Birds vs Dogs
Date of Scene: 17 June 2022
Location: The Narrows - Miagani Island
Synopsis: Members of the Birds and Bat-family all converge on a situation in the Narrows involving what seems to be some odd form of Werewolf? A pack of werewolves in Gotham? Great!
Cast of Characters: Barbara Gordon, Dick Grayson, Carrie Kelley, Harley Quinn, Helena Bertinelli, Bette Kane, Austin Reese

Barbara Gordon has posed:
An Emergency Call goes out on all channels. It's Barbara Gordon's beacon. She's in trouble!

Over the Birds comms, Babs had reported in investigating something in the Narrows, but that was about an hour ago, and she'd been mostly quiet after that point.

It's 10:30pm, and it's sweltering hot outside, but to make matters worse, it's also raining to a Biblical degree! The rain is coming down hard, with thunder rolling across the sky. The water seems to be pouring off of the buildings in the Narrows like there's a lake spilling down from each rooftop, washing filth and grime across the streets below.

Batgirl's beacon rings out across the comms, calling everyone available to her location, and that location is just outside of a city sewer aquaduct entrance.

The water is rushing out of the city sewer, creating a flowing stream of run-off, and mixed in to the rapidly flowing stream is the form of several 'bodies'. Five to be precise. With one of them standing up, shedding whater off of a dark cape.

Barbara. She's soaking wet in her armored Bat-suit, her red hair matted against her shoulders and down the back of her cape. She's rising up to her feet in the water coming from the dark tunnel, as the lightning flashes above, and more relentless rain falls.

Out of the darkness of the tunnel comes a lumbering beast of a figure, a full head taller than Batgirl, as it ripples with muscles.

It's a literal monster, and there's four more just like it laying on the ground where Babs had just risen up from.

As the weary Batgirl tries to get in to a fighting stance, the beastly monster just thrusts out its right clawed hand, and grasps her by the neck, hoisting her up out of the sewer run off river! Babs gloved hands clutches the thick wrist of the dark skinned beast, as she tries to wrench herself free from its muscled arm!

It leans its grotesque face toward her, and opens its jaws, revealing massive teeth!

"What. Are. You..." Barbara utters as the Monster leans in toward her masked face, preparing to finish her off!

Dick Grayson has posed:
Nightwing had been practicing his best Batman imitation, crouching atop one of the gargoyles adorning City Hall as the rain poured down. He's got his collar sealed so only his head is actually wet despite the torrential rain. When the emergency call goes out over the network, he glances at his HUD to get the direction, extends the gliding wings from the armored backpack of his suit and leaps off the gargoyle, banking around to be headed towards the beacon.

<< Nightwing here, headed your way. Hold on, help is coming. >>

Knowing that Barbara wouldn't use the beacon for anything less that a true emergency, he decides to try something. A quick glance at his HUD and two blinks later, small thrusters mounted on his boots fire, hurling him forward.

And into a neon sign as he spirals out of control.

Cutting the thrusters, he curses a bit to himself, puts himself back on the correct glide path and brushes some glass out of his hair. "Stark never seems to have that problem" he grumbles to himself as his glide gets lower and lower.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
An hour was a very long time to have not heard anything, and since Carrie was sitting watch at the Clocktower, it meant she had been waiting. At the thirty minute mark, she sent two of her flying drones to Barbara's last known location. At the forty minute mark she was already suited up and headed out the door.

Through the pouring rain, she rode her motorcycle at speeds that might be considered dangerous, so when the call from Barbara's beacon finally came in, she gunned it even more.

<< Already inroute, eta uh... a minute. >> With a location now given, the drones were on site before Carrie, giving the younger red head a view of what was happening just as the large thing came out and grabbed Batgirl.

<< Drones online, heads up will display Batgirl's location and situat... oh that's not good. >>

That would not do at all. Coming up on the site, she throttled the motorcycle up to full speed, aiming it at the dark skinned monster, before leaping off and aiming for the water. If all went right, the motorcycle would become a battering ram.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"I can barely hear you April!" Harley's loud voice heard as she cruises down her jaguar through Gotham. Because why would she be walking with all this rain?! "Look we gotta talk about this fixation you got with the yellow color and ..." pause, "Is that Bud on the background? I am hearin' some barking and ...--"

The phone call goes down. What the heck. "Stupid Gotham cellphone reception!" but then there's a beep on her Birdies thingamagiga. Someone in danger?! A place to go?! Harley puts metal to the pedal and the jaguar's poor tires screech in complaint as they cross through Gotham towards that aqueduct. It doesn't take her long to arrive, hitting the breaks and jumping out of the car.

"Hey you!" And she throws the first thing she has in hand. A squeaky toy ball that she had just bought for Bud and Lou that just harmlessly bounces off from the first creature she sees. It's only then that she notices what creatures they are..

"Ok, who let the dogs out?"

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli had been out patrolling herself when Batgirl let the Birds now of her status. When she went silent, it was immediately concerning. She'd begun making her way in that direction even before the emergency beacon went off. She had already closed within a mile just to offer backup. <<Huntress here. I'll be on site in three minutes. Hang on Barbara..>> the last was more a prayer aloud than a request.

Thowing her bike into a skid using the wet road, she took a corner far hotter than she should have. Thankfully the bike being laid almost to the pavement allowed the rear tire catch the lip of the curve. It was just enough to recover. CLosing the last distance, she parked the bike and was off and running to close the last distance all in one fluid motion.

Bette Kane has posed:
Rain, lovely. Thanks to Pengie, no one else would dare bring an umbrella. Bette Kane doesn't break that taboo either, she just takes it as it falls, and in the Narrows, that is certainly special.

IT is not a Bat-cycle, heck it isn't even officially a Flamebird-Cycle, it is just a red Honda. All the fancy stuff is still on request. In this rain as she speeds to the location of the distress signal, some rain tires might be advisable, but instead when she zips around the last corner, the hard slide of the motorcycle send it sshooting past the outflow, fortunately Flambird is no longer on it as she just stood up and abandoned it, even managed to make the crash look intended and semi-cool.. Save the panic at seeing Barbara's state.

Austin Reese has posed:
Osprey had been on patrol not far from where the first beacon had gone off in the Narrows. After all, Austin did like to stay close to his old home. Anything he can do to keep an eye on the place. So once the beacon began to flash over comms, he started heading that way immediately. His hood was doing the best it could to keep the rain off of him, but he was still soaked through. It made every movement feel way slower than it should. Still once he was at ground level, he headed towards the beacon's signal, though when he sees the drone footage on his HUD, he picks up the pace, soaked or not.

Getting down to the sewer entrance is going to be tough, all the water running down making it more of a water slide than a pathway. Still he has to get down and help Barbara, so damn the consequences. He takes the shortest, wettest path, riding the flow of water down to try to get to that beacon's location before it's too late. Hopefully he can hold his breath long enough.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The massive creature has Babs by the neck, and as she moves to try and use her strength enhanced armor to bry his massive paw from her throat, she swings her booted feet to try and plant them against his huge thighs, or broad chest to push herself back, straining to get away from that massive fanged maw that was growling loudly at her.

And then a squeaky toy hits the big Monsters chest. Squeak! It drops down in to the water at the beast's feet, before it starts to flow away down the rushing runoff coming out of the city sewer tunnel.

The creature looks over to Harley Quinn who'd thrown that toy, and then he responds by tossing Batgirl at Harley! Babs body goes tumbling through the sky, a groan coming from Babs as she's hurled with ease toward Quinn!

Right as the motorcycle from Carrie careens through the sky toward the huge beastly man!

He roars at it, the rain falling ever so hard all around him as the Cycle slams in to him, where he slams down on to IT with his massive paws! He crushes the bike in to the water, sending a huge splash in all directions...

The other four bodies in the water start to move, they too rising up after being knocked around by Batgirl... They're not AS large as the main beastly man, but they are just as muscled, and just as terrifying looking in a stranged, mutated way! They stand up, all five of the beasts now staring at the newly arrived support for the armored Batgirl.

Barbara lands against the side of the aquaduct, not far from where Bette, and Austin are arriving. She hits hard, and rolls on to her back, coughing in the rain, her cape falling around her body as she takes in the situation.

"They're massing an army of these things!" Babs calls out. "In the sewers!"

She doesn't have the word out for more than a second before all five of the creatures rush the 'heroes' within sight! All five start to growl, roar and snarl as they charge the reinforcements for the battered Batgirl.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Gliding through the rain is less than fun. Nightwing has his mask just showing him the enhanced feeds of his surroundings rather than relying on his actual vision. He's used his grapple to gain height and thus more gliding time. As the sewer entrance comes into view, he reaches over his shoulders and pulls his batons from their sockets in his suit. Banking slightly he puts himself on course for the rearmost.. person?

About ten feet out, he retracts the wings and flips in midair to be leading with a kick, ready to follow up with baton strikes. Hopefully this will have some effect. At least he should distract the thing for a bit. Further plans will, as always, depend on if he can hurt it or not.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Splashing into the water, Carrie rolls with the momentum to come back up on to her feet and pull her bow from her back. She could fight hand to hand, but the truth was she was far better at range. Usually she would sneak up on a situation, find a good location from a distance, and start offering up all kinds of interesting arrows. This however had called for more drastic measures.

Using the drones as extra eyes, moving them to offer a range of angles for others and herself, she notes that there are now five of these things, though some appear smaller... and one is coming her way. Shi...

Darting back through the water to more solid ground, she pulls a tranq arrow from her quiver, notches it and sends it flying toward the one coming at her. The idea wasn't to kill it, the amount of draw on the bow being just enough to allow the narrow tip of the arrow to break the skin and administer the drug. She had no idea if it would work against this thing, but it was the first attempt at dealing with it while looking for higher ground. There had to be some higher ground.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Nooooo!" Harley says when they squeaky toy begins to slide down the waters to disappear gosh knows where? Operation Save Squeaky Toy? Not really because there is then a Batgirl being tossed her way. "Don't hit the car, Batgirl!" she calls out. Because priorities. "What even are these things?!" she questions the nearby Batgirl before looking ahead to the wolf-like creatures.

She doesn't get a lot of time to talk further because a moment later there's one of the creatures on the attack. Harley's eyes go wide and she runs behind her car. The creature approaches, trying to go around... Harley nimbly moves to the other side. Then the creature snarls and goes the other way. Harley moves the opposite way. And then the creature just starts tearing at the Jaguar to climb atop it to reach the clownette! "You are breaking up my car, you .., wet dog!" she complains, then frowns deeply, then jumps to the side to dodge a claw and reaching into the backseat of her jaguar.

"No more Miss Nice Girl..." What she brings up from the backseat can better be described as a very portable grenade launcher. She points it to the werewolf. "Shouldn't had brought claws to a grenade fight.."

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Huntress arrives just after the others and quickly scans the scene. "... dog..men." Oh boy. She doesn't have a pouch with trick bolt-heads the way Green Arrow or Hawkeye do for their arrows. SHe does however have clips of bolts for her autoloading crossbows. She ejects the broadheads from one and reloads with shock bolts. Whatever these things are, she isn't looking to kill them. Just keep them from killing anyone else. She takes aim at the creature currently destroying Harley's poor car, firing off two bolts.

They strike the creature in the right arm and lower back. Moment later they unleah their electrical charge in an effort to take it out of the fight. But with that size? It might only slow it down a little. Or just make it angry.

Bette Kane has posed:
Flamebird tries to assess the situation quickly after she manages to pull her jaw shut. She sprints forward, and reaches around back to select one of her two special bird-a-rangs just as Batgirl crashes into the area in front of Bette. Thumbing a turning cylinder on the somewhat large projectile she sends it towards one of the charging not quite as huge beasts. Half way to the thing, the bird-o-rang splits from the center to form a bola type weapon that dives into the things legs. It wraps around them before making a zrrrr-ing type sound and starting to draw the cords back into itself and tightening the cords to trip and trap the thing. And then just for fun, it discharges a tazer shock to the trapped limbs. Yeah, that's her coolest toy.

Flamebird then side hops a bit to put herself between the bad things and Batgirl, hoping that she will buy Babs a bit more recovery time. Fists up and ready for the next. "Fall back if you need to Batgirl."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Nightwing comes out of seemingly nowhere. But on a rainy night like tonight, it's pretty easy to sneak up on just about anything, even these creatures! He starts his attack, which draws the ire of the six and a half foot tall monster that he'd targeted! The beast swings around, roars loudly, and swipes a paw at Nightwing's chest! The kick had staggered it, but the creature was immensely strong, on the level of Bane, kind of strong! After it swipes, it lowers down to charge at Grayson!

Carrie's arrow whistles through the rainy air, striking against the shoulder of one of the creatures, which roars in pain from the hit, as it reaches up to wrench the arrow from its skin again. The dark skinned beast turns toward where the arrow came from, and it too starts to charge with crazy speed toward the archer! She'll have time to fire another shot, or make to dodge! Either way, the beastly menace is snarling and coming at her like a freight train!

Batgirl rolls on to her side, and rises back up to her feet while Harley is chased by one of the Monsters. She sees it tearing in to Quinn's car, with no regard for the vehicle's well being, only to get met face-first with the launcher! It snarls loudly at her before it just rushes to swipe the grenade launcher from the Clownette!

"Nightwing!" Babs calls out, seeing him down amongst the others beasts. "They're even stronger than they look, and they heal! Rapidly! We need to put them to sleep, not try and out strength the--!" Babs is cut off as the biggest one once more targets her, and grabs her shoulder, tossing her IN to Harley's car with a loud thud! It stalks over Babs who groans and rolls over to look up at the huge monstrocity...

The bolts from Huntress begin to discharge their electricity in to the Beastly figure striking at Harleys' new weapon, and it causes the thing to roar out in sudden pain as it drops down to its knees in the rain, the nostrils on its face flaring as it breathes in deeply while stunned by the electrical blast from the crossbow bolts. IT's big meaty hand reaches back to tear them from its flesh!

Bette's fancy toy downs one of the smaller Beasts, tying it up and doing just as she hoped it would. The huge creature just starts to undulate in the water, raining down upon it as it roars almost pitifully from the powerful little fancy weapon! Of course, when Bette moves in to help Babs, this has her facing down with the huge one, the 'main beast'. Standing over seven feet in height, it looks to Bette blocking him from Batgirl, and he just swipes one of his pillar-sized arms at Flamebird's mid section, trying to just toss her aside!

This leaves just the last 'smaller' of the beasts to turn toward Nightwing as well, leaving the heroic baton-wielder facing down two of the snarling monsters as it too moves around to get a flanking position on him!

Austin Reese has posed:
As soon as Austin lands at the bottom of his makeshift water slide, he's prepping for a fight. As soon as he lands, he rolls and then finally gets to breathe. Breathing is a good idea, not the best idea for him to have done it the way he did. But he's in the fight now.

Hearing Babs' call about them being stronger than they look and needing to put them to sleep, he quickly grabs something out of his utility belt, "Hang on, Nightwing!" He calls out, as he jumps up and leaps onto the back of one of the two that's on Nightwing, trying to slam the sleeping powder he had picked out of his belt into its face. Unless it manages to throw him off while he tries it. He is trying to ride a big beastie.

Dick Grayson has posed:
With the kick connecting, Nightwing pushes off the monster into what would be a quite acrobatic flip... if not for the critter reacting quicker than expected. It's slashing blow connects with the ex-Boy Wonder, sending him tumbling in a direction other than his planned one. He splashes down into the water, but rolls up to one knee. Nothing broken, and the armor had resisted the claws, so he's still in the fight.

Hearing Batgirl's call, he raises one arm toward the nearest beastie headed for him, and with a *PHUTT* of compressed gas a tranq dart flies across the space to embed itself in his opponent's chest. Hopefully the tranq load is good enough. It's loaded with about the highest dose safe for a human since he has to deal with both people and beings well past human.

Not waiting to see how well it does, he rises to his feet and clicks his batons together to form a staff. A button push charges it with electricity, and he begins to spin it, circling around the critters coming his way.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
There's only so many options available, even as Carrie starts to apply tactic and logic to the situation. Another arrow would leave her open to attack, and that was something she was pretty certain would not go well for her. Yes, she had her suit which was padded and armored, but these things apparently hit like a freight train. Her suit was still a work in progress as she went from the old red and green, so something more sleek in black and deep green. This meant that getting hit was not an option at this time.

Sling the bow onto her back again, she draws another tranq arrow to use as a weapon in her hand. As the thing charges in, she holds position until the last possible moment then leaps up and onto the beasts shoulders while attempting to stab the arrow into the other shoulder, then flip off and away from it using it's momentum to get as far away as possible. Once her feet hit the ground, she's on the run toward one of the small buildings nearby. It might not be the height she really needs, but it might give her a slight advantage in the end.

"That's two tranqs into this one!" She announces as loudly as she can, only then remembers there is a comm unit.

<< I've got two tranqs into this one. I have a drone on the way with sleeping gas grenades, maybe they'll have an effect... ETA is five minutes. >>

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Well. Crap.

Huntress is less than thrilled that her shock bolts barely slowed the one down. So she tries this again.

Moving to a better position, she unleashes the last four shock bolts into the huge dog creature. At the same time she fires off a grapple bolt from her other crossbow, tangling the creature up and trying to subdue him while he is twitching from the jolts. At least this time she hopes it won't be able to pull the shock bolts out before they can fully discharge and, again she hopes, knock it out.

Bette Kane has posed:
Flamebird exhales and tightens her core, drawing in the arm facing the massive backhand. It still hurts, a lot. Oh, and the brightly colored blonde bird lifts off the ground and flies a good two meters to crash into the thankfully water cushioned ground, nearly skipping like a rock another half meter. Not much time is purchased for Batgirl in the balance. It will also take some seconds for Flamebird to right herself and decide if she cracked a rib or not.

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley lets out a shrill squeak when those LARGE claws get so close to her throat! But then the creature is getting electrocuted by the Huntress' bolts. "Huntress!" yes, she finds the time to wave over to the vigilante, big wide smile on her lips a second after the panic on her expression at the creature's claws rushing to her throat. "Guess the whole gang is in today, eh?"

And then she lowers the launcher to be right against the creature's chest. "Next time don't mess with the Birds of Prey..." she primes the trigger, " ... bitch."

She shoots and the creature is thrown back with the impact of the small explosive that latches in, sending it to the ground some meters away from her. And a second later? The delayed explosion happens, creating a large hole on the side of the creature. "Hasta la vista, b--" she squints her eyes, watching the werewolf regenerating.

"Oh shit, they regenerate?!" Harley 101, not listening to the leader's calls!

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The rain continues to fall hard on this hot summer night. The sounds of a rolling clap of thunder rumbles the entire city around the fight breaking out here in the Narrows.

The shot from Nightwing is just 'tanked' by the big beast coming at him, followed by Austin landing on the second one, and trying to slap that sleeping agent in to the beast's face! The massive creature reaches up to try and grab hold of Austin's back, to throw him toward Nightwing, while the sleeping powder is smeared wetly all over the creature's snarling visage!

The one that Nightwing struck with his own tranq weapon seems to do little in the moment as it watches the man create that electrically charged staff. The huge, dark skinned, creature just charges at Nightwing, before it... drops down to one knee. It tries to stand up as its muscles visibly quiver beneath its wet flesh, the tranq hitting it hard. It shakes its head, trying to shake itself awake, as it roars once more, and once more charges at Nightwing!

Harley and Huntress tag-team their creature...

... and in the rainy darkness a burst of light fills the sky, Harleys' grenade creates a burst of fiery flame that can be seen for miles.... KABOOM!

When the 'dust' settles, the creature that she'd fired upon does indeed start to regenerate. Where it had once been torn apart by the explosive, it now thrashes around, as it starts to reform itself!

Carrie's second attack, leaves the creature she was avoiding so nimbly, falling to its knees as well. One by one, the creatures that were tranq'd start to succumb to the effects of the paralyzing agents. AS this happens, something else occurs. Their huge bodies begin to morph, pop, pull apart, until each one turns form. They start shifting, changing colors... It's grotesque, especially in the rain, and filth of the Narrows sewers being everywhere.

All of them, except the one who had just thrown Flamebird aside. The towering beast looks around at the minions with it, only one left still struggling to maintain the fight, the one on Nightwing, it continues to press its attack, with Reese not far away still.

But the biggest one? It stands there, unmolested, and once more it reaches down to grab Barbara by her ankles. It wrenches her upward, upwside down, her cape falling down to the ground bneath her, along with her red hair. She groans out in to the wet darkness, still worn, and battered from fighting all of them earlier on her own. She tries to move, as the huge creature hoists her up upside down. It whirls her around, using her to 'shield itself' from these new attackers!#-1 ARGUMENT OUT OF RANGE

Austin Reese has posed:
At least Austin managed to get that sleeping agent on the beast's face. Even if a second later he was being thrown towards Nightwing, "Heads up!" He yells as he sails towards the other hero, trying to twist in midair to miss him. But he's no gymnast, so he'll probably end up sprawled all over the ground in a second.

But there's a saying if you're gonna be dumb, you've gotta be tough. And Austin is pretty tough. He gets back up to his feet after his botched landing, but moves to defend against the beast while the others are starting to revert. He's not sure if he can get to Babs right now, but instead he goes to try to land a flying kick on the creature as it goes after Nightwing again

Dick Grayson has posed:
Austin's warning lets Nightwing (who in fact is a gymnast) throw himself into a sideways roll to avoid being hit by the human projectile. Rolling back to his feet, he quickly steps in and slams one end of the staff and then the other into the creature's head. Hopefully the high voltage tasers built into the weapon will add to the tranq dart and put one of these beasts down for the moment.

Getting a better look at what they're fighting, he groans and mutters "Freaking werewolves again? I knew I shouldn't have let Constantine have that dagger." Sidestepping around the beasts, he keeps the staff in a spin, ready to strike out at any of them that come into reach.

The big one's use of Batgirl as a shield is noticed, he feints a staff blow at the closest werewolf then throws himself to the side, tossing his staff high into the air. Coming down on his side, he extends both arms and the sound of the darts firing comes multiple times from both gauntlet launchers as four of the tranq darts fire, all aimed at the creature's legs to avoid the spinning superheroine it's currently wielding.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Yes! It went down! Ew... what the hell was it doing? Glancing back behind herself, Carrie shudders violently while still on the move. Already unslinging her bow again, she reaches back for another tranq arrow, just two more after that one. Noting that the majority of them were melting? Changing? What were these things? Whatever it was they were doing, her eyes shift to the big one.

<< Is he seriously trying to use little old Batgirl as a shield? Fine, I'll go for another angle. >>

The thing about having drones as extra eyes, it's easier to find the directions from which the monstrosity can't use Barbara cover. He's huge, she's not, there has to be an opening and she'll find it.

Turning back toward the group as she runs, notching that arrow into the bow, she bolts into a position that might in fact allow her a shot on it and not risk hitting Batgirl at all. Once she's certain, she draws the string back and lets the arrow fly. Maybe, just maybe, she drew back more than needed, she wasn't going for a kill shot, just something more painful that the other one.

Bette Kane has posed:
The rest are winning, and Flamebird doesn't really have a knockout gas sort of attack. (Added to to-do list.) She does a kip-up, which is a bit more impressive for the couple of inches of rushing water around her. One of her bird-o-rangs is selected, and she flicks it off high and to the right of the apparently real werewolf holding Batgirl. The 'o-rang' aspect takes over though and it spins around back to center in on the back ot the creature's right knee. She is trying for that sweet spot that just collapses the joint forward to throw the thing off balance.

Honestly, Flamebird isn't sure she can do much more than set-up for the assist on all the other would be flankers. Bette is pretty sure though the wolfman is thinking the better of using Batgirl as a shield, if it thinks much at all.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Huntress reloads her crossbows and turns after finally taking down the one creature. Seeing the scene with Batgirl being used like a ragdoll shield she goes pale. It is a dangerous situation that needs to end soon to keep Batgirl safe.

She moved to get another angle. As Nightwing is firing his darts from the opposite side, she proceeds to unload her last shock bolt clip into the leg and back of the huge creatures torso. When one of the team is in danger there is no such thing as overkill in getting them to safety. Even if six shock bolts discharging at once could jump start a dozen bulldozers.

SHe couldn't take the cance and risk seeing Batgirl hurt. She'd do it for any of them.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
The biggest of the 'Werewolves' is certainly setting himself up to be a ripe target. As the last of his powerful minions are taken down by the combined efforts of Dick and Austin, the hulking beast starts to change back in to his human form while laying there on the side of the flowing aquaduct river.

The good news? The rain is starting to let up some, not falling quite as heavily as it had been when everyone had arrived.

The last target, the one towering above Harley's beat up car, holding Barbara by her boots, roars as he's hit by multiple attacks! They're learning the weaknesses of these Beasts quickly, and though this massive target seems to be able to take a true punishing beating, he does seem to be reacting as the Bat-types would so hope to desire for.

He moves to lift Barbara up in the air, to strike her toward Nightwing, and Austin, but then Batgirl leans backward and jams a stunning grenade against the beast's stomach!

The arrow from Carrie, the incoming assults from everyone else, and the massive last-standing Werewolf just tosses Barbara toward Nightwing and Austing, sending her spinning through the air, with her cape flowing water in a pinwheel!

The huge beaste just throws Harley's car aside, pushing it over toward the Clownette and her grenade launcher, before he starts to run at full speed toward the sewer tunnels!

He's fleeing!
But with the four naked men on the ground now groaning and starting to wake up again, the Bats may have more on their plate to worry about....

Dick Grayson has posed:
The first thing Nightwing has to worry about is the incoming Batgirl. Well, and his falling staff once it reached the top of it's arc. Glancing up at the staff gives him an idea. Catching it, he thumbs the button to turn off the electricity, then holds it up and braces himself.

<< Batgirl, catch hold of the staff. Gymnastics time. Sparrow, can you fire a tracker into the running one? >>

The idea is for her to swing around the staff so she can actually plan her landing. Hopefully the spinning didn't make her too dizzy to make the grab, but it's about the best option.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Having kept herself at a slight distance, to avoid direct hand to hand risks, Carried finally starts to move in toward one of the now transformed men. She really, really needed to get out more. Never once in her life had she watches a dog beast thing turn into a man, and had Nightwing not said Werewolf, she would never have actually thought to apply that word to them.

With a gesture of her hand, two fingers pointing forward like a sign language H, one of the small drones instantly moves to follow the huge one as he retreats. After only a few feet in its chase, the drone shimmers and disappears from sight. Target acquired.

<< Already on it Nightwing. Dude would likely regenerate a tracker right out of his body, like a bullet would get popped out. Fum is on hunt and seek mode now. That guy can't smell the drone cause it has no scent. It's running on silent mode, so he can't hear it, and he won't be able to see it. >>

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Huntress watches the huge creature shrug off all six shock bolts. Her eyes were wide in alarm.

"That... scares me." She's not joking. Nothing living should be able to handle that much voltage and still be conscious. She looks over to see Nightwing working to help save Batgirl from her tumbling flight and she relaxes a little. If anyone is going to help Batgirl it's Nightwing's skills.

She walks over, reloading her crossbows. "... Batgirl.. are you okay?" the concern is strong in her voice.

Austin Reese has posed:
Austin is moving to secure the unconcious guys. After all the last thing they want is any of them waking back up. He pulls out steel reinforced zipties, it won't stop them if they go full wolf form again, most likely, but Austin figures he can secure them well enough to keep them down.

Hopefully they won't have the energy to get back up after this. He does come over comms afterwards, <<"Osprey here, securing the ones that are down. Hope they're too wore out to transform again after they wake up, or we might have a problem.">>

Bette Kane has posed:
Naked men in a rain storm at an outflow of the Narrows' sewers? Bette presses a button on her glove to loosen the bola-bird. Then scoops it up as she walks past. An adjustment to her goggles to see if she can tell what happened to the Honda. But, her primary course is to Barbara. "Hey, Batgirl, are you all right?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Barbara grabs the offered bo-staff, using it to sweep herself out of the air and down around to her booted feet again, planting them firmly on the ground, sending up a gush of water off of the filthy concrete floor! Shedding water like an ocean animal herself, Barbara looks toward the fleeing creature that darts down in to the enveloping darkness of the tunnel where she'd come from when she'd first found them. She droops her shoulders inside of her armored suit.

"They... had a army...." Babs says to... everyone within earshot. She looks toward them all, watching Austin doing his work to secure the naked men. "What do we do with these guys?" She asks then as she starts to walk through the knee high waterway toward the others.

"Those were Werewolves?" She asks then. "They were hairless, mostly....

"Oracle." Babs says to her AI systems back in the tower. "Tell the GCPD that we have high powered targets that need powerful sedatives here pronto. Tell them to get them from the Zoo."

Babs starts up the sloped inclined. "Thank you all for getting here so quickly... this... is not how I expected my friday night to go..." She says with a groan following her words, as she's still in quite a lto of pain.

One of the men is waking up before Austin has a chance to put him back to sleep. He just grins at them all, as he lays there naked as the day he was born... he starts to just quietly laugh.
