Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Saturday night in Harry's Hideaway is always hectic. The place is alive with ambience and the music is kicking off well. No live band this week, considering the last time was a fluke and a favor, though there's a hint of where the impromptu stage was set up near that jukebox area. But the soundsystem for the jukey is playing it out pretty darn well.
Around the kitchen area there's always a hustle and a bustle, what with the servers wandering back and forth. Pity the poor schlubs who have to sit next to the kitchen door since every few minutes or so the door /whumps/ into their chair. It's a sad state of affairs and one Jimmy observes from afar.
"I never understand why folks when they're stuck in a situation they don't like don't take some action ta resolve it."
Which might be a curious thing to say even as he turns his head and then laughs a little as he gestures toward Sif, "There is no subtext there, just abovetext. Actualtext. Aerotext?"
The young teacher at Xavier's ponders that conundrum for a moment. But then he leans across the table a little to take the hand of the woman who went all out of her way to come see him out this ways. A small squeeze of fingers as he says, "Hey. S'nice ta see you."

Sif has posed:
Sif was dressed as a Migardian, doing her best to blend in. Thankfully Harry's was used to their special customers that came from a certain school and sometimes there were issues for needing reinforced furniture. Thus Sif had no worries sitting in a chair that had only creaked slightly as she sat down but seemed solid as a rock. She had trust issues with Midgardian furniture. She was wearing jeans, a pair of hiking style boots which worked well at the ranch, and a button up shirt in lovely shade of red. Her hair was down around her shoulders.

She turned her hand beneath his and squeezed back gently. "I had missed you. It's been busy at the Embassy and I haven't been able to get away as much as I'd have liked." Which meant not only had she been neglecting him but her farm as well.

She did consider what he'd said, wondering what had prompted it since her back was more to the offending door. "I am glad you clarified. Else, I would have feared a friend of yours might be in a difficult situation."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
A lift of his chin is given, eyes distanced partially as he makes that gesture. "Oh just, there's a guy sittin' over there. His chair is a lil too close to the door, and I can sorta see it... can sorta smell it." He pauses and half-smirks sidelong at the Asgardian woman.
"He's gettin' madder and madder." Then he tilts his head a little, "And all he'd need ta do is move the table five inches... he's perfectly capable of handlin' his own world, makin' this right." Then he looks back toward her and murmurs, "Yet somehow he feels like someone else has ta handle it. Or mebbe he just likes gettin' mad."
There's a beat as he looks back, then grabs his bottle of beer with one hand and tilts it back for one of those quick swallows. "Prolly gonna leave a bad yelp review." But after that he shakes it off and smiles at her.
"Sorry, sometimes I get lost in mah own lil worl'." That said he gives a nod to her, "I've been swingin' by when I can to the ranch, makin' sure things are seen to. You got some good staff there though, people you hired?"

Sif has posed:
There is a moment as Sif turns to look at the man under discussion. Just in time to see the door open and lightly thud into his chair. It wasn't a hard knock but it would get annoying. She could also see how easy it would be for the fix. Turning back to Jimmy, she shook her head. "I do not understand. Perhaps he is incapable of thinking of the solution which is simplest?"

Yeah, she's wondering if the guy is dumb. Or maybe he does just like being annoyed. She knew Trolls who seemed very much like that. Both dumb and annoyed.

"I have a few I have added to care for the horses when I'm away. Once we finish up the reinforcements of the stalls on the left, I'll be bringing in the Asgardian stock. It should be interesting."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
"So you gonna tell me what's goin' on with you and yours? Or you gonna make me pull teeth?" Jimmy asks with a casual smile even as he looks again over at the man in the blue windbreaker sitting there looking so irate. For a brief moment the set upon customer and his grumpiness looks up and catches Jimmy's glance...
Only for Jimmy to return it with one of those lop-sided half-apologetic and half-'well what did ya expect' smiles that don't really do much to help the situation.
Though it does serve to make the man grimace and turn a little red. Then his attention is back toward Sif as he lifts his chin, "I mean, if you need some convincin' I can try usin' my oh so subtle masculine wiles." He plays up his accent there at the last, half-grinning though lightly touching the toe of his boot to hers.
And, to be fair, he does cut a handsome silhouette. Blue jeans, work boots, a black t-shirt that hugs the contours of his athletic frame, then there's the red flannel shirt that hangs loose over the tee. Not really stand out clothes, but Jimmy makes it work.

Sif has posed:
"I would like to see your attempt at using those wiles," Sif said with a smile, amused at the idea. "But alas, you would be disappointed as there is not much to share."

She picked up her beer and took a long draw off the bottle, setting it back in the cicle of condensation on the coaster. Just so. "Thor has a theory regading visitors to this realm. It is in the early stages thus far." She never called him Prince Thor really, unless it was a formal situation or setting. "We had a meeting at the embassy yesterday with Midgardians, to see if they felt it was viable. But, early stages. Not much I will be able to do until further along the project."

She tilted her head a little as she regarded him. "When that happens, it will require visits to the Nine realms to seek artifacts. I have no doubt it will be enjoyable with many tales to be told after." Meaning there would likely be fights. As she found those enjoyable.

"Though, I need to ask a question before we continue." A serious expression as she looked in his eyes. "What is a Yelp review?"

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
"It's... on a cellphone. You can write a little... tale, speaking of your experience with a particular place n'all. Like, sharing gossip. You let other people know if you liked or didn't like a place. Which a lot of people do cause when they have a problem confrontation is skeery, and they lack the moxie ta do so." He waves a hand to the side, "So I was sorta sayin' the guy's grumpy. But he's not gonna do anythin' about it prolly except complain."
Then he shakes his head, "Which, to be fair, do I know the guy? Nah. So I'm bein' just as bad, right?"
He takes another sip of beer and smiles a little, "But anyways. How many visits are we talkin'?" James' brow furrows as he considers, "If you need a hand..."
    He starts to volunteer.

Sif has posed:
"At least nine. Each of the realms will have need of an item, to help link the realms together more permanently. It will allow for easier travel. For those who are travelling for positive reasons. It will allow them to be funneled to a single location for entry, so that it is known they are not nefarious."

She shrugs a little bit as she glances over at the table where the potential Yelp reviewer was seated. It made no sense. He could just fix it. Yet, he continued to sit there. Midgardians were strange. Problem with confrontation indeed.

She looked back to Jimmy. "I would love for you to join! I did not wish to put you into a situation you felt forced to agree by asking. We will need a few people for each quest. I do not know which realms will be first. There will need to be something from Midgard and Asgard in addition to the other realms. They would be the first two I suspect. Simply because they are more known. While the other realms can become more problematic."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
A small smile plays across his lips as his features color a little. Not out of embarrassment or anxiety, but because when Sif is enthusiastic it gives him a warm fuzzeh. "Alright then, well it's decided."
He offers that with a small smile, covering her hand with his again albeit gently. Just giving a small squeeze, "I got the next few months and all off for the Summer, but I can easily fit my duties into the times when we're not out and about..."
Then his eyes distance as he chuckles a little, "Traipsin' across the universe." Which to be fair has him thinking about it again, since he's not been one big on adventure. He looks back toward her. "Should take some time and practice some more when we get a chance."

Sif has posed:
"Ah, that's right. I had forgotten in this realm, you take time off for part of the year. Our classes are not the same but we study year round as youths," Sif points out as she squeezes his hand again. That little smile, a slight hooding of her eyes. "I look forward to seeing you in action."

Then the server arrives, interrupting. Refills are set on the table and empties carried off. Then Sif continues though the moment is gone now.

"Certainly. I have no duties this weekend. We can spend some time sparring. I would learn more of this world's techniques. And you can work on your swordsmanship." Because really? He needed it. A lot.

"Though I would like to see you truly let loose just once. Perhaps we can go to Asgard soon. Perrfect our skills on a hunt against more dangerous prey than is found in Midgard."

She dropped her eyes then looked back to him. "If you would like to visit Asgard, of course. I do not presume to have ownership of your time or thoughts."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
"I mean," Jimmy tilts his head to the side, "I think I'd like that. A lot to be fair. Heck I figure goin' down to the corner store with you'd be an event in and of itself." The way he says that, she can likely hear the warmth and the laughter in his voice as he offers that. Then he looks to the side, "As for lettin' loose..."
She had seen hints of it before, small flashes of fang, a growl here or there. But beyond that... he keeps a lid on the wild of himself. Knowing full well the havoc it can and has wreaked from his family. He takes another sip of beer and then says, "To you guys..."
    He likely means Asgardians.
"I might just seem like a beast of my own. And it's not exactly... a flatterin' look." Though he does push a hand through that wild mane of his. He's got the grim seriousness to him when he stops the joking around. Maybe that's why he does so at times.

Sif has posed:
Perhaps someone else might reassure him. Tell him it can't be that bad. That the look isn't bad at all when someone loses control. Except, this is Sif. And she has problems of her own if she is not careful. Problems she never made Jimmy aware of.

"If you suffer the danger of the warrior's madness, I understand your caution. I will not press. Though I do wish to see you at the maximum of your abilities, I do not wish a loss of control."

She drops her gaze, a moment of reflection and he might feel that sense of momentary shame. She forces her gaze to him. "I suffer the madness. If I exult too much in battle, the berserker haze overtakes and I become a danger to friend and foe alike. It is why I am so careful to remain in a controlled state when in battle. I try to...not enjoy it. It is difficult."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Taking a deep breath, Jimmy gives a nod and smiles a little. Just a lop-sided half-smile that he gives back to her, rueful and understanding. "Yeah, my father deals with that on a daily basis. He tries... all sorts of things. Meditating, focusing inward, philosophy. It's a hard road to walk, but m'tryin' ta walk it best I can."
Then he tilts his head to the other side as his eyes hood a little, wicked but playful. "Though there are other times when the intensity of such things... can be a benefit." And as he says that he squeezes her hand again, glancing across the way. "How about I go pay the tab and we get on outta here?"

Sif has posed:
That has her laughing softly, as he takes it back to a lighter moment instead of the severity of dealing with such bloodlust. Turning it back to their time they had together for a couple of days without responsibilities.

"There are those times. You pay. I will be back in a moment." And she rose to her feet, heading for that table by the kitchen door.

"Pardon me. Let me fix this." And she picked up the table, moving it the necessary five inches. Then she picked up the chair, with the man /in/ it still, and moved it the same distance. "There. Problem solved. Have a wonderful night."

She headed for the door then, picking up her fresh bottle of beer off the table she'd shared with Jimmy. "Are we ready? I will show you a little trick I have up my sleeve." Since if he was adventurous, they could be to their destination in seconds instead of driving.
