Hand Vs Foot
Date of Scene: 17 April 2020
Location: Abandoned Warehouse
Synopsis: A rumble between Hand Ninja and Foot Clan goes horribly wrong as a few heroes(?) rush in to apprehend them. Mayhem ensues!
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Cole Cash, Rose Wilson, Oliver Queen, Vanessa Carlysle, Shang-Chi, April O'Neil

Emma Frost has posed:
There's only room for one set of Ninjas in this town.

In an old abandoned warehouse in the Bronx, two dozen Hand Ninjas are throwing down with two dozen Foot Clan Ninjas. Why they name themselves after random body parts is unknown. What's next, the Tummy Clan? The Neck? Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes Ninjas?

With so many bodies throwing each other around, there's a fair amount of noise coming from inside this warehouse...

Cole Cash has posed:
Some people think ninjas aren't real. But really, there are people that think Kryptonians aren't real either. The New York underground knows better. What happens when one is a regular mafia boss with regular wiseguys and ninjas muscle in your territory?

They call for guns for hire. Bullseye, Deathstroke, perhaps Taskmaster.

If they don't have enough cash for those, they call in people like Grifter. Today his role is pest-control, and the pests are ninjas. The gangsters probably expect he will kill one or two and then die, but Cole has actually managed to track down a large gang of ninjas to this warehouse and now he is trying to figure out what the hell is going on inside.

Rose Wilson has posed:
No one has hired her. No one has called her and begged her to come clear out a problem for them.

Honestly, how Rose came to be here is just pure, dumb, idiotic and weirdly timed luck. Someone, something something...who cares, right?

Rose is hanging around, she got lucky, heard the noise, and now she's looking for a way into the warehouse. She's not trying to figure out what's going on, instead she wants to just be in there and take part without blatantly going through the front door to get a Foot or Hand to the face. So she's opting for seeing if there's a secondary enterance, from higher up preferably.

Oliver Queen has posed:
After the attack on the Queen Mansion by some thugs, related to investigations that Oliver had been running on drug dealers attempting to take over Starling, they have tracked one of them has having ties to one of the ninja Clans. And he knew that damn technique had sounded familiar... So with some investigation they had come across this particular warehouse. A connection? That's what they'd find out. And it was also a good time to test and train .., Quiver. They indeed needed to think on a name...

But as they make their way over there's no time to think on that, their focus on the mission, from roof to roof, approaching the abandoned warehouse. The sound is telling though. "Wonder if we are getting in late.." he tells to Vanessa.

Garbed in his normal green armored custom, the bow and arrows, he gets down on one knee to take a look across to what is going on. Always survey the battlefield first. One of his mottos.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa Carlysle looks over her outfit. It's very Green Arrow, but made with a woman's eye and a few differences so it's not an utter knock off. But it has the domino mask about her eyes, and a hood pulled up and drawn to hide her hair and keep it from being used against her. Also the quiver and bow that one might expect.

She pauses as she hears the sounds too. "Well, you do like to be fashionably late to soirees, don't you?" she asks, flashing a smile over to Green Arrow as she takes a knee next to him. Green Arrow's skills and memories tell her it's the right thing to do to limit her silhouette being spotted easily.

"Always survey the battlefield first," she says, the thought popping up into her head as so many things have been since she found herself channeling the archer's skills and memories.

Shang-Chi has posed:
What had been a pleasant visit with a friend that was briefly interrupted by an altercation with Russian Mobsters ended up being a crash-on-friend's-couch sort of night, before he decided to visit a few other friends in the city. But it had been late and he had been intending to make his way back to Gotham, but as he made his way to the station to catch the train...he sensed something. A sensation not altogether unlike someone walking over your grave. It's a very particular type of corruption of Ki that is as far as he's aware, unique to some of the Ninjas of the Hand. And that set off a covert pursuit.

Shang-Chi would not call himself a Ninja per se, but he is familiar with the arts of stealth and shadow, and these particular ninjas seemed focused on their destination. So now Shang-Chi finds himself on the rooftops as well, crouched on the edge of one of them, peering down at it. He's not particularly trying to stay out of sight, given that the Ninjas have already made their way inside and from the sound of things started their fight. So it's entirely possible that Green Arrow and his partner spot him moving from the edge of the roof of a building opposite them, and deftly parkouring his way down to street level with a combination of walls and fire-escapes.

And at that point it looks like he's...just walking up to the front door?

Emma Frost has posed:
"HUH! YAH!" The main floor of the abanondoned warehouse is a sea of bodies clad in red or purple ninja garb. In fact, save the coloring of what they wear, they all seem pretty much identical in every way. Some have nunchaku, some sais, a couple bo staves... but mostly?

Mostly they are throwing punches and kicks.

It's a sea of mooks, mooking like they do. Mooking hard. Mooking so mook, they mook into other mooks, and continue their mookery with great mookdom.

Cole Cash has posed:
Grifter is, arguable, also a ninja. If you call the Coda ninjas. They will murderize you if they hear you, but they are pretty much ninjas. Still, he would call himself a ninja only if he is lying. Which happens often.

Regardless, he is pretty stealthy. Maybe not as stealthy as Shang-Chi. Definitely stealthier than Ravager who apparently is just going to walk into a warhouse full of ninjas just for the heck of it.

At least he is getting paid. And also getting surprised, because there are ninjas of two different colors killing each other with kung-fu. That is not what he expected. In fact, he is not even sure which of the gangs he is supposedly to kill. What to do? What to do? Maybe just shoot at all of them. Except he is not sure he has enough bullets!

Deciding the smart thing is see if the number of ninjas thins out, Grifter keeps in undercover and waits.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Friend or foe?

Oliver notes Shang Chi, squinting his eyes, looking over the wiry build. The man is going through the front door so .., could be either. Benefit of the doubt and all that. His eyes then go to the abandoned warehouse. Lots of people in. Fighting. A frown.

"We most likely won't be finding much once this is done and settled. But whatever is going on means we should stop it too." he says to Vanessa, his expression thoughtful even if he can't help but break a faint smile when she vocalizes what he was thinking earlier about surveying the battlefield.

"They all seem gathered in. Tight space. Means smoke will do wonders to keep numbers low as we fight."

He then stands up, drawing out a zip-line arrow and shoots it across to the warehouse so they can go over to the other side. Choosing high-ground of course, to get through those top windows. He glances over to Vanessa. "Don't think this is one we want to get fashionably late to."

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa Carlysle nods towards Green Arrow. "Smoke and arrows with area effects. I wonder how much they will focus on us though, or how much they want each other dead instead," she comments to him. She rises up once Green Arrow has shot the zip-line arrow across, waiting for him to go and then hooking her bow over the line and using it to slide down to the warehouse to where they can peer into the windows.

The female archer leans down with a tool, fiddling with the window and getting the tool up inside of it to undo the latch. She repockets the tool in her costume and holds the window up for him. "Gentleman first," she says with a grin, waiting for Green Arrow to go before she does. Once inside though she knocks a smoke arrow, crouching up on the catwalks to survey the scene more fully.

Shang-Chi has posed:
Shang-Chi peers in the little window of the Warehouse door, seeing the situation therein. The Hand he is familiar with. The Foot? Less so, but he's at least -heard- of them. Both he knows to be...trouble. He -could- not intervene. Let them kill each other, but whoever wins, no doubt the people of New York will lose, so perhaps disabling -both- sides is the path to tread.

Two dozen ninjas? All in a day's work for the Master of Kung Fu (Which, by the by, these mooks are NOT using...tsk).

So he focuses a moment, and with a single kick smashes open the door, launching himself into the room, racing by one of the Purple-clad ninjas and swiping the back-up pair of Nunchuks he was wearing at his back, even as he drives a knife-hand into the solar-plexus of a red-clad Hand Ninja, before spinning the nunchuks into a whirl, prepared to take on all comers, it seems.

Brash? Well no, not actually, but certainly confident.

Emma Frost has posed:
Except it's four dozen ninjas. Unless Shang-Chi is being polite enough to leave some for the others coming into the warehouse now.

Four dozen ninjas, who are now startled by the presence of another in their midst. Which makes a pretty decent distraction for those archer-types above, now doesn't it?

MEANWHILE...

A thin mist permeates the air around and in the warehouse.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Four dozen ninjas, a couple of Robin Hoods, a bargain basement Deathstroke and an old martial arts master.

It's almost like a bad joke. Rose has gotten slowed down in her own entrance to the warehouse by the novelty of everything she's witnessing, and a desire to almost just...watch what happens. But there's no fun in that, so through one of the broken windows she goes, pulling her two swords after hitting the floor and then rolling to her feet. Ready for...anything, probably.

April O'Neil has posed:
As it so happens the yellow jacketed reporter had gotten tipped off about the Foot Clan having a resurgence in numbers at this very location. So she'd decided to come and check it out.

Also, as it so happens, the direction April is coming in to this industrial warehouse section has a very steep incline and it's filled with debris and hazards... because you see, she's on her black and yellow bike.

"Woah woah... woah!" April zips around obstacles, her her flowing around her shoulders from beneath the helmet on her head! She zooms past buildings until she sees the one she'd been tipped off to and

SWOOSH! She flies right past it!

Metal CLANG!

"Agh..." April collided with a dumpster and caught herself on the side of it, her bike zipped out from under her and rolls into a pile of old garbage bags and plastic covered boxes. "That hurt, thaaaat hurt." She mutters as she takes a second to walk it off, then reaches up to remove her helmet, making her dark auburn hair go a bit wild around her shoulders.

Cole Cash has posed:
Grifter only needed the popcorn to make his day. But of course, he can't have anything nice. Bruce Lee kicks the door open, and then Kid Ravager comes through a window. And Cole sighs, drawing two heavy handguns. "There we go... because people can't let ninjas kill each other in peace."

So, he shoots the closest ninja in the head. He was wearing a black pajama, so he clearly deserved it.

Oliver Queen has posed:
This is as much an investigation but also a way for Oliver to see exactly what Vanessa can do. The extent of both her powers but also the training they have begun. So far he seems to approve, watching Vanessa ride down the zip line in a similar fashion to him, then arms folded while she gets on undoing the latch. The corner of his mouth curls up then. "You are too kind, madam." at the offer to go first, slipping easily within.

Just in time to watch Shang-Chi just barge in through the front door. Friend it seems. But well, perhaps not for long considering the numbers advantage!

To Vanessa he says. "Smoke and mirrors.." he does know his ninjutsu. And in these occasions, take advantage of all distractions, use them to gain the upper-hand, strike fast and evade after. The words though are mostly to tell her what he believes will be the optimal approach to this.

The mist makes him narrow his eyes, but no time to consider it just yet. Instead it's time to let some smoke arrows fly to cramp the battlefield, to make it so many can't overwhelm the few. Which in this case seems to be both Rose, Shang-Chi amd Grifter that he detected. Yet he does frown at that headshot to one of the ninjas. Trigger-happy...

Though, was that a bike outside? "Want to check if they are getting reinforcements?" he asks Vanessa.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa Carlysle moves down the catwalk in a crouch, noting the stairs up further along. If any of the ninjas spot them, they may have visitors after a bit. The woman dressed like Green Arrow - Green Arrowette perhaps? - begins smoothly drawing arrows and letting them fly, one after another with the kind of muscle memory that it took someone years to learn. Just not her.

The arrows strike in what would be the corners of a square in the warehouse below, sending up smoke to divide the battle into individual areas since there isn't enough smoke to cover the entire floor.

Once that is done, she lets go a blunt arrow, landing it into the temple of a ninja who was just pulling swords to run through another one who had his back to him. "They don't fight fair," she says softly over her comms to Green Arrow.

At his comment she moves to a window to look out. "Not reinforcements. It's April," she says into the subvocal mike, her voice worried.

Shang-Chi has posed:
Oh! It's FOUR dozen Ninjas. That could be bruising. But a good many of them are busy fighting each other, so that should keep some of the heat off? In his peripheral awareness he can tell that others are joining the fray. Not least of which being the *BANG* sound of a Ninja getting boom, headshotted. Is that Castle? Castle would complicate things.

But those are worries for another time, as Shang-Chi swats a few shuriken out of the air with the Nunchuks, lunging into a low kick that caves a Hand Ninja's knee, the better to bash him with said Nunchuks as he stumbles. An arm comes up, allowing the bo staff that a Foot-Clan Ninja tries to swing at him to shatter on one of the metal bracers he wears, before Shang-Chi pivots and drives a kick to the Ninja's midsection.

Emma Frost has posed:
BOOM! One of the Ninjas falls with a minor head wound. Minor. Really. He'll get better.

...moving on...

So now, there's a problem. These ninjas wanna fight each other, but now they have NON-NINJA people to deal with. And Shang-Chi? Is he an honorary ninja? Well, probably not, because it looks like some of these ninjas may practice the Dane Cook of martial arts, maybe. Not fair to lump him into that. Or Grifter. Or Ollie. Or... well look, this is about to get bad, okay?

The pockets of ninjas begin swarming, or trying to swarm, the enemies that they can see. It's a mess, really, lots of arms and legs and flailing. Dane Cook. Just saying.

Until a few of the ninjas start convulsing, and falling to the ground. Screams of pain and fear rise. But their allies keep fighting on.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Grifter isn't the only one willing to shoot people in the head, only Rose doesn't draw the gun she's got. It's instead the swords in her hands that she chooses to stab people with.

Rose doesn't wait for the ninjas to swarm Dane Cook style in her direction, she runs straight towards them with the full intent on teaching at least one of them what it's like to be eyeless. Or handless. Or heart. She doesn't care.

April O'Neil has posed:
April isn't here to be a hero, she's not here to try to stop the fight. Idealy she doesn't even want any of the combatants to see her. She's just here to record the fight. She can hear it already going on inside the building too because that's the beauty of random martial arts fights when they break out... they're not very quiet.

"Gun shots?" April mutters as she starts to move to the edge of the building, she finds a fire escape and jumps up to grab the ladder, then dangles from it. "Oh come on." She mutters, her feet starting to swing until finally the rusty ladder gives way to her weight and starts to lower down.

The reporter begins scaling the ladder up until she's on the next level, from there she finds herself a window and she smudges it with her jacket sleeve to wipe it clean, then starts to hold her phone up to record whatever she can see going on inside!

"Chuck Norris... why do you have to get old? The world needs you." The quirky reporter quietly mutters, because she's an only child and they talk to themselves a lot!

Cole Cash has posed:
Lets call it a minor head wound. Okay!

Grifter knew the ninjas would be pissed if someone interrupted their battle. Which he is sure was properly honorable and stuff. Despite the backstabbing. Maybe because of the backstabbing.

Still, it is not the first time he is swarmed by ninjas. And he goes full John Preston's gun-fu mode in half a second. Jumping, shooting, kicking, shooting, and shooting some more. Maybe, possibly, they are all minor wounds, despite doing all the shooting with .50AE caliber handguns.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Gunshots, then Ravager jumping in and starting to hack people into pieces. It makes Oliver grit his teeth, even if he's been there in his younger age, killing in the name of vengeance. Can't worry too much about that though as when he hears Vanessa on the comms. "April? Make sure she doesn't come in. This is turning into a slaughterhouse."

One that he hopes to attempt to avoid, sending a few more smoke arrows in, a flash-bang right into the middle of a larger throng of enemies and a few blunts to the head, the quiver whirring as it selects the different types of arrows, arm in a blur while he shoots without thinking. Zen. Each target being hit precisely where he wants them to.

The starting convulsions make him frown. "Careful. There's more to this than meets the eye." he warns Vanessa. "Stay out of this mist." maybe he should get respirators with his suit.

Shang-Chi has posed:
Shang-Chi continues to ably defend himself from the swarm, though as he senses and in some cases sees the Ninjas randomly dropping around him //without// "minor injuries" or any strike from him. Indeed, he is intent enough upon these happenings that one Ninja actually manages to punch him. Shang still rolls with it on instinct, giving the Ninja something of a "really?" look. Before he lunges into a sequence of three strong strikes, head, midsection, chest, lunging forward as he goes, sending the Ninja sprawling. With one stave of the Nunchuk tucked under his arm, he surveys the carnage and craziness.

When another Ninja charges him, he disarms him with the Nunchuks, then grapples him, quickly shifting him into an arm-bar and directing his gaze to one of the fallen, convulsing Ninjas.

"Your friends are falling without being hit. Should this not concern you?"

Emma Frost has posed:
As fast as some get mowed down, the convulsing ninjas arise...

Several stand, giant gorillas in splitting and busted ninja outfits. And others... a couple of small T-rexes, an allosaur, two triceratops, an aklyosaur, a trio of raptors...

...holding sais, nunchuku, and bos. Because nothing is more terrifying than gorillas and dinos with ninja weapons.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The female archer fires more shots down into the crowded fight, picking her places to try to disable combatants who are about to do potentially deadly harm to someone. Unfortunately that gets her noticed, and as the ninjas respond to the arrival of the heroes, a number of them start running up the stairs towards the catwalk, while two or three even throw up ropes on grapples and begin climbing up!

Vanessa doesn't have time to watch for April, turning to fire arrow after arrow towards the ninjas rushing up the stairs. She feels three of them, but others dodge the arrows as they are still far enough to have time to see them and react. Soon they are reaching the level of the catwalk she is on, nearer to her than to Oliver. She turns to face them, another arrow quickly nocked.

Cole Cash has posed:
Suddenly there is a crowd of people punching ninjas. Or rather, arrowing and hacking them. All good in Cole's book, he will pay for a round of beers later. Plus some of the ninjas are falling without being touched. Maybe there is a speedster or telepath punching them. All good!

Then a gorilla stands up and backhands him half the length the warehouse. He lands somewhere the vicinity of Ravager or Shang-Chi. "Holy shit. That is a ninja trick I didn't know," beat. "Owww, my ribs."

Rose Wilson has posed:
Hacking and slashing on perfectly normal Ninjas is one thing. But dinos are another thing entirely.

When Rose spots the first one rising up from where they've fallen she starts to dance backwards, giving ground to any of the normal ninjas she was facing, only to have Cole crash land near her, "Did you bring a bigger gun this time?"

April O'Neil has posed:
Rub rub rub... squeaky squeaky squ---

The window falls through to the interior of the building and crashes on the ground where it shatters to pieces!

"Crud." April whispers as she ducks down beneath the window sill where it haed been. She peers up above it, blue eyes looking over the edge and holding her camera up to take continued video of whats going on inside... hortzontally held, because only heathens take vertical video.

"Arrows too? This is a big big fight..."

Shang-Chi has posed:
Shang-Chi is an experienced adventurer and even more experienced fighter. He's seen a lot of strange things. But this is definitely high on the list of the strangest. He shoves away the Foot Clan Ninja in his grasp, keeping up a defensive posture as he studies those surrounding them. There's a mini-T-Rex is torn red Hand robes that is somehow trying to spin its' own nunchuks with those stubby little arms. It's almost adorable how he keeps hitting himself in the head and not really managing to get the things actually spinning at all.

"This is no technique I am familiar with." Shang-Chi replies to Cash's statement, but hey, at least the normal Ninjas seem just as bewildered for the moment.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Two archers are always better than one. Or so they say.. And if there's one thing that Ollie is happy about right now is being taller than Vanessa. Which means he can aim arrows over her shoulder, letting them zip through past her and towards a few targets that were coming up the stairs. One, two down, but it's not like they are exactly safe just yet, more continuing to come down, including a gorilla or two. Oh noes...

As the fight is starting to shift though, and people are starting to rise up as dinos and gorillas he then walks to the edge of the catwalk he is in. He picks up a couple of arrows, these with ropes made for climbing, one sent to sink down next to where Ravager and Grifter are, the other towards Shang-Chi. Just in case they want a way up. Or not. Still, the offer is there.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa doesn't panic as arrows fly past just over top of her and start taking down ninjas. Her own feathered shafts fly towards them, hitting body armor in some cases, and sticking in legs or arms in others.

One ninja goes down, one of the Foot. Poor kid. Used to be a ninja, but then he took an arrow to the knee. His friends don't all go down though, rushing rushing forward in a group until Vanessa lowers her bow and with a snikt she extends a metal baton. The ninjas attack her as she fights with both hands, blocking with the bow and often striking with the baton. She takes down one ninja, then blocks a hit from a second. A third tries to flank her and she hits him with a hard kick. He goes flying towards the window beside April, head smashing through it and leaving him hanging half in and half out of the window.

Cole Cash has posed:
Cole gives Ravager a LOOK. "The RPG is still in the trunk of my Porche," he grumbles, rolling back to his feet. "What about you?" To add insult to the injury he has lost one of his guns. So he shoots a ninja-raptor and steps back to reload.

Yes. In the head. For a minor wound (maybe). It is a ninja-raptor, for Christ shake! Look at those teeth!

Emma Frost has posed:
SQUUUUAWCKKK! ONe of the raptor-ninjas attempts to yell, but it comes out... less intimidating that you'd think, actually.

At this point, though, the non-dino and gorilla ninjas are beginning to panick. For that matter, the dinos and gorillas are panicking too, and it's just utter chaos. Fighting the good guys is on hold a moment.

Rose Wilson has posed:
One of the swords is put up, then Rose reaches behind her to pull out a gun. It's not a big one. "I've got this." Which isn't probably going to do much to take out a t-rex. No matter how small they might be. Then she waves that gun in the direction of the pair with the arrows, "They could shoot them too. Right in the eye...hit the brain."

April O'Neil has posed:
April is getting a little more bold with her camera work since nobody seems to be paying much heed to her peering in through this window, but it's not exactly the best vantage point. So with a little frustrated noise escaping between her lips, the adventurous reporter starts to stand up and tries to shimmy her way in to the--- OH GOD!

Vanessa (who she has no idea is her BFF Vanessa) slams someone through the window just beside her, which causes the reporter to stumble backward and slam up against the metal railing of the fire escape! She looks over to the ninja who is now laying half in and half out of the building. She raises her phone up and takes a picture of him. "Not your day, is it?" She says dryly to the man just hanging there in front of her.

April pulls her legs up beneath her and walks on he rknees to the windows again, she glances to the unconscious Ninja beside her, then puts her phone in the building again. "Are those, dinosaurs? What the hell is going on here?" Says the woman who talks to four turtle-men and a giant rat-man on the regular.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Fine, they want up-close-and-personal. Green Arrow can deliver that. So he shifts his bow first to the extended staff before separating them into two batons, stepping into an escrima posture. Menacing. Tough. Grrr. Which is when the ninjas start to panick. Totally him, right? It does save him from whacking on a few heads though (minor head injuries only!) and instead he looks down at the panic going around.

Worry about that later, he looks towards April and then Vanessa. "Go on. I got your back." he says with a nod.

Shang-Chi has posed:
"I believe this war may have been pre-empted for another. Killing should not be necessary." Shang-Chi notes, frowning as he sees the enemy as bewildered as he. "If any of you seek information, I suggest the purple. The red I know will likely die before betraying their Clan." He's still in a defensive posture, but not looking to lash out, at least not yet. There's more going on here than two rival ninja clans, that's for sure.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The woman dressed similar to Green Arrow finishes with the first wave that came up the stairs. "Why are there dinosaurs in a New York warehouse?" she asks loud enough that April might hear it, plus Green Arrow hearing her easily enough over the comms. "Don't they have exterminators in this part of the city?" she quips. She glances at Green Arrow. Heroes are supposed to make quips, aren't they?

She looks back down and says, "I think they used to be ninjas. What do we do? Can we contain them in here and... call animal control? They aren't that big at least," she says, noting they seem more sized to the humans they used to be than the Jurassic park versions.

Cole Cash has posed:
Cole shakes his head to Rose, "I got the impression they are more the arrow-to-the-knee type," Cole did recognize Green Arrow, although not his partner. He glances at Shang-Chi. "Well, ninjas are not welcomed to New York. They are likely going to get shoot sooner or later."

He is not shooting anymore, though. Because the gorilla and dinosaur transformation seem to be more important than killing a few ninjas. "Or maybe transformed into apes and lizards. Because New York is funny like that."

April O'Neil has posed:
April gets a little antsy and uneasy again, so she puts her left hand on the back of the passed out ninja beside her and uses him as leverage to stand up. Once up she starts to slip through the window again, her right leg first, over and in, followed by her left that she draws in nice and easy before she spins around and is now standing up on a high-ground spot inside of the building. "Wow, what a disaster area." The reporter mutters before she hears something in that female archer's voice that draws her eyes up to her. For a moment, April narrows her eyes at the Arrowette, then she just raises her phone up to get a video shot of her. "What's going on in here?" April calls out to the Arrowette.

Emma Frost has posed:
True to Shang-Chi's words, the red-clad ninjas begin grabbing their buddies (even the dino and gorilla ones) and vacating the premises as fst as they can, should they be allowed to do so. THe purple clad, however, seem dazed and not as... focused, perhaps, as their red-clad counterparts.

Oliver Queen has posed:
"See, this is why I stay in Starling, Quiver." Ollie says to Vanessa with a look across to the scene unfolding. Because back there he can just go around telling bad guys they have failed his city and so. Not raptors and gorillas that won't listen to his fine speeches.

When April starts climbing out and take a video shot of Vanessa he speaks lowly through the voice comms. "Did you turn on your voice modulator?" but then he says, "Take out the few that remain standing, let the others go for now. Police should be here soon." and again he clicks his bow back into position, starting to do just that. Sitting ducks those purple guys! He begins to send arrows to take those down. Not to the knees but instead to the temple! Arrow-to-the-head kinda archer!

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The female archer winces and reaches up to her throat and turns on the modulator she'd forgotten about. So many memories to deal with and she's still having to consciously think of them before they start coming as second nature to her. If only she understood what was going on with all of that!

She knocks another arrow and then turns to see April there, with a phone pointed her way. "These creatures might be dangerous, safer for you on the fire escape," she says, her voice modulated by the electronic band about her throat to sound nothing like her normal voice now. She turns back then and begins firing arrows, knocking ninjas out, or disarming them so those below can subdue them more easily. One of the dinosaurs who had worn purple, she hits with a net arrow, trying to restrain it.

Cole Cash has posed:
Yes, the police will be here soon, so it is time for Grifter to do the ol' vanishing act. But first he spares a few seconds to find his missing gun. Likely April will get him on camera. But he is just a guy with a coat and a red mask.

Then he sneak-sneak-sneaks away.

Also, Cole will be taking credit to his employer about all those captured ninjas. So maybe he will get paid this time.

Shang-Chi has posed:
Shang-Chi spots April as she makes her presence known, and gives his head a slight shake. "I believe your guess is as good as ours." It's an almost casual effort, taking down several of the remaining Foot for the authorities, and even a very confused Gorilla. But while Shang-Chi would not say that tonight's events are beyond him, it's just that this is -certainly- not what he expected when he got here, and he suspects there are others far more suited towards figuring out why people are transforming in this manner.

April O'Neil has posed:
Whatever April thought she heard in the female Arrow's voice, she realizes she must've been mistaken. She then looks to the Arrow himself, but ultimately her eyes go back to the madness. She has her phone trained on Cole as he's going for his gun and her stare goes to Shang-Chi. "Great." April says back dryly. "And here I was hoping to have found the scoop on all'a this."

Another glance is given to the Arrowette, April backs up toward the window, but she doesn't yet have any desire to leave... because she's a reporter and she's sorta kinda sworn to putting herself into silly and arguably stupid positions just to get the news out.

In fact, she takes a step to the side a bit and unwittingly loses her footing and falls right down to the main level, with a sudden shouting cry of fear, she falls down to the ground floor!

Oliver Queen has posed:
Most of the fight seems to be done. Either the ninjas are subdued or they have ran off. Green Arrow gives a nod down to both Shang-Chi and Grifter, watching them thoughtfully. Yet then there is that cry of fear. He turns immediately, the quiver whirring and popping up another arrow, shooting without thinking in that zen way of his, the arrow ricocheting so as to fall vertically right next to April, a zipline attached to create a support to hold on to.

Not exactly for him though, as he is not exactly that close to the border so as to interfere more than he has so far, hoping either Arrowette or one of the gentlemen down there can run interference.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
It's almost like a mirror image.

There is that cry of fear. The female archer turns immediately, the quiver whirring and popping up another arrow, shooting without thinking in that zen way of Green Arrow's, the arrow ricocheting so as to fall vertically right next to April. A second zipline attached to create a support to hold on to.

The woman archer follows up the arrow by running and jumping, grabbing the zip line in the crook of a leg behind her knee and sliding down it. If April grabbed hold to arrest her fall, she'll find she soon has support, someone reaching down to grab her and help lower her more gently to the ground.

Shang-Chi has posed:
Thankfully, Shang-Chi is watching April, and more or less see's what's about to happen a split-second before it actually does, so he's already in motion. He bolts towards the wall and leaps, actually running along the wall a few steps as he catches the falling Reporter, and reaches out with his other hand to grab the zipline, spinning around it to bleed off some of the momentum of the move and safely bring the pair of them to the ground, where he sets April back on her feet, though there's a bit of a last-second sidestep on Shang's part to give Vanessa a clear landing point from her slide.

"I believe this is the part where we make jokes about you falling for us." Shang-Chi replies with a ghost of a smile. More amused than anything else.

April O'Neil has posed:
That was a lot happening all at once and when it's all said and done, April had used the ziplines for support and had both of them coming to her rescue. She hears the quip from Shang-Chi and she adjusts her clothing a bit once she's stable on her own two feet again.

"I uh...." She stammers out her response. "I mean, yeah." She looks between them. "Love triangles don't have a high success rate though?" She quips back with a raising of one of her dark eyebrows, then she smiles at them both. "Thanks though. I'm not used to crawling around in warehouses." That's not /entirely/ true either. She does it more than the average person out on the street.

Either way though, the Reporter's phone comes back up and she looks at them both before turning to the main bulk of the room. "God, there's so much to record here. Do you guys want mentioned by name?" She asks, turning to see them again if they're still there. "Super names, of course!" She laughs awkwardly then and there.

Oliver Queen has posed:
As things get settled down there on the main floor Oliver makes his way to his zipline and slides down, one leg curled about the line, very much a mirror to Vanessa. With the due size differences of course! He lands, a nod of his head given to both Vanessa and Shang-Chi. "Good job." that deep, mysterious voice (all the voice modulator!) is heard, "I am Green Arrow." this he says to Shang-Chi in ways of introduction and recognition.

Though his eyes then go to April briefly. Yes, he remembers her from that bank robbery out at Starling. "You have a way of getting into trouble, don't you?" is he amused? Hard to tell with that (again) DEEP voice.

And then he just sighs at the mess all over the place. Dinos, gorillas..., ninjas..

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The female archer is relieved to see April safely on the ground. She lands, looking around quickly for signs of threats before refocusing on April, Shang-Chi and Green Arrow. As the latter introduces himself, she says through the voice modulator, "And I..." she hesitates just a moment. God she needs a better name than Quiver, but she had to tell Ant-man something. "I'm with Green Arrow," she says, simply enough.

She looks over at the fallen ninjas. "Anyone know about the dinosaurs and gorillas?" she asks. Her eyes go to April, knowing she can't say everything she wants to for her having put herself in danger. "Is that what brought you out here tonight, Miss?"

Shang-Chi has posed:
"I am Shang-Chi." The Master of Kung-Fu replies to Green Arrow, and it may well be a name that is known to him. "But I would prefer to be unidentified. I have no "super name" and it is very annoying being attacked by Hand Ninjas in your sleep." He is...at least half-joking, but something in his tone speaks of experience, as well. He shakes his head to Vanessa's question, "I can safely say I have never seen anything quite like this before. Nor does it seem to match the manner of those whose schemes I usually seek to disrupt."

April O'Neil has posed:
April nods to both of the Arrows, though Oli gets a grin from her. "I have my moments." She says before looking to the unknown-Vanessa. "No. The Foot Ninjas did. I've had dealings with them before. Where the Foot is, their Master is usually not far behind. My..." She stops and glances around. "My friends and I had a run in with them last Fall. We thought their master had died, but... rumor is he was only badly hurt. So, I'm here because of that." To Shang-Chi she looks and agrees with a nod.

"This Dinosaur thing has taken me off-guard, but I've had a few reports of it coming in on my news feed. I'm..." She exhales sharply. "I'm gonna have to get home and look in to that more. Thank you, all of you, for your help with this. I don't know what this fight was about, but it's clearly getting crazier than usual around here."

With the police coming, April looks toward where she /thinks/ the main entrance is. "I'm going to stick around to talk to the Cops, I probably know a few of them who're on the way anyway..." She used to date a Cop from around here, before he moved away.
