is careening over the hostages, to shove the men fully away, and entirely barricade access to the hostages. Quiver is probably cut off too, but he probably distracted the men a lot. "Oh; we're ready," Scott adds into the communicator. Whoops. "Stay down, in cover, everybody!" Ant-Man warns the hostages.

Oliver Queen has posed:
See, it's long known by hostage negotiators that pizza is allwaaaays needed. Specially when they know a negotiation may take a while. And considering there's a pizza joint next door they got a few ready to bring over by now. One of the officers looks at Superboy when he proposes that, eyes lighting up. "I like what you are thinking ..." they give him a cap and jacket for the joint, pizzas in hand. "Go ahead. We trust you guys know what you are doing. If you get an opening let us know."

The officer then sends a message through the comms that Ant-Man had given them. "Sending Superboy in through the front door with pizzas." this first part having been given over just before all hell breaks loose and that sign gets inflated up and keeping the hostages.

Which pretty much seems to signal it's go time. Some hostages scream, others retreat to a wall. But what's true is that the hostages are fully cut out from the rest of the men. Some shoot towards the large sign. But it's way too big for their weapons to pierce. At least for now, though if they go full out there may be some danger..

"Shit! Grab your weapons boys! Shoot everyone!" The leader brings out a large pistol while the three that were left carrying stuff start running to the counter where they left their guns.

As for the two that were serving as lookouts... Those poor things get tossed out the windows with the impact, now on the ground outside.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Quiver wasn't expecting anything that happened with the sign, so there's a half second delay, but then she's remembering what she's supposed to be doing. The blunt arrow she already has knocked goes flying into the head of one the men.

She rolls forward into the room, an arrow retrieved from the quiver and knocked in mid-roll so she comes up firing. This one strikes the second guard and emits a mass of sticky material which just engulfs him and binds his arms to his sides. The masked woman darts forward and follows up with a smack from the hard bow to the man's head to down him before he can make any noise. Though the hostages themselves are being noisy enough, that it's likely the others will know what's going on. But now, four of the men are down.

Conner Kent has posed:
Meanwhile Superboy has pizza. All is fine in the world...

And some jerks start shooting. Ah well. He just flies through the window closer to the bad guy's boss. "Pizza is here! I mean: punch pizza! Drop your weapons or get a taste!" He loses his cap halfway, but otherwise... he is Super-delivery-Boy.

You better tip well.

Scott Lang has posed:
"Team, uhh -- Avengers /and Friends/ here, everybody," Ant-Man addresses the hostages, trying to be friendly and comforting with the right touch of serious urgency. Normally he's not the one talking to groups of people. Or getting his picture taken. Or anything.

"We're evacuating you RIGHT NOW, okay? You six, take the emergency stairs. Right there," Ant-Man directs, trying to get the hostages sorted out without a panic: hopefully. He also switches to the communicator he gave to the police, describing where the people will be coming out, to request cover and backup as he sends the groups down. "And you guys next. Help the nice lady---" Nobody is helping the old lady. Scott hedges, then rushes to her, helping the grandma and her two daughters towards the stairs himself, before another hostage gives him a hand with her.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Those three poor men were simply trying to get to their weapons when they get knocked out quickly by Quiver. Done and done! And now there's only really left the leader and the other two guys. They blessedly do not notice Quiver because hey, Superboy just flies in. There is a mix of panic and rage in the men, specially on the leader, which starts shooting in his direction. Perhaps he didn't hear the memo about bulletproof superheroes. Doesn't mean he won't try.

One of the guys throws his weapon down and drops to the ground while the other also levels his weapon up in Superboy's direction.

The hostages follow Ant-Man's indications, beginning on their way out. The old grandma seems afraid, but still does a little patting on Scott's hand on the way out. "Good work, m'boy." she says, then gets on going with the rest of the hostages. The police officer takes in the indications and starts directing the officers to both advance on the scene and to help the hostages out through that side door.

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner half-hoped the leader was a real super-villain. Maybe Scorpion, or Doctor Octopus. Someone cool. Instead he is just a thug with a gun. He rolls his eyes, taking the bullets, hands on hips (he saw a picture of Superman doing that long ago - Jimmy Oldson or something took it).

"Hey idiots, I am bulletproof, see?" He lets them see it. He lets 'Quiver' shoot an arrow or three, too. Then he rushes forward and attempts to tap whoever thug is still on foot hard enough to stun them out a few seconds.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa stays with the hostages to cover them, arrow knocked though it sounds like from the gunfire they are dealing with someone else. Ant-man having given her an indication of who that is, she stays with the hostages, ushering them out through the hallways towards an exit that will take them to safety.

"That's a pretty handy power," Vanessa says towards Ant-man of what he did with the sign. "Where are you when we're ordering pizza for a group? Could just get a mini and feed a few dozen," she quips.

Scott Lang has posed:
"I get invited to a surprisingly low number of pizza parties," Ant-Man chuckles back, rueful, lifting his hands in a shrug. Well, the ones that aren't busy, he's now helping a child move since the parent with the two children can only carry one down the stairs. "Check for any strays?" Ant-Man asks of Quiver, before heading down with the bulk of the hostages himself, speeding along the exodus.

Oliver Queen has posed:
They do shoot until their weapons are empty but then when they are starting to run off it's when they get knocked out by Superboy's strength, which sends them sprawling and stuns them for a time. Just enough for the police to start getting in. "NYPD. Stay down!" the lead officer says, the rest of the officers rushing over to start cuffing and aprehending the would-be bandits.

The only strays were apparently the ones that were tossed outside. But those have been handily taken care of already by the officers as well.

And with the hostages out seems to be turning back to normality. Or well, as normal as they can be with a few windows broken and this GIANT sign still inside the main room. None of the pieces seem to have been too damaged though, thankfully!

"God damn heroes always meddlin' where they don't belong ..." He mutters while being dragged out by a couple of officers.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The woman in the fairly normal clothes, plus quiver, bow and mask, gets the hostages out with Ant-man's help. She makes a last pass through, making sure none are left behind, as Ant-man asked. Afterwards she looks about, deciding how best to make her escape, not sure how the police are going to behave towards her. A vigilante, but not one that they are familiar with.

She looks back to Ant-man. "Thanks for the help. This was... exhilarating," she tells him. "I should probably make myself scarce now." She looks towards the room where Superboy was, wanting to get a sight of him at least before departing.

Conner Kent has posed:
"We can have a pizza party," points out Conner, going back for the pizzas, "at the end no one got hurt." Maybe they can give a slice to each ex-hostage and cop. He also gives one to Ant-Man along with his communicator. "I guess you are okay, for an Avenger," he pipes. "Hey, where went the cute girl with the bow. Damn, she did a Batman on us?" Okay, fine. He will have her pizza slice. Happy ending.

Scott Lang has posed:
"No problem; don't be a stranger, Quiver!" Ant-Man says, friendly, and adds another thumbs up at Quiver encouragingly. He's not Captain America, but he can still boost morale and stuff for new heroes, right? Or at least try.

"Pizza? I'm in, but I gotta..." He gestures at the hostages and police and stuff. "And ... thanks? I think. Um, she did rush off. Vigilante life, am I right?" Ha ha?

Ant-Man checks in with the Hostages, removing his helmet finally, to answer whatever questions he needs to: representing his team well, hopefully!
