Thor has posed:
There's that old saying that April showers bring May flowers, but is the day that had passed was any indication then May will be full of little else save flowers. For the whole last two days it had been raining. A steady downpour of droplets that has created small rivulets around the garden and the pathways, the patter from the rain on the drainpipes making a methodical clatter of water on aluminum.
For some people it was depressing, but for the tall man that was leaning in the open door, arms folded over his broad chest and his gaze distanced on the roiling storm clouds, it's a nice thing. One can see that on the curve of a smile upon his lips as he stands there listening to the rain, watching it, occasionally hearing a distant rumble of thunder.
At times, Thor takes a sip of beer while he watches, one rough hand lifting to push back over his wet hair. Perhaps he had been out and about in the rain, enjoying the feeling of it on his skin. But for now he seems content to just watch and listen.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer Walters is talking to someone just inside the fancy Avengers Mansion, looking out the glass door at the backyard as she's told something, maybe about Thor and his beer. Takes a real man to drink a beer in the rain. Jennifer opens the glass door and steps out onto the beaten path, looking up slowly at the clouds as some thunder rumbles overhead, closer maybe than she thought it would be. She wrinkles her nose disappointingly at the clouds and the rain as the tiny little drops plop into her green hair.

The tall, green woman walks the beaten path toward Thor, "Thor, are you seriously having a beer in the rain?" she wonders amusedly once she walks to his location, putting a hand on her hip. While she waits for an answer, she looks disappointed as she looks at the wet grass and the muck and her shoes in the muck, "Ugh, my loafers are not waterproof, you know," she mutters.

Thor has posed:
"Well," Thor says as he turns a little as he stands there in the open archway of the gazebo, giving him /some/ small shelter against the rain but occasionally the wind will pick up and send a sheet of raindrops pattering him. It's enough to lend some dark spots upon his grey hoodie and the cuffs of his tight jeans even as he remains standing there and then steps to the side.
"You are welcome to join me, Jennifer. But if you fear getting wet you could always wander back inside." Though he does make room enough for her to share the shelter with him should she so wish. Of course that doesn't really help her loafers with the small puddles that have formed around them.
He gestures with a nod to the six pack behind him and murmurs, "Help yourself if you wish something to drink. Though I fear it is not the best beer I have had."

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer Walters steps up into the wooden gazebo and squints her eyes up at the top of it, "This isn't much better--" she comments and then smirks, "Fear getting wet? I don't fear getting wet," she snap-comments. She then leans over and peers at his beer suspiciously.

"What is it, Asgard Lite?" Jennifer wonders amusedly, "I'll bring you something nicer, Thor. I defended a client for shoplifting beer one time---makes me an expert," she explains knowingly, giving a nod of her head. She then pauses a moment and straightens up, looking back at him with more seriousness, "You're okay?" she asks.

Thor has posed:
"Oh yes," The Thunderer turns back to her as she asks how he is, his smile is there, open and friendly. He reaches behind him to the table in the center of that gazebo and pulls a second beer out of it. The beer itself seems of little remark save for on the label it declares simply, 'Dos Equis' and so he pulls one from the cardboard container and offers it to her.
"Sometimes I simply like to rest and enjoy the way nature unfolds." Those words are given with a thoughtful tone, even as he takes another sip from his beer then looks over toward her. "Though it is within my power to bring forth the rain and the thunder, there is something more... genuine about experiencing it without having conjured it forth."
He smiles and looks away, "Perhaps that sounds foolish."

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer Walters takes the beer into her hand and looks at it strangely, "No no, beer and sitting outside is a great time. But then again, maybe it's just Friday," she jokes and smiles. "Well, you are the God of Thunder, after all," she says and raises the beer to him to say 'hey you're awesome'. She pops the beer with one finger and brings it up to her lips for a sip but stops suddenly as she remembers something and says, "Actually, I wish I had time for nature walks," she tells him whimsically, glancing out at the mysterious trees in the eerie Avengers Yard. She tilts her head as she considers something, perhaps a memory, perhaps something else, "I like that tree. Hmm."

Thor has posed:
The tall blond man pushes back his hoodie and undoes the small elastic that holds his hair back, shaking his head a bit to let his hair fall as it may then pockets that band. Now with a long-haired back to nature look to him, Thor grins sidelong at her and says, "Nature walks here would be rather short considering the size of our land. But..."
His head tilts away as he bites as his lower lip. "There is the park yonder, walking through it can be a fine time." He murmurs as if sharing an old memory. He then seems to remember something and looks at her with furrowed brow. "Have have you been faring, Jennifer?"
He looks back to the mansion, then back to her as he finally takes a seat, settling on the wet bench in that gazebo. Not too terribly wet, but with he wind it still has some droplets upon its surface. "When last we spoke you had been handling a difficult case. Do you recall?"

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer Walters turns her eyes yonder and pictures the mysterious, elegant Park since she can't see it through the trees, "I'm okay," she mutters as she tries looking through the trees some more.

She slides her eyes back down at Thor and tells him, "Case? Yeah, I mean," she wonders, maybe trying to think of what the heck he could be talking about. She flicks some bangs off her forehead, "There's been a string of muggings downtown recently. I think there might be a class action suit, so that could be a problem," she hmms, "Yeah, I know, it's not Avengers material, but I have to deal with it."

Thor has posed:
Looking up at her as he takes another sip of his beer, "Now 'tis my turn, Jennifer. To ask of you whether or not you are alright." The Asgardian looks at her curiously, head turning subtly to the side as he ponders the jade giantess though she does seem a little subdued.
He leans to the side and brushes a hand over the benchseat, clearing it of some of the rain drops and gesturing for her to have a seat should she so wish. "Come and sit and tell me what preys upon your thoughts and perhaps I will share some insight into my own."
His lip curls a little, "For though I have seen you enjoy the pool now and again, it is not like you to wander out after me in the rain."

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer Walters thumbs toward the Avengers manion, "Well, there's nobody inside, soooo..." she jokes again and smiles. She parks it on the little bench and taps it with her finger, maybe testing how sturdy it is. She crosses her legs and looks satisfied.

"Thor! I talk to you all the flipping time!" she lets out energetically and grins, "I'm like, HEY I should go talk to Thor---every week. Honest," she tells him and smirks, "You don't get enough of me blab blabbing, huh? Hmm," she comments amusedly. She brings her beer up toward her lips again, but then stops and smiles.

"Yeah well, okay here's the thing," Jennifer begins, "The Trent Organization asked me to take over hosting the next Charity, since their busy or something. I said sure! I have plenty of...buddies to help out...Asgardian buddies..." she grins.

Thor has posed:
A small exhalation comes from him, a thing that might well be a laugh if he gave it more of an effort as he says simply, "Ahhh, there it is." He nods slowly and lifts his bottle in her direction as if pointing at her, but then shakes his head as he leans forwards. "I should have known. Not enough to simply spend time with your worthy comrade. You have a goal in mind."
Then he squints sidelong at her as he rests his elbows upon his knees, holding his bottle in both hands as he chuckles a little, "And I suppose this one I have to get dressed up in the tuxedo once again?"
Then his eyebrows lift, "Or is this one such as the time Janet asked of me a similar favor and I ended up having individuals of the city bidding in an auction for me to go with them on a 'date'."
He gives her a hard time, but shakes his head and smiles. "Very well, just tell me when and where, I shall attend your event."

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer Walters laughs at what Thor says to her, "Friggin dang it, Thor. I knew you'd say that," she whines. She rolls her eyes and then pushes his shoulder, "Cut it out," she tells him, "I can't help it, they just don't want me to run it. They want the Avengers---they want Thor to show up. Seriously! They told everybody Thor is showing up to...this thing, so I mean...I had to ask!" she lets out amusedly.

"Seriously, no auction! Just little cheeses on crackers and lots of other crap. It's not a charity auction," Jennifer assures him. She brings up her beer to her lips but pauses to say, "Really!" she says.

Thor has posed:
"Mmmmhmmm." Thor says as he keeps giving her the stink eye, but then he laughs and the facade of grumpiness slips away as he leans over to nudge her shoulder with his companionably. "Fine fine, you have won my presence at your gathering. Go and tell whomsoever you need to tell and just tell me when you need me. I will attempt to remember but if you wish to make sure I show up then find me the day of the event."
His head tilts to the side as he then asks her, "Is that acceptable? Or have you some other obligation you wish to ask of me?"
That said he pushes himself to his feet. "Come, are you going inside or do you wish to remain out here a bit longer?" And as he says that he picks up the remaining bottles in their cardboard carrier, holding them in one hand lightly. "I, for one, intend to make ready for the evening."
