Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix is currently just sitting on the roof of the embassy. Her back is over in a heavy metal brace, as is one leg. One of her arms is up in a sling. She's just sitting over the edge of the rooftop, gazing out over the horizon with a very flat expression on her face. Having to come to term with things and.. One's own inconsequentialness in the greater scheme of things.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl is flying in towards the Embassy herself, and blinks as she sees Monet there. She looks surprised, remembering the girl from the park. She slides in through the air, finally landing near Monet. "Hey...you okay?" she asks, surprised as she looks to her. Her x-ray vision slides to Monet's back, leg, and arm, checking out the situation.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
She has a series of healing stress fractures over her body, some carefully taped ribs and a healing lung that was pierced, and several other breaks in her body that are healing well. "I have survived." Monet would look over at Kara with a sort of numbness in her eyes; not necessarily related to the injuries.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "Not clearly." Kara says, a little bluntly. "Who hurt you so badly? And...why are you sitting on the roof of the embassy?" That sounds really confused.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
The Moroccan Mutant goes to answer the first one. "A monster the size of a large swathe of the city. And I am here to think. About how.. Useless I am."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    The blonde Kryptonian looks to Monet. "Well, I don't know what monster you're talking about. But getting hurt doesn't mean you're useless. Everyone gets hurt sometimes." Even her.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would just take a moment to reorient herself. "The.. Amazons requested aid in fighting a monster that was seeking to destroy part of the planet. I.. Do not know what it's origin was. Something mystical, an ancient abomination.. It blocked out the sun. They.. Overpowered it and threw it into space."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl seems more surprised than anything. "I'm surprised they didn't call me." Well, though, maybe if it was a mystical threat, that might explain it. Magic is her achilles heel. "You were brave enough to answer the call. That's the important part."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would just close her eyes, "And I was useless. I was.. Of no consequence at it." For the girl that's life is bulit upon her ego, her perfection, her sense of supremacy.. That is a painful thing to have to admit.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Kara frowns at that. "Look..." she steps over towards Monet, and then sits next to her. She hesitantly reaches out to put a hand on her shoulder. "I don't know you well. But I know that anyone who was brave enough to stand up to a monster the size of a city deserves respect...and is certainly not useless. If you slowed it down for even a moment, if you /distracted/ it...you saved lives. And that's never useless." The Kryptonian looks to Monet with sympathy in her eyes.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shake her head, "It is not a matter of bravery. Just.." She looks tired. "It does not matter if I went there or not. It was pointless. My presence there had no remote positive significance over on the end result. It does not matter."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Kara shakes her head. "I don't believe that. You clearly got hurt. That means you fought that thing. And like I said...even a moment might have saved lives. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself." She looks to Monet. "Besides...if nothing else, you probably learned areas you can improve on."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Normally Monet might go to snap over at Kara for something for questioning her. That impulse is however not there. "I.. Don't know anything. I could not do anything to it. I could not damage it, I could not dodge it. I did not effect it in any way."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "So practice your combat training." Kara suggests. "I studied with the Amazons for that purpose. Remember, no matter how good you are, you can always be better." She smiles reassuringly.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
As had Monet. "You are right." Her expression is flat and in agreement. It is still good advise, no matter how flat it feels to the egoic woman. There's not much more to do than wallow in it.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "I could help you train, if you like." Kara offers. "I mean, once you're in a little better shape." Though she worries a little about that. Monet seems to need some help with self-esteem more than anything, and she isn't sure that she's a good help with that. It can be hard not to feel inferior when dealing with Kryptonians.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
The woman is essentially walking ego and this has had her pride deflate rather abruptly. And Monet is trying to hold it back and to not lash out. "Thank you. I.. Appreciate that. And I will take you up on it. You.. Do not owe me anything and I cannot repay you for doing this for me. Thank you." She does not deserve it.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Kara smiles. "You can replay me. The next time you see someone who could use your help, help them, like I'm helping. It makes the world better all around." She offers a handshake towards Monet's good hand. "I'm Kara, by the way."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would dip her head, "A.. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Kara. I.. Clearly have much I need to do to improve myself. You are.. A better person than I am."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "I don't know about that. You fought a giant monster. /I/ didn't fight a giant monster." Kara says, lightheartedly, as she tries to lighten the mood. "So I think you have one up on me there."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would close her eyes, "I'm sure that you've fought far worse things just as often. But.. Thank you. You are a good person, Kara. I am sorry for when we last met lashing out at you."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Kara smiles. "It's okay. Everyone has bad days. Trust me, it's already forgotten." She moves to stand again. "The Amazons asked for your help...I trust you're on good terms with them?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shrug her shoulders, "I do notknow. I assume so. But they gave me aid and they accept me. I am obligated to them in turn. They seek to make the world better."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "They helped me with combat training. Why don't we go down, and I can arrange the same for you, too. We can all train together." She stands, offering her free hand to Monet.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix goes toshake the hand, "Thank you, Kara, for having given me some persepctive. I.. Appreciated it." Her tone is genuine.
