Emma Frost has posed:
There seems to always be some sort of social function going on in one bar or club or another at the Hellfire Club, and tonight is no exception. The German pub and eatery within the Club's confines is hosting an 'Oktoberfest in April' event this evening.

The taps are full and pouring freely as several bartenders tend their patrons with a plethora of good hefeweisens, dunkelweiss, tripels, and other flavorful brews. For those not inclined by choice or age to imbibe, there's also a special trio of taps with a micro brewed root beer, cream soda, and ginger beer.

The tables and booths are fairly full, and the serving staff are quick to bring out any of the items on the menu tonight:

Schweinebraten (roast pork), Schweinshaxe (roasted ham hock), Roast Chicken, Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick), Würstl (sausages), Brezen (pretzels... served with beer cheese and two kinds of mustard), Chicken or Pork Schnitzel with Sauerkraut, Reiberdatschi (potato pancakes), fruit-filled Kuchens (a type of coffee cake), Apple and Berry Strudels, and Rouladen (Beef strips rolled with bacon, onion, and pickles), as well as sides of potato salad, Knödel (potato dumplings), Käsespätzle (cheese noodles), Speckbohnen (green beans with 'speck', a type of bacon), Kohlrouladen (stuffed cabbage rolls), Rotkohl (red cabbage), and of course Sauerkraut.

The din of conversation in the room keeps to a dull roar, and folks seem pretty pleased overall.

One of the larger tables not too far from the bar itself has a placard that says 'Reserved for members of the Board and guests'. Seated at that table is Emma Frost, already on her second beer of the night with a pile of pretzels, spätzle, and a large piece of Kuchen she doesn't look too inclined to share. At her side is Alex Summers, sitting next to Sebastian Shaw where he sits at the head of the table, as owner of the club and one of the heads of the board, so that they can talk freely as needed.

Dick Grayson has posed:
It's Oktoberfest in April! And Dick Grayson had made a deal with Bette Kane for the evening. Arriving at the Hellfire Club in a rented car since a Dollotron had //blown up his car// the night before, he pulls up to the valet and waits for the door to be opened before he steps out. At his hips, he's wearing a pair of very comfortable kid leather lederhosen of a light brown color, but the tanning process has added in some darker whorls and marks.

Along the waist and belt line are embroderied designs of a mount goat ascending up his sides, and a pair of matching suspenders are worn over a white and green checkered Bavarian style shirt with long sleeves. The lederhosen end just above his knees, and below his knees is a pair of climbing socks that go down to brown leather and suede hiking shoes.

Perched on his hat is an alpine fedora of dark green, with a colorful feather of red, white and yellow perched in the hat band, a deferrment to his date as he rounds the rented Corvette to open the door to offer his hand to her.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake has found himself a nice hefeweisen and a big soft brezen with cheese and is about as happy as can be even as he eyes the strudel for later. He's managed to find himself a place to squeeze into at the bar and has eeked out just enough room for his plate and his stein, and that seems to be enough for him for the time being. He swivels idly, back and forth, turning around to lean back against the bar as he tears off a hunk of pretzel, dips it in cheese and takes a bite -- enjoying the people watching.

He has not dressed up for the event, in his usual jeans and a plain white long-sleeved shirt with a light jacket on over it, dark blue chucks on his feet. He does, however, totally appreciates the outfits of those who chose to dress up, giving them broad grins and a salute with his stein whenever he sees one go by.

Kate Kane has posed:
If a place was going to celebrate alcohol, Kate Kane felt the need to make an appearance. It'd been a while since her last public apperance anyway, so it was about that time to make one. Glad that this isn't one of those fancy get-togethers, she's made sure to wear appropriate attire, namely black jeans, a Ramones t-shirt, and a black leather jacket. Which also happened to be perfect garb for the bike ride into town to show up.

She stares out at the offerings on display, not quite sure where to start first. Another patron bumps into her, and while the dude apologizes, she can't help but wince from the pain of last night's fun and games. Slowing her breath, she tries to breathe through it. Yep, it was time to go and get a beer.

Moving further into the the Rathskeller, she looks over the food offerings, giving the Rouladen a particular eye, but she still keeps heading towards the taps.

Henry McCoy has posed:
German beer. German food. Possibly German music. Of course Dr. McCoy is going to be in attendance! The Beast is dressed nicely - crisp slacks, wide shoes and a dark button-down shirt. He stepped into the affair, taking a deep breath and savoring the aroma of all the ethnic foods. A big grin spreads over his face, as he starts towards an available table. Time to eat, drink and be merry. Lass die Feier beginnen!

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna had needed a break from her duties in Genosha, and so, back to the club the young Queen went. She was showered and slapped together an outfit. She was exhausted, and had slept poorly. A black button up shirt, and a pair of slacks were all that she'd bothered with. Her sleeves were rolled up to her elbows, and her eyeshadow was a smear of shadow to try to hide the shadows that hung around her from a lack of sleep. The fact that other X-men and the alike were there, meant a great deal for Lorna and she exhaled a breath as she made her way inside, and spotted Emma and Alex at the large booth.

An assumption was quickly made and she went over past the sign clearly labelled who was supposed to be there or not. "Emma!" She smiled weakly, "I was hoping to catch you at some point. Hey Alex. Mister Shaw." She nodded to each in turn.

Bette Kane has posed:
"You should make sure you save pictures." Bette points out to Dick as she takes the offered hand and she steps out of the car, her other hand smoothing out the dirndl that she's wearing. Where she found one at such short notice, who knows. But it's spring colors in honor of it being April. Robin's egg blue with a crips white apron and yellow and red wildflower accents.

It is probably not super noticable to people, but she seems to be holding one arm a little less relaxed then normal, like it was recently injured. By a rotten Dollotron.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex can't help but enjoy the pub; it's why he originally ended up out here. And he has pleasant associations with it despite it actually having good beer and food, in that it's where he first met Emma Frost. A good dark brew in a tankard, and a plate of roast pork and pretzels with some potato dumplings on the side complete his food choices for the evening. He has not, however, dressed up to the extent that others have, preferring to wear more simple jeans, green henley, and boots.

Though somewhere, he did acquire an alpine fedora in a similar green color with a blue feather that he's got perched on his head. Just to get into the spirit of things as he talks and laughs with the people at his table.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex pauses to wave to Lorna. "Lorna, hey! Nice to see you here...a bit more laid back than the last event, hmm?"

Dick Grayson has posed:
Dick chuckles, "Oh, totally pictures." he agrees easily, letting Bette settle her sore arm on his to keep it elevated and provide her with more protection as he leads the way to the Rathskeller. Stepping into the pub, he looks around, taking in the music, the sights, sounds... and the smells of the delicious food on display. Then he notices the outfits of most of the others.

"Ich denke wir sind von Touristen umgeben." he comments teasingly to Bette before switching back to English. "You look amazing, by the way. Love the braids. And we totally rock these outfits." And that's his story and sticking to it as he moves to lead her to the bar for a drink.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma leans a bit against Alex and lifts her glass towards Lorna. "Lorna! I'm glad you could join us tonight. Feel free to take Selene's seat," she gestures at the seat across from her. "Not like her royal whateverness will join us tonight. Too many of the peasantry in the room, you know."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr has elected to join the others to visit the Rathskeller for the Oktoberfest, which actually sounded as mostly wholesome fun and worth going to. He has donned a decent button-up and khakis to join the festivities. With a stein in one hand, the large Russian meanders with a pretzel to munch on while he takes his time to select which he should go for next in the menu, occasionally taking a drink from time to time.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty wasn't sure who had left the notice about the early Oktoberfest celebration for her. It was stuck into the gap between her door and the frame, waiting for her when she'd returned to her room.

At first she'd set it aside in her room and gone on to do other things. It wasn't until earlier today that she'd spied it while roaming about her room listlessly and taken it up, considering it for a few moments. Those moments had given rise to a trip into the city, dressed in a blue and white top that leaves her shoulders bare, and a pair of dark pants.

The young woman walks into the unfamiliar building, glancing around at the preparations and decorations. Her ponytail swings behind her as she looks about starts to spot a few familiar faces in the crowd. A surprised but pleased look results, and she slowly makes her way further inside.

Glorianna Silver has posed:
Tonight, Glorianna has dressed herself in something more casual with a hint of the flare for the occasion. SHe has on a pair of jeans but at the top of the jeans leather bodice with red and green lacing sits over where a belt would be and works its way up her waist to just under her chest and lifts. Under it a white blouse is left open at the top, just hinting at what is beneath and goes out over her upper arms, leaving shoulders bare for straps form the bodice to flow over her shoulders and down her back. Dancing across her bared upper chest is the one thing out of place, that large red gem stone she is never seen without.

Glorianna moves through the crowd first toward the busy bar to retrieve herself a stein of beer. She owned a few but she wanted to get something for the occasion and even has a couple of extras who, while allowed to enjoy the festivities, know that they are also there to assist when called upon. She smiles as she approachess, even as one of her people finds a table and orders a Schweinshaxe and a roasted chicken for her table. When she spots the board members she offers merely a smile and a nod before turning her gaze back to the bar. A finger slightly caressing the stone at her neck.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Entering the Rathskeller proper, Pietro strolls in. He is dressed in perfectly suitable, and normal, attire...with a dark green turtleneck, black jeans, and nice leather shoes. Nothing too extravagant, but certainly comfortable. Wandering in, a pretzel is snagged with one hand while one of the bartenders just hands Pietro a glass. Pietro murmurs a thank you, then migrates towards the middle of the bar, those blue eyes taking in the sights.

First, he notices the guest table, and notes the individuals occupying that. Lorna earns a slight smile, while the others, if they happen to notice, will receive a nod in turn. Those eyes then drift across the room, and alight on the individual wearing *actual* lederhosen. The individual is given a passive, flat stare, for at least three seconds, before Pietro just shakes his head and turns to walk on...away from there.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna took the offered seat with ease, a flash of a smile appearing on her features again as she noticed the menu and placed her order for food. "I just got back from being on Genosha for the past several days. There was an issue when I arrived. A telepath got the jump on me.. and it as quite brutal. The different factions are starting to shake out." She grimaced and sighed heavily. Which is when she noticed her older brother's arrival. She waved toward him, "Pietro!" And she blinked... did his outfit change...? Oh. Huh.

A blink and she looked back toward those at her table. "I'm so happy to be eating something other than an MRE tonight."

Bette Kane has posed:
"Are you sure that we're not..." Bette starts, looking around at the fact everyone else seems to have opted for jeans. And not traditional Oktoberfest style clothing. Because now, apparently, she's a small bit self-concious about the entire thing.

For the ten seconds it takes her to get distracted by the arrival of the bar, and the fact that there is beer to order. Which she does, and adds as literally the only German she knows, "In das boot?"

Kate Kane has posed:
Kate gets relatively close to where Emma and a few others are at and she offers her a slight wave of her hand. "Hey Emma, I see the Club has really gone hard on celebrating here, got any recommendations for what brews to try first? Or is it one of those days when we should try out each one?"

Emma Frost has posed:
The bartender chuckles at Bette and fixes her drink, in a large clear glass boot, easily holding about 32 oz of beer.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
Sebastian Shaw is dressed casually for once, if not fully "in character." A white and gray pinstriped dress shirt, sleeves rolled up to just below the elbow, a pair of gray dress paints and some plain old four-figure dress shoes. He rises to his feet when Lorna approaches, and at Emma's invitation he nods and gestures to the indicated seat as well, "By all means, Lorna, Emma is right, feel free to join us."

He settles back down, a half-full Marzenbier and half-eaten plate of wurst, potato salad, and sauerkraut before him. In a rare event, his omnipresent assistant Tessa is nowhere to be seen at the moment, though somehow it probably seems more likely to any that know her that she's working on something else, because "time off" seems anathema to her.

"Personally I recommend the Marzenbier, Ms. Kane, but I'm a bit of a stickler for tradition on that. Good to see you here, by the by." He lifts his mug of dark-amber colored beer towards her in salute.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Just as he was about to order, Dick gets a buzz on his phone. Glancing at it, he frowns. "It's the office. I'm going to having to go in." With that, he sends a text back.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The white-haired Pietro deviates from his course, directing himself over towards Lorna and the others. He remains standing, but ensures that he pays proper respect to Shaw and Frost, with a slight bow to Shaw first. "Mr Shaw, a pleasure to see you." Of course it is just lip service, but at least Pietro knows how to play nice. A turn to Emma. "And you as well, Emma."

Then, niceties aside, he turns to Lorna, gauging her surprise with mild amusement. "What? Expected me to walk in with full leather lederhosen like some others milling about?" A short laugh is given, definitely tinged with sarcasm. "Really, Lorna. I do know how to relax, from time to time."

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake lifts his stein in greeting to those who he recognizes when they get close to the bar area, not too far from the table where Emma and Alex is. He, however, stays over at the bar rather than approaching that particular zone. He seems in a celebratory mood, though, and should there be drinking songs, he may even sing along with one or two, even if he doesn't know the words -- because after a certain point -- do they really matter? For the moment though, he seems to be devouring that pretzel, and eyeing some of the other offerings.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Hank nods to some familiar faces - Kitty, Bobby, Piotr, Lorna and Pietro - before finding himself a place to sit. A healthy serving of the various delicacies are ordered, along with a large stein of Hacker-Pschorr Märzen. He rubs his hands together, eagerly awaiting the delivery of the delicous dinner fare.

After the order is taken, he sits back in his chair - yellow eyes peering over the crowd and people-watching. A simple pasttime, truth be told, but one with so much variety.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna smiled at Shaw, "Thank you, I appreciate it. I wouldn't know where to go otherwise." She murmured, and a glass of a German white, an Auslesse from some years ago, was settled on the table in front of her. Her usual order when she dined there. She tucked her hair back from her face, taking a sip of her drink. She sipped at her wine, waiting for her food order, which was likely to arrive shortly, as she glanced toward her older brother. "Yes! Partly.. Maybe?" She snickered softly into her drink and exhaled a breath. Which is when she noticed Kitty, and other X'ers. She waved a hand, smiling as she glanced back to Alex and Emma.

"How are you two doing?"

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex looks vaguely amused he doesn't even rate notice from Pietro, but then again, considering the table he's sitting at he shouldn't be suprised. He takes a swig from his stein, idly watching people as they arrive, his eyes curious. He waves to those he recognizes from the mansion should they look his way, of course, but he hasn't had a chance to really get to know a lot personally as of yet. He's working on it! it's a big mansion!

"Quite a few people here I actually know this time." Alex muses. "Well, sort of know."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr is busy deciding on what entre to go for when he notices a few of his colleagues from the X-Men were present and walks over to Kitty while waving at Henry and Bobby to catch their attention, mouthing "Over here!" to them. He tries to say to them and says to Kitty, "Glad I'm not the only one from the school who showed up." Piotr grins and gestures to the other two after he sips from his stein, "Also, the food is amazing." As made obvious by the quarter of preztel remaining in his hand.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde sees the nod from Henry McCoy and flashes him a soft smile back. The wave from Lorna is returned in kind, Kitty just raising a hand back in a motionless wave towards the green-haired woman. She looks like she's still deciding where to go, when Piotr approaches her. "I didn't know anyone else was coming. Or, well, someone left me the info on my door but no idea who or if they were going," she says. "I decided maybe getting away for a night might be good though," she says.

Kitty looks at Piotr and smiles to him. "Good to see you out and about too," she tells him. "I'll have to stick to the food I'm afraid. Frustrating to be back home and not be able to drink anymore," she says as she glances at his stein. "How is it?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake notices that Henry's managed to find himself an actual table, and so he slides away from the bar, grabbing his plate, and his stein, and makes his way over to the table, grinning at Piotr as he gets closer. "Look, Hank's got a table. Want to invade? I'm invading." And like an invasive species, he slides right on in to a chair at the table with a grin. "Everything smells amazing, right?" he says as he does so.

Glorianna Silver has posed:
After having grabbed her beer, and knowing her food is being handled, Glorianna moves back over to the main part of the room, looking around at the people that are here. She does actually recall a couple of them, smiling as she walks over to where Henry McCoy is sitting.

"Hello again." She states simply enough, "I recall you from the recent celebration in the VIP room." She nods her head and sips from her beer stein before nodding to him, "Mind if I join you?" She asks and then if there's a seat open, she simply sits down without really waiting for permission.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma elbows Alex lightly. "A little stressed, I admit, but Alex is too stubborn for his own good most days." She gives Alex a look of no small amount of admiration as she says so. "Things are going better than I expected, and I think I might even keep him," she teases, leaning over to place a light kiss on his cheek. "But tonight is for good beer and good food and friends."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Well, at least Pietro finds Lorna's reaction amusing, too. He doesn't seem all that angry at all. It could be that he has a beer glass in hand, the contents slowly draining. "Just because it is an Oktoberfest doesn't mean everyone has to  dresslike a tourist's fabrication of a German citizen. It's almost insulting, really, to some. And gloriously amusing to me."

Alex actually does, finally, get a greeting from Pietro. Those, it is most likely because Pietro is less, well, his usual aloof self.

Henry McCoy has posed:
First a call over from Piotr. Henry motions to the table he has, inviting the big Russian his way. "Come on, be comfortable." He replies, politely. Then Bobby is settling in - no complaints from the Beast. "Bobby, how are you doing?" He asks, smiling over to the young man. "Enjoying the Germanic delights?"

As Glorianna arrives, the furry blue man gets to his feet, polite as always. "Miss Silver, pleasure to see you again. Yes, please, join us." The man offers, sitting once she's settled in. "Miss Glorianna Silver, this is my friend Mr. Bobby Drake." He introduces.

Kate Kane has posed:
"Thank you, Mr. Shaw, I'll give the Marzenbier a try." Kate bows her head to the head of the Hellfire Club. Making good on her desire to give the selections a try, she makes her way over to the bar and puts in an order for the Marzenbier. Taking up the offered mug in hand, she takes a quick swig of the beer while her hazel eyes scan the room. Catching sight of the group that seems to be forming up, she rolls her shoulders, winces as pain flares up in one of them, and then walks on over to where the tall guy, Piotr, Kitty and company. "So, hope no one minds if I come over here to say hi." She looks at Piotr and says, "You are a pretty large dude, do you lift?"

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"Mr. Maximoff, a pleasure as always." Shaw's reply is likely not-entirely-sincere either, but he plays it well. At Emma's comment to Lorna he adds with a bit of a mischievous gleam in his eye "We're also celebrating Mr. Summers' new job." Sebastian notes to Emma, giving a brief, amused grin towards Emma and Alex, "He's just been selected for an internship in Shaw Industries' Environmental Conservation department."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex nods to Pietro. "Besides, finding a costume like that take time and money and I'm not really up on wandering around in liederhosen anyway." he says goodnatured, his mind idly wandering...if they get enough women with unusual hair colors here, could they get a rainbow going? Hmmm...

Which is promptly derailed as Emma elbows him and he lets out a faint woof, straightening up and grinning a bit at the kiss. "I'm not stubborn, I'm just very set in my course when it's worthwhile." he counters goodnaturedly. "Things are going pretty well. I have my dissertation wrapped up and sent off nearly, then it's just waiting for the defense."

Alex Summers has posed:
"And yes, the new job...which I'm very lucky to have, honestly." Alex adds, smiling at Shaw. "I'm looking forward to it."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty smiles over to Bobby and Hank as they sit together, giving the younger man a wave of greeting when he looks her way. She turns back to Piotr and says, "Feel like going over and joining them? I can go find some of that food in a bit."

The brunette glances up as Kate Kane approaches the pair. "Hello," Kitty replies back, along with, "No, we don't mind at all. Seems like a festive enough night, doesn't it?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake looks up as Glorianna comes to join them at the table and he gives her a friendly smile in greeting as well, lifting his stein in salute. "Nice to meet you, Miss Silver." But since Hank has already made the introductions, he doesn't give his name a second time. Then he does answer Henry's question and says, "Doing alright. Ready to graduate. Then, I'll be teaching full time. Just a little bit left." He grins at Kitty and waves her and Piotr over as well. "Have you met Kitty and Piotr?" he asks Glorianna.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr smiles at Kitty, "I saw the flier as well, still not sure who dropped it off. Caught it before the new room mate was able to get it, the little tyke likes to play with paper." He takes a sip, "Currently just a hefeweisen, it's not bad though." He looks over to the stands, "But the root beer and ginger beer were both pretty good, tried them both already. Will be switching back to ginger beer after this, though."

Bobby's arrival gts a nod, "I saw, and yes, the food and most of the beverages are pretty good, but I have only had a preztel for the former so far. Having trouble picking." He nods to Kitty, "Sounds like a plan." Kate's remarks get a nod, "I lift from time to time, but please, join us!"

Kate Kane has posed:
Kate smiles over at Kitty, "Thanks! My name's Kate, Kate Kane. I don't usually make my way into New York, but something like this? Perfect opportunity for a road trip, I say." She grins and looks to Piotr and laughs, "It looks like it. Anyway, what fliers are you talking about? I got a buzz on my phone about it, but that might have been something they did for members." She shrugs, wincing slightly, lifting the mug up to take a sip to try and hide the wince.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna smiled briefly, pushing herself away from the table and picking up her purse again. She hooked it over her shoulder. "I gotta run to the lady's room. Please excuse me. I'll be right back." She murmured, glancing to Pietro. "Don't eat all of my food while I'm gone." She teased, and pushed her chair in as she got up and made to track down where ever the nearest facilities existed.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma grins at Alex. "You'll do great. Internships lead to much better things down the road, after all. And Shaw is a good place to work." She gives Shaw a look, "Perhaps not as good as Frost, depending on who you ask, but." She seems in a very great mood this evening.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"Your food is safe, Lorna." Mainly because there is enough of it around for Pietro to not bother raiding his sister's selections. Speaking of food, the pretzel that was in his hand seems to have disappeared. Wonder where that went?

With a step aside to allow Lorna to pass, Pietro turns to regard Alex. "Congratulations, then, upon your internship. I trust it shall be rather educational for you." What does that supposed to mean? Pietro doesn't bother to provide an explanation as already his attention seems to be straying, eyes drifting to take in other tables.

Glorianna Silver has posed:
"A pleasure." She respondes to Bobby and then looks over at PIotr and Kitty before shaking her head, "I have not had the pleasure, no." She states as she sips her drink. She then raises a hand and waves over at one of the two that came with her. One smiles brightly and nods and comes over. Glorianna looks up at him, "Be a dear and have them bring my food here. Also add in an extra roast chicken, four Brezen..." She stops and looks around, "Will four pretzels be enough for everyone?" She looks to Hank and smiles, "You look like a man who could eat quite a bit..." She considers before they answer, "Make it six Brezen, a Pork and Chicken Schnitzel and then a selection of strudel." She nods her head.

The man nods politely and rushes off before she looks over to the others, "All on me of course, feel free to enjoy yourselves." She raises her stein, "To new aquaintences." She nods her head.

Henry McCoy has posed:
There's no stopping of Glorianna in ordering more food for the table. Hank simply chuckles. "Speedy metabolism, for the most part. I am sure the food will be put to good use, Miss Silver. How have you been doing since the charity event?" He asks, grinning.

A smile to Bobby, and a nod. "I look forward to your commencement, and joining faculty." There is certainly no denying his joy at the thought of more teachers. "I think we're going to have a few more alumni signing up to teach." A sage nod, looking to the others.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde offers her name to Kate and Glorianna at the same time. "Kitty Pryde," she says, "Nice to meet you," the teen tells them along with a soft smile of greeting. "Oh, just a note about the event. We're not members," Kitty says, glancing to Piotr to confirm what she's pretty sure is the case for him as well.

"Bobby, don't go eating everything before we get a chance to grab a plate," she says with a grin for him. "Piotr, I'm going to go grab some food, can get you a plate too if you like," she says, the girl having a pretty fair idea of what direction Piotr's culinary preferences lie. She waits to hear his answer and then heads over to get a pair of plates from where the food is being served.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller shows up late, which isn't exactly surprising for him. He's got a dark blue jacket and pink shirt, along with slacks. He's got a pair of designer sunglasses pushed up on his forehead, having shown his credentials and getting let in. "Ugh, I hope there isn't too much sauerkraut. I'm not a fan of cabbage. It smells like poverty," he says as an aside to Gabby, whom he brings along as his guest.

"Be careful, teachers and authorities lurking about, pretending to be fun," he says to her.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake opens his mouth when Gloriana starts to order and then abruptly closes it again. He's not going to shy away from the gift of food. Particularly considering how good everything smells. He dips his head and says, "Thanks, Miss Silver. That's kind of you."

Bobby already teaches, but only part time, and he does a lot of tutoring. "I definitely look forward to doing more. Yeah? Who else is going to be teaching?" He seems interested to know if it's anyone he wasn't already aware of. Then he feigns a shocked look at Kitty, "Me? Okay, I'll try not to.. but.. it will be hard. I make no guarantees." He flashes her a grin, and continues to make his way through the pretzel in front of him, finishing it off.

Alex Summers has posed:
"Thank you. I expect it will." Granted, there are other reasons Alex is pleased to have the internship locked down, but those are more private at this point. He grins at Emma. "Mm, it might be a...whatchacallit, conflict of interest if I was working for you, though." he says with a chuckle. "Working alongside you works much better in that sense."

He sees Gabby and Julian making their way in and tosses a wave their way...mostly Gabby, but Julian gets one too. The younger Summers still cheerfully oblivious to Julian's feelings on certain pairings.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney steps in beside Julian though she's already hopping up onto her toes in an attempt to get a better look around. This was her first time in the Hellfire Club in any part of it--And this one smelled reeeally good. "I don't know what that is," she admits to Julian about sauerkraut, "But I smell meat and I see desserts and that's good enough for me!" Glancing back at him with a grin she nudges her chin toward the areas she spoke of. "Find a place first or grab some grub?"

She's at least dressed up some herself. Quite a bit really. A little lacy black dress is worn along with black leggings, and ankle boots with juuust a tad of heel to maybe give her another half inch of height. She'd take what she could get in that department. Other than that, she had a very colorful display of hair ties around her wrist like some weird bracelets.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr looks to Kate, "They were dropped off at our residences, nothing special," he shrugs, "So I figured others I knew would be here." He laughs at Kitty's remark to Bobby and says, "Some of the roasted pork sounds good, though if it's easier just get two of whatever you were going to get." The large Russian stretches his neck and relaxes a little and says to the others in their little knot, "Well, it certainly is a fun little party, though I would advise good behavior, as it seems students are present."

Glorianna Silver has posed:
"I am a memeber, Miss Pryde and don't worry about food. A nything you want is on my tab and I have plenty coming this way." She nods her head, "Any friend of Dr. McCoy's is a friend of mine." She nods her head before looking ove rat the other people here, hmming softly as she considers those here before she looks then to the table once more and smiles as she waves a hand, "Miss Kane." She recognizes the face, "Glorianna Silver. I have not had the pleasure to meet you in person but I have heard of you." She nods before glancing to Piotr and giving him a once more before smiling a little wider.

Henry McCoy has posed:
The Beast feigns dismay at Piotr's comment. "My good sir, I always behave." He grins, winking to the Russian. His food arrives, along with the large stein of dark beer. "Miss Silver, your generosity is appreciated. Thank you." A polite nod of his head. "Shall we all enjoy? The food smells so good, I can hardly wait to dig in." The napkin is placed on his lap, a grin on his face.

At Bobby's question, he grins. "I'm not at liberty to say at the moment, but I have advised that I will give a good recommendation to Charles regarding the interested party."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller smiles to Gabby, "Ah, no need to choose with me around," he says. He guides her to a table relatively near the selection of food, "So, what do you crave, milady?" he asks in a teasing voice.

His eyes glow green momentarily as his TK snags a few plates, having them float along in between tables and start to assemble various goodies. Is there a bit of dripping here in there? Sure. Does he break one of the plates and have to start over? Okay, fine. But ultimately, he's getting the job done, gathering whatever food Gabby wants and some of his own choices and floating them to his table.

Kate Kane has posed:
"Cool, nice to meet you Kitty. Love the name by the way." She gives the young woman a quick grin and at the mention of food she pipes up, "Oh, the Brazen is good stuff, as is the Knodel." She nods and then looks at Piotr. "Gotcha, well, always cool to see new people around here. Sometimes it's all a bunch of stuffy suits, so these more laid back events are fun and different." She looks past at Glorianna and smiles, "Hey Miss Silver, always good to see you around. Brezen or Knodel, which is your preference?" And then she's looking at Beast and grins. "Why always behave? Life has to be worth living sometimes."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde gives Glorianna a big, grateful smile. "Thank you, that's very kind of you. It's quite the amazing place. I had no idea it was here," Kitty tells her. She'll wait for the servers to bring the food over instead, and adding an order for a non-alcoholic root beer.

Kitty glances to the big Russian. "And Piotr, I didn't cook any of it, so it's edible," Kitty assures him with a small, self-deprecating smile. She's probably tried to cook for him in the past. The results likely didn't burn down the mansion, but neither would they have been entirely pleasant to eat.

Kitty slides into her chair. "So Bobby, what are you planning to do after the school year's up?" she asks him. She looks over to Hank and asks, "And you, any plans for the coming summer? Research somewhere?" she asks him.

Kate earns a bright smile from Kitty with her comment. "Thank you. Short for Katherine, though I answer to about every nickname you can imagine. So, where are you in town from?" Kitty asks Kate.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"Oh I have no doubt we'll keep Mr. Summers busy." Shaw replies with a chuckle, though he looks back to Alex, grinning impishly at his "Conflict of interest" comment, "Well fortunately you don't have to worry about that, but I do want you to be aware that we encourage you to continue your formal education as well. If you've aspirations towards a Doctorate, if you move to a permanent position after the Internship we have a generous tuition reimbursement program, which can be backdated to the start of your internship." And with that carrot dangled, Shaw lifts his beer again in Alex and Emma's direction, grinning a bit, with a look towards Emma specifically that seems to convey a bit of mischief, before taking another healthy gulp of the dark-golden beer.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney had just begun to glance back toward Julian when she catches sight of that wave from Alex. Her own hand shoots up to wave in return with a wide grin. She almost calls out, but catches herself before trying to yell across a crowded room. Besides, Emma was right there along with some other stuffy important looking people. "Oh, that sounds good then!" She agrees as she moves over to the buffet with Julian.

A few items are pointed out, and she eyes the rootbeer with obvious delight. Oh that was going to be a thing. In a beer stein. YASS. When he accidentally breaks a plate she steps over to pick up the broken bits to throw away. Then she grins at Julian again. "You're getting so much better," she crows cheerfully. "Let's go say hi to Alex and Emma!" She suggests as she moves to grab a beer stein to fill with rootbeer. "You want one too? I can grab the drinks," she offers. Then again he might get something more than that.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma smirks at Shaw. <<I see what you're doing,>> she sends to him idly, but there's no malice there, more amusement than anything. "In any event, Alex, at leats you have one less thing to worry about beyond getting your disseration finished."

Bobby Drake has posed:
"It's okay, I never do," Bobby chimes in when Henry says that he always behaves, flashing another smile, though that's not entirely true. He is more than capable, he just sometimes chooses not to. Then he gives a squint-eyed sidelong look at Hank when he mentions being not at liberty to disclose the possible party. "How very cloak and dagger." But he presses no further, apparently content to wait. He takes another swallow from his beer and waits for the food to arrive.

When Kitty slides into her chair he grins and says, "Take a little break, maybe go somewhere warm and sunny, lay around on a beach for a while, chill some drinks, people watch. I don't know. Hadn't thought about much beyond graduation and being glad to finally be done before I start teaching full time in the fall."

Jean Grey has posed:
Jean was, of course, invited, but one thing leading to another had her being not-quite-so-fashionably late. But still, better late than never, as she walks in. Currently she's wearing a shimmering green dress, the fabric flattering her figure while still being quite respectable. Her eyes flicker around, as she sees quite a few familiar faces.

Firstly, she angles towards Emma, and whoever happens to be standing next to her, flashing a smile to the other telepath as she sends, << Sorry about that, got tied up with a few things. >>

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The momentary green glow catches Pietro's eye...followed immediately by the floating plates gliding past. That....is interesting. Enough for him to wander away from the table with Sebastian, Emma and Alex, with a murmured "if you would excuse me..." He doesn't immediately walk over to the other table. Instead, he rotates around, those blue eyes surveying the seemingly growing group of X-people. The face remains passive...but there are thoughts certainly going on.

    Really, really quick thoughts.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Henry pauses his conversation to raise his stein, exclaiming to the table. "Prost!" A long sip is taken, foam at his lip fastiduously wiped away after. A nod to Kitty, grinning. "Plenty of research to be done, plenty of secrets to unravel." A nod. "How about yourself?" A look to Piotr after. "How goes your adopted pet, Piotr?"

A wink is offered to Bobby, Henry clearly in good spirits. "Not really, but it's not my secret to tell Bobby. So I will simply say, I have faith in the candidate." A nod. As Kate mentions not behaving, those who know Hank well might see a bit of discomfort, blushing under his blue fur. "Well, I cannot argue to that point, Miss..." A pause. "I'm Dr. Henry McCoy, pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

Alex Summers has posed:
"Well, being employed does help wonderfully for going for a doctorate...as it's either that or a lot of educational loans." Alex says dryly, nodding to Shaw. "I've no problem with hard work in the meantime." The flash of red hair at the door draws his attnetion before he waves to Jean, smiling to see her as she walks over. //Huh, wow, this feels like the reverse of the cupcake thing, instead of sending it out to them, they're coming to you.// he thinks at Emma amusedly. "Hey Jean, nice to see you! How's things?" he says thoughfully. He can't exactly ask about what hijinks are happening at the mansion in public, of course. He suspects there's always something though.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr takes a drink and nods to Glorianna, "Thank you for your generosity. I am Piotr Rasputin," he says politely and nods to Kitty and says, "It's all good, I trust your judgement," The tall Russian grabs a seat for himself. His real weakness is the difficulty in finding a chair built for someone of his size and build. He sets his stein down and spends the next few moments trying to get comfortable. When Hank inquires, Piotr says, 'Getting a bit used to it. So far the kitten has taken to the litter and food well, the vet was not worried about it at all, though apparently it is supposed to grow to be very large."

Kate Kane has posed:
"Katherine is a great name, so many nicknames to come from it." Kate says, grinning at Kitty. "Anyway, I live in Gotham City. Are you all from New York then? It's a fun town to hang in, but Gotham just has that... -something- to it." She shrugs. "It's home." Lifting the glass to her lips, she takes a long sip and tries to mentally clamp down on her shoulder. "Ugh." Putting the glass to the side, she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small bottle of pills, popping it open and throwing two back into her mouth and swallowing them. As she slips the pill bottle back into her jeans and looks at Hank. "Kate Kane, but please call me Kate, and it's nice to meet you Dr. McCoy. I really dig the blue fur, it looks rad."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller glances over towards Emma and Alex at Gabby's prompting. There's a moment where he almost feels his old resentment spring up but he swallows it and nods, "Yeah, sure, of course," he says. He helps to carry the plates. He doesn't really know Alex well (or even Emma, regardless of his longstanding crush), so he lets Gabby take point in terms of making any greetings.

"I've been working on it," he says to Gabby regarding his work on controlling the strength of his TK. It's not the only thing he's been working on.

Glorianna Silver has posed:
A smile to Kate, "I am technically from Norway but for someone in my line, it really doesn't feel like I have a home anywhere." She shakes her head, her voice barely having an accent. She looks over at Hank again as he speaks and hmms as she turns her gaze to Bobby, "Ah, you are new to something. I am sorry I didn't catch that part of hte conversation." She nods to him, urging him with a look to spill.

She then turns her gaze back to Piotr as he speaks and she nods, "Fine name." She considers, "I don't believe I have ever had the time to learn any Russian, I will have to correct that." She grins at him, "I always did enjoy the stories of that country and we do business there." She then looks to Kate again and adds, "I have already ordered severl Brezen for the table so why not some Knodel." She nods her head.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney hefts up the beer steins with a cheery grin. If she were wearing the appropriate dress she'd look like a tiny, very happy beer garden girl. As they start across toward the table with Emma and Alex and all the other important peoples, she glances to the side catching sight of the pale haired man that had come nosing around. She'd lost sight of him though and gives a small shrug. Heading along she comes up to the table to greet them all with the easy cheer of someone who has absolutely no idea of the important, powerful people she was addressing. Emma was just Emma. Shaw was some guy. That other person was who knew who.

"Hi! This place is great! How're you doing Alex? You look great Emma!"

Jean Grey has posed:
Jean smiles over at Alex, "Hey, Alex. I'm good, just finishing up my own doctoral work, actually. Hoping to have that done soon. Now it's a bit of wait and see." Wait, she's been doing /that/ in addition to everything else?

She then smiles politely at Sebastian, giving him a slight nod as she then flashes a smile at Emma, "This looks positively delightful, I'm glad I was able to make it for this." Her eyes flicker over towards Kate Kane, and she can't help but flash a grin at the other redhead, before she notices Gabby coming over, and grins at her, "I do hope that's //root// beer, Gabby." She sounds mock-stern, then smiles a bit wider, giving the younger girl a wink.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Hey Gabby!" Emma greets the young girl with a smile. "And Julian! You know your father would be unhappy with you using your powers in public at all, much less outside of the VIP." she chides him gently. "Jean, come sit with us-- more excuse for Selene not to."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller snorts, "My father hasn't been happy with me since about my seventh birthday party. Not my fault his lawyer's suit couldn't handle raspberry stains," he shrugs. "I have nothing to be ashamed of. Isn't that part of what we're supposed to learn?" he says.

He takes a sip of his beer. Er, root beer. Yeah. Root beer. That's the ticket.

He nods to Jean, not used to seeing her in a social setting, sticking close to Gabby.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake lifts his stein when Henry does and takes a swallow from it. He then waves off Hank's explanation, shaking his head and laughing, "It's fine. I wasn't asking! I'll find out when everyone else does." Then he hears about the kitten and asks Piotr, "What sort of a kitten did you get?" He folds his arms on the table and leans against them comfortably, glancing from one person to the next. Then he sees Jean and he lifts a hand to wave in her direction. "Heya, Jean." Though Glorianna's look has him raising both brows, "New to something?" He looks a little bit confused, not quite sure what she's referring to, apparently.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde tells Kate, "I'm from Illinois originally, but went to school upstate, so pretty familiar with the area, if not having lived in the city itself." She takes a sip of her root beer and then grins over to Bobby. "Sounds like a wonderful vacation. Let me know if you need company, I could handle laying out in the sun. And cold drinks." Bobby's given a grin for that last part.

Kitty pulls out her phone as it buzzes, checking it while answering Henry McCoy. "I'm still not sure, really. I should probably start looking for a job, but honestly I'm putting that off a bit longer. I might look into grad school though it's kind of late to be applying, and, I'm not even sure where I'd want to go at this point."

The girl's phone is examined, and Kitty's smile fades to something of a more serious look. "Think I need to go and see to something. Hope you all have a good night. Sorry to run out on you," Kitty says as she rises. She rests a hand on Piotr's shoulder. "Catch you later," she tells the big Russian.

Bobby Drake has posed:
"You're more than welcome to come," Bobby grins at Kitty. "I'll chill your drinks any time." He then lifts a hand in a wave as she heads out.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"I'm going to have to start worrying about my seat if you keep bringing all these new faces to the Club, Emma." Shaw notes with considerable amusement as Emma attracts a mini-mob of well-wishers, "Ahhh, there's no harm in it, Emma. It so happens the Kellers aren't here, and what they don't know won't hurt them." At Julian's retort, he chuckles, "Well there you are...a fitting demonstration of healthy self-esteem." Blue eyes turn towards Jean now, and Sebastian rises from his chair to extend a hand, "I don't believe I've had the pleasure...Sebastian Shaw." Maybe she knows the name, maybe not, but he does add, "Chairman of the Board for and owner of our not-so-little Club here. And I occasionally moonlight as the CEO of Shaw Industries." The smile is gracious, but there's certainly a glimmer of...shall we say "appreciation" for Ms. Grey's appearance.

Henry McCoy has posed:
He's enjoying the meal, clearly. All the flavors mix well, of course! Henry grins to Kate. "A pleasure, Henry - please. First names are just perfect for a nice evening like tonight." A smile. "And thank you... I am fond of the shade myself." He offers, puffing up a bit in pride. A beamed smile to Kitty. "A fellow Illinois native. Be safe, Kitty." There's a wave.

A delighted smile to Glorianna. "Norway? I've yet to pick up the language, but it is quite fascinating to hear." A nod. "If the kitten is a larger breed, it might be a Mainecoon, or perhaps one of the Savannahs." He comments.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr nods and says, "Probably not as hard as learning English," he jokes to Glorianna before focusing on his food for the brief moment before the inquiry is made regarding the kitten, "A stray that adopted me, he is pretty well behaved, besides the usual kitten mischief." When he feels Kitty's hand on his shoulder he looks up and pats her hand and says, "Likewise! I will see you back home." The Russian gives her a warm smile and once she leaves, begins taking a moment to eat his food. After a moment he replies to Henry, "The vet thinks it probably is a Maine Coone, or partially"

Kate Kane has posed:
Kate gives Kitty a nod, "It was cool to meet you, if you're ever in Gotham be sure to look up the Kanes." And then her eyes are moving past Kitty to Jean and she gives her fellow red-head a little wave of greeting. Along with a thought or two. But they are fleeting as her attention is grabbed by Glorianna and Hank. "Yeah? Norway is pretty cool, I went skiing there once, had a great time and the people are really nice. You should go sometime, Hank. I bet you're a wicked snowboarder."

She looks to Piotr and grins, "New pet? Nice. Maine Coons are really sweet animals from what I've heard. Got a name in mind?"

Jean Grey has posed:
Jean smiles at Sebastian Shaw, "Jean Grey, I've seen you about the Club, of course... twice, in point of fact. Emma and I are good friends." She allows him to take her hand, as she doesn't need to be a telepath to see those thoughts... but well, it isn't exactly a surprise either.

She then glances over towards Bobby's table, giving him a grin... and then she passes another look to Kate Kane, arching a brow slightly as she catches that thought. And she grins at the other redhead, just a bit more, before looking back towards Emma, "Well, I'd be pleased to join you, then." And with that, she takes a spot at the table, "Though, I admit, I'm not much of one for lagers... if you can't chew the beer, is it really beer?" Yeah, she does enjoy her stouts, this is true.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney chuckles at the question only to glance to the side in a shady way. "Yes of course it's root beer!" She says as she takes a sip. And really it was, but it was also exciting to get to drink it in that hefty mug. That was the fun part. A glance is cast toward Julian again noticing how he seems to be just a little tense. Reaching out she touches his elbow lightly with her hand, and leans in against him. A little hip bump she'd seen someone else do once upon a time. In miniature.

"This is a really great evening actually. I was always wondering what it'd be like in here so I'm glad I could come along tonight." Grinning again she adds, "We just wanted to say hi before grabbing a table."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
One moment, Pietro was in the area, partaking of the food, drinking from his glass, and generally keeping to himself. And then, the next moment, he seems to have disappeared. The glass, empty, sits upon the bartop, the only remaining sign that the white-haired speedster was in the bar. Apparently, something must have called him away and he didn't feel the need to announce his departure.

Which is pretty much normal for Pietro, anyways.

Glorianna Silver has posed:
A smile at Henry and she nods her head to him before she winks at him, "Det er fascinerende å høre." She then then turns her gaze back to Piotr and laughs more, "I will say, English is likely one of the more difficult languages but is made easier by the other languages I have learned. It is such a mixture." She nods her head before she looks to Kate with a smile and then nods to Henry before patting him on the arm, "Yes, I can surely take you at some point, Henry." She nods her head before her pocket buzzes and she sighs. She stands up and checks it before she rolls her eyes, "Enjoy the food. The work of a leader is never done. Speaking of Norway." She points at her phone, "Seems there's a problem /only/ I can handle." She laughs, "I may return and if not, enjoy the festivities. My tab is open to you." And she then walks toward the exit putting the phone to her ear.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Hank munches a bit of the wurst, nodding to Kate. "I tend to do fairly well when it comes to balance and acrobatic tricks." He grins. "Good genetics, after all." He jokes. "Do you do much winter sporting?" A cant of his head. "Any resorts near Gotham?"

A look to Piotr. "You'll have your hands full brushing them." A wry chuckle. "I could recommend a good line of brushes, if you need."
As Glorianna stands to depart, he offers a polite nod. "Be safe! It was lovely to meet you again, Miss Silver." A grin. A glance to Bobby. "So! Teaching? What are you thinking of teaching?" He grins.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"Have you? Then I regret not having met you before, Ms. Grey. Delighted to make your acquaintance." Shaw retakes his seat, giving Emma a brief "You've been holding out on me" look, before his attention returns to Jean, "Did I hear you say you were doing Doctorate work? What's your field of study, if I might ask?" There's genuine curiousity to be had there, beyond the small talk. Though he makes his inquiries around the work of polishing off his remaining food and beer. Though it should be noted, his manners are impeccable. No talking with your mouth full!

Bobby Drake has posed:
"It was nice to meet you, Miss Silver," Bobby says as Glorianna takes her leave. "Thank you for the food," which he surveys as it arrives and nearly covers the table, there is so much of it. But it's there, and he's hungry, and so he grabs a little bit of this and that, making himself a plate, and pokes at one bite after the other, sampling the various items that were ordered. "Oh," he says when Hank asks about his teaching. "Math. I changed my degree from Accounting to Mathematics. I'm still taking accounting classes but I decided I'm more interested in teaching than going for my CPA," which had been his original plan.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller looks over at Gabby and can't help but grin a bit. She always does break him out of his morose tendencies. He takes another long sip from his own big mug. The compliment from Sebastian Shaw definitely helps, too, "I've been told I have excessive self-esteem, notably by my father himself. Maintaining it to spite him is one of my favorite hobbies," he says.

The discussion of academics, however, tunes him out rapidly as he leans down to Gabby's ear, "See, this is what society is like. Just people standing around talking in fancy clothes."

Kate Kane has posed:
Jean gets another look from Kate who does a little finger waggle as she finishes off her mug of beer. She puts her mug down and pulls out her phone, looking at it for a moment and sighing. "Looks like it's time for me to head out as well. Was good meeting you all, especially you Dr. Hank." He pulls out a business card and slides it over towards him. "You ever hit up Gotham with any of your friends, let me know." She waves to the crowd at the table and makes her way over to one of the Club's staff, who she hands another card to and points to Jean Gray, making a 'call me' hand gesture to the woman before waving a farewell.

Jean Grey has posed:
Jean smiles warmly at Shaw, "Oh, it just seemed like we never really had a chance to actually converse. Of course, I'm sure Presidential candidates can be most... distracting, between Tony Stark at our first meeting and Lex Luthor at our second, I doubt you'd remember me, even if we //were// formally introduced." She then adds, "And my doctorate is in psychiatry, well, it hopefully will be, anyway. Fingers crossed."

Then she looks at Kate, arching a brow, and she smiles very slightly, thinking something to herself as she looks... suitably intrigued at the departing redhead.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr sighs, "Indeed, that is to be expected, he has not grown much hair, yet, but I am afraid that he will. Send me some links to some good brushes and I'll order them." Glorianna gets a polite nod and a "It was good to meet you, have a good night." He frowns and finishes his food and drink, taking the moment to listen to the conversation about teaching, and happy to finish his food at the moment.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex smiles to Gabby and Julian as they come over. "Hey, wasn't expecting to see you here." He eyes all the people he knows from elsewhere. "Actually, I'm kinda suprised we have so much of a turnout here with you.' he admits thoughfully. "Not that it's bad, just wondering if all of you decided you needed a night out or something."

Henry McCoy has posed:
Taking the card, Henry retrieves one of his own to offer over to Kate. "A pleasure, Kate. I'll certainly look it up if I get over to Gotham." A genuine smile is given to the woman.

As Piotr sighs. "It's a hardy breed, Maine Coon. They will be a healty friend, and yes - I'll send you links." A chuckle. To Bobby, he grins. "Mathematics. Fantastic! Do you think you can get our students interested? That's the biggest catch, making the knowledge desirable to the younger mind."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney chuckles in amusement. "At least the food here is better than in the teacher's lounge," she puts forth. Or maybe she's just assuming it is. It sure smelled like it was! Her head tilts at Alex with a nod. "Well we hadn't really had a first date yet, so this seemed like a good chance to at least get out and dress up a bit. Hell this is the first dress I've ever worn!" She admits with another laugh.

"And Julian looks so good in the suit we picked out for him, too!" She adds with a look toward him in that blue jacket and pink shirt. She was rather happy he tried it out.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"Oh, forgive me if I'm being far too forward, Ms. Grey, but I'm quite certain I'd remember someone as striking as you." Shaw replies with confidence, both in the certainty of his words and the manner with which they are presented. The smile is laced with just the slightest touch of mischief. "Ahhh, Psychiatry. The study of the ever-twisting maze of the human mind, and I suppose after a fashion the figurative heart, as well." A nod towards Jean, "No easy path, there. Commendable."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma chuckles. "It was amusing to me to see how many folks from the school were also members here," she admits quietly to Alex. "There's a lot of crossover. This may be troublesome." Her eyes sparkle with mischief.

She grins at Jean. "I suspect she will be excellent at whatever career option she chooses once she's done."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller opens his jacket a bit to show off his pink shirt, "A little brighter than my usual fare, but I think it makes a nice statement. Gabby has good taste," he says, reaching over to squeeze her shoulder.

At Emma's comment, he nods, "People will think there's some sort of conspiracy at work. Conspiracies involving exclusive clubs of the elite? Perish the thought," he says.

Alex Summers has posed:
"Oh-ho, a first date, huh?" Alex says. "Well, congrats, and I hope it goes well. And the dress looks great on you." he compliments Gabby. "And so does your outfit Julian, you go well together." He nods to Emma. "Hmm, troublesome or fun, maybe..." he says as an aside, then laughts at Julian's comment as he nods, coming back to the pair. "Just a party this time, I'm pretty sure. Have fun, either way."

Jean Grey has posed:
Jean laughs, "Well, I'm probably going to go from being a teacher to being a counselor of sorts. Perhaps set up a small practice, eventually. There's quite a bit of possibility there." She smiles over at Shaw, "Oh, there's no shame in it, but I appreciate the thought." A bit of a nod, then she flashes a grin at Emma, "And thank you, I like to think of the world being full of possibilities, lately."

She then looks over at Gabby, then at Julian, and she smiles, "A first date? Well, that's delightful. I'm certain Julian will be a proper gentlemen." There's an unspoken 'OR ELSE' at the end of her statement, and you don't have to be a psychic to catch that.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
Sebastian Shaw falls silent as the conversation flows away from him, but it might be noted he looks a bit...skeptical at the idea of Julian Keller being a gentleman, perfect or otherwise. He doesn't //say// anything about it, though.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney ducks her head toward Alex with agreement. "Thanks," she offers with a grin. Sliding her arm through Julian's she tips her head off to the side. "Come on, let's go eat and let the grown ups chat," she teases. "Good seeing you again, Alex, Emma!"

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller slips his arm around Gabby at the prompting, "I'll be good," he says to Jean and, while it has a joking tone, there's a seriousness to his gaze. He really is trying. How well he'll succeed remains to be seen but, at least as far as Gabby's concerned, Julian's on his best behavior. Which is still not exactly white hat, but she's leading him down a better path than he was on before.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Finishing up his meal, and pocketing the card from Kate, Beast gets to his feet. "Gentlemen, I think it's time I got home. I need to work off these excellent extra calories." The man grins. "I am sure I will see you both about the campus." A tip of his head to both, before he heads out towards the door.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr nods and says, "Excellent, I will make a note of that and hoepfully have time to get used to it." He looks at his watch and says "It is about that time as well for me. I will speak to you all tomorrow." WIth that, he also departs.

Bobby Drake has posed:
"I think it'll be fun trying," Bobby says with a grin, but then he notices the time and says, "I suppose I should be heading back, too. I've still got this last semester to finish out. No bombing now." He takes another swig from his stein, finishing it off and a couple more bites of food before he gets himself a to-go container to take with him. "This was a great idea. Whoever passed around those flyers deserves thanks."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex waves to the pair as they had off to do date things, leaning back in his chair as he tears off a bit of pretzel and dips it in the accompanying cheese. "They're a cute couple." he says to Emma and Shaw. "He better behave though. I've met her sister. She's touchy."

    Munch munch.
