Supergirls and Super-Egos
Date of Scene: 31 May 2022
Location: Central Park
Synopsis: The Ego Meets the Supergirl
Cast of Characters: Monet St. Croix, Kara Danvers

Monet St. Croix has posed:
She would enjoy flying. She's just in a general state of consistent irritation and she wants to if not cut loose then manage to find something to vent on. But alas, on this bright and sunny day in Central Park nothing is offering itself up. And Monet St. Croix has been told many times to not openly antagonize and bait people. And with recent events she is trying to adhere to that. So the tall Moroccan mutant is just walking through the park, obviously stewing.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Supergirl, on the other hand, IS flying. She's looking for the alien that she met last time she was this way in Central Park. Unfortunately, their meeting was less than communicative, and she wasn't able to get a means of contact with them. So that means going back to the park and trying to find them. She's having very little luck with that so far. So the blonde in the blue and red is hovering here and there, flying a bit, looking around more, as she uses the aerial vantage point to try to see more.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
The flying girl up in the air gets a halfway glare and then a sigh from Monet St. Croix. Oh, to be able to be so open with things and abilities. M is not ordinarily the one to care about secrecy but it's been drilled into her. She would just look up and then away in a repressed glower. That's probably noticable to Supergirl. And that sort of thing might get her attention.

Kara Danvers has posed:
It does, and while she's out looking about, Supergirl's a little too goody-goody to just ignore someone who might be in need of assistance. The glower catches her attention, and her glide brings her over in M's general direction. "Is everything all right?" she asks.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would glance up at Supergirl and answer flatly, "Yes, it is. It must be lovely; able to go up and to and fro as you wish." She would keep her expression neutral; but if the other girl did read her face closely there would be a bit of irritation.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Supergirl will land at that. "You mean flying?" she asks, curiously. "Sorry, but it's really one of the only ways to get from Metropolis here to New York in any kind of a timely fashion."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod, "Yes, to have the freedom to fly wherever one wants without having to go through all the -efforts- of arranging things." She might actually be jealous.

Kara Danvers has posed:
The blonde looks confused, or at least slightly so. "I'm sorry? I realize that humans can't fly, and I know that might seem unfair." She's not really sure how to address the issues Monet seems to be having (of course, let's be honest; Monet-wrangling is like handling a minefield.)

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Oh yes, the simmering is there. "... It is. To be openly flaunting it.." Monet is irritable. It is nothing remotely against Supergirl; the other girl is just presenting an easy target for her.

Kara Danvers has posed:
"Well, it's just the most effective way to find what I'm looking for. But everyone has different talents and abilities. I'm sure there are things you're great at that I'm not." Supergirl says, trying to be tactful about it.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Those eyes are narrowed in borderline hostility. "Oh, I would -doubt- that." Monet manages to restrain herself, "I'm sure that one of your caliber is far, far beyond what any of the rest of us can do." Ther'es at least restraint there!

Kara Danvers has posed:
Supergirl shakes her head. "Not at all!" I mean, sure. Kryptonians are hard to match on any kind of a physical scale. But there are other benchmarks. "I honestly don't know much about this world. You probably have a lot easier time dealing with other people than I do."
