An Unexpected Event
Date of Scene: 24 June 2022
Location: Basement Apartment
Synopsis: Micola goes quiet, but not on purpose. Pietro isn't particularly happy with the NYPD.
Cast of Characters: Micola Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola's phone had been off for most of the afternoon, which might not be weird for her, but it does get weird when her time to get off her volunteer shift in Bushwick comes and goes and there is no call whatsoever from the woman with the bluish-green hair. And Pietro might be worried. Or she might have just left her phone at home.

Sadly if the royal one would have checked the apartment he'd be greeted by the flashing red and blue lights of the NYPD and a lot of people milling around the outside and inside of the building that Micola owned.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Worried doesn't truly strike until such time as Pietro makes his way to her apartment. Immediately, his displeasure is apparent. The look on his face is one more familiar to those who knew him from before - a permanent scowl and glare. Moving up to the front of the crowd, he peers about for any police detective in charge.

Spotting one, he makes his way over to them without concern for any police barricades. "What is going on here?" He asks, ire raising by the millisecond.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
There are a few people in the crowd that make a wide berth when there is a scowling Avenger that shows up. Pietro's ire that's rising is something that is probably palpable to those who have a modicum of a brain. One of the detectives that's been talking to someone gives a look up, "It's a crime scene." he tells the white haired man.

He closes the notepad and then walks over towards Pietro, "Owner went missing. Are you familiar with this place?" the older man asks him in a quieter tone.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"Very. My girlfriend lives here. Manages the store." Pietro states flatly, eyes going to the notepad then back to the man addressing him. "She went missing. And it is a crime scene. Did someone break in? Is there damage?" While he is most certainly aggravated, he is doing well and not projecting it on the detective in charge.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
The detective blinks and then breathes out, "That definitely wasn't in her file. I'm sorry." he tries to cover the mess up, but...so far the NYPD have been a little ignorant of being actual cops. "There's damage downstairs, her phone and things are all here. Signs of a struggle and we're waiting for blood that was found to be confirmed. Her assistant came in for his shift and found the shop wasn't open and then went down to check the apartment and found things." he admits.

"Working theory is that whoever is responsible for the murders that have been happening did this. Too coincidental that this happened so close to the information leak." he explains. "Your Highness...it is your Highness, right?" he asks, then he continues, "I'm sure the other detectives would be fine if you took a look around or if you wanted to get anything you might need from here until we get done with things?" he offers.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There's a nod of thanks to the detective. "It wasn't something broadcast dramatically." He says, a bit curtly. A pause, and a sigh. "Sorry." He apologizes. "I will take a look, and I will not disturb the scene, as to not disrupt your investigation."

Pietro looks to the man. "Too coincidental, indeed. I am concerned that someone might have taken advantage of the lull we'd been seeing in interested onlookers." A frown. "Anything in there of mine, you are free to investigate, to help the situation."
