Cast of Characters: Molly Hayes, Bart Allen, Maxima

Molly Hayes has posed:
It's been a rough, rough week for Molly Hayes.

She's been on the run for years now, and she has the need to flee built into her by now. The government snagged her a month or so back, and put her with a foster family here on Staten Island. Then she was signed up for Happy Harbor. She was to keep her powers secret while finishing out her school experience. It went against everything her life had been about for awhile now.

The fifteen year old was in all remedial classes, due to dropping out during Middle School. That and her cute animal-themed hats and superhero backpacks or shirts and such tended to lead to teasing. It took everything in her not to punch the bullies thorugh walls. Today had been especially bad, with Becky Lynn 'accidentally' spilling her lunch tray all over the new girl. It was easy for someone like Bart to notice that the new kid wasn't in her next several classes, or anywhere around. It wasn't hard to determine what had happened, really.

Molly parked herself on a stool at the counter of the greasy spoon diner at the bus terminal, glancing down at her bus ticket as she waited. She was dressed for the snow outside, in boots, pants, a pink snow jacket and a pink and grey beanie with long rabbit ears. She picks up the menu and peers at it, chewing her lip.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen, on theother hand, became popular very quickly because of his ability to crack jokes and make friends easily. But even he notices when someone is not in class...probably because literally everything is like in slow motion for him. He's not a dumb kid and the stuff he deals with is things from the 31st century, but still, he needs to do high school. At lunch though? He absolutely noticed the situation play out and that Molly had noticeably ditched.

So, having likely recruited Max into coming with him because sometimes you need a woman's touch with things, it doesn't take long at all for Bart to find Molly at the bus station. "Hey, what are you doin' here and skippin' classes for? Not crash. You need the education so you can avoid the mode." Whats he saying? He's using slang that is not common at all. He was wearing a red coat with a yellow shirt underneath with some baggy pants and running shoes. Somewhat built for the snow, but not really.

He knows she's having a tough time, so he cuts to the chase. "I saw what happened."

Maxima has posed:
A blink as she is passed by the young man. She was already around the area of the Bus Terminal for her own reasons but then some random teen was asking her to help with some girl that he was trying to something with. He kinda didn't explain but a future queen's work is never really done. She walks into the place soon after Bart, looking around to where he is going and then she can immediately see what he is talking about. Well, more she can feel what he is talking about.

Maxima approaches the girl and then looks to Bart and tilts her head, "I am not sure what he is saying but from what I understand and feel, someone is having a bad day." She sits down on the stool to the left of Molly and smiles a little at her before leaning on the counter and nodding her head, "So, tell me what is going on." She states simply enough, "Oh, and I go by Max here."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Crash? Is that like Fetch? You're not gonna make it happen," she replies, not glancing up from her menu yet. She shifts about on her stool, hunching in a bit as if only the menu exists for her, and Bart certainly does NOT!

She glances up at the woman behind the counter and clears her throat. "Hot chocolate with extra whipped cream." She sets the menu aside and finally glances over at Bart. "Saw -what- happen? Besides, that places is lame. This whole state is lame," the younger girl replies, her tone challenging. "It all smells like farts."

She glances over at Maxima. Her gaze slowly lifts until she is looking -up- at Maxima. "Whoa, you're big like She-Hulk. But not green. Cool." She's only 6'2", but that's huge to Molly, afterall. She evades the question with the skill of a teen.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart facepalms! "Ugh, I'm moded still! Sorry, I'm not from around here at all. Not good with the whole slang thing, amiga." He does the 'slang thing' with quotation marks via his fingers. "The whole food tray 'accident'." again with quotation marks. "Yeah, everything is kinda dull here, but its probably good for you." He sits down on the bench next to her. "Farts? Nah, more like cheese wiz." he tries humor.

He looks over at Maxima and jerks a thumb at her. "Yeah, she's pretty neat." Bart, you literally don't know her.

"So, whats really been going on?" He looks her over. "Love the hat, by the way. Its crash." WHAT DOES CRASH MEAN

Maxima has posed:
A look at Bart again and Max just blinks once and shakes her head a little at him before looking back down to Molly, "I do not know this She-Hulk but if she's green I imagine she's not very normal." She shakes her head, "Which is good in a way, normal can be quite boring." She then looks to Bart a moment before she looks back down, "So, I have pieced together you both go to the same school." She nods, "And you do have good tastes in hats." She then leans on the counter and smiles, "But, something is bothering you to the point where you appear to be leaving." She then tilts her head, "Is it normal for you to run away when you have problems? Where I come from, we face our troubles and defeat them."

Usually in bloody battle with a great deal of yelling and sometimes a great deal of death...but yeah, probably best not to put that as an option on a foriegn world.

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Yeah, it is," she replies in response to the compliment on her hat. Molly sighs and reaches up, adjusting her hat. "I'm Molly," she says, finally. "I saw you at school, but I didn't get your name. Dunno her, though," she says, glancing at Maxima. "You a teacher or something?"

"Look...the whole 'school' thing hasn't really worked out for me in the past, okay?" Her hot cocoa arrives, and she picks up a spoon and begins eating the whipped cream. "Normal is lame, and school is just that to make you be it. Even this one." 'Even this one?'

"I -can't- defeat them," she grunts. "Or I'd be punching these kids in their stupid faces. But that would get me in even -more- trouble because adults are stupid."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart looks at Max just a little bit. "Yeah, something like that I think." He looks then to Molly as she speaks. "Nice to meet you, Molly. I'm Bartholomew Allen. But please, call me Bart. Or Bart Allen, or Barty. All crash!" Crash must mean good or awesome, in his mindset. But when she speaks about defeating them...Bart tilts his head.

"defeat who? The bullies? Hah, just do what I do and give them high-velocity wedgies if they mess with you. Nothing wrong with defending yourself, you know." He tries to pat Molly on the shoulder. "Can I assume you've run from school before?"

Maxima has posed:
"I am no teacher." Max states and then blinks as she speaks of the school in a strange manner. Then she hears Bart speak of High-velocity...something. Whatever that is. Max is beginning to question this a little but for now does not pry into their thoughts just listens to their emotions, "Molly." She states simply, "There are ways to defeat others without resorting simply to violence." She nods her head, "I could teach you, if you wish me to be a teacher, the ways to intimidate others regardless of stature or there's often not giving them satisfaction." She states.

"Whoever it is that was rude to you, you are letting them win by leaving. They see this school as their territory and you are ceding that territory to them." She closes her hand into a fist, "Do not give up ground to fools and bullies." She shakes her head, "You must find where they are weak and exploit it." She nods her head, "Everyone has a weakness and if you find it, you can destroy them without throwing a punch."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"No. We were told -not- to do stuff like that," she says. "And yeah. Kinda did that back in Middle School. They tried putting me into this other lame school in New York a couple of years ago but I took off from there, too..."

Molly sips her hot cocoa. "People were trying to kill us before, though. That's why we had to run away. But...been doing it since. Don't do well all...sequestered? Is that a word?" She turns back to Maxima.

"...Huh. That is some super-villain talk there, lady, but...not bad advice..." She furrows her brow a bit.

Bart Allen has posed:
"Not to protect yourself? Man, I wonder what kind of people were willing to tell you that. But hey, super wedgies give people a reason not to bother you. If you stick up for yourself, you'll find that the only person who has power over you, is you. Which is very crash." He smiles then for a little bit. "But she's right, you know."

Bart then sits back a little bit, putting his hands behind his head as he lounges. "Basically, don't let people push you around. Don't go overboard, but don't let people bully you."

Maxima has posed:
"I have heard that phrase used around this city. Super-Villain. However, I am not that. I do not take people treating me poorly though. If I am not allowed to use violence then I will use my wits." She smirks, "And it is not villainous to stop villains. At least that is what I am seeing. If these people are villains then I assure you, they have weakness." She nods her head and then she leans down toward Molly, "And I assure you, if I wished to deal with my problems violently, I very much could. I have chosen not to since I have arrived." She nods her head, "All the same..." She looks to Bart and then to Molly, "Where is it you are talking about? You speak about this school as if it were unnatural in some way."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Can't talk about it," she tells Maxima. "Sorry. Secrets and all that stuff."

Molly sighs and rubs at her face a bit, as if thinking about it. "Fine. Fine, I'll go back. The family I'm staying with is probably worried, anyways. They seem...eh, they seem nice enough, I guess."

She lifts her mug to her lips for a long sip.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart seems to smile approvingly. "Crash!" He stands up and everything, like he just got a shot of energy. He looks at Molly. "Now since we're friends, I'll help keep the jerks off your back. Because jerks are not crash, not crash at all." He shrugs a little bit.

Are they actually friends? The world may never know...

"Oh Super-Villains are just jerks that hurt people or do things that are not okay. Besides, the school could be much worse. Could be in the rough part of town where the only rule is 'scavenging rights' or something."

Maxima has posed:
A look to Molly and then a look to Bart before the girl considers them both for a moment, "How about this. Can you two keep a secret? If you can, then I can?" She hmms and tilts her head at them both before nodding her head, "I would offer you mine for yours." She looks between the pair, "Now that we have the other thing settled anyway."

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly nods to Bart and considers all that. "Well, I can do it. I just know if I punch one it'll...well.." The girl shrugs. What, is she strong or something? Is that her thing?

She turns back towards Maxima and cocks her head to the side. "Uh. Alright." She considers for a moment. "My parents were supervillains? They pretty much ran LA, which is why me and my friends got out of town and I dropped out of Middle School. That...count?"

Bart Allen has posed:
"Oh sure, I'll give you both mine if you give me yours. I'm game." Bart rocks on his heels a little bit. It seems he literally cannot sit still for any reason or time frame. He's got to do -something- or he'll be soooooo booooooorrred.

"That kinda counts. Man, having parents that are supervillains sounds so moded. Well, I'm from the future." He gives two thumbs up. Yeah right.

He looks at Maxima then. "Your turn!"

Maxima has posed:
A chuckle as she looks at the pair and then she idly reaches out with her hand and simply gestures at a nearby salt shaker and it raises up and goes to her hand. She then looks at them and then nods, "I have powers. I am assuming you two do, too." She states and then she slowly focuses and looks down a moment and then up. The whole building shudders for a moment, tremoring a little as if there was a very minor Earthquake beneath their position. She sets down the shaker and then states, "Neat, no? I try not to advertise too heaviliy."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Whoa. Do we have hoverboards? In that movie Back to the Future we have hoverboards and self-tieing shoes and...really dumb jackets. But that was actually a few years ago, not the future, anymore." She pauses for a moment and gestures to the server for a refill. "Well, do we?"

She jumps in surprise when the diner shakes a tiny hint, and she clears her throat. "Uh, yeah. Cool..." She considers and then raises a skinny arm, flexing it. "I'm strong."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart smirks at Maxima before she apparently makes a whole building shudder! How on earth did she make a -building shudder-?! ButBart just looks impressed instead of scared. "Woooaaah! Thats so crash! can you make really big earthquakes?" He looksthento Molly. He smiles though and rubs the back of his head. "We actually have pretty sweet jackets, thank you. But its mostly a dystopian future. You know, alien overlords, almost everything is broken. Scavengers everywhere? But don't worry, most of the meat at comic-con is from my era." Did...he just refer to people as 'meat'? Either way, he smiles at her skinny arm. "Appearances are deceiving! I once knew a guy who could lift a boulder with his chicken legs. Nobody ever laughed at him again. Me on the other hand?"

A blink of an eye and Bart is literally gone. There is abit of dust detailing where he went before he's back with popcorn. "I'm a speed demon!"

Maxima has posed:
A smile at Molly and she nods, "Are you? Impressive." She then looks to Bart. She doesn't really follow him with her eyes directly but then she nods, "Impressive." She states and then looks at the building, "And it wasn't an Earthquake. I just tried to lift the building. It caused everything to shake. I was careful though." She laughs a little, "I could potentially do damage if I am not." She nods her head, "All the same, I was somewhat curious though. You both go to the same school and speak of it like it is a secret..." She nods her head, "I do not wish to pry but why?"
