Date of Scene: 19 May 2022
Location: The Danger Room - Titan's Tower
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Koriand'r, John Stewart

Koriand'r has posed:
The invitation had been simple enough, after all Tamaranians had a zeal and lust for many things, and the excitement of martial combat was very much a part of that. After her meeting with the 'Space Law Enforcement' that was the Lantern previously, an invitation was extended to the man to meet her at the Tower, although she'd been a little vague about why she'd have to guide the other hero through the halls quite deliberately. Still, eventually the pair would find themselves in the training space, Kira stretching her arms upwards over her head.

"This room is structually strong enough to allow us to use our powers without fear of breaking things, so feel free to 'go all out' as humans say."

John Stewart has posed:
It had been a while since meeting the green eyed superheroine. Such refugees were not uncommon in the galaxy, depending on where you were... and Earth being a relative backwater to the rest of the galaxy was always a boon for those trying to hide.

Still, when his voice mail had an invitation from her for sparring? Everyone knows how powerful Lantern Power Rings are, so it was not a surprise she requested a spar.

Walking along in his Green Lantern uniform, John made no secret of being interested in the tower itself, studying it as they went. "You know who designed this place?" He asks as they get near the Danger Room.

Koriand'r has posed:
"Not specifically," Kori admits, continuing her stretching for a moment before turning to face the man lightly. "It was here before I arrived, but it has become my home here on earth. The space is fantastic and my fellow Titans are wonderful company. The kitchen is quite ample too..."

A shrug of her bare shoulders and she tilts her head to the side. "Shall we begin, when you are ready?"

John Stewart has posed:
He nods to the answer, then looks to Starfire as he enters, his eyes very lightly glowing green. "Did you have a specific form of fighting style you wanted to brush up on?" John asks.

Koriand'r has posed:
A shake of her head, Koriander lifts her hands with a giggle. "I am proficient with most kinds of combat, this is more about someone new to test myself against, and I hear that the Lanterns are a creative lot." A tilt of her head, she beckons lightly with a nod. "Please, begin when you are ready."

John Stewart has posed:
His right hand raises, and John glances to the crystal Power Ring on his finger, before looking to Starfire again with a small smile, "Our abilities are limited by our imaginations. We can construct literally anything we want... do that's not far off." John informs her.

Suddenly, John shines a bright Green as a field of some sort materializes. Then, he aims the ring at Kori and suddenly a bolt of what looks like green energy fires at her.

"Don't hold back, I can take it." John confirms for her.

Koriand'r has posed:
Well now, it seems they were starting! The bolt comes her way and Koriand'r ducks, a grin on her lips at his words before she lifts her own hand, extending her palm outwards towards the man and releasing her own bolt of green glowing energy. The starbolt loosed, she takes to the air, unleashing a small salvo from above.

John Stewart has posed:
The right hand pulls back, and suddenly John's eyes glow bright green as an angled shield is Willed into existance in front of himself, deflecting the starbolt, and forcing John to plant his feet as the shield simply takes the impact of the smaller bolts; no damage is done that Kori can see, and the shield winks out of existance, his ring aiming upwards as some sort of cannon suddenly snaps into place around him... and he aims it for Kori.

The sounds of cannon fire can be heard as green 'flak' pellets start popping off in the air around her.

Koriand'r has posed:
A shield indeed, Kori was quite glad to see the contest wasn't going to over immediately. Still, he'd said she shouldn't hold back, right? The explosions of flak filling the air around her has the Princess sweeping skywards before she ducks low and attempts to rush the man himself, a crushing -punch- unleashed from her fist against the projection in an attempt to overwhelm it and burst through, or at least force him to remove the cannon before she presses her attack.

John Stewart has posed:
Quite agile with that. He'll need to be more precise. Still, when Kori starts to divebomb, John keeps trying to hit her until the last second, at which point Kori manages to get a solid bit of the construct before John winks /it/ out of existance again.

With her clearly trying to go in for close combat, John brings up both hands in a marine CQC stance and Wills a baton of some kind into his right hand, "Bring it." John goads.

Koriand'r has posed:
Given her beams and blasts, one might expect that Koriand'r should be one to prefer range and safety...and yet, that first blow of her strength made it pretty clear that she was quite comfortable up close. Marine fighting versus the training of alien warlords that the Princess had grown up a captive of? She simply smirks at John's baiting before she lashes out. Punches, kicks, strikes of her elbow all rain down at John, attempting to keep him on the defensive.

John Stewart has posed:
As Kori attacks, John actuallly makes no attempt to go on the offensive that she can see. Instead, he defaults to what can only be described as a series of evasions and deflections... and the times when she /does/ manage a hit? That green field flares almost in protest, and John grunts just a bit, but is otherwise unharmed.

Is he testing her? It seems like it... she can definitely tell he has an air of assessment as she goes on offense.

"Never seen this style before. Tamaranian tutors aren't bad."

Koriand'r has posed:
"My turtors on Tamaran were skilled," Kori grins, swinging a fist only to freeze the hand and loose a blast of energy up close against the lantern. A suprise attack it seems? "But it was the Warlords of Ohkra who taught me their brutality and creativity." She moves back, hands raised now and beckoning for John to strike back. After all, she'd hate to feel like he was the only one facing a little danger.
