Cast of Characters: Gabby Kinney, Julian Keller

Gabby Kinney has posed:
There was a THING going on at the Hellfire Club tomorrow night, as Gabby had found out. That was a place that, as of yet, she had a feeling even her best bud Emma wouldn't let her near without good reason. Julian on the other hand was a member, and of the proper age to be hanging out there, so she would just have to live vicariously through him in some way.

Which is why she's currently sorting through a series of shirts and jackets piled up neatly on one chair to offer suggestions as to what he ought to wear.

"So what is Oktoberfest anyway? Sounds like it ought to happen in, you know, October. It's not like Halloween is it?" She asks while holding up a simple tuxedo jacket that probably cost more than she'd seen in her life. "If it is I don't think this'll work for it."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller has laid out several neatly folded piles of clothes, at Gabby's request. The rest he has displayed on an iPad that she can access laid out on the table. Yes, he has too much wardrobe, and most of it catalogued carefully in an organized EXCEL database that he keeps to manage his brands. He doesn't want to lose track and buy duplicates after all.

"Remind me again of what this place we're going to be is like? I don't want anything that might get ruined..."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney lays a pink shirt over a dark blue jacket regarding it with a tip of her head. That was an interesting combo that might work. The colors at least worked well together. Looking up at the question she can only give a small shrug before reaching for the ipad listing all the rest of his wardrobe. Her fingers flick over the screen to pull up the description of the club room.

"Um, some kind of German beer hall? Ooh they have keilbasa," she croons staring at the screen with a grin. "I guess it's German themed then. What's the rest of the club like, anyway?"

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller strokes his chin, "I'm not sure pink is good at a beer hall. I don't want to match the sausages," he says. "The Club tends to be rather Victorian. Old fashioned with a bit of gothic. Honestly, it could us a makeover but they all think it's very classy," he says.

He flicks his fingers, shifting some of the clothes around. This is good practice for his TK as well as a chance to go through his wardrobe. And hang out with Gabby, which he likes doing more than he almost wants to admit. It's so good to have someone that isn't trying to 'fix' him all the time.

"What're you going to wear? I can buy you something, if you like."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney blinks in a bit of surprise at that only to glance over. It wasn't the use of his TK but asking what SHE was going to wear that catches her by surprise. "Oh, I didn't think they'd allow me in. I mean I've met Emma tons, and she treated us to that spa trip, but I figure the age limit is probably ... I mean, what is it?" She has to ask with a little crinkle of her nose as she glances down to her own attire.

It wasn't exactly fashionable. Leggings and a too-long-t-shirt with some hip-hop style hightops she'd picked up. "Yeah I probably would need to buy something. I guess I could look at dresses," she mumbles thoughtfully while fixing her gaze on the tablet again.

She doesn't stare at it long as she looks back to the shifting attire that he was moving around. "Orange? Let me see if there's any colors for that celebration maybe."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller frowns, "I'm not sure," he says. He never considered the idea that Gabby might not be allowed and feels more than a bit irritated about it. "Even if you can't go, I'll buy you something. Multiple somethings," he says. "You're prettier than you let them see."

He clears his throat at that comment and then considers, "Too Halloweeny. Maybe earth tones. I'm an autumn," he says, with his pale skin and dark black hair.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney gives a little laugh at that though she seems okay with it. Even if he's annoyed. "We can check and see. And if it's that way, well, can't help it. I'll be sixteen in like four months anyway give or take. Shouldn't stop you from having fun." The grin she offers is rather bright as she offers this; she really did mean it. She didn't want to hold him back from an enjoyable night if it'd cause problems.

"I mean if it were somewhere like Harry's sure, but this place sounds like it means business so I don't want to get you in trouble." Nevermind her. Since he was moving the clothes around with TK she steps over to sit down next to him considering. "I still like that dark blue jacket. Maybe that, some brown pants and shoes... I'm not sure for the shirt."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller nods, "I do like the jacket," he agrees. "I'll have to make sure to get you something cool for your birthday. And it won't stop me from having fun, but it might take away a little. Fun is better when you have someone to share it with," he says. And, while he's not a leper or an outcast, Julian isn't exactly flush with close friends.

"The Club is very serious about things. One of the few bad things about society life is that they have minimal senses of humor. They take themselves very seriously."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney gives a sidelong amused look at that particular fact. "I kind of figured that given Emma's reactions to everything." There's a pause before she adds, "Sorry, I don't mean to keep bringing her up. She's just the only other one I know that has ties to high society and the club." She does say 'high society' with a little mock hoity toity voice at least so it wasn't too serious of a conversation itself.

"I think there's this fair coming up in Summer that's sort of like what the club is doing? It showed a lot of people dressed up at least. We can go there! It says it's for families and stuff so I'd fall under the age range at least. Plus I saw the had turkey drumsticks too in the pictures."

Pausing she leans her shoulder against his companionably. A small thing, but worth a shot. It felt nice at least. "You'll just have to tell me all about it after."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller shakes his head, "It's okay, I don't...it's whatever," he says. He's worked to accept that his crush on Emma was stupid and shallow, but he liked it anyway. "Turkey drumsticks are excellent. I bet you could put away more than me," he says with a smile.

He looks over as she leans against him, not having been quite this close to her before. She really is pretty. "Technically I'm part of high society, you know. Even if my parents probably wish I wasn't."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney allows herself an amused grin at his response to that which only grows deeper when she looks at him. "I know, but you're cool so you're okay. I mean, you haven't tried to make me feel bad because I'm not part of it," she points out good-natured with just a little shrug. "Some of the staff at that spa kind of gave me the impression they thought it was a joke I was there. They were nice enough of course, but... You know how you can just tell when someone is talking behind your back?" A little crinkle of her nose comes recalling the event. "It was like that. Fun as it was, I was just as glad to get home too."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller can easily see how he could, once upon a time, have been just as dismissive and just as nasty as any of them to Gabby. It makes him embarassed for himself. "Point out a staffer to me who does that sometime. I'll rattle his teeth a bit," he says. "Maybe literally."

"I'm sorry if I ever made you feel that way. I was kind of a jerk. I still am, mostly," he admits. "Sometimes being a jerk is fun. And it keeps things...easy. Like, caring about someone's feelings can be a pain in the neck," he grins, teasingly poking her belly with a finger.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
At the belly poke Gabby makes a little squeak with a odd look on her face that ends up with her a blushing just a bit. Instinctively she reaches out to grab his hand with a little laugh. Shaking her head quickly she remarks, "Nah you never did. That tickles a bit," she adds in explanation for her knee-jerk reaction. Pain wasn't something she could feel but apparently tickling didn't fall under that heading.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller tugs a bit on the grip on his finger, a playful tug of war, "Good, tickling was fully the intent," he says with a grin. "I don't even need to use my hands to tickle you, you know," he says and, indeed, his eyes flash green for a second as he gives a little TK tickle, being careful as he can so as not to do it too hard. Having Gabby in his life was doing a good job of making him work on his control.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
The dawning realization that, no, he didn't need hands comes very quick when she feels the TK tickling begin. A loud squeal comes from her as she wriggles and kicks her feet out, thankfully just at the air in front of her seat, and finds herself sliding downward with a mixture of laughter and gasping for breath. "OH my--AH HA--No don't---HEE!" Really, if anyone were just coming in or walking past the door it likely would sound awkward. As it is she can't exactly push him away given there were NO HANDS.

So she reaches out to attempt to retaliate wriggling her fingers against his side.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller could probably block the tickles with his TK, too, but instead he allows it, withstanding pretty well at first and then bursting into laughter, falling back onto the love seat and covering up with his hands, "Alright, alright, you win," he grins.

As he settles, he looks at her for a moment and says, "I'm glad we..." he says, "I'm glad we get along," he finally says, blushing a bit at the admission.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney is still red faced herself from laughter when she finally wins this particular fight. Even if he just let her win. A hand rests on the back of the loveseat as she tucks her knees up beneath her to kneel on the cushions while grinning down at him. That little hesitation of his remark earns her reaching out to poke the tip of his nose with her finger.

"I'm glad we do too, Julian. You're pretty great when you relax, you know?"

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller impulsively kisses the tip of that finger, even if he's not sure if he made a terrible mistake doing it.

"I've always had a pretty high opinion of myself. I'm just glad someone else shares it now," he teases. "Weird, I'm almost done with school and I finally find someone worth hanging around for..."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
The little kiss to her finger causes her to pause with a blush of her own. Sitting back to give him room to get up she offers her hand out toward him with a quiet chuckle. "I'm not going anywhere. And I do hang out outside of here, you know. If we want to keep in touch," she adds with a sheepish grin. "I'd like it if we did. I mean. Keep in touch." At least she hasn't stabbed him yet?

Julian Keller has posed:
He takes her hand hesitantly, but not because he doesn't want to. He looks towards the door, as if someone's going to burst in. "Your sister probably doesn't like you hanging out with me. Most people probably don't. I don't exactly have a great reputation," he admits. "And I'm not leaving for a while. I made arrangements to keep my room until the fall at least and I'll probably do some post-grad stuff here even after I get an apartment. One of the benefits of being able to fly."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
That was a good point. Gabby considers those remarks while helping him to sit up again. The glance to the door is noticed and she follows suit by looking over herself. It was quiet enough out there this evening and she hadn't heard anyone go past in awhile. When she looks back toward him she grins faintly. "Probably not. But it's my life, and I want to live it. Plus I can always talk to her, and Logan, and... I mean, if it comes down to it I technically know how to kill someone with a pen. Not like I can't take care of myself."

"Also not gonna do that to you," she adds with a chuckle before leaning in to give his cheek a quick peck. It was quick, and timid, but she gives it a shot to follow up with the kiss to her finger.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller squeezes her fingers as she leads into him, "That's true. Hell, given what you've been through, being able to make your own decisions is something you should have. Even if it's making a terrible mistake like maybe...going out with me?" he says, the last tinged a bit as a question even as the pair of them are someone nestled close now, knees bumping a little awkwardly.

"I will try to make it so you never want to kill me. I can't promise for sure, though," he winks.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney gives his hand a squeeze back while simply enjoying being close. It was an awkward position, limbs tangled next to each other, but she didn't seem to mind. Rather than blurting out a quick response as she usually does she bites her lower lip clearly considering her response while looking over his face studiously. It wasn't as if he wasn't cute, and they did get along, and...

A little breath is exhaled along with a sheepish grin. "I'd like that. I promise I won't stab you without reason," she adds teasingly. "But yeah, I... I'd like that, Julian."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller can't help but break into a grin, "Good," he says. "Glad we got that settled. I'll send over the paperwork later," he teases. He lifts her hand up to his mouth, then, and kisses her knuckles, each in turn.

"Now I just have to figure out where to take you on our first official date. I'll have to put some thought into it. Gotta impress ya," he grins.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney gives a little shiver at those kisses. It does make her grin deepen though with apparent delight, as well as his suggestion of a date. "Okay then! I guess I should find something nice to wear... Or should I wait till you figure it out first so I know what to wear?" That causes her to contemplate looking marginally thoughtful. "For now, I guess we ought to help you finish figuring out what to wear, then we can look at stuff for me," she reasons with a nod. Perfect logic.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller nods, "I think that's probably a good idea. But I don't want you to get up yet, so just sit with me here and I'll move the clothes," he says, shifting a bit to drape his arm over the back of the sofa so she can nestle in against him.

He feels a bit more relaxed, as if he's finally gotten that off his chest as he moves along to sort through the shirts, "Okay. Orange, pink, oyster - I swear, that's what it said on the label - or black."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney silently nods in agreement. When he leans back she shifts to wriggle in close to his side and twists just enough to watch the clothes shift around. An eyebrow raises at the mention of oyster which causes her to regard it thoroughly. "Aren't oysters a terrible grey color? That's more cream." A shrug comes as the color name is brushed off and she lifts her hand to gesture. "It is a nice color though and would go with the jacket. I think black would be a bit too dark for it. Then again if you have greasy food that might hide any drips or stains." Says someone who speaks from experience about messy food.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller nods, "I think they just felt like oyster sounded fancy, without actually knowing what oysters look like," he says. "I don't eat a lot of greasy food at parties. IT gets in the way of absorbing the booze. But it IS german-themed, so there will probably be sausages everywhere. And I don't just mean when Warren Worthington gets a few drinks deep," he says, his arm settling on her shoulders.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney reaches up to take hold of his hand to lightly hold onto when that arm goes around her. It was comfortable, and warm, and she can't help but smile rather happily. "This is nice," she offers quietly. Talk of food and booze and then Warren though earns a laughing, "Eeeew Warren? I guess he does seem like a party guy. He did bring that keg in one day." Which no one let her near. Darnit.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller leans his head against hers, "It is," he agrees, toying his fingers against hers. He was surprised at how comfortable it immediately became.

"The Club has a certain amount of...libertine edge," he says. "Some people enjoy themselves more than others. Warren's a bit of a party animal. So have I been, on occasion, but not to the same degree. Honestly, I find it kind of impressive.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney hmmms softly considering that. "That... hm. Good to know," she teases lightly with a squeeze to his hand. "Warren's so OLD though." Considering this she tips her head up just a bit toward his though not trying to dislodge his comfortable spot. "So.... I should be careful if I go there then."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller turns his head and kisses the top of her head, "If you go there, I'm going to be hovering over you as much as your sister would," he says. "But I know you can handle yourself. Warren's old, yeah, although not, like, crazy old. Not like, say, Logan," he teases.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Oh god no, yeah, dad's ancient," Laura agrees with a nod of agreement. The little kiss atop her head earns another soft smile, and she runs her fingers over the back of his hand. "I won't mind that. At least I wouldn't be alone there. Like you said, it's more fun with friends."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller grins, "I try not to think too hard how his genetics somehow produced...you. No offense, your dad is an impressive individual in many ways and I'm personally afraid of him to a point that threatens my hygiene, but, at the same time, his beauty is not one of his noticeable qualities. You, on the other hand, are friggin' adorable," he says.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney can't help but laugh at that. "Technically... Well I don't know. Clone and all, but yeah somehow that's how we ended up. Maybe the women in the family aren't bad. Have to wait a few more generations to find out if that holds true though." A little light elbow to his stomach is given before she adds, "You're cute too, you know. Though you also don't have him as a relative."
