What Does It Take To Be a Member
Date of Scene: 13 June 2022
Location: VIP Lounge - Hellfire Club
Synopsis: Aurora makes a play for Hellfire Club VIP membership, as she vyes to be in the in-crowd of top models.
Cast of Characters: Jeanne-Marie Beaubier, Sebastian Shaw

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Ever since Aurora started to reach the upper echelon of modelling, she realized something, the top models, top photographers, top makeup artists, everyone were a member of the Hellfire Club to varying degree. She had been once or twice as a guest, but unlike more successful and famous models then her, she was always at the behest of a friendly invitation. She could never invite others on her own, which naturally made her look the lesser model in any company. Status means a lot. When she made that realization, it became her mission to earn such membership.

It started with calls from her agent, making polite request on her behalf, down to reaching out to present members to ask them to vouch for her, and one thing leading to another, Aurora at the very least was able to earn herself a meeting with the owner, Sebastian Shaw, to make her appeal for membership.

She came dressed for the occasion, a red lace corset top, which might be scandalous on others without anything covering it, but Aurora was already famous from paparazzi pics of her in clubs and parties, and much of her modelling work centered on very risque takes on famous superheroines. But she wasn't all indecent, for a bottom she wore a pair of flirty daisy dukes, and completed the look with comfy flip-flops, jarringly dissonanced from the rest of her outfit.

Her makeup was impeccable, her hair done in a very styled 'just had sex' kind of look, often popular in movies and shots. She basically reached for any of the people she normally works with for help, coupling the all thing with a touch of perfume called 'Allure'.

"Mr. Shaw, I'm so thrilled you've agreed to meet me!" She nearly squees, as she walks into the lavish VIP Lounge of the club, a place she never set foot in before.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
For his part, Sebastian Shaw was dressed as he typically was - a purple Victorian coat, white lace spilling from the collar and cuffs, black breeches and boots. He moves with a fluid grace as he guides Aurora around, having provided the basics of a tour upon greeting her shortly after her arrival at the Hellfire Club. "Of course, Ms. Beaubier, I am always willing to take the time to speak with a prospective member, particularly one with such notable appeal." From the way his gaze drifts over to the side, regarding her outfit and how she carries it, the visual appeal certainly could be part of it. Score one for the team she assembled for the meeting.

"As I am sure you know, we do tend to extend membership only to the truly elite, and from what I have seen and heard, you are certainly approaching that level." He waves a hand to indicate the VIP lounge as they move inside. "You see, I believe, a VIP membership, granting you access to this lounge, among others, is that correct?"

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"You're such a charmer, I've been told you've a silver tongue, thank you for sharing it with me," Aurora says with a mischevious grin, her eyes widening as she studies the many luxuries about the room, it was certainly quite different from a typical lounge she would normally frequent. "I'm sorry to say I never heard of your esteemed club until I've made it to New York City, but literally anyone that matters speaks nothing but the best of praises of it."

She quiets a bit as Shaw reminds her of the very high bar set for membership in the club, let alone a VIP membership, but she maintains an endearing smile throughout, despite his words easily perceived as a slight. "But of course, who wants to mar such a beautiful place with the presence of low lives and scum, right?" She giggles, and leans in closer to Shaw, reaching to brush her hand ever so casually along his arm. "I promise you, I will be a household name, when people think of models, my name will pop up with the best of them," she turns to look up into Sebastian's eyes, trying to ensnare his gaze for a moment, so he can see how serious she is, as she mouths softly, "nothing will stop me, I have done and will do anything to get what I want."

"Have you met Mary Jane Watson?" She asks, casually tossing out the name of one of the most famous names in modelling, "I was in a shoot with her, and she invites Loic, one of the best photographers I've worked with, to dine with her in this very lounge..." for a moment a tinge of jealousy can be spotted through Aurora's gorgeous visage, "I could have talked to Loic, secured more work with him, but she just swayed him away with the power of the Hellfire Club...I want that allure, I want that clout!"

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"I am always happy to share my tongue with anyone who can properly appreciate its skills," replies Sebastian, his own grin certainly taking on a bit of mischief in its own right. "While we are a global organization, I will say that the other locations do tend to not measure up to the standards we set, so I am not surprised that you only heard of us upon arrival here."

Her hand at his arm certainly has the desired effect, as their pace draws slowly to a stop once within the VIP lounge. He meets her gaze, nodding slowly in acknowledgement. "I can tell that you are a woman who is prepared to do whatever is necessary." He inclines his head towards her. "And rest assured, I am someone who appreciates that, most of all, in a person."

He considers her name drop of Mary Jane Watson, smiling slightly, but nods as she reaches her actual conclusion. "The name has power, Ms. Beaubier." He waves his hand to indicate the sea of people on the dance floor the lounge overlooks. "All of them are here because there is a cache to being seen here." He looks back to her. "You can have that, if you would like. And you are not mistaken - it will most certainly open doors for you." He allows a wolfish smile. "Beyond even those, there are doors that I could open for you."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"A skillful tongue gets a man access to most any place," Aurora notes with impish delight, "I can tell you are a man of distinction, and since one can only ever be in one place at a time, makes sense your other locations cannot measure."

"I won't lie to you, I don't come from money, I don't come from nobility...I was merely a barista in a small time coffee shop, but look at me now?" Aurora looks quite radiant, clearly aware of her unthinkable progress, "I live in comfort, but I've had a taste, and I want more."

It's his statement about doors he might open in person that has Aurora dropping her charming act for a moment, looking at him in actually curious awe, needless to say she thought of VIP membership as the highest of heights, and suddenly, Mr. Shaw intrigues her with mentioning doors she was unaware existed. "I have to say, Mr. Shaw, I am a woman who loves men." Quite a direct statemenet in this setting, as she goes about brushing her hand once again along his arm, and being allowed, will quite outright cop a feel of his muscle tone as she shares, "I love men of brawn, men of wit, distinguished men I can admire...you certainly caught my attention, and it would thrill me to see the doors you might open..."

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
If it is intentional innuendo on Aurora's part, it certainly lands with the right impact on the right audience. Sebastian's eyes move immediately a few noteworthy places a man's tongue may seek to access. "Flattery will get you everywhere, my dear," is his own reply to her assessment of the other location's lack of prominence.

His gaze looks over her form in its entirety once literally invited to do so, and he nods in appreciation. "One does not need to come from money or nobility to have the bearing of such - and in fact, usually it is all the more impressive one one earns it themselves."

Shaw hardly disallows Aurora's feel of his arm, and he nods his head to her. "And I, Ms. Beaubier, am a man who loves women who know what they want, do what they need to get what they want, and can appreciate the fine taste of knowing the right things to want." He considers her words for a few moments. "I could open just about any door that you might want, Ms. Beaubier. My question to you is - which door would you want to see opened first?"

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
There's no doubt that in mere moments since meeting Aurora, Mr. Shaw would have already seen how she was able to rise so fast in the world of modelling where attitude like hers is quite openly welcomed. She certainly doesn't seem sheepish of playing with fire. "Well, if one speaks truth, is it truly flattery?" Aurora continues unabashed with her strategy to get on Shaw's good side and secure herself the coveted membership.

It is the approval of her path and station that has Aurora genuinely beaming with a radiant smile, she feared so much based on rumor alone, that she would be denied on lack of nobility alone. A lot of the members were blue bloods after all. "I am humbled, and grateful, you carry such a progressive view. I did have to claw for every inch, but I earned rightfully all I earned." As she done some untoward acts on the way? One could surmise or think this or that, but it doesn't seem she has too many fucks to give this way or that. Just her casual touches against Shaw were bold enough on their own, considering he it could have just cemented an ill reputation and gotten her kicked out. It's a gamble, but fortune favors the bold. "Your taste in clothing is quite impeccable as well," Aurora adds, making a shaw of reaching to straighten his jacket, though it's clearly a thin vieled excuse to reach for a feel of his chest, as he undoubtedly would sense as her hands brush about his lucurious top, her tongue ever so briefly pokes out for a glaringly visible licking of her lips. "It is rare to have men of your station keep in such good shape...I dare say if you only wanted, you could easily join me in a photoshot..." she laughs, "not that you're in need of side gigs."

She pauses a moment when he gives her such a tricky proposition, it could be taken in so many ways, a test of what she's truly after. A test of greed. A test of patience and self control, and yet with all possibilities taken to consideration, she looks up at Shaw, her hands reaching to hold each of his shoulders, squeezing lightly with her red painted nails, matching her corset top, "I want to see them all opened! I want to taste everything, experience everything, I want to suck the marrow of life itself!" She certainly had some help prepping, considering her education profile wouldn't suggest she'd be quite so eloquent.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"A line I often state, Ms. Beaubier." Shaw laughs softly. "I never say anything that is not true, although oft-times it need not be said." A slight shrug. "But it is good to hear in the ears."

"I am not sure I would truly call it progressive - but it is moreso than prior owners of this Club, at least." As her fingers move over his chest, he tenses the muscles there - a display for her, of course. And it does seem that he has kept himself in rather good shape, indeed. "I think it would be rather entertaining. Perhaps sometime we could arrange for that, even if not for publication." His gaze drifts over her form again. "I could see the appeal to a ... private ... shoot."

Nodding slowly at her words, Shaw considers that. "Much like me, I wanted everything." A pause to correct. "I _want_ everything." Then he chuckles. "But you need to start somewhere. If all of the doors are open at once, you will have a hard time maximizing each of them. And of course, some doors lead to others." He reaches up with his hand and brushes back a bit of hair from the side of her face, studying her quietly. "So tell me. If you would have one door opened for you today - which would it be?"

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"I can attest, from my own experience, that even though I know I'm beautiful...else I wouldn't have made it in modelling, it still feels good to hear it," Aurora admits in the most vain of manners, though to be fair, how would one ever become a model without at least the faintest of vanity in them. "I am well aware how some blue bloods paint their world view, I was made to feel like nothing more than an ornament in some shots on behalf of this Lord or that..." Aurora notes, the slight waning in her smile suggesting she did feel offended in those instances.

She doesn't shy from really exploring Shaw's chest muscle tone under the luxurious fabric of his shirt, once she's more or less given permission through his flexing for her. "Oh...I am very open to such delights, and would love to show you why I'm such a rising star," Aurora offers with that winning smile right back on her lips. "Truer words were never spoken, I imagine you've seen through doors I cannot even imagine...so for starters, opening the door to this VIP lounge with VIP membership would be a cherished delight," she coos at Sebastian, nuzzling against his chest affectionately as she does.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"In that sense, I suppose I am progressive. I look only at what someone is now, and what they can do for me now, and not what they were before, or their parents, or..." Shaw trails off for a moment, and then nods finally in conclusion to her. "Rest assured, if we were to do a shoot together, you would be front and center." There is a bit of a grin on his face. Maybe a hidden joke that occurs to him.

He listens to her and considers them, nodding at her smile. He returns one of his own. "Then I suppose the first door we should open is to my office." A tilt of his head. "You can show me why you're such a rising star, and I can go over with you the benefits and...obligations...of membership." He meets her gaze evenly.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Aurora may not entirely grasp on the joke, or the fact a joke was even uttered, but she's clearly well in the mindset of a model, as she urges, "I wouldn't have it any other way but me front and center, I want to be the center of attention....and if you grant me that membership," she coos, reaching to cling to his arm, drawing herself near him and lifting on the tip of her toes to whisper in his ears, "you can call on me whenever you need an escort for this or that, I'd love to be your arm candy any time." Yes, she knows her options are limited in trying to woo Shaw to liking her, she uses all she can think of, as she laughs, "well, lucky you, I have an open spot in my schedule," an utter lie and her poor agent will be having a fit trying to reach her with her phone turned off, there was supposed to be the new perfume commercial she was supposed to be filming in 30 minutes. "I can't wait to see the decor of your office..."

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
The smile on Shaw's lips broadens. "I have a world renown reputation for lavishing attention on my guests, Ms. Beaubier." He leans down as she lifts up to whisper, listening to her words and nodding slowly. "Now that is a most delicious offer, I must say." He turns his head, lowering his voice to whisper a response back into her ear. "I am sure I can make myself available a bit longer today."

He straightens, and smiles at her. "Come, let us speak of the details in a more appropriate setting."
