Date of Scene: 14 April 2020
Location: Recreation Room
Synopsis: Warren has an idea for a dumb instagram video using a cover of a classic Sarah McLachlan song about being in the arms of an Angel. What better way to truly take this idea to the next level than asking help from the one and only Dazzler.
Cast of Characters: Warren Worthington, Alison Blaire

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren is, for some reason, in the Rec Room of the school. He's standing in front of the wall of video games and game consoles and nodding thoughtfully to himself, looking as if he is recalling fond days of being a student and coming here to try and beat Piotr in Mario Kart. Shame none of the characters could fly around the track, but that might have been cheating. In any case, he has a CD case in one hand and a piece of paper in the other. For perceptive eyes, the CD case is of the classic Sara McLachlan album from 1998 that had the hit song 'Angel' on it.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Wandering into the Rec Room, Alison has air pods in and a cup of tea in her hands. Tilting her head from side to side a little, she pauses as she spots Warren. Popping an earbud out, she looks from him to the games. "Oh hey. Looking for something to play?" She asks and lifts her mug to sip slowly, watching him over the rim of it for a moment.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Blinking at the sound of another's voice, Warren shakes his head and laughs, "Oh no, was just remembering some how cool it was to come to a school that encouraged kids to have fun while learning. The boarding schools my old man would send me to? They never had stuff like this. Heh, goes to show that the realm of normal humans certainly isn't all it's cracked up to be." He turns to face her and smiles, "Anyway, how are you? I'm doing creative writing." He waggles the piece of paper.

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I get the sense that even with normal humans boarding school is unusual." Alison snorts and shakes her head. "I am fine, adjusting to being...public. How are you?" She wonders and gestures with a finger from her mug. "And what's with the duds? I thought everyone lived in jeans around here." She teases lightly. Eying the paper, she lifts her brows. "Working on an op-ed for a newspaper or something?" She wonders lightly.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Yeah, it is an adjustment though..." Warren gestures with his head towards the wings. "I imagine it's a lot harder when it's far easier to blend in. Still, you've done pretty well for yourself I hear!" He looks down at his suit and laughs, "I do have to fly into the office every day to make sure they don't try to undermine their mutant boss, and jeans aren't quite business attire, even as comfortable as they are." He offers up the piece of paper. "Funny you should ask. I'm thinking about doing an Instagram video where the more likes I get, the more money I'll donate to the Genoshan cause. I mean, I've donated a chunk already, but I'm hoping that it goes viral and gets more people interested in the cause."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Interesting. It's a solid tactic. Working on a script then?" Alison asks before wandering over. "So did you just land? That's got to be long hours, flying in and back." She points out and sips more of her tea. "Do you plan on looping in some big names? That seems to help things go viral, or trends, like that pass the brush thing. You know?" She suggests and comes to lean against the back of one of the couches. "Pretty dedicated, working and still thinking about more ways to do your part."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Something like that." Warren says, offering the paper over for Alison to take. "And no, I got here an hour or two ago. It's actually not that bad really, it's about 20-30 minutes with flight. If you ever want to fast-travel to the city and don't want to trust Illyana or someone else to whip up a portal for you, Angel Air will be happy to take you along. No big names or anything, just me, and uh, I am hoping that you'll do a cover of part of a song for me. I can compensate you, of course."

And should Alison take that paper and read over it, scribbled in Warren's hand are edited lyrics:

In the arms of the Angel
Let him fly you away from here
And to his warm, comforting room
And away from the loneliness that you fear.
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You?re in the arms of the Angel
May you find your _____ here.

At the bottom an arrow has pointed to the underscored part with the words: lover? loving? pleasure? should be classy yet sweet?

"As for doing my part? Yeah, a few people asked if I'd use my pretty face and public position to help push forward mutant causes. I figured it's the least I can do to give back." He says with a grin. "I also volunteered to teach a class or two next semester."

Alison Blaire has posed:
Reaching out, Alison takes the paper. Opening it one handed she reads it and her face twitches. "This is...a draft." She agrees and looks at him over it with a squint. "I will consider this-I like the idea, but this sounds like you're looking for a booty call." She teases and gives Warren a grin. "Or, I can send this to all the girls our age here. I bet they'd like to know they can find their lover, loving, pleasure? here." Trying to keep a straight face, Ali's face twitches slightly and she tries not to giggle.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Yeah, a first draft. I was hoping maybe you might have an idea." At the mention of a booty call, Warren laughs. "You know, that's not entirely -WRONG- but no, it's a bit of poking fun of myself, if anyone will believe that. Which they probably won't, but that's okay!" He follows that up with a shake of his head, "No, not yet. I have a video planned to go with the song after all. It's gotta be all put together to really do it justice. Oh, and I was trying to decide which word was best there, not all three! Lover felt like the best fit, but I didn't major in English, so I wasn't quite sure."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I'll run it by Emma. If she has time to meet with me. She's got a way with words. She might have an idea on how to spruce this little gem up." Alison waves the bit of paper before sipping on her tea. "But-I am intrigued. Alright. Let's make a video." She smiles at Warren and pauses to consider. "We could go all Lost Boys with oil and glitter-they might think you aren't being serious and get a heck of a laugh from it."

Warren Worthington has posed:
As much as he might try, Warren cannot help dying of laughter at everything Alison is saying right now. "Oh dear God." He says, still laughing and wiping tears out of his eyes. "Em... Emma, oh god, oh... yeah please run it past Emma. Please tell me what the look on her face is after you do it. Please God." He breaks out into another fit of laughter and slaps his leg. "Ahhh, damn it, I've needed that. Oh yes I did. A video you said? Yeah a video would be -awesome-. My original idea was to be shirtless and make a few poses but I'll trust your expertise on this."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Oh we can do much better. Add in some Dazzler exclusive lights? Please." Alison rolls her eyes and folds up the paper. "I'm going to write about this in my diary. What fun. Who knows, it might be just the thing to break my writer's block." She lifts her tea cup in a cheers his way before draining it. "Just think if you had come across like, Scott first. My lasers are waaay cooler."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"I'm glad that I could be such an inspiration, even if it's me being a damned fool that helps get you writing again!" Warren grins and sketches a little bow. "Also, your lasers are -cooler- and actually have style, which is something Scott lacks. I guess if we do a full on video, we can have back-up dancers? I might try and talk to Hank about doing some breakdancing if that's the case. Anyway, thanks for the help Alison, you're the freaking best."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Henry? Oh dear. I would like to see that!" Alison chuckles and waves off the compliment with the hand holding the lyrics. "It's my specialty isn't it? Happy to do it." She gives Warren a warm smile and tucks her mug against her side idly. "Especially if it's for fund raising." Her eyes crinkle as she smiles.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Me too, and I'll try to think of what others might be able to do as well. I should probably go and check up on a few company e-mails but thanks again!" Warren gives her a small little bow of his head, "I look forward to hearing what the Queen of Pop has come up with." With a little grin and a wave he begins heading towards the door.
