Cast of Characters: Courtney Whitmore, Wally West

Courtney Whitmore has posed:
It's Friday night at the coffee shop, and it is BUZZING. Students are going to and fro, there are even a few folks hitting it up to keep them sustained through some shows or other evening activities. And of course, there are some who are just lingering, because this is as good of a place as any. Courtney Whitmore is one of those lingerers.

Seated at one of the high top tables, her legs curled onto the stool underneath, she gazes absently out at the people walking by outside. Her head is bobbing to the beat of whatever music is playhing through her earbuds, blonde locks bouncing along with her head. A smile is on her face, and her lips are moving silently, as if she were singing along with whatever song it is. She is wearing a pair of bike shorts and a t-shirt cropped to bare her midriff, a pair of sneakers with no socks.

Wally West has posed:
Wally Arrives at the coffee shop. In his suit to get something before ending his patrol for the evening. Wally notices he gets a sizable discount in the suit. Esecially if people see him in the suit at the place of business.

He notices the pretty girl in the shorts, she seems vague familiar, like he may have seen her around. Wally zips over with a complimentary Latte to offer the girl. "Hey yo, I'm the flash nice to meet you"

Courtney Whitmore has posed:
Turning her gaze quickly towards Wally, Courtney beams him a smile. "Flash!" She reaches up and tugs the buds out of her ears. "Hey there," she says, blinking as he comes with a latte, but not seeming displeased. "Uh, to what do I owe the ... " She grins. "Uh, the pleasure." She smiles, and takes a sip from the cup, nodding slowly. "Tasty!"

Wally West has posed:
Wally chuckles a little at the awkwardness. "You seem vaguely like i've seen you somewhere before. I mean I'm not sure I may just think that because you're pretty and my mind made up an excuse to talk to you. but I'm pretty sure I have seen or at least heard of you doing what I do. Tell me if I'm totally off base."

Courtney Whitmore has posed:
At first, Courtney's flush broadens as he calls her pretty. She is going along with the excuse idea. But when he takes about doing what he does, she glances around quickly, and then leans over and whispers. "I'm not wearing my mask, people will know who I am!" she says quickly, still looking around. "Yes, we're on the same side. I'm just not as..." She chuckles. "Public. As you are."

Wally West has posed:
Wally smirks and takes a seat. and with a hush voice. "you've been noticed I work with the titans we keep an eye on younger heroes like 'the star spangled kid' I noticed you and well yeah you're cute" Wally gives a sly wink. "but also I thought if you are who I think you are. I would love to offer any advice or aid I can give a young new hero. Least I can do to help. Ok now that thats covered" Wally's voice raises to normal volume. "this is the part where i try to chat you up" He gives a warm smile.

Courtney Whitmore has posed:
Courtney's gaze drifts quickly as Wally leans in, and she nods, listening to him attentively. Her cheeks continue to flush. "Thank you, I, uh..." Her fingers move up and down on the latte cup, as she nods again. "Advice. The last time I took advice from a speedster, it didn't go well." She laughs softly, before turning to smile at Wally. "But it wasn't you, so, maybe your advice is better." She returns the warm smile with one of her own.

Wally West has posed:
"I mean. I *AM* the Flash." Wally says with a swell of pride in his voice. "I'm a, big time hero." he says with a some snark. "no big deal just a Justice League memeber" he says with ironic feined modesty.

"So " Wally says with renewed sincerity "What can I do for you? Ask anything. within reason. No peeking under the mask, on the first date at least."

Courtney Whitmore has posed:
"Well, yes, of course!" agrees Courtney, bobbing her head, as she takes another sip of her latte. "You've saved the world /how/ many times?"

She sets the cup down on the table and watches him, thinking for a moment. Her ears tinge pink when he calls it a first date, and she reaches down to retrieve the latte, covering up her mouth with a sip. "Uh." she says, putting it down. "How do you remember not to call yourself by your real name while fighting in your costume?" she blurts out.

Wally West has posed:
Wally chuckles remembering all the scolding him and the others got from Batman about it. "It took a while. but you have to separate you from the mask. And only a few people from the mask life should know you. It didn't learn my best friend's name till after he was my best friend. I mean in the league we know each other's names but that wasn't till we had to. When you're wearing the suit you are the code name. I'm The Flash right now. I'm not Joe Nobody from the midwest. I'm the fastest man Alive. Notice I'm not even asking for your name. I might ask for your number. but Your name is a secret you choose to tell someone."

Courtney Whitmore has posed:
Courtney smirks at that. By her count, she had used her name with four heroes and two villains in the past two months. She was not particularly good at keeping it a secret. She smiles at him, though, and reaches into her bag and pulls out a small notebook. She scrawls some numbers on there, and writes "Stars" above the numbers, and hands it to him. "As long as you use it responsibly," he says, winking at him.

Wally West has posed:
Wally is a slightly surprised his dumb flirting seemed to have worked. but he takes the piece of paper and slides it into a neatly concealed pocket in his suit. Wally then politely takes the notebook and pen and scribble a contact number and Autgraphs it "The Flash" in practiced cursive. "If you ever need advice, or someone to talk to, someone to listen. I really think with experience you can become a good hero."

Courtney Whitmore has posed:
The smile broadens into a brilliant on at the Flash's endorsement. "Thank you!" she says, spiriting away the noteback with the number on it. She would not want it to fall into the wrong hands. "I'd like to be agood one some day. I'm getting there."
