Synopsis: Angela is welcomed to SHIELD as a consultant.
Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Aldrif Odinsdottir, Peggy Carter

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson had made an appointment ahead. Contacting Angela and Peggy adn quickly briefing Peggy on her conversation. Angela was from somewhere called 'Heaven' and wished to return to her dimension of origin. Her outlook on life of exchange. A favor must be done for a favor, nothing is ever given for free.
Mary Jane had talked to Angela of SHIELD's members whom were fluenti n magic and portals and that they could possibly give her aid. In return for occasional service.
Having at least some interest on both ends, Mary Jane had arranged a meeting, and was now going to the office.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Contacting Angela, who doesn't own a phone, can be something of a chore, but somehow MJ did it. She was given the location of the Triskelion to go to, and after after a bit of asking around, found the place.

She's dressed as she usually is. Space bikini showing off /way/ too much skin, her sword Xiphos strapped across her hips, and her ribbons which float about beside her, giving clues as to her mood more than her features do.

As she goes to the meeting with Peggy, her posture is relaxed, though her steely white eyed gaze keeps track of everything that she sees going on. "And Peggy is the leader of this organization?" she asks to confirm.

Peggy Carter has posed:
As the knock comes at the door, Peggy calls without hesitation, "Come in." She was expecting them, after all. Her office is a mix of old-school dark wood, heavy desk, leather chair, her tea cart and an old radio all backed by the achingly modern Triskelion walls and great bullet proof glass windows. It, somehow, seems to suit her, even if the styles should clash.

Incredibly pregnant or not, she is still polite enough to stand when meeting someone for the first time. It just takes a bit of a struggle to get her out of her chair. She must be well into her last trimester, belly round and straining against the summer wrap dress she's wearing. Her dark hair is worn in vintage curls and she's still in her classic red lipstick. Dark eyes give Angela a very curious up and down look at the woman's complete lack of clothing, but she looks mainly amused. "Agent Watson...and your...Friend. Welcome. Would you like tea?" Her voice is still ever British accented and polite.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would move to the side and bow her head, "Chief Carter." She would look to Angela, "Chief Carter is the.. Active commander of SHIELD forces. She's been fighting the good fight for longer than most humans will live even if they're ancient by our standards." Mary Jane was about to use 'a century' then realized that particular timespan may not resonate for Angela.

So she quantifies it over in comparison. "She is an honorable warrior and a good person and it is an honor to be considered worthy to serve underneath her."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela dips her head in greeting to the Chief. "I am Angela, Mistress of the Hunt to Heaven," she says in way of greeting. "I have been told that you can assist me in returning home, and in return I shall assist you in your endeavors. This is a fair trade."

At the mention of honor, Angela scoffs, but says nothing. Clearly she has a dim view of the concept.

Peggy Carter has posed:
Both brows quietly inch up her face as Peggy hears the faint scoff about honor, and the woman's somewhat presumptive statement upon first marching into her office. Peggy tilts her head in greeting, her smile on the edge of amused as she murmurs quietly, "Alright then, no tea, it seems." She then folds herself carefully back down into her chair, trying to look as neat and professional as she can when she's this round.

"Alright, it is possible that yes, some of our scientists may be able to assist you in returning home. How long have you been gone from Heaven? What ended up bringing you here, so far away from your home?" Peggy asks flatly, her voice patient and curious, but there is an edge of amusement to it all. Sometimes her life was quite surreal. "Mary Jane, you are welcome to tea, if you'd still want some."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod, "Thank you Chief, that's greatly appreciated." Normally Mary Jane wouldn't quite be this formal, but the aspect of Sonja in her has noted that Angela might in turn respond better to a scenairo that's more regimented and focused. So at least she's keeping up the pretense of it.

Going to quickly get herself some tea and moving to sit down.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"I have been in Midgard for over a year," Angela answers. "As for how I came to be here, I do not know." Her gaze lifts and stares off into the middle distance as she recounts, "I was on a hunt in Heaven... the tenth realm... when a dimensional rift tore me from my home." Her eyes snap back to Peggy, "I had spent some time in space searching for a way back before I came to Earth, and I have made it my home since."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"Midgard. So you are somehow related to the Asgardians, or your people share their terminology?" Peggy does know a FEW aliens and a thing or two about them. As Mary Jane said, the woman has been serving for longer than most human lives, though she looks to be somewhere in her early thirties and incredibly healthy, all things considered. She must have something special about her, to be that long lived.

"Have you spoken to anyone else in SHIELD about this, Agent Watson? Agent Sims, perhaps, or anyone else with SWORD?" Peggy does not seem opposed to helping the other woman, but she's also not going to promise it when she's not certain what they can do.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head, "Not as of yet Ma'am. I haven't had the chance to run into any of them in any capacity and I wasn't sure I had enough information to make a request of them." She would dip her head over to Angela.

"We don't know necessarily whether we can help you or that it's within our capabilities to do so."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela's stony face pulls into a scowl at the mention of Asgardians, and her ribbons twitch agitatedly. "Asgardians," she nearly spits. "Their king, Odin, sundered Heaven from Yggdrasil, leaving us in isolation from the other nine realms. All for nothing but honor."

She nods at Mary. "I know that there is no guarantee of success," she says. "But still, effort would be made, so effort will be given."

Peggy Carter has posed:
While Angela is scowling, her answer tells Peggy a lot more about pieces of the puzzle she is missing. Once an Asgardian realm, if no longer. She gives a sharp little nod, reaching to take a sip of her own tea as she considers the issues in front of her. "SHIELD is here to help humans and non-humans from the stranger things in this world and universe. I'd say you firmly fall into that category. While we won't always say no to assistance, you have no obligation to repay us. Getting you safely home would be payment enough. Mary Jane, how did you both meet? How do you feel about taking on this project, since you brought her to my attention."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod at Peggy, "I was expecting something like that Ma'am. So long as you feel comfortable with it as does Angela." SHe would nod over at the taller, more dangerous redhead. "And I appreciate you listening us out on this. Both of you."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"Nothing for nothing," Angela tells Peggy. "I pay my debts. Angels are creatures of balance." She nods to Mary Jane, "We had met at a museum. There I met both her and Sonja, and had a pleasant conversation."

Peggy Carter has posed:
There is a slight set to Peggy's features that is a mix of stubborn and determined, but also recognizes the Alien woman is just as much so. Like knows like. She lets out a slow breath through her nose, leaning back in her chair, "Alright. We could us all the information we can get about your world, what happened to your people... How we would help any of you in the future. That would be a great help and, in turn, we'll see what we can do about getting you back there. Watson, the job is all yours. I suggest starting with Foster and Simms, I have to wonder if this has any relation to the Heaven and Angels we fought with during the winter. Likely not, but it's worth investigating..."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Yes, they would do it, but Angela would have none of it. The Angel has her own pride and stubborness. Some things are just left up and over to insistence. Mary Jane goes to nod, "It's good to have you with us. And.. Doctor Foster's very fluent in the mythology so she might be able to give us some ideas. Then we can start backtracking from there on realities?"

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"I have met those angels," Angela says with a certain amount of disdain, "and they were no angels of mine. The angels from Heaven are fierce warriors, whereas those were little more than automatons." She nods to MJ, "I look forward to meeting her, then."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"If you are serious about helping AND there is a non-classified mission we have, you can take her along as back up on Level 1 or level 2 missions, Mary Jane. But only the unclassified ones. And if you are going into the field as a SHIELD agent, we will require you to wear a bit more clothing. There are SHIELD uniforms generally everyone wears in the field. If you are representing us, ever, I ask that you dress like us. Otherwise, the exchange will remain for information only. We will still help assist you home either way." No matter how soft Peggy might seem around the edges, all warm cheeked and round bodied now, her voice has the sharpness to it of someone who has been in command a very long time and is excellent at her job. She's respected for many reasons, and her ability to command people in the field at the top of those reasons. There is nothing actually soft about Peggy Carter.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod at Angela and smirk her lips upwards, "Sonja was a lot the same way on it." The 'wearing more lcothes' bit. "She still says that armor does no good against what we run into in the field and she might as well go in her normal to let herself have more agility." Sonja might be blessed by Scathach, but the blessing had not quite carried in full to this day and to her soulbound.
    "Yes Ma'am."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela scowls at Peggy as she examines herself, the twin ribbons curling into question marks. "What is wrong with the way I dress?" It's an honest enough question, not really meant to be rude or anything. She looks up with a shrug. "I understand." She runs a finger along the markings around her eyes, "These mark me as a huntress for the Angels. It is important to show who it is that you represent."

She nods at MJ. "Sonja is wise. I hope these uniforms are not too restricting."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"And if you fight on our side, yes, you will be marked as a SHIELD agent in those clothes. They are made to be easily moved in and withstand the stresses of a fight." Peggy sets her lips in a certain line as the woman asks what is wrong with her dressing. She exchanges a brief look with Mary Jane, knowing that the intricacies of different cultures is something worth treading around delicately.

"There is nothing wrong, per say, with the way you dress. It is you and your culture. I understand it shows such things. And I greatly wish our society had come to a point where we were not quite so puritanical about showing vast amounts of skin, but we are not. Most would consider it unprofessional for field work to be exposing so much flesh. There's a lot of old sexist standards around it and, ultimately, if I'm sparring you, I want you to wear whatever is most comfortable. But, as I said, when we are in the field, we fight as a unit and that unit all dresses alike."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would add, "It's for unit cohesion and morale purposes. For the rest of the group it marks you as one of us when we're in the field. If you're clad on your own it makes it a little rougher instinctively. When in a fight and you see something unknown, it slows down by just a second where you wonder i they're friend or foe and it's another calculation. So it's for hte purposes of the field team."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"I see..." Angela says thoughtfully. "Very well, I accept." She steps forward and extends a hand. "Custom requires a handshake to bind the agreement, I've been told."

Peggy Carter has posed:
A slightly softer smile crosses Peggy's features as the agreement is made and the handshake is offered. She doesn't get up this time, but she does lean forward, giving the alien a firm, reassuring handshake with a little squeeze at the end, "It's done, then. I'll let recruiting know that she can get a consultant's lanyard and will have level 1 access to anywhere here at the Triskelion. Show her where human resources are to be fitted for a uniform, just in case, and keep me updated how meetings with Foster and Sims go, yes?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would move to the side, "Thank you Ma'am." Dipping her head to the Chief and then to Angela. "Be nice to have you working with us. Sonja's interested in sparring with you soon enough." Mary Jane knows that's not going to go well.
