Taking AIM
Date of Scene: 28 June 2022
Location: Tenderloin District
Synopsis: Catman, Saeko, and The Question make a deal.
Cast of Characters: Thomas Blake, Vic Sage, Saeko

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake looks at his watch and adjusts his cat mask for effect. He wonders if the good guy is even going to show? Is it a sting? If it is, someone will regret it and sooner rather than later. He tests the claws in his gloves a few times. Then he paces, like a caged... you know. The bulky shoulder bag throwing his movements off a bit. Contents, three laptops, three flash drives.

Vic Sage has posed:
With the murder of AIM shadow board member Dr. Martin Danson sitting up there with the top of his obsessions, of course The Question is going to show.

"Catman," remarks a cool, level voice from behind the man. How did he manage to sneak up on Thomas? Commitment to the craft of making an entrance, and near endless patience. Vic's blank countenance sweeps over the man for a moment before the mask bends into something like a frown.

"You have something on AIM?" he asks, gloved hands tucking into the pockets of his trench coat.

Saeko has posed:
A shadow, a party crasher, backup or merely another curious soul. It was hard to know for sure, but none the less another figure appears behind the pair, resting perched nearby? A figure dressed in what appeared to be a more revealing take on a traditional yukata might be strange in itself, but the fact the figure was an impossibly beautiful woman with multiple fox-tails spread out behind her was certainly going to add to the strangeness of it all.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake's eyes narrow behind the mask. "Hands out of your pockets, please. And I'm not some good guy on the clock. I expect something for what I have... a future favor. No bombing puppy and kitten orphanages. Just some investigation down the line. You'd probably like it. What I have are three laptops and three flash drives. No questions about how I got them. I'm locked out but I know AIM techs did not brick them. I want to know what's on them. No one seems to want to listen to me except you."

He looks over at the new arrival and says, "I trust her, what you say to me, you can say to her. I even let her sit my tiger."

Vic Sage has posed:
"All I keep in my pockets is a flashlight. Gun's in a shoulder holster," Vic answers back to Blake, before turning his head to notice the perched Saeko who seems to have an interest in the meeting. "Sure. Let's say I trust her as much as I trust you." he says flatly.

"It's good that you stopped trying to break into them when you did. AIM's got a nasty habit of slotting shape charges into their hard drives. Enough wrong moves and they take out the data...and the hacker," The Question remarks.

"From the attack on the AIM facility a few months ago, I'd wager," Vic says. Thomas just said not to ask questions about them.

"I'll help you with your problem," Vic says with a nod.

Saeko has posed:
A soft chuckle at that, but the Kitsune shrugs her shoulders, a little 'step' leaving her suddenly disappeared from where she rested and reappearing stepping out from behind the man himself. "Interesting," she murmers lightly, crossing her arms under her bust with a little smirk. "Given that I have offered more support to many and more justice to others than any mortal could hope to in their others...but I suppose there's no helping ignorance, no?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods. "I heard about the shaped charges. My colleagues do share information. For what it's worth, she's waaaay more trustworthy than me. I gave these to some fruitcake roboticist who wigged out on me. Which was lucky for him. He pissed off a colleague, not known for their understanding. Anyway, we can meet back here, or... Red Sally's in two days? That should give you enough time to hack it, plan another great entrance, or get yourself blown up." He hands the shoulder bag to Saeko. Then realizes that she's elsewhere. He does have a few goodies on him, for kitsune as well as big cats but he isn't wasting them. He walks over to the Question confidently, stops within arms reach and holds the bag out."

"Sorry hun, he's more interested in the reptilian shape shifters running our government, than your kind."

Vic Sage has posed:
"You got a biography I can read somewhere?" Vic asks flatly of Saeko, frowning a touch. The man doesn't have a running tally of every hero and villain in the world. Too much work. In fact, he makes it a point to forget people that he's statistically certain he'll never come in contact with again. Gotta save space in the ol' noggin.

A hand slips from his pocket and reaches out to accept the bag from Thomas. He slings the strap over his shoulder, nodding to the man.

"There's something far more terrifying running our countries than reptilians. Cruel men," he offers back to the man with another frown.

"Red Sally's in two days. I'll have them open."

Saeko has posed:
"Yes actually, but it's...restricted reading," Saeko muses lightly, turning to step back and gesturing for the pair to continue speaking before making to uncross her arms and lean back like she were lounging across a couch....only she was floating weightlessly in the air. "It is not so suprising. People in power, mortal or otherwise..."

She trails off, shrugging lightly. She'd rather watch this play out than truely interupt it after all.

Thomas Blake has posed:
As far as Thomas is concerned, it has played out. He has further business in two days with the Question. For now, he walks over and embraces the kitsune, inserting his hands in the mass of tails. "It's amateur night at Red Sally's. You want to go there and make all the dancers feel like flat chested tweens with braces?" He gives her a kiss/lick hybrid.
