Some Progress!
Date of Scene: 17 July 2022
Location: Basement Apartment
Synopsis: Micola and Pietro are adding to the apartment and dinner is had.
Cast of Characters: Micola Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola had been healing well and her doctor had cleared her for travel. Her mother had been by to help with some of the work that needed to be down on the apartment and to give Pietro a break when he was needing to Avenger and patrol. Tonight though Micola was working on something with the flooring since it was almost ready to be put down and the finishing touches done.

"I had a very cheesy idea." she texted to Pietro. Uh oh. What was she thinking now?!

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He'd been running some errands - looking at furniture among other things. As he received a text from her, he glanced at his phone with a smile. "Cheesy?" He wonders, texting back his question. "Like, actual cheese?" His path turned to direct him back towards the apartment.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola had gathered some supplies, but they were all in the box until she was going to show him. The reply makes her laugh a little as she settled onto the floor and typed out her own reply. "Not actual cheese no." she explains to him. "More like...sappy romantic stuff. I'm horrible, I know." she adds another line to things.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
She always brought a smile to his face, near or far. As he typed out a response, he blurred through the city towards home. "How is that horrible?" The man wonders, even as he gets closer to the apartment. He had a satchel over his shoulder some receipts tucked in for safe keeping.

No one shops as quickly as the Prince of Genosha!

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola was trying to make sure that she wasn't over typing as she waited for his reply, which wasn't far off. "I mean, I just don't want you getting all burned out on my being a hopeless romantic." she texts to him. She didn't think it was a bad thing, but she had grandiose ideas sometime.

"Should I order dinner? Can do pizza or something if you'd like something easy, but still good." she offers.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"Pizza would be perfect. I don't see how one can be burned out by romance, though." He responds, just moments away from home now. "Two people in love should show that love, and should be happy in expressing it." A slight grin. "If I were a Grinch about it, I don't think you'd love me, right?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"Ordering a pizza then. Shouldn't be too long." Micola tells him via text. There's a moment where she reads his words and there is a soft smile as she thinks of him. "I think you're right about expressing love." she tells him. "And even the Grinch finally had a change of heart." she points out with a grin. "Grinch's need love to, but you certainly aren't one. At least not to me." she points out.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"That's the key word - not to you. I am sure others feel that way about me, but... it is something I am working on." He responds, blurring by to collect a flower on the way home. Once done, he moves carefully home - not wanting to damage the delicate gift. A moment or two later, he's entering the apartment. "So, what is this idea?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a soft smile, "You've had every right to not be a fan of humans and things, Pietro. But you are working on it and that is what matters." she explains. When he arrives home there is a warm smile that lights up the womans face as she stands.

"Well..." she starts as she stretches a bit. "So...there is this thing that people...families and couples sometimes do when they're building anew and I thought it might be fun to do that with you. Basically it is names of the people and the date. Just in case someone ever buys this place and if they tear up the floor they might know those who were here before." she tells him that. "Or if we break up it might be a painful memory." she points out with a chuckle.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro glances to the floor, then to her - offering her the flower after. "We could write our names and the date?" He guesses. "Or would we want to carve it into the wood?" He grins, thinking on the options.

"Like the old tradition of carving initials into a tree, surrounded by a heart?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
The flower is taken and there is a smile given to him as she sniffs it, "Thank you." she tells him before she leans in to kiss his cheek. "Go ahead and settle in for the evening. I've got things ordered and new table and things got here." she grins. "I mean, we could carve it and we could fill it in with color after?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The kiss is happily accepted, before he finds a seat. "Color? Like epoxy or paint?" He asks, looking to her. "How are you feeling? How is the pain doing?" He asks, stretching out his feet and slipping out of his shoes.

Being here, with her, certainly seems to take the edge off of him that is normally present. "I have some orders too - some more furniture, and a large bed." He says, setting the receipts on the table next to him.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"Like paint or markers or something like that, yes." Micola nods her head to that. "I'm doing a lot better, pain is just sort of dull sometime or if I stretch too much." she tells him. "How are /you/ doing?" she asks him as she pads over to sit across from him.

"Mom dropped off some stuff that she's been holding for me. She said to go through it after the apartment was done." she grins to that.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The answer seems to please him - concerned as he was about her. "I am doing fine, so long as you are on the mend." Pietro teases. "Soon that pain will fade and you'll be right as rain." He offers. "Then we can get back to skating - maybe even in the apartment." He teases. "Epoxy would last longer, yes?"

A glance around. "What did she drop off?" He wonders.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a smile to him as she watches him, "I'm doing better, I promise. If anything was amiss I would tell you first." she tells him. "And it will, yes." she nods in agreement to that. Then there's a grin, "You're going to let me skate in the apartment?" she teases him. "Epoxy would, yes." she nods to him.

"I put the boxes downstairs in the storage room. I think it's like dishes and some house stuff that was her mothers." she admits. "Family stuff." she smiles to him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A smile at the mention of family stuff. "Those sort of things tend to make a house a home, I think. History from family, and all." A wink to her. "Perhaps on the skating inside. We'll see how well you mend up." He waggles his brows, chuckling. "Epoxy would be interesting, as you can mix micah into it and have some interesting pearlescent effects."

"How is your mother doing? Has she heard from your grandfather? She expected him to come check on you."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"Yeah, I think it's a good thing since really it's just me and my mom these days. Her parents are both dead and my dad's father tries to check in with her, but it's hard." Micola admits. "Have you done epoxy things before or just read about it?" she asks him with a smile. "I could pick some supplies up and we could make little things." she grins.

"Mom is doing okay. She was asking about things, like what our plans were and all that nosey mom stuff." she muses. "Grandfather has texted, I guess there have been some work issues and he's been in Greece." she frowns. "He said he'd check in after he was back in the US." she adds.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He reaches over to take her hand. "You have more family than that." Pietro comments. A shake of his head. "I've read and watched some videos. Never actually worked with epoxy. I've also seen some nice art pieces made with epoxy to fill voids in wood."

"Plans? About living together?" He wonders, smiling. "Is she opposed to the idea? And I am curious to meet your grandfather. I am hoping he will approve of me."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a smile to him as she squeezes his hand, "I just more meant...I know." she tells him quietly. "Yeah the wood and epoxy tables are neat. I've wanted to try but didn't have enough room. We could probably do something like that up here though." she tells him.

"No, she's not opposed to it. She was just teasing me about other things." she admits to him with a chuckle. "I don't think he'll have a problem with you, Pietro." she points out. Then she looks to her phone, "Pizza is almost here." she grins to him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He gives her a nod. "I know." A slight smile. "Like a river table, they are called?" Pietro thinks. "We could make one for the apartment?" The man suggests. "Pick colors to match the decor you want in here?"

A cant of his head as he regards her. "Other things?" He questions. "Should I be afraid of the other things?" His grin is genuine. A nod as she explains he won't have a problem, looking to the door after. "I'll get some plates then? Did you want something specific to drink?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I'll pick some colors, yes." Micola agrees to that. "I think we're both fond of blues and silvers, so that works out well." she grins to that. Then he asks if he should be afraid of other things. "She's just asking normal mom things really. She's got all sorts of ideas for the future." she muses to that.

"You grab plates and I'll get the pizza." she nods as she rises. "And I'll just take a water tonight." she smiles to him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Normal mom things, wasn't exactly on Pietro's radar as to what that could mean. "All right. She has ideas for the future?" He chuckles, getting up and moving over to get out some plates. "Or things she'd like to see, as your mom?" He wonders, setting the plates on the table. A few napkins and two bottles of water.

"Did you want parmesan cheese too?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola chuckles as she brings back the pizza and settles it into the middle of the table and opens it. It smelled delicious! "She was asking about everything that has happened and if I was sure moving in already was a good idea." she states. "Mom adores you. She's just worried, it's natural." she states. "I explained what had occured in the hospital and that made her feel better." she admits.

"No parmesan for me, but thank you." she tells him as she settles back into her chair.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro does fetch some parmesan for himself, sitting back down once it's in hand. "I hope to give her nothing to worry about, then. I don't want to upset her over how I might treat you, Micola." A smile as he looks to her, then the pizza. "Dig in. You first, you're still mending up." He winks.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gets a slice of pizza and there is a soft grin as she she settles it onto her plate. "I'm hoping that everything will heal up nicely and we won't have to worry anymore on things." she points out. "My mother is not worried over anything like that." she reassures him. "She really likes you. So please don't worry on thinking negatively." she tells him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He nods to her, getting himself a slice next. "As you say, then." A grin. "I like your mother, she seems very sweet and invested in the welfare of her daughter." A wink. "I meant to ask, is there anything we need to do to get the shop back on track? I don't want you to be without your art."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"She is a a bit of a handful, so I don't try to upset her if I can." Micola gives a chuckle to that. "Given I'm her only kid that's a big investment." she agrees. The question of anything they can do makes her smile, "I just...need to get out of my head and get back down there. I have a backlog so it's going to have to happen sooner rather than later." she admits.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A shake of his head. "I don't think she's a handful. I've only met her a handful of times, though." A grin to her. "And yes, an only child is a huge investment. Any child, truly." He murmurs. Pietro nods as she explains the backlog. "Don't rush it, love. I don't want you having a bad day, or ruining your work because of it."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola finishes off her first slice of pizza and there is a smile to him, "It's alright, really." she tells him. "I definitely don't want to rush it. Tattooing is sadly something that can go very wrong if the artist isn't focused. So I won't go back until I'm ready." she promises. "Do you want to go visit the owls this weekend?" she asks him with a bright smile.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro gives a smile at that. "Yes, please. I'd like to get the little one accustomed to us?" He chuckles. "And we can plan out the aviary for them..." He suggests. "Will you be all right in the Land Rover, with the bumps?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I think she'll fit right in with us, really." Micola chuckles to that. "Medea is probably still all fluffball at this point." she grins. "Clotho is going to wonder why the puffball grew up to be bigger than her when we get there though." she seems amused by this. "And yeah, I'll be fine in the car. It'll be nice to get out and drive." she admits.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"An adorable puffball. With sharp talons." A smirk from Pietro. "I can drive us, if it'd be better for you." He suggests. "And regardless of size, I think Clotho will rule the roost, so to speak."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"We'll need to get you a falconer's glove, so she won't accidentally tear any skin open if she slips or slides. She's still learning her grip. And Clotho made me regret baby talons a lot when I was raising her." Micola tells him. "She is a tiny tyrant. She'll rule with an iron fist." she giggles to that. "Do you want to take a walk after dinner? It's been nice to get out for fresh air at night." she offers to him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Having munched on his pizza during the covnersation, Pietro nods. "Yes, a glove. And definitely a walk. It's nice out." He smiles. "Let's get you some fresh air and look up at the night sky, shall we?" He beams to her. "Want seconds or are you up for the walk now?

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola settles her plate to the side and takes a drink of her water as she listens to him. There is a nod after that, "I think I'm pretty full. Trying not to over eat. I tend to do it when I get all wrapped up in stuff." she chuckles to that. Then she gives him a smile as she rises, wiping her hands clean on one of the napkins, "I think I'm ready if you are." she tells him.
