Eddie Brock has posed:
The art gallery where Gwen and Amanda's college friend was having a few of her works displayed had a small coffee house next door. A perfect place for Eddie to meet up with the two coeds to go and see the work.

Already sitting at one of the outdoor tables is Eddie. He has a to go coffee cup in hand, and another with Gwen's name on it sitting on the table. Plus one for Amanda, the man having texted to see what she'd want.

Amanda walks up, spotting Eddie and waving as she approaches. "No Gwen yet? Probably running one last data set before leaving the lab," she says with a soft laugh as if that would be so Gwen.

Eddie rises from his chair as Amanda arrives, sitting again as she does. "Probably," he agrees with Amanda. "Well, no rush, we've got plenty of time. And it's a nice enough day out," he says.

He isn't the only one who thinks it is a nice day. Down the street a commotion can be heard, a few cars blowing their horns, and a few people come running down the street from that direction. Around the corner comes a small tornado. It's only about ten feet tall, and has a little bit of a greenish color to it.

The whirlwind comes to a stop to reveal, Whirlwind! The mutant who spins like a top to the speed it creates whirlwinds, cackles as a car approaches him. "Out of my way, fool! Whirlwind has an appointment at a jewelry shop!" he shouts, eyeing the jewelry shop that sits on the other side of the gallery from the coffee shop. He spins and creating heavy winds around himself so that as he runs into the car, send it flipping, rolling towards the outdoor seating of the coffee house, and Eddie and Amanda.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Amanda wouldn't be too far from the truth for indeed Gwen was running late due to work at the labs. Burning the midnight oil for her application to Oscorp, or in this case the morning oil. Eh, details. It meant that she was running late, pacing down one of the sidestreets that lead to the art gallery, fiddling with her hair and hoping it wouldn't look like a mess of blonde hair when she arrived---

It's when Gwen feels that danger sense flaring up. From close-by. She doesn't even hesitate when she cuts into an alley to shift into the tight costume of the Ghost Spider and a few seconds later she is swinging out up a roof, web strings shot as she flies through the air towards the commotion she can now hear..

Amanda and Eddie would have to wait a bit longer and --- Is that them sitting at that coffee way too close to the danger? Eyes go a bit wider and she swings in, watching the car being thrown towards the duo. It almost goes into slow motion for Gwen as she begins shooting webs, creating a barrier that hopefully will be strong enough to keep the car from hitting innocents, a net suddenly starting to be created real close to where Amanda and Eddie are at.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie sits up straighter at the sight of the fleeing people, the man quickly going alert. "Amanda, I think maybe we should-" he starts to say, when Whirlwind rounds the corner and utters his brief villainous monologue.

The car, a white sedan with a woman at the wheel, is sent rolling towards them. Eddie jumps to his feet, grabbing Amanda to dive to the side with her. Though the car never makes it to them, the spider webs laid down by Ghost Spider straining with the car's weight for a moment, but bringing it to a stop. No one the worse for wear yet, other than the woman inside who was buffeted about by the car's tumble.

Eddie and Amanda lurch back to their feet. "Inside," Eddie tells her, guiding her with a hand towards the coffee shop. "I'm going to get that driver out," he says, and takes a few first steps towards the car.

Whirlwind, meanwhile, becomes aware he isn't the only costumed person on the scene. "You picked the wrong street today, toots!" Whirlwind yells at Ghost Spider, and shaking a fist her direction. "Now get out of here, I've got my eye on a few diamond necklaces," he yells at her. He spins his body, arms out to either side and lets fly a razor-shape circular disk like a sawblade at her!

The wind from his spinning sends the tables and chairs on the sidewalk in front of the coffee table flying. One chair fouls up Amanda's legs, tripping her and keeping her on the sidewalk, while a table ends up crashing into the coffee shop doors, an obstruction to opening them.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
A sigh of relief escapes Gwen's lips when the web is just enough to not have the car hitting Eddie and Amanda, she spinning through the air and landing not far from where the car is. Between the innocents and Whirlwind, "You should stick to your own lane. And whoever told you it was windy season was lying." it's as corny as it gets, but that's how Gwen rolls. It also helps her fight her nerves.

The sawblade being thrown her way has her taking moves right out of the Matrix, long legs shifting as she lowers her center and bends back in an almost impossible angle to have the disk flying past her to harmlessly being stuck against a wall. The following one? It has her jumping off the ground to evade and then shoot a web past Whirlwind which she uses to throw herself up in the air.

"Take them out of here!" she tells Eddie, over her shoulder just as she is starting to go up, "I will keep him distracted.." easier said than done, of course. But nothing like a direct approach. Which she does just that by flying in towards Whirlwind with a double kick!

Eddie Brock has posed:
As Ghost Spider goes swinging into Whirlwind, she hits him with both feet and launches him! The villain flies back and slams into the side of a small panel truck belonging to a furniture store. Though his sheer momentum spinning, causes her own legs to whip around as they hit him. The heroine is going to have to use some of that agility to not land hard as her body is sent tumbling!

Eddie gives the familiar young costumed woman a nod of his head. Were it not for the danger of Gwen's friend being there, he might rub at his face, still remembering how Ghost Spider slammed his face into a metal bar sign she ripped off the wall, the last time they tangled. Though the more recent time running into her, at the hospital where both were looking into drug dealers, hadn't been quite so violent.

Or painful.

Eddie gets to the car, trying to open the door but it's taken enough damage in the tumble it took that it's stuck shut.

   <<Venom>> "I got this!"

Tiny tentacles of black snake out of Eddie's palm, delving into the metal and ripping at the hinges before retracting. When Eddie tugs again then, it isn't like he rips the door free, more that it just falls away. He begins helping the dizzy, battered woman extricate herself from her seat belt.

Meanwhile, Whirlwind is getting back to his feet and snarling. "Stupid heroes, you could rule the city instead of GETTING. IN. MY. WAY! Now others will pay for your insolence!"

He begins spinning again, and sending a pair of twirling sawblades at two different pedestrians. One a man back up the street, another... Amanda!

Gwen Stacy has posed:
It only comes late to Gwen that going feet first into a whirlwind might not be the best of ideas. Specially as she is then sent spinning through the air! And right to hitting the art gallery billboard that they were to visit today. What is it with this city and all the billboards?!

It may also be a small revenge for a certain Venom.

But Gwen is quick to recover as once again her suit has come to the rescue by absorbing a lot of the impact. Nothing less would she expect of a suit made by none other than Janet Van Dyne, "You really know how to swoon the ladies, Whirlwind.." she quips at him even as she jumps off the now broken billboard.

"According to my insta comments on some of my photos I already rule it." It's true! Lots of 'You rule!' or even 'You rock!' to some of the photos she had up on her Ghost Spider instagram. Because of course she had a lot of marketing going! Lots of popularity. "You will get lots of time to watch it when you are in jail."

But then he's shooting sawblades at innocents. That prompts Gwen into action and while she knows she can't really take the two of them out of harm's way it doesn't mean she can't do something else. Because there's no way she will let another friend die in her arms like in the past. A bolt of web is sent towards the innocent man that is in the way of the sawblade. Enough to have him fall to the ground and perhaps 'dodge' the flying projectile. As for Amanda?

She runs right into the line of fire to try and stop the girl from being hit while bracing for impact. This is going to hurt.

Eddie Brock has posed:
The first man is pulled out of the way safely even as Ghost Spider launches herself into the path of the second sawblade. It hits her, the spinning disk ripping into costume and flesh, though thankfully a glancing blow that continues on rather than sinking fully into the woman. And the impact deflects it away from Amanda, though it slams into the wall of the gallery right beside her head!

Eddie Brock helps the driver out, and sees the hero take a hit. "Are you able to move on your own?" he asks the woman. She gives a nod and takes an unsteady step, but stays on her feet. "Get inside somewhere," Eddie tells her.

With Ghost Spider down if only momentarily, Whirlwind cackles. "Foolish 'hero'!" he taunts and then charges towards her, his costume readying two more flying disks.

Eddie grabs the car door and runs out in front of her even as Whirlwind charges forward. Using it like a shield, he runs at Whirlwind with the tenacity of the rugby player he was in college. He slams into the spinning villain, which sends Eddie flying same as it did Gwen, but Whirlwind is surprised by how hard he's hit, and for the second time he's sent flying back, this time to dent the side panel of a car before he gets back up, shaking his head. "Ok, I was actually going easy. Time for someone to die now," he says, glaring at Eddie where he landed in the street. Whirlwind spins up again, preparing to launch disks at the disoriented man.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Ghost Spider feels the impact, and cut, grazing her arm and suit as she is spent spinning and to the ground a moment. The sting is there and she sees blood dripping down her otherwise immaculate white costume. A glancing blow, it will heal. But for now? It still hurts like heck. Yet at least Amanda is safe, she spotting the girl still on the ground.

"Get in there." She tells Amanda, getting up to her feet with a nod and drawing the table out of the way so she can go into the cafe. She helps the still dizzy driver inside as well, out of harm's way so all she can do is watch as Eddie charges in..

Now that's some impressive tackling capability. But no time to think about that because Whirlwind is coming back with a vengeance! So she jumps over to land in front of Eddie, "Didn't know Columbia U used doors during their rugby matches. No wonder they won so much." She tells him. Hol' up, how does she even know about that? But now she is running straight at Whirlwind. Again making the same mistake of going against him head on? Not really, as even spiders learn with their mistakes. She shoots webbings from her wrists, catching a couple of those discs that had lodged against walls nearby and *yanks* on them hard, making them dislodge off the wall and then spinning them on the end of her webs almost as if it was some kind of barbed whip. She does it all at an impressive speed before bringing both down at the same time against the armored Whirlwind.

"You're a bit too chatty for a tornado. I prefer mine quieter."

Eddie Brock has posed:
The blades hit Whirlwind, hard enough to hurt, and poking through his costume and causing a yelp of pain. Though it quickly gets worse from there for the villain.

As he spins, the webs rapidly are pulled in, wrapping around him. Ghost Spider can either add more web or cut them loose, otherwise she might get pulled in as well.

They wrap about him and restrain his arms and then he lets out a little wail and falls over, hitting the ground with a thump.

Eddie stands up, looking just a little battered but not too bad, maybe not even bruised. "Nice job," he says towards the blond heroine. "You ok?" he asks, seeing the blood on her.

He definitely caught the comment about Columbia and the rugby team, and there is a slight curious look, though he doesn't say anything about it as the sound of police sirens can be heard, getting closer. People start to step out onto the street again now the villain has been subdued, pulling out cameras and taking pictures of everything.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
As Whirlwind gets caught in the webs and self-wraps himself until he's fully covered in webs Gwen lets go, letting the villain fall down to the ground. She rests her hands on her hips and grins, "Not sure whether to call you Taco Whirlwind or a Burrito Tornado.." she quips, lifting her chin before looking towards Eddie. A brow quirks, not even bruised, "I am, it's just a flesh wound.." she casts a look down at her arm.

Yea, it will heal soon enough ... Hopefully.

"Thanks for the assist with the door. Most people would had just ducked for cover to get safe." She tells him with an approving nod, "Guess the heroes here today weren't all in costume, mmm?" she winks at him from under the mask, it at least hiding the relief she feels that he wasn't hurt.

"This is my cue to get going." She says of the sirens getting closer, looking down the street, "I will be seeing you.." she tips a couple of fingers to the side of her forehead before she swings back up into the air to disappear down a street and .....

Time to change back into being Gwen Stacy. Of course that she would have to bandage that arm until it was all healed up. Which meant not going right to the meeting. Why did Super-heroing had to be so complicated?!
