Train Train Pain Pain
Date of Scene: 24 May 2022
Location: Historic Clocktower - Training Facility
Synopsis: A bit of social interaction between Helena and Babs. Some weights are lifted, some bags are punched.
Cast of Characters: Barbara Gordon, Helena Bertinelli

Barbara Gordon has posed:
With the city lights dimmed through the large windows of the training room, the overhead lights are required to illuminate the gym area of the Clocktower. This large 'hall' has been converted to serve as the primary training section of the tower for the Birds.

Right now, Babs is here, dressed in black sport pants, and a black tanktop. Her hair is tied back on the crown of her head, and she's got a pair of dark red boxing gloves on. She's... beating the hell out of a leather punching bag!

Punch punch punch!

Her footwork is keeping her legs moving, and she's bouncing around as she whallops the bag!.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli wandered in some time later, wearing her own workout attire; sport bra, shorts and cross trainers. A glance toward Barbara but she doesn't speak up yet. Didn't want to disrupt the redhead's groove. Making her way to one of the workout mats, she selected several sets of dum bell weights and sets them down beside the mat. Dropping down, finally, she got settled and began a set of sit ups first without any of the weights.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Barbara is only at the bag for a little bit longer. Punching through her routine before she does finally stop and just starts to walk around, back and forth, beside the bag. She puts her hands on her hips, sweating and breathing heavily, as she steps over toward her stuff on a machine. It's then that she sees Helena and smiles toward her.

"Hey, you." She calls out, and since she has no music going its pretty quiet in here right now.

"Good to see someone else in here. Sometimes I think I'm gonna develop a split personality, with as much time I spend alone." She says with a little huff before reaching for her water bottle.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli glances over, "Hi Barbara. Didn't want to interrupt" she says on her way back down for another rep. Rising up again she glances over, "Yeah, isolation isn't ideal." Another rep, "Even for hardcore introverts." She doesn't slow down her reps while talking. If anything, she has increased the speed of each rep.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Babs presses a white towel to her forehead and then the sides of her face where her thick red hair leaves beads of sweat. She then tosses it over her left shoulder and sits down on a bench edge to sip at her water.

Her eyes go over to Helena who gets a sly grin from her. "I'll try not to turn in to a weirdo. But if I start to slip, I'll need good people around me to make sure to call me out on it before I fall in to pure madness." She jokes while taking another sip from the water.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli glances over again as she continues through her first set. "Wierd? But late for that. For any of us." Another rep, "Madness is still a ways off though."

Completing the first set of situps, she reaches for the smallest set of dum bells. One in each hand, she holds them up against her collar bones and lays back to begin the next set.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Barbara just grins lightly at Helena's words as she lets her eyes roam around the room. There are televisions mounted on the walls, but Babs just had camera feeds up on them watching various elements of the Tower, and of Gotham itself... ever watching.

She lets Helena have a moment to settle in to her exercises more, not wishing to overly disturb the other woman, but at an appropriate time, Babs chimes up again.

"Things going well? Been awhile since you updated me about... well... anything,a nd everything."

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli continues her set, showing the first signs of true exertion. She glances over, "Well enough yeah" she breathes out. "Ran into Hawkeye from the Avengers a few times back at Christmas." Another breath. "Had lunch a few days ago." She glance over, "Now I'm in a challenge to see who's the best shot" she says with a breathy laugh.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
This causes Babs to release a light laugh as she sets her bottle of water down, then caps it again. Her head shakes side to side as her free hand sweeps some of her fiery bangs out of her eyes. "That sounds like a difficult thing to really prove. I mean, obviously you can do target shooting. But what matters most, I'd say, is who lands the shots when they count most, you know?" She says with a sly smirk for the other woman.

"Hawkeye... the Avenger? The gruff looking guy?" She confirms then. "He's cute. He's got that... sad dopey dog look about him. I dig it."

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli smirks and nods, "Clint Barton, Hawkeye, yeah. Not the girl who also is Hawkeye." She seems to think that makes sense. In the way there are two Huntresses. Because that doesn't ever cause confusion.

She snerks, "He's nice enough, sure." Another breath. "Seems like the heart of gold sort." Her set finished, she is a bit flushed but doesn't stop other than to switch out for the next larger set of dum bells. Then she's back down to begin the next set of sit ups.

"Not really looking for anything, y'know?" A breath. Now it is getting to be a proper work out! She's sweating and breathing heavier. "Just figured you wanted more contacts in NYC." A glance to Barbara, "Figured an Avenger wouldn't be bad to know."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Barbara is picking up her phone to glance at the messages on it before its set down again on her black and white gym bag she'd brought downstairs with her. She regards Helena then and smiles lightly to her. "More New York contacts is essential, I think. There's a lot of young heros out there, aspiring to live up to legends like the Avengers. We need to offer them our resources, to help them grow in to such roles for the future. After all, my dad always said that for every hero in this world, there's a hundred more villains who will crop up to try and stomp them out."

Babs stands up then and sets her bag down on the bench where she was sitting. "I wanna know who wins this archery contest though, when it happens." She tells her friend with a smile given her way.
