Cast of Characters: Gabby Kinney, Sara Pezzini, Daniel Ketch, Robbie Reyes

Gabby Kinney has posed:
It had been an eventful evening exploring the 'new' rooms of the Velvet Room. The Fool having been successfully navigated--It was rather easy, really, other than having to relive and be unburdened by past memories--It left many with time to muse over things.

Gabby hadn't really intended to be here musing over pizza, but she was. She'd left, and come back, and brought with her a buffalo chicken pizza which she's set atop the bar that had generously offered paper plates and napkins for those inclined to use them. It wasn't exactly an actual dinner plate sort of meal.

Sipping from a suspiciously dark and fizzy drink she sits at one of the stools at the bar in the sitting room frowning with her phone on the counter next to her. Swiping through pictures of cats. Literally. It was Caturday after all and it was a suitable distraction to new thoughts to mull over.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
After the events of the prior evening, and hearing about the ever changing state of some parts of the Velvet Room, Sara had determined it was time for her to get to know this place. Four of the rooms always remained in the same place, and where as that was some what comforting, the idea that the rest of the place moved around unsettled her in ways she couldn't verbalize.

Stopping in at the sitting room to ensure that it had in fact remained where it was supposed to, she spotted Gabby sitting at a table with pizza. Remembering her promise from the night before, she went to the bar for a cup of coffee, then made her way to the table Gabby had chosen.

"Mind if I join you?" She asks as she reaches the table, not about to be the rude sort and just sit down.

Daniel Ketch has posed:
And then one of the doors 'outside' opens and a skeleton in flames walks in.

It is a very tall skeleton, dressed in black leather and steel, and with an excessive number of spikes protruding from the leather. Also, a chain wrapped diagonally across his chest.

This particular Ghost Rider has never been here, but he knows the Velvet Room, because his host knows it. Said host is pretty surprised when not even four steps into the room, the Rider decides to leave. Maybe he is not detecting anyone needing vengeance in this weird corner of reality. Not that the burning skeleton is prone to explain his actions, not even to Daniel.

"Ouff... damnit," Daniel stumbles forward, feeling the burning flesh for a second or two, until the Rider is completely gone. "Where this time? Oh!" he pauses. "Uh, hello," he looks at Gabby and Sarah, eyes squinted. "What did I miss?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney glances up from her doom kitty scrolling where she'd paused on the video of a black cat mothering hedgehog babies (where does she FIND these?) to offer Sara a small grin in response. "Oh, Sara! Yeah of course. Want a slice? I was on a date... I think I got dumped?" she adds with eyebrows crinkling in a look of confusion. "But the pizza was already made so there's plenty."

As always she provides a bit too much info, though it does explain why she has such a large pizza presumably for herself. It wasn't meant JUST for herself. All the more reasons to come where people may be to share the rest. A quick sip of her drink is taken just as the Ghost Rider comes in.

Instantly snapping her eyes toward the flaming skeleton she watches as the flames change reverting to Danny. A face she wasn't expecting. "Huh. I didn't realize there was more than one Rider. Hi!" She greets lifting a hand to wave at him across the short distance of the room. "Oh, there was some extra doorways that opened last night and we met Igor."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara was just settling into her chair at the table with a slight frown, when Noble stepping into the room and left Daniel to his own devices. The frown shifts to a slight smirk. "There are actually three that I know of," she comments to Gabby then raises her voice slightly to reach where he is. "You didn't miss anything specific, Daniel. Come on over and introduce yourself."

Shifting her eyes back to Gabby, she asks more quietly, "If you want to talk about the date and what happened, I'm all ears and willing to help. What makes you think you got dumped?"

Then and only then does she take a slice of the pizza with a soft, "Thank you."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"You met who?" Daniel sighs, then he goes for the bar for a drink, returning with a glass full of ice and a whole bottle of rum. Priorities. He flops down on the offered seat then, looking tired. "Wait a second, did you say three?"

Also, there is a young girl there too he didn't know. Forgive him, he just got back from the void between worlds where the Ghost Rider dumps him sometimes. "Uh, hello. Daniel Ketch. I am part of this... group. Of people. Sometimes."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney looks to Sara when the explanation of how many Riders there are is given. A little look of surprise crosses her face, though she glances toward the ceiling thoughtfully as it's all taken in. "I guess that makes sense. There's usually not a single demon for a certain thing, so 'a demon of vengeance' makes more sense than 'THE demon of vengeance.' Plus," she adds with a little wiggle of her hand in the air. "Timelines and realities kind of get wonky here sometimes. Some of my best friends haven't been born yet."

Dropping her hand back to her dark and fizzy drink she pauses, thinking, about how to answer Sara's question. "Well. We were out having pizza. Things were going well? Then there was some trouble brewing outside so I suggested we take our pizza to go, and he suddenly apologizes for screwing everything up, and says we ought to take some time to consider whether we want to continue to hang out or not. Then he left." Another pause comes as she looks just horribly confused. "That's why I think I got dumped, except we weren't even dating yet? It was our second time out." It's all shrugged off with a sigh, and Danny's bottle of rum is eyed.

"Oh, nice choice, good and sweet." A grin creeps over her as he seems awkward around her. "I'm older than I look," she assures. "Almost eighteen." Only SLIGHTLY older than she looks apparently. It was tough being short.

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Having been called out last night on an emergency.. well, semi-emergency, which turned out to be a stray cat that had gotten into the apartment-- Anyway, Robbie's eager to come back, grab a beer, and check out that room he missed last night.

So imagine his surprise when he walks into the sitting room and spots Daniel standing at the bar. Not that he knows the guy from a hole in the wall, but *Eli* knows plenty. And he isn't happy at all.

The kid growls softly, upper lip pulling back slightly to bare his teeth, and his gloved hands come out of the pockets of his leather jacket as he prowls closer slowly. "Who the fuck are you?" he demands, his usual scratchy baritone warping slightly as his eyes flicker orange, then red. He doesn't even bother pointing out that he's no vengeance demon. Maybe Sara knows.. or maybe she doesn't.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara was once again about to respond to Gabby, give her some 'motherly advice' as it where, when Robbie walks in and Eli gets hot under the collar... at least it stayed under the collar. She knew now more about Eli than she had before, between Johnny and Witchblade she had all the information she needed to get the picture.

"One moment Gabby," she says as she stands up and looks toward Robbie and says calmly, "Robbie, don't lose your shit. You are standing in the Velvet Room, the safe space for /all/ members and allies of the Justice League Dark.

Her eyes shift between Daniel and Robbie a few times, gauging the room, letting Witchblade have a moment to decide the threat level before she says, "We do not attack members and allies, for any reason, remember that."

It wasn't her place to introduce Daniel, she'd said her peace and Witchblade was ready should either of the Rider's decide they needed to 'flame on'. Looking back to Gabby now, she says, "He got nervous, a bit of cold feet it all. Give him a day, then call and ask him out to burgers or something. It happens with young men, a sudden rush of emotion and they can lose their shit," she side glances to Robbie as she says that but looks back to Gabby. "I wouldn't say you got dumped though."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
Daniel eyes Gabby as she goes from talking about time travel (weird, but totally believable) to a date with a boy that acted like he has acted in his last three dates (none of which was the current year) to eying his rum bottle. Which is the only one issue he finds easy to address. "You know, almost eighteen means no alcohol most places." He looks around. "No idea where we are, but I am going to say no, because I think the guys in charge won't want it. Feel free to correct me, Sara?" He offers the older woman half a smile, then serves himself half a glass of rum.

And then Robbie busts in. No one Danny knows. But he looks odd, and Daniel gives the young man a long stare. "Ketch," he offers, frowning. "What do you want?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney actually grins wider when Danny attempts to keep her away from alcohol. She'd only commented on it, not asked for it. Besides who was to say what was in her own cup? (It was rootbeer.) "Couldn't get drunk if I wanted to," she offers up without further explanation. Just like Sara her attention is drawn many different ways.

"Maybe," she agrees to the motherly advice offered. More importantly though? She regards Robbie with a small frown at his unexpected outburst. "Is this like a territorial thing, like with dogs? Two Riders equals fight?" It's all she offers really before suggesting, "I've got pizza if you want, Robbie. It's buffalo chicken though so maybe a little weird, but tasty."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Robbie keeps his gaze riveted on the older man, hands curling and uncurling from fists with a soft crack of leather as he continues on his intercept course. Slow, approaching Daniel from the side like the seasoned predator he is.

Somehow, Sara's words manage to break through his fugue, and the boy jerks his head toward her for a moment, pausing and grinding his jaw as she reminds him that violence isn't permitted here. Of course, it isn't wholly *him* at the helm, going by the glowing pits for eyes, and the hairline cracks that have started to appear in his face, and up over the crown of his head.

"Ketch," he repeats, in that hellish voice like shearing metal overlaid with his own growl. "Don't know you." Gabby gets a slow look at her query, but.. it's like he doesn't recognise her. He turns back to Daniel. "You shouldn't be here. Why is he here?" That question might be more for Sara.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Never having sat down, Sara moves herself into Robbie's line of sight, her body blocking Daniel and his bottle of rum. It's not the first time she's put herself between two Riders, in fact it was Johnny with Daniel... why was Daniel the most reasonable of them? Keeping her eyes on the younger Rider she cants her head slightly.

"You don't get a say in who is a part of the Justice League Dark, or who our allies are," she states firmly, folding her arms across her chest, well aware that it was more Eli that needed to be put in place than Robbie. "You can rant, rave, rail, bitch, complain, even throw things if the mood strikes you, but you have no say, at all, who comes and goes from the Velvet Room and who we recruit. Just like with Johnny, you gotta bite down on the bullet pretty damn hard and accept."

Never letting her eyes leave Robbie, she shifts her weight slightly on her feet. "The Riders don't play well with others," she says to Gabby, though not looking at her. "They have their purposes, and will even go at each other, but they all have to come to terms with the fact that they don't get to hunt each other. All three are members or an ally to the JLD, and it is something that at least two of the Riders are having troubles accepting."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
Daniel sighs, pushing away his glass and standing up. "Look, I was invited here. I have helped the League a couple times and, uh, my partner is good in a scrap." He points out lamely.

And Robbie is someone that Daniel's 'partner' doesn't like. Daniel frowns, as he feels Noble trying to push him aside. Sensing danger? But this is the Velvet Room, the hangout of the Justice League. They probably didn't give the key to someone hostile, right? He suppresses Noble with a grunt, letting Sara keep Robbie away. It stings his male pride, but letting the Ghost Rider out sounds like a terrible idea. Noble has some nice skills, but diplomacy is not one of them. "Is he a Ghost Rider?" He asks, voice strained. "But my... Noble wants to protect Johnny. I don't think this is the same reaction."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney slightly rises from her seat in reaction to what was going on here with a pensive look of worry. When 'Robbie' gives her that flaming stare she holds up a hand to point at him accusingly. "Oh don't act like you don't know me, we fought together before! If you don't like that he's here give Robbie control again and stuff a slice of pizza in your talk-hole." Nodding firmly she crosses her arms over her chest in a stubborn fashion. At least she wasn't jumping BETWEEN them like Sara was.

Instead she glances toward Daniel to offer, "He is, but from what he's told me it's not a nice relationship between them. And I got the short version of it." Pausing she does add, quietly, "Though I never have seen him try to jump out like this before. Is Noble the name of your rider? That's a cool name."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
'Not a nice relationship' is putting it mildly. Some of the other JLD are likely aware of the fact that Johnny came looking for Reyes not too long ago, and tried to take him down. There are probably still scorch marks left behind from *that* one.

Robbie doesn't try to push past Sara, touch her, or otherwise defy her orders. For now. But it's clear the demon's chomping at the bit-- and equally clear that the kid's fighting like hell to hold him back and retain control. "Fine," he snarls at length, watching Daniel over Sara's shoulder. His mouth curves into a faint, and entirely unwholesome smile. And then the fire gutters out of his eyes, and the fissures in his skin disappear, leaving behind burned flesh that quickly begins repairing itself.

He slumps forward against Sara, whether she's ready or not for it. "Sorry, Gabby," he mumbles.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Just as Sara thought, Eli. As Robbie slumps, she catches. She may not have been wholly ready, but Witchblade was. Her reaction time becomes faster with his assistance. Using her free hand to her own chair over, she offers it to him to sit down.

"Gabby, you can't expect Eli to give even a singular minute fuck about you," she finally says, helping Robbie to get into the chair. "It was Robbie, not really... sort of? Hell, I've seen it so many times now I've lost track, but I still can't explain it."

Glancing over to Daniel now, still sort of between Robbie and him, just to make sure, she lifts a brow. "Not my place to explain Eli and Robbie to you, so I'll just ask why does Noble want to protect Johnny? And is that Johnny, or Zarathos?"

Daniel Ketch has posed:
Daniel steps forward when Robbie collapses, frowning. Suddenly, the pressure on him is gone too. So, it is not Robbie that Noble dislikes, but the other Rider? Zarathos made Noble uncomfortable, but this 'Eli' makes him very angry.

He offers Robbie his drink, wondering if he is over twenty for only a second. Then glances to Sara, shrugging. He grabs a seat and sits slowly. "I get impressions only. Johnny was sadness, and anger. But not at Johnny. You probably have a better chance to ask him than I do."

Then to Gabby. "Yes, Noble Kale. He was a Seventeenth Century witch hunter or something like that. I need to research his story in detail, but I have not found time yet. Looks like there are legends, and even current news of Ghost Riders all over the world, if one goes looking for them."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"I know. Just... Trying to help." Gabby frowns slightly in response as she moves from her seat toward Sara and Robbie now that it was solely Robbie. "Here," she offers quietly opening her arms to slide one around Robbie's back helping to take some of the weight off Sara. "I know I'm not my sister, but I'm good at giving hugs and you look like you need one. And a drink," she adds nodding toward Daniel who does the offering of that part.

"I'm not upset at you, just worried," she assures Robbie with a little consoling stroke to the back of his head, just like her siblings often did for her when she was upset. Nevermind she was younger than him and it might seem weird.

Daniel gets a grin in response. "Should ask my dad, he's old as dirt. Might know something somewhere."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
The hug.. catches Robbie slightly off-guard. But he doesn't refuse it. If anything, he looks fairly well chastised about what just happened, and allows her to help manhandle him into the chair, and stroke his head, while he deals with the discomfort of his burned face knitting itself back together. He may be nigh unkillable, but it doesn't mean this shit doesn't *hurt*.

Daniel's approach, and the offer of the drink are met with some reservation. He watches the other man carefully, then the drink. Then the man again. "Thanks," he mumbles. Hard to say if he's of legal age; with the freckles and everything, he looks pretty damn young. "Look man, I'm sorry about that." His gaze flickers toward Sara and Gabby nearby, then back to the other Ghost Rider. "He's just.. sometimes gets the best of me, you know? I'm, uh. Reyes. Robbie Reyes." He opts not to offer his hand.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara moves back to give Gabby hugging room, then grabs another chair to slide over and sit down. Not her first Rider rodeo, likely wouldn't be her last either, but at least no one got hurt. Reaching for her coffee she takes a drink to give herself, and Witchblade, a moment of calm.

"Don't blame you Robbie," she finally says, letting the calm seep back into her body. "It isn't easy for you dealing with the spirit you carry, I get that, you did good."

There was a moment there she though it would come to blows, that she would be in armor, bashing Eli three ways to Sunday to keep him away from Daniel. It didn't happen, but her mind had already played through all the possible ways that could have gone, and none of them were good.

"Have a piece of pizza," she then adds with a smile. "It's actually really good."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"Daniel Ketch," he hesitates to take Robbie's hand, but when he does, the handshake is firm. "We have to trade stories at some point, I guess," he offers, "I have been... haunted, for almost four years now."

Only almost four years. It feels a forever. Gabby comment about her dad makes him raise an eyebrow. "I actually wanted to ask about the spirits of vengeance to one of the older 'wizards' here," he puts quotes around wizards with his fingers, "but I have yet to pin one of them. I guess I have not been much around here."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney smiles reassuringly as she gives the hugs, and comfort, and gets Robbie set up in a chair. Nevermind that it might have been a little awkward once upon a time--Given the situation, and her recent activities, perhaps she'd moved on from that awkward stage. Or maybe she was just falling into a role she was used to.

One more shoulder-squeeze is given before she steps away to reclaim her own seat sinking down into it with the smalleset of sighs. "Yeah, the pizza is great. It's from the Ultimate Slice," she explains as if that were really something that was need-to-know about the situation. Daniel gets a grin in response along with a shrug. "Oh, he's not a wizard or anything. My family are just effectively immortal unless someone really does a number on us. I think he's from around the time the Americas were first colonized?" She wasn't sure. She wasn't sure HE was sure. Some of the stories she had heard kind of fit though.

"So... I was meaning to ask, Sara, about your armor thing? My claws are inside," she explains lifting her hand to demonstrate. The claw that shhhks out the back of her hand eminates a glow like that of moonlight, even here in the well lit room.

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Robbie looks for a moment like he's not going to accept the handshake. But then he sticks his gloved hand out, and grips the other man's solidly. They both have the potential to break fingers without even thinking about it, so he's careful to leave everything intact when he pulls back again.

He glances up at the mention of how long it's been for Daniel, and one corner of his mouth curves into a smirk. "Six for me. I was.. shit, fifteen when it happened?" Which does, at least, put him at legal drinking age now. Barely. "Already got a lecture from Rien about this shit, though," he tells Sara, toying with his gifted drink. "Ain't meaning to cause any trouble."

As for Gabby.. well, he's not much of a touchy feely person, but he seems willing to allow it in this instance. Along with a murmur of appreciation for the pizza, which he ducks his head and takes a rather large bite out of. And watches curiously as she unsheathes her claw. Not that he hasn't seen them before, but.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
"You haven't been around a lot Daniel," Sara says plainly. "But neither have the more potent and knowledgeable magic wielders."

Sitting back, she takes another drink of her coffee before setting the cup on the table. She told Gabby she'd explain and explain she will. Holding up her right wrist she pushes the sleeve back a little to reveal an intricate silver bracelet with a large red stone, and woven into it is a second bracelet with a smaller red stone.

"This is Witchblade," she explains. "This is his resting and concealed form. He is older than the earth itself, born of the goddess Gaea and the god Chthlon. He was created as a Godslayer, to create a balance in the pantheon of the of the Old Gods."

As she speaks, the tendrils of metal that formed the armor move out slowly, showing Gabby that they come directly from the bracelet, but even as they appear the bracelet disappears and the tendrils form a very intricate clawed gauntlet. On the back of the hand is the single red stone, inside which swirls like red smoke. "This is his true form, one you might see in paintings of varies females in history, dating back so long that although he and I have been joined for a little over three years, I have not yet learned all his previous wielders."

Leaving that there for now, as Gabby will likely have questions, she looks back to Robbie. "Jon, Rien and I decided that we cannot have a say over our significant others in regards to JLD business. She can lecture you as your girlfriend, but not as a leader of the JLD. That lecture comes from Jon or myself, but the truth is... you already know it. You and I already talked. As I said, you did good."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
Daniel leans back and watches Gabby, and then Sara, show off their abilities. Glowing claws are nice, but a sentient weapon from billions of years ago beats her claws and his magical bike by a light year.

That Robbie has been a Ghost Rider for longer then him is also a surprise, and shows how little attention mortals pay to supernatural affairs. Superman and Captain America are in the covers of newspapers and on TV, but Ghost Riders and vampires are relegated to rumors and myth, or blurry videos in the darknet. It feels like deliberate misinformation. Definitely something to ask to the more 'potent and knowledgeable magic wielders' too.

But changing tracks... "what is this about more rooms in this place I heard?" He asks, reaching for a slice of pizza. He just realized he is not sure when was the last time he had food.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Nice! My claws are just bone, but Rien enchanted them to be stronger and sharper," Gabby explains while regarding the Witchblade with avid interest. The claw slides back into her hand, and she gives her fingers a little wiggle as if she were adjusting for comfort. It didn't hurt but it was still an odd sensation. "Supposed to be more effective against magical types now though because of the enchantment." She doesn't add what else she normally would; that she really liked the glowing part.

"That's super useful." It takes a moment for her to glance around at everyone here when a thought strikes her. "Oh, hey! I'm the only one here that's 'solo' then, you've all got partners." A glance to Robbie apologetically, "Even if it might not always be welcomed."

With that observation made she sits back taking her drink in between both hands to just hold idly while she considers the other topic on hand. "It's tarot card themed it seems. The room was 'The Fool', and Igor, who is apparently a ..." Her lips purse together trying to figure out the best explanation. "Servant that is tied to the Velvet Room said we have to conquer the rooms in order to really unlock the powers of this place." Her head tips toward Sara in dicating the woman. "She might know a bit more on the magic side of things."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
In the shadows is right where Reyes prefers to be, though. He's no hero. He's not out to save the world. Hell, he can barely handle channeling his rage and vengeance in semi-productive ways.

At Daniel's question, he nods toward the hall that leads to the gardens, while watching Sara and her bracelet with a frown. "Yeah, last night. I was gonna go check it out in a minute here, myself." He trusts her.. mostly, particularly given everything that's just happened. But Eli, of course, is still on guard. "How's it feel?" he asks Gabby, refraining from touching the claw before it slides away again. "Any different?"

Sara Pezzini has posed:
"There are a lot of rooms throughout the castle," Sara says to add on to what Gabby said. "Each member should get a key, or has a key, which opens the door to /their/ room, but the halls move and some of the rooms move, and I'm not really thrilled about that. The garden, library, sitting room and training room never move, they will always be where they are."

Another drink of her coffee is taken before she adds, "No, I don't know where the keys come from. No, I don't know how we got this place. Yes, I am the single most clueless JLD leader in regards to magic, but I am getting better. No, I don't care that I'm mostly clueless, I can still kick all your asses." A grin plays on her lips at the last part, indication she's joking, though honestly she probably could.

"Specific questions I may have answers to at this point in regards to magic, beyond that I would suggest speaking to Jon or Rien, but Jon /is/ the Archivist. He is a walking memory of thousands of years. There is also a vast library here, could be something in there to help."

The gauntlet remains there, Witchblade is watching the room, the people on it, thus the swirling red smoke in the gem. His eye is open, and really he's watching Robbie the most, but Gabby interests him. She's something he's not come across a great deal, a mutant touched by magic.

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"A library of regular books or, you know, the magical lore we need?" Asks Daniel. Because last time he was here he had not heard about any library. The bar with free drinks was good enough! Some things are better deal with at some level of drunkenness.

"So, there are more rooms to open? Ugh, the freaking rules of magic," he grunts, remembering the crazy things the Caretaker half-explains to him when the rules allow. "We don't get the good stuff until we are worthy. And usually when we won't need it anymore, right?"

Now he takes a sip directly from the bottle.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney allows herself a little frown at the question that is posed in regards to her claws. Again her fingers flex as she contemplates the question, and her answer. "The same I guess. They didn't change in size or texture after all. The glow is from the moonlight itself, and I have to recharge the energy every equinox. If there is a difference, I can't feel it." Looking up she offers a wry grin along with a helpless shrug. "For all I know they could be burning me from the inside, though. Since I can't feel pain I don't know one way or another."

"Seriously I walked around with my guts hanging out once because I didn't feel it. Really need to get those back inside before healing, too, otherwise it's all sorts of issues." Growing more serious she pauses there to look around at the others. "For real, if you guys ever notice I'm injured, I may not know I'm hurt. So let me know, please, I won't be upset. I can still lose enough blood that I'd be in danger just... I can't *tell*." Her hands spread in exasperation. It was one of the downsides to not feeling pain even if she DID enjoy the upsets. Namely, no pain.

Again she frowns as a memory comes to her. "Died a lot recently. I think I started to hallucinate. Need to do something to check for sure." That was more to herself than the others, and she quickly shakes her head focusing back on the current group. "Right. More rooms might appear with the tarot card so I guess we just let each other know when it does. And the room wasn't so bad," she assure Robbie with a grin. "If you're not afraid of heights."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Well, the two Ghost Riders seem to be agreed on one thing, at least: magic is stupid. Robbie listens to Gabby talk about her insides falling out, and.. suddenly he looks glad he *can* feel pain. But ask him next time he has his hand chopped off by some asshole's angelic sword.

"You got it," he tells her with a faint, fleeting smile. A squeeze for her shoulder, and then he informs the others, "I gotta bail." Get out while the getting's good, right? "Sorry again, man," he tells Daniel, rapping on the table with his knuckles and making to stand.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
In response to the library, Sara shrugs. "I think there's some books on magic in there, after all we are in the astral realm, in a castle older than all of us combined. There has to be something useful in there... there is also the fact that this place seems to respond to verbal requests, so you could always try asking the library."

She turns her eyes back to Robbie, he stayed longer than she actually expected him too. Offering a nod, she says, "Take care of yourself."

Now to Gabby, one brow slightly lifted. "If I see you injured, I'll tell you," she says first. "That said, there may be a way, a ritual or spell, that could be put on clothing to tell you when your injured. Like a whisper in your mind or something."

Looking back toward Daniel she opens her mouth and her phone rings, so she closes her mouth again and pulls the phone from her pocket. "Fuck... rookie in trouble. I need to go."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"You know what? I am going to do that right now," decides Daniel, picking up the rum bottle because nothing is smarter than magical research with high grade alcohol, right?

To the retreating Robbie, he nods. "No problem. I know what it is when the Rider gets angry at something we can't understand." He still has little idea about what makes the three Spirits of Vengeance different to each other, so much lack of understanding!

Gabby being immune to pain gets filed as good things to know. That she can and has walked around with her guts hanging out was probably too much information. He can almost hear Noble's grim voice: 'Vengeance has been had; all the sinners are in great pain and suffering their due. By the way, girl, your guts are hanging out'. And that is why Daniel drinks too much.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney glances around at everyone that is getting up to go their respective ways. Given how things could have gone this was a really good result, overall. "Okay. Take care everyone. I'll be around," she remarks looking at her remaining pizza which has gone pretty cold by now. "I guess I'll clean up before heading home awhile." Home. She still had to figure out where that was these days.
