Cast of Characters: Vanessa Carlysle, Oliver Queen

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
As soon as Vanessa is clear of the hostage situation at the museum, she calls the security men to let them know she's ok, and arrange a spot to meet up. They drive to the HyperLoop, where two take the vehicles back and the rest take the super fast train down to Starling City.

Another SUV ride later and Vanessa is back at the mansion. She hurries inside, taking the steps two at a time. Once inside she heads up to Oliver's bedroom, looking for him. She reaches the doorway and gives a little knock as she steps inside. "You'll never guess what I did," she tells him.

Oliver Queen has posed:
It's a good thing that Diggle wasn't there on that trip. The savvy bodyguard would had certainly noticed something amiss during that breakaway. But since it was just the new guys they just took Vanessa out to the Loop and off, just a normal trip out to Manhattan. Nothing to see here... Or so they think.

Oliver is up on his room, sitting by his work table, on a laptop and catching up on some work from Queen Consolidated. The news of Superman being alive, and then trying to set up a meeting with the rest of the JL had taken his responsibilities a bit away. But right now here he was.

<<Breaking news: Assault to Rubin's museum of Art averted in downtown Manhattan!!!" Manhattan, that's close to where Vanessa was. Ah, what would be the odds.. he flips those news out of the screen and continues on his work.

Until he hears those steps, quick and making way towards the room. He lifts a brow, then those words. "Won't I?" he asks back but then he smiles. "You came back early. Thought you were only bound to return tomorrow." he gestures her closer, also in invitation for her to tell him what's going on.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa moves over to Oliver, wrapping her arms about him and hugging his head to her body from where he's sitting. She lets him go then and moves over to take a seat nearby. "Well, there was this hostage situation at the Rubin," she tells Oliver.

"And I was pretty close by. And I realized you keep an emergency equipment pack in those SUVs," she says. He can probably already see where it's going. "So I grabbed a hoodie, and a mask. And bow and arrows, and... well, I went to help out," she says. "Ant-man was there, and Superboy. We rescued the hostages. I took out three different men with guns," she tells him. "Two with knockout arrows, and one with the sticky one to wrap him up," she says. Her eyes are rather excited just in retelling it. She's had time to come down from the adrenaline long ago, but now a little is revived.

Oliver Queen has posed:
"Is that so?" Oliver says of the hostage situation at the Rubin, bit of a poker face, but his tone is that type that Vanessa has figured out by now that he knows more than he is letting out. He likes doing that sometimes. How much more does he know though?!

But he certainly accepts that warm hug about his head, his smile appearing and he reaching out, curling one arm about her and squeezing gently. He listens in silence. Ok, he wasn't exactly expecting -that- to had happened.

His eyes roam over her body, as if searching for any injury, in that protective manner that he can't help himself having, no matter that he knows how good she is with a bow right now. He gets up to his feet. "Were you hurt?" he then asks. He seems to still be processing all that went down.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa gives a quick shake of her head. Indeed, she looks like she just had a quick jaunt up to the city is all. "No, in fact they even saw me, the bad guys," she tells him. "Just Ant-man did actually. I slid down to the roof from another building, rather than go through the police. Didn't know if they'd let me in," she says.

She reaches over to slide her hand into Oliver's. "I'm fine. And saved a lot of people from the gunmen," she says. "I know, it's your thing, not mine, but... well, I had the abilities and I thought, maybe I could make a difference. And if something happened to them and I didn't try... well, I didn't want to live with that, you know?"

Oliver Queen has posed:
"With those kind of large museums it's always a given there will always be a side door or entrance that isn't guarded." Oliver says, as if in sync with what she did, because it is what he'd most likely do as well. "Did Ant-Man see your face?" he then asks, not that he doesn't trust the avengers, but can never be too careful.

Fingers then wrap around Vanessa's, a nod. Perhaps he should get used about her doing this and not worry too much, but not just yet. "It's as I told you when Kal was here...." he states, his smile warming and he reaching over to place a kiss on her forehead, in acceptance to what went down. " ....I know your heart. And I knew you'd choose what it told you. That you can be a hero if you wish to be so."

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa Carlysle leans her head into the soft kiss to her forehead, smiling at Oliver at his reaction to her news. "He didn't see my face. Or, well I had your mask on, and the hood up," she tells him. "So I doubt he'd be able to recognize me," she says. "He was so teeny tiny. It was so cute," she says with a warm laugh.

She smiles and squeezes Oliver's hand. "I think maybe, I'd like to train. There were things that were there when I thought about them, but until I did, they didn't really come to me," she says. "But one I know it's there then it's always there, like once I've thought about what arrows are in the quiver, I knew how each of them worked and which was which," she tells him.

Vanessa gives a soft smile and looks down. "I never thought I could do something like that. And... I mean I realize, it's your skills, not mine. I didn't earn them. But still, if I can help people with them?"

Oliver Queen has posed:
A laugh follows when Vanessa calls Ant-Man teeny tiny, he shaking his head a bit. "Yes, he can be at that. Only saw him about a couple of times. And Superboy too. Well, you got in with some strong ones to start with. Baptism by fire, mmm?" Oliver reaches up with his free hand, brushing it over Vanessa's hair and nods slowly. In truth he had considered this already, training her. So she wouldn't have to rely on what he does. Because without knowing how her powers work he can't tell if she could just lose them in the middle of some hero'ing.

"I will train you, Vanessa. Though I will warn you I can be an harsh drillmaster." he says. And indeed, the students he has had in the past would know! "And about earning them ..." he chuckles. "... does it matter where they come from as long as we use them to do the right thing?" he muses, a firm tone to his voice.

"But we will need to take this easy, not rushing. We still need to understand how your powers work. That will need to be a priority."

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The young woman gives a nod of agreement. "Yes, if learning what I have from you is the extent of it, I'm more than happy with that. But if there's more to it, I'd like to understand it. Even just understand how and why it's happened," she says.

The beautiful smile that grows across her face is mirrored in her eyes. "Though I'm going with it's just some kind of love-based miracle. When we sell the movie rights, at least, that's what we'll go with. It'll make a cute movie," she tells him with a soft laugh, her eyes sparkling. Vanessa leans close to rest her forehead against Oliver's and just bask in his presence. "I love you," she whispers to him, reaching a hand up to brush through the hair on the side of his head. "My life is so much different. Better. In more ways than I can even count, since you came into it," she tells him.

Oliver Queen has posed:
"And we will." Oliver says, but then can't help but to laugh when Vanessa speaks about having a movie made. "Who do you think should play you though?" she grinning, his own eyes also shining under that light, the deep blue standing out. He exhales, finding comfort in that presence, the way she makes his life whole. "I love you as well, Vanessa." he whispers.

Eyes close for a few moments, re-opening to look at Vanessa's face, the way she just seems to glow. "So is mine, and only getting better by the day." he replies, reaching up to caress her cheek and then leans in for a kiss.
