Date of Scene: 08 May 2022
Location: The Strait Lace Steakhouse - Hellfire Club
Synopsis: Emma meets the Spiral, and there's some magic left in the trance.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Spiral

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost is currently sitting over at one of the tables. It's a Friday night, and the steakhouse is packed. Sometimes the former White Queen of the Hellfire Club might be irritated with this and as a show of power simply empty out all the tables around her in a fit of pique. But tonight is not one of those nights. For whatever reason the blonde is relaxed, and is casually working her way over on her meal while listening to the music being played.

Spiral has posed:
Spiral certainly isn't a typical attendee to the Hellfire Club. You generally need to be wealthy and powerful to enroll, after all. And while the Dimensional Sorceress is certainly powerful, she's not rich... well, she's got a few billion Mojobucks back on Mojoworld, or did before he gave her the boot. Now she's making her way with occasional high end cybernetic augmentation. But that's not a steady employment. But still, Spiral's sane enough to listen to customers about who might need a sorceress for hire, and be able to pay well. And now Spiral's got her eyes on Emma Frost. The white haired witch has let thick, lustrous hair hang free, her normally tall 5'10" frame goes up to 6'4" in six inch heeled boots, a gleaming silvery material that seems to cling like paint up to her thighs, a metallic blue dress with a neckline that wraps her throat like a collar, and bares a daring line down her torso to her navel, not a wide enough strip to be scandalous, but to hint at scandal. She moves with effortless grace, her artificial arms tucked behind her back, fingers laced together, only two arms moving at her sides, doing her best to approximate normal motion as she approaches the White Queen, bobbing her head and standing respectfully, apparently waiting for her to summon her closer.

Emma Frost has posed:
Even thsoe normally used to almost anything in the debauched hedonism of the club might take a moment to look up and stare over at Spiral. Emma Frost was not one of them that would be caught by surprise. The buzz going through the room would catch her attention as she would shift her attention over to Spiral and casually frown over.
"So what brings one of Mojo's adjuncts to this place?" Emma would intone, going to calmly take out a sip of her wine and then settle the glass down. "I do hope that if I'm going to be assaulted and taken to some sort of soiree you give me the oppotunity to finish my wine first. It's a rather lovely vintage and it would be a shame to not enjoy it."

Spiral has posed:
Spiral's lips quirk in a smile, or at least as close to a genuine human expression as the arguably insane witch can manage, just a /little/ too wide, eyes a little too open as she sighs out, "Oh! I'm _not_ one of Mojo's adjunts anymore though. We had a bit of a... disagreement yes?" She heaves out a sigh and shakes her head, "And he decided to abandon me here on Earth." One of those folded cybernetic arms gestures to one of the chairs, and provided she's given the okay, she slinks down into it, one leg crossing over the other as they stretch out and she shifts from attempted smile to successful frown.
"I find myself stuck here, scraping by on odd jobs enhancing the rich and infamous." She rolls her eyes, "And I'm tired of every billionaire with a need to overcompensate for something asking if I can give him a laser cannon in his chest, or make him able to win a triathlon without being caught cheating." She grins wolfishly and murmurs out, "And so, I started thinking about who could afford to pay for a personal sorceress. And who would be... creative enough to enjoy one." All six hands make little finger gun motions, "And that's when it occurred to me. Emma Frost? Emma Frost /loves/ collecting unique treasures!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would ah over, "I see. So what then did you do to disagree with him that did not involve him splitting your soul from your body then and rending it apart time and space? Oh, do forgive me." She would speak over then. "You sound like someone that got off on somewhat the easier end of things. But now is not the time or place. Might you care to join me for something to eat then?" She would gesture at Spiral as the woman would sit down.
"And why merely a laser cannon? I would hope that someone in that wealth could have a far, far more extensive visualization for weaponry in mind." She would smile. "And I do appreiate that darling. Nice combination. Taunting of someone adversarial, switching to appeal to my ego and vanity." APpreciative.

Spiral has posed:
Spiral's eyes roll and she sighs as she seems to relax into less... coiled lethal snake, and more... regular woman as she huffs out a long breath, "Who knows? Maybe he can't. Maybe it's all part of some plan of his to leave me here and then drag me back when he finds it most hilarious." She twists her face up and groans, "Maybe I kill him in a few centuries, but I also do it last year, and it's my own fault I'm stuck here? Time travel. It's a real bitch."
She quirks an eyebrow and grins impishly, "Well, maybe I'll join you for dessert."
She lifts one of many hands to her mouth in a feigned gasp, "Why! Ms. Frost! Come now. It's not vanity when you /actually/ look that good." She rolls her eyes and murmurs dryly, "And, really, most don't want weaponry at all. But I'm not in the business of cybernetic augmentations in the area they're so very concerned about... performance in."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod in understanding, "I can sympathize on that agenda. Those of us who are merely human find the abscence of linearity to be quite disorienting." Spoken like someone that was used to time having a 'forwards' button as far as normalcy went.
"Very well. What are you offering for my employment then?" She would smile. "And I fail to see as to why they would not be creative with such an offering for upgrades. I do not, for now, have anyone I wish to have anything installed in. So I will settle for your general services."

Spiral has posed:
Spiral grins brightly and nods her head with a soft laugh, eyebrows popping up, "Well, it's not /too/ bad. I just try not to worry about time... not that it means I show up late to work of course, hm?
She chews her lower lip thoughtfully, shoulders shrugging, "Well, I've a wide variety of magic abilities, general... knack for science, though of course, cybernetic augmentation is my forte. I can always provide security as well. Proactive security if needed." She quirks an eyebrow and grins even more widely, "And I think I can live with that. A retainer to be at your call for your whims and fancies, Ms. Frost?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would fold her fingers together and smile, "Yes, I believe that I can make use of those services, Spiral. I can get in touch with you when I have need of them and approach you. As you are a freelancer in turn you can decide whether you wish to take on the offer or not at the time. However ,in turn as an employee, even a subcontractor, I expect you to adhere to the standards and instructions given and perform things as expected."

Spiral has posed:
Spiral's eyes narrow wickedly and she murmurs out, "Why, Ms. Frost! You need only say my name and mean it, and I will hear and come." She bobs her head and crosses fit arms behind her head, eyebrows perking up, "And of course I'll follow the rules of my contract. I'm sure we can do over what you expect of me insofar as conduct and standards as time goes on. I think you'll find I'm a wonderful employee!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Lovely. So what is your preferred payment method? I've found that tehre can be a great disparity. Currency? Exotic items? Supernatural paraphenalia? Technology? I merely wish to ensure that before we come to an agreement I can offer things that you wish in return. A good employer knows what their employee wants."

Spiral has posed:
:laughs softly, a genuine sound of amsuement as she murmurs out, "Currency, certainly. Preferably cash... it turns out getting the necessary identification for a bank account is..." Her lips press into a thin line as she sighs out, "Tricky when you're..." All those arms gesture gracefully at the length of her body, "From... /far/ out of town? No, I think purpose and an almost literal paycheck will be just /wonderful/. And if you need a magician for a party, I'll offer you a reasonable rate."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frostwould laugh, "Why, of all the things that you can do, haven't you bothered to set up a few cover identities for yourself so you can get things like accounts? Darling, I can have that handled free of charge. It's merely a bureaucratic annoyance so wouldn't take very long. The least I could do as a favor for someone that's going to be coming into my employ."

Spiral has posed:
:smiles crookedly, shrugging lightly, "Well I never really considered it, and... I haven't had any coats long enough to hide my arms that I was willing to be seen in public in." She snorts softly and offers a wink, "And oh please, do feel free to do me as many favors as you feel like... boss. I have a feeling we're going to have a far healthier relationship than Mojo and I had. For one thing, you're not crazy."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Darling, they have things you can use. Whiel uncomfortable, they do make outfits that can be used to conceal such things. Also, electronic accounts mean you odn't have to show up somehwere in person to utilize them. Just use them purely online through encrypted things."

Spiral has posed:
Spiral rubs her chin thoughtfully and murmurs out, "My my, fashionable /and/ full of helpful advice! I daresay you're going to be my /favorite/ boss, Ms. Frost!" She grins crookedly and bobs her head, "Well then, I will be sure ot do all my banking online! ...Hm, and shopping too. Well, except fashion of course. That's all sure to be custom in person things!" She stands smoothly and nods solemnly, "And I wasn't kidding about saying my name. But you've got to... mean me. Don't worry about just talking about a spiral and summoning me from a nap or something. But I should probably leave you to finish your dinner, and I'll go get everything in order and clear my future augmentation schedule. Tell them I'm booked up... honestly, none of the pending appointments seemed that interesting."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would laugh, "I think I can understand that dear. And there are tailors in Bushwick that specialize in attire for those whom have exotic physical features like you rown. I'm sure that they would love to make some personal ensemble for you as a challenge. Drop my name with a few of them and see if them have any ideas. And the phrasing also requires intent rather than simply dropping a word?" Teasing.

Spiral has posed:
Spiral nods her head with a low murmur, "Oh yes. Though I really only get inklings of the intent. I'll know you're trying to call me and... well, a /vague/ understanding if it's for danger or leisure." She cocks her hips and crosses her arms, "But I'm sure a wealthy businesswoman like you knows all about making her intentions clear. You'll get it in no time... and I'll try to show up fashionable for you, hm?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would flick her fingers together, "Lovely. I will appreciate it. It's always nice to have such proactive minions darling. We're going to get along just fine. Thank you so much for seeking me out. I do enjoy recognizing fresh talent."

Spiral has posed:
There's another flash of a grin from Spiral, as the statuesque woman sway and spins, arms slowly building into a series of intricate, winding motions, her dress flaring out, long legs moving her faster and faster until she simply /vanishes/ in a brief shower of silver sparkles that disappear.

Probably because leaving a pile of glitter behind would have just been /rude/. And she certainly doesn't want to inconvenience Emma after such a lovely first meeting!
