A Fantastic location for art
Date of Scene: 24 June 2022
Location: Roof - Four Freedoms Plaza
Synopsis: Vivian stops by Four Freedoms Plaza to draw Sue. They chat about science, art and the merits of capitalism. Not to mention how Valeria is kind of a handful.
Cast of Characters: Susan Richards, Vivian Vision

Susan Richards has posed:
It's a wonderful summer day in Manhattan, not too hot, at least not on the rooftop of Four Freedoms Plaza, though the altitude and winds might have something to do with that, as it's a bright and sunny day that compliments the set that Susan Richards is eying critically. The landing pad has been temporarily repurposed with a variety of potted ferns, even a small palm tree, though still certainly large enough to earn the name 'tree', all arranged to be suitably obscuring to the city skyline behind, gaps filled in with a simple frame holding up white fabric almost in the shape of a tent, a luxuriously padded chair set up next to a small glass topped brass table with a bottle of sparkling grape juice and a wine flute she's been sipping from as she eyes the decor critically.

She sighs softly, it's probably /too/ much effort. A recent discussion with her daughter brought up the subject of Vivian Vision's forays into artistry, and Susan's had her curiosity piqued and that familiar itch to help the next generation working in her head. Artists need models, and it's a wonderful season to relax and enjoy a flight of fancy. But she probably doesn't need to set up an entire /stage/ for it no matter how much she wants to support the young woman. And yet she has.

She chews her lower lip thoughtfully, eyes hooded, almost narrowing as her left hand cups her right shoulder, thumb brushing against bare skin, a light blue strapless sundress clinging to her upper body, drifting around her hips and thighs in the breeze with enough excess fabric it could hang loose if she just put up a forcefield to block the wind. But she'll wait for the artiste to arrive and collaborate before deciding on that. Besides, if anything /truly/ important comes up, they're sure to hear the explosion from Reed's lab, or see the extraterrestrial doom ship entering Earth orbit.

But really, who would dare attack Earth on such a fine day? It should be fine.

Vivian Vision has posed:
When Vivian began her art project she wasn't really sure who she'd end up drawing. Her social circle thankfully contained a few professional models and, unexpectedly, some enthusiastic volunteers. Having Valeria encourage Susan Richards to model? Her probability calculations ranked that as a highly unlikely event!

But not that long ago she received some very good advice from Felicia Hardy about taking control and being confident with her work. And after a short cost/benefit calculation.. Well why not?

Of course creating art means engaging with her emotional core. And that alas means nerves. She arrives exactly on time, as always, with her art supplies carefully tucked away in the many pockets of her yellow cargo pants. Along with her sketchpad and a smaller portfolio book with replicas of her prior work. Just so she can give her models a sense of what her other work is like.

Each of the originals now in the possession of the model. As a thank you for helping Vivian with her work. She tucks the books neatly under one arm and gives a shy little wave in greeting with her free hand.

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan's lips split into a wide, genuine smile as Vivian arrives, arm lifting from caressing her shoulder in thought to a breezy, genuinely friendly and eager wave as she calls out, "Vivian! Lovely to see you! I hope the set works! I suppose I /could/ have just had you draw me on the couch inside, but I figured I'd try to add a little bit of variety for inspiration."

She sways her hips, breezy and cheerful and clearly just luxuriating in getting out and doing something that's not related to... well, Costumed Adventuring. She draws up in front of the synthezoid, eyebrows perking thoughtfully as she murmurs dryly, "Should I offer you a hug? I know you and Val are getting along wonderfully... but I don't want to be... you know, one of those moms who crowds her daughter, no matter how much I adore her."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"It is very impressive," Vivian admits looking around her. "I have yet to add much background to any of my work, but in this case I shall certainly make the effort. Although I expect I will use my full processing power to expediate that. Usually I only use physical techniques a Human has access to for the model herself. I'm trying to make the experience authentically Human."

"And a hug would not be a problem Mrs Richards." She offers a shy smile. "I am used to being around Janet and Nadia. It was extremely kind of you to volunteer to model."

She might be a little awkward a hugger, but it's perhaps unstandable with the large books under her arm!

Susan Richards has posed:
There's a soft little noise from Sue, somewhere between an amused snort and a genuine laugh, and she's reaching out to apply a snug, friendly hug to the young woman as she murmurs dryly, "Ah! Yes, well, being acquainted with Janet does tend to make hugs seem rather pedestrian." She heaves out a mock sigh, "But she really is a delightful friend to have. Never a dull moment with Ms. van Dyne around!"

She lets that hug end and slips alongside Vivian', eyebrows perking as she eyes the books and hums out, "Oh! Val said I'd probably get to see some examples of your works before we got down to seeing what we can make together." She grins lopsidedly and murmurs out softly, "I'll admit, I'm a little shocked Val took part in something involving art!"

Vivian Vision has posed:
Vivian Vision frowns for a second. "Sometimes I would like a little more quiet," she admits conspiratorially. "Janet and Nadia do spend far more time being kidnapped than I am comfortable with."

And then in an instant her mood brightens again. "I had a large selection of costumes available for her. So I'm sure it felt less like art and more like a fashion show." She untucks the books and offers the smaller one. The portfolio currently has four different models, some in multiple poses, and in a variety of styles. Classic life modelling for some. Cosplay for others. And a nineteen thirties burlesque inspired piece. The book also has a few drawings of science experiments, because she is in GIRL after all, usually with neatly annotated notes made in the margins.

"I'm trying to branch out from a pure focus on technique to incorporating more of myself and the model into the work."

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan can't hold back a shocked, eye-widening burst of laughter at that conspiratorial murmuring, her head bobbing quickly, "It's true, every time I run into them, it seems to be because they're celebrating the recent unkidnapping of one of them... do you think that some of them are on purpose?" Her voice quirks up with just the /slightest/ bit of sarcasm at the end.

And then Susan's eyebrows are lifting high, "Wait! A large selection of costumes? For /Val/? ...Wait, were they all t-shirts and leggings?"

Her voice drips warmth and amusement, she's not /really/ in pure disbelief at Valeria having multiple fashions... she's had to tidy her closet up before, after all.

Her eyes devour the art, gaze intent, but also just... appreciative.

She smiles and bobs her head, "Oh, I imagine that's... challenging. I mean, it's one of those things about being an artist that I don't think those viewing the art realize they appreciate... but I have to say, you seem to have a talent for it! And I'm /more/ than happy to help nurture that."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"They were cosplay costumes," Vivian elaborates. "A character from a game, a replica Amazon costume inspired by a trip to Themyscira I was fortune enough to take and.. She claimed to have found an 'Emma Frost' costume. But I think it was just bits from several other costumes."

Technically they're all quite good for her level of experience. As you might expect with superhuman precision and enhanced senses. And there is certainly more expression in some than a simple photographic replica of the image might produce.

"It still feels strange to think of myself as an artist. Between school and working at GIRL I haven't found myself engaging in nearly as much conflict." A shrug. "Not that I mind having drawn more people than I punch over the last month."

Susan Richards has posed:
Sue arches her left eyebrow and hums softly, "Bits of /several/ other costumes? So one of her more modest fashions." She sighs out and shakes her head slowly, "Well, that's... good. I mean, I did encourage Val to get out of the lab and explore what excites her. I certainly can't then be upset she's /actually/ listening to me."

Sue laughs softly and offers the book back as she tilts her head and hums out, "Yes, it's been... /alarmingly/ peaceful these last couple of months. Well, insofar as... world-threatening concerns." She presses her lips into a thin line and sighs out, "I think I owe at least one or two people some money on bets about the space port leading to mass chaos and such." She spins about and strides over to that plush chair to sink into it with a bright grin, "So! Should I just recline and let you see what you come up with to draw? Maybe I'll get Val to get creative with me and suggest some cosplay of my own."

Vivian Vision has posed:
Vivian Vision nods in agreement. "Or they were just random things from JvD Fashion which had got mixed in," she carefully selects a specific pencil and then adds "We also did throw that space party. That's both lab work and a social function rolled into one."

She glances around the space. "That would be wonderful thank you," she agrees in response to Sues suggested pose. "I'll just walk around the space to get an idea of the best angle." Which in some ways is silly, by engaging her holographic systems she could map the space with a thought. But she promised herself she'd stick to traditional techniques for everything important. "Do you not worry she'd pick out something embarrasing?"

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan's lips quirk in an almost knowing, all too secretive smile, bright eyes narrowing as she hums softly, settling herself down on the seat in the midst of the little 'studio space' she's set up, one heel resting on the edge of the seat, arms hooking around her knee... is it natural grace? Oh no, it's Susan thinking very clearly about posing to act as muse to the budding artist that is her daughter's friend, and truthfully one of hers as well. "I'll admit, the idea of a party /and/ science work combining and not ending in some sort of..." Her lips press in a thin, thoughtful line for a moment, "Fire? Yes. Probably a fire. Is... surprising! Well, okay, I suppose I'm picturing a mixture of one of Janet's parties and Reed's experiments, not Val... she's more... responsible."

Sue rolls that word around on her tongue like it feels /odd/ saying her dear daughter is more responsible than her father, or Nadia's adopted mother... although, really, Sue /is/ always concerned Val's going to get herself thrown through time and/or space... so maybe she's /not/ entirely sure her daughter's more responsible than her husband. She quirks an eyebrow thoughtfully and hums out, "Well, I'd really hope she'd look at what a loving, non-taskmistress mother I've been and choose to show mercy upon me. Also, I /do/ have a membership to the Hellfire Club and have been to their galas. If Valeria can top the embarrassment of some of /those/ fashion decisions over the years I think I probably deserve my fate."

Vivian Vision has posed:
Vivian makes a slow circuit around the rooftop. Looking at the buildings and generally getting a good idea for how the light will work. Before finally settling on what she's calculated will be the optimal angle and sketching position.

"The GIRL sleepovers are both science retreats and slumber parties. And so far we have maintained a record of one hundred percent success with avoiding unintentional translocations. Either dimensional or otherwise." She offers what she hopes is a re-assuring smile. But the word unintentional perhaps undoes a bit of that re-assurance! "The only current concern is that Irie is having temporal problems and keeps getting older in bursts. But that's unrelated to anything we've done."

"Hellfire club? I'm not really sure I've heard of that before. It sounds a little..." She scowls. "I'm not sure how to phrase it. Like the name of a lap dancing bar?" There's a shake of her head. As if she's briefly considered looking it up online but doesn't want the Avengers seeing it in her search history. Just in case.

"If you need a third party to mediate costume decisions I would be more than happy to help. Felicia, one of my models who actually professionally works as a model, said I should be more assertive with things like stage direction. Costumes and poses. That kind of thing."

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan lets out a low murmur, soft and noncommittal and frustratingly capable of being 'It is very good your slumber parties have gone well' and 'Just what do you /mean/ by 'unintentionally' young lady?' But there's no dangerous glint to those warm blue eyes, and Susan's content to watch the synthezoid as she works through angles and lighting and... well, does all the things one would expect of a young artist contemplating how to capture her model.

Susan laughs softly and quirks an eyebrow thoughtfully, "I'm sure one of the establishments offers that sort of service. It's... a very silly thing really. A club for the rich and powerful, with competent security and concierge services. Basically a place for those who can't unwind without the press paying attention to have a place the press can't go. Or, at least can't go for work, I'm sure there are some members who are /also/ part of the press, but keep the confidentiality up as their own little haven. Really, the steakhouse there is the best part."

Susan reclines in her seat and perks her eyebrows up, "Oh my! You're /already/ working with professional models? Now I've /really/ got to make sure I bring my A game for you! And oh, I think this Felicia is likely right. You're the artist, we're here to... provide you inspiration and show the world your point of view..." She grins lopsidedly, "I'm certain an amount of assertive decision making on posing and costuming would help with that. Perhaps as we get more familiar you can relax and try to direct me more to your desire." She clears her throat and narrows her eyes, "And if you want more information on the club, you could ask Janet sometime. ...Although you might wind up needing to set aside an afternoon for her stories. And I'm sure some of them will be embellished. I don't remember /half/ the things she claims."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Ah. I'm always very conflicted about notions of wealth and priviledge," Vivian admits with a shrug. "On the one hand if Janet didn't have so much money Doctor Pym would likely not have been so well funded. Which means I might not exist. But on the other hand the vast majority of people with power tend to be using it... poorly."

She scowls. "At least for the world in general. I am sure many of them are personally doing extremely well. But then I guess I also get conflicted about steak when I review the data..."

"I'm not working with them /professionally/," she clarifies. Getting the sketch book ready and picking out a pencil. "It's just the Titans have several models as members. And I came into contact with Felicia through the Avengers. Everyone I've spoken to about the project has been very kind and supportive. It probably helps my social circles have a lot of people with unusual situations. So hearing someone wants to learn about Humanity doesn't sound quite as weird as it would if I just struck up a conversation with someone on the street."

"Promise you won't tell Janet but.. I try not to listen to too many of her stories. Because I'm worried I might someday have to testify in court."

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan laughs softly, a genuine, warm peal as she smiles brightly, "You know, that's a very good point I often lose sight of. I mean, dealing with so many outlandish things, such approaches don't really faze me. I mean, I once had a woman show up at the front door demanding access to a portal to hell, and... I mean, I can't even recall if it was a Wednesday or a Thursday!" She lets that smile shift to a lopsided grin and heaves out a sigh, "Vivian, my dear, I think helping you learn about humanity and art is going to be even more delightful than I anticipated. And a wonderful change of pace from what has, apparently, become my new normal."

She frowns thoughtfully and mumbles out, "Well, alright, it's been /awhile/ since our... accidental acquiring powers. So maybe not /new/ normal anymore..."

Susan sighs softly and crosses her arms behind her head, just shifting in her seat, trying a few different poses and trying to figure out one she can hold without too much discomfort. "Of course there are always people who are in possession of power that only use it for their own gain. I think the key is to ensure that whatever they're doing to enrich themselves doesn't actively harm everyone else, and if possible, to convince them to take courses of action that benefit others even if they don't realize or intend for it to."

And then she's laughing softly and murmuring out, "Oh! Yes, I imagine that /would/ be a concern for you! But really, I sometimes wonder if Janet's not nearly as wild as she puts on. If she goes home and has a little laugh at all of us and how completely we accept all her tales of excess."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Having spent a fair amount of time hanging out with Valeria I imagine life around Four Freedoms Plaza has never been anything close to normal," Vivian says with a grin. "I guess really everyone else should judge what life is like for a superhero by comparing it to what you do here."

"You're kind of the pioneers for the modern superhero team after all. I know there were people in costumes before that. But the World War era of superheroes was very... different."

Being mostly about propaganda and punching Nazi's rather than stopping entities eating the planet for brunch.

"I suppose power is a lot like how my Great Aunt Nadia thinks of science. It's not innately good or bad. It's just how it's used." Her synthezoid nature seems to allow her to chat and draw without any real issues. Her hand dancing across the paper marking outlines and generally doing work which would take a regular Human hours in minutes. No need to redraw lines when you have machine precision!

"I don't think legally I can be called as a witness right now. But if Miss Walters is successful with her AI rights work I suppose I'll have the same obligations as anyone else. Perhaps I'll even be on a jury some day."

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan laughs softly and nods, still trying not to move /too/ much. She figures Vivian could probably draw her perfectly from a single moment of posing, but... well, there's something about sticking to the tradition of art, even if it's already accelerated beyond human limits. "Oh, well, it's certainly /a/ sort of normal. But I think far too many people worry about whether or not their life is normal, or they themselves are, without considering... no one is 'normal', everyone has those same thoughts about how they must be different from everyone else."

She laughs softly and nods, "Yes, I imagine science and financial power are very similar, insofar as the more one deals with it, the more careful one has to be to ensure they're handling things responsibly." She snorts softly and murmurs dryly, "Luckily, Valeria's more... impulsive scientific endeavors seem to be of the personal scale, so she's yet to... teleport the entire building or cause any sort of trouble with the timestream." She shrugs casually and sighs, "Or if she /has/ had more dramatic mishaps, she's handled them smartly enough for me not to notice them! That's... good, right?"

Her eyebrows perk and Susan settles into her final position, just the original reclining position once more with her hands clasped atop her knee, her dress given a little help with a forcefield's nudge to cling to her like the breeze is making the fabric flow. "Hm. I hadn't considered the specifics of your situation vis a vis... personhood. I mean, anyone who meets you should immediately have no doubt about it." She grins lopsidedly, "I imagine your experience in jury selection would be unique. I can only imagine the headaches and late nights for the prosecution /and/ defense as they try to chart the uncharted."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"I am generally too busy worrying that Russian spies will attack," Vivian laments. "Or that every time I've ever been to a beach there has been some sort of sea monster turning up. All my clothing is made from a material similar to what my body is made from to allow density changes. Which means my only swimsuit is functionally priceless in value and I've never really had chance to wear it."

She coughs a little. "Trying to fix Irie might well involve some timestream related work so... Let us hope we meet with nothing but success." She offers what she hopes is a re-assuring smile and adds "I hope it'll make you feel better knowing I consider Val a very good friend and if she was ever in trouble I'd do everything I could to help."

"Given that jury selection allows a candidate to be ruled out if either party objects, within certain constraints, I would suppose they'd try kick the proverbial can down the line as much as possible. Assuming that my mental age and physical age did not cause too many complications to allow my selection in the first place. Chronologically I'm almost four but mentally I could qualify as anywhere between eighteen and, if each parallel instance of my mind is counted cumulatively, several hundred if not thousand years old. Even I don't know if I should consider the portion of myself I devoted to listening to the entire back catalog of Dazzlers music as distinct time spent 'living'."

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan hums softly and murmurs out, "That's... a very unfair series of events. Having to ensure your swimsuit is capable of adjusting for your powers. I mean, even when my attire /isn't/ made of unstable molecules and can't go invisible with me, there's a certain level of it not /really/ mattering terribly... after all, I can just wait to reappear somewhere private. I suppose having density shifting powers doesn't allow quite the same level of freedom of choice."

Susan laughs softly and grins, "Oh! Well, if you need any..." She frowns thoughtfully, "Alright, well, I suppose temporal shenanigans likely won't involve anything I can /actually/ help with that you and Val aren't going to be able to do laps around me in regards to the math... but really, I'm sure you'll do great. I was more worried about Val building a time machine because she wants pizza and her favorite place closed hours ago." She winks and murmurs dryly, "I /utterly/ trust GIRL with time travel for /responsible/ purposes!"

Blue eyes widen slightly as Sue contemplates exactly how to calculate Vivian's age for a long, quiet moment. "That is... certainly a deep can of worms to consider. After all, we consider people who spent their /actual/ single lifetime absorbing pop culture as adults once they've hit legal age... artificial life certainly can't tie maturity and age to the physical age of a body, especially if you're capable of inhabiting multiple forms..." She chews her lower lip for a long moment and hums out, "So I suggest... we /also/ kick that can down the road and not consider trying to find an answer to life's great philosophical quandaries while we're enjoying a summer day and artistic endeavor on the rooftop!"

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Every item of clothing I own was designed by Janet and created by Pym Industries in a top secret lab. Putting me in the very unusual situation of my socks being state secrets," Vivian says with a grin. Clearly seeing the funny side in the bizarre nature of her situation. "Val thinks unstable molecules should work with my powers. Given I'm a synthetic replica of organic life. But they're hardly cheap either."

Also they usually come in spandex or lycra which isn't exactly her thing!

"I have taken steps to ensure such trivial use of time travel doesn't happen. By learning to bake cakes, cookies and all manner of savory junk food items. Rather than break the laws of time and space for a pizza I simple turn the oven on. By the time the math is complete everyone can smell the food."

"I don't inhabit multiple forms but I can split my mind into distinct entities for various tasks. For example to hold a conversation with someone I run a Human speed subroutine to handle communication." She pauses. "But yes probably a better question for professional philosophers." Viv isn't sure if that's actually a thing people do for a living but then people dress up as Bats to fight crime. It's a wide world of possibilities.

Her drawing has already come on quite a ways. While Sue was selecting her pose the background was largely filled in. Following the Human way of doing things doesn't seem to mean totally abandoning her synthetic abilities. No point drawing things wrong and correcting herself for the sake of it!

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan smirks lopsidedly and laughs, "Yes, unstable molecules are... well, short of the outfits she's made for you, they make even Janet's taste in fashion seem /entirely/ financially reasonable." She taps her chin and muses, "Unstable cargo pants... /so many pockets/... if anyone would have those it would surely be Val."

Susan laughs and bobs her head, grinning crookedly, "Oh yes, well, being able to cook is always a good thing. If nothing else, it makes for easy gift giving! Everyone enjoys a heartfelt gift of cookies or the like. You don't even need to wrap them in a fancy package!"

Sue continues to hold her posture, eyes not quite locked on Vivian, but definitely focused on her as she hums softly, "I do hope you'll let me do this for you again. I mean, I know you've got other models, but... well, this is /fun/! Also, you know, one of the more unique ways I've helped a younger heroine in expanding her skills. Frankly I think I enjoy helping with artistic skills more than heroic adventuring skills. This is far more... considered and controlled. Less... flying by the seat of my molecularly unstable jumpsuit as it were."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"The well timed application of a snack break has certainly prevented GIRL from engaging in a few potentially risky projects," Vivian jokes. "Also given the constant risk of assassins and spies. It just saves us a lot of hassle security vetting the delivery drivers. Black Widow designed the security procedures so by the time a pizza does make it into the labs it's usually cold and has been through security checks the Pentagon would call excessive."

Which is probably only a slight exaggeration.

"If you're getting uncomfortable at any point you don't need to rigidly hold the pose. I can compensate for most motions. It's cheating a /little/ but I think it's okay to be flexible with my own self imposed rules for the sake of the comfort of my models."

"I do admit it's nice working on a project where the world will never be in peril as a result. And I'm always happy to draw people more than once. Valeria ended up posing for three drawings in one sitting. I think people are probably far too complex to ever fully capture no matter how often you draw them. So there will always be some new side of them to explore."

Susan Richards has posed:
Susan snorts softly and bites her lower lip, trying not to grin /too/ broadly as she murmurs dryly, "Yes, well, I can only imagine how /much/ more hectic things would be if you weren't taking such measures to reduce the numbers of assassins and spies." Because it's not like there have been /tons/ of dramatic kidnappings or anything... just... a lot! Susan clicks her tongue and shakes her head sadly, "Cold pizza, that's... really only acceptable during final exams in college."

Sue gives a little shake of her head and laughs, "Oh no, I'm fine! I mean... truthfully I could just cheat and make an invisible cushion if I needed extra support... but that seems even /more/ like cheating, doesn't it?" One eyebrow perks ever so minimally, eyes sparking playfully. "And yes... it's nice to have something to do that hasn't got dire stakes or financial stability of companies or nations at risk..." She sighs softly and murmurs dryly, "If we wind up in a situation where the world hinges on your artistic ability in the future, we're both going to feel /very/ silly about saying this." She nods her head and murmurs thoughtfully, "Oh yes, that's a fair point. After all, every drawing is a chance to capture another mood, and everyone will be slightly different than the last time you met them, as they live their lives. I will /have/ to at least equal Valeria for efforts in aiding your education!"

Vivian Vision has posed:
"If we wind up in a situation where my art skills will save the world... I will probably be too perplexed at how the situation came to be to draw very well," Vivian laments. "Or at least I would have to disengage my emotional core to concentrate but then I'd simply create a replica of what I can see with no artistic merit."

Her drawing is now quite advanced in terms of progress. With mostly just fine detail work left to add. A remarkably rapid speed for quite a high level of detail.

"Eventually I intend to try painting, but given Human perception of colour is extremely limited I don't know if it'll really work out as intended."

The synthezoid teen blushes as Sue talks about equaling Valeria in aiding her education. She does after all stop round to visit quite often. Counting Val as one of her closest friends. And one of the people she first turns to with questions about organic life which are potentially unusual or awkward.

Questions like 'What exactly is the Hellfire Club like?' and 'Oh gosh why did you tell me that I know Janet goes there?'.

Susan Richards has posed:
There's a ghost of a smile on Sue's lips as she draws a blush from the synthezoid... she wasn't /planning/ to find out if Vivian could blush, but now she knows! How interesting. She hums softly and murmurs dryly, "Well, it seems /very/ unlikely that you'll be on the spot having to do a last minute drawing to save the world. But it's probably best not to discount the possibility entirely."

As Susan holds her posture, one eyebrow quirks as she murmurs softly, "Oh my! Now that's actually a very interesting idea. You could try exploring your artistic inspirations in ranges of colour humans can't see. That could really be very interesting. Especially if we could set up some sort of viewing that would let people see what they normally can't."

Sue's grin grows a little wider and she murmurs out, "But I'll not rush you on that! I think this drawing will do quite nicely for now, and I can surprise Valeria with it. Even if it's not a /terribly/ surprising drawing in and of itself I'm sure she'll be shocked I went and did something even remotely frivolous."

Vivian Vision has posed:
The Visions are, or at least claim to be, capable of doing anything at all a Human could do. Blushing, crying and getting fed up while waiting in line at the DMV (or at least they would do the last one if legally they could register to own & drive a vehicle). You name it they can do it.

Although Viv isn't sure she can appreciate bagpipe music. So perhaps not /everything/ a Human can do.

"The one trouble with that.. Well the two troubles I suppose. Is finding suitable paints which are non-toxic and also... allowing people to see outside of their normal range of perceptions probably involves some sort of brain manipulation. At least I can't think of any other way to bypass the optical nerves."

Which is not to say GIRL couldn't do it! Once they've got a little time between sorting out time travel matters and exploring the universe with FTL starships.

"I've been finding the Summer vacation has left me plenty of time for various projects," she admits shyly. "Drawing people. Running a few experiments of my own. I've also been looking into creating a synthezoid pet dog but the project is still very much in the early stages." She smiles. "Val might not be too shocked given she recommended you volunteer? But I'm sure she would appreciate the thought behind it."
