Cast of Characters: Rhona Lauren, Jubilation Lee

Rhona Lauren has posed:
It's around 9:30pm on a Sunday. At the walking paths that circle around Breakstone Lake.

Rhona has been with Xaviers for about a month and a half now, and settled in to her routine... mostly. She's gotten a job in Salem Center at the movie theater, and helps out with the Horses in the Stables. The young British teen is just mostly keeping to herself though. But, being that she's a big fan of the animals at Xaviers, she's ended up offering to walk Jeepers now and then.

Thus here they are, in a wine colored tshirt with a black revolver pistol printed on the chest, a pair of dark blue jeans with the knees all torn out, and some black and red sneakers, Rhona is just strolling past the lit up pathway beside the lake.

Out ahead of her Jeepers is on the end of his leash, panting as he happily walks with his tail sweeping back and forth. It might be fairly easy to assume it's Rogue and Jeepers, but ... not too hard to tell it's NOT the Belle if you get close enough to really peak at the younger girl with darker brown hair than Rogue's own.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
...Of course, the keen senses of a natural predator can tell the difference. The beating of one person's heart, the thumping of life behind their breastbone, is as unique as a fingerprint and can be easily heard by those who are forced to. Smells are even more obvious. Sounds are a dead giveaway. But, all of that assumes the predator is paying attention and doesn't have bigger things on her mind. A wedding. A whole vampire "nation" to run. A Fleeb running for office. On nights like these, it's important to get away from it all and just...

    "Oh, come /on/..."

The voice belongs to a shadowy figure just ahead of Rhona and Jeepers, barely illuminated by the reflections from the lake. Strangely, the shadows play off her figure as though they're commanded to be there, bending and stretching awkwardly to keep her as hidden as possible. Or... is that just the imagination playing tricks? The complaint comes with the youthful vocal fry of Beverly Hills... The perfect instrument for sounding properly annoyed by the intrusion.

The smell of Jeepers, the rapid beating of a dog's heart... It's all just so unmistakable. "Rogue, can't I just get two minutes to---" The shadow twists and morphs as the girl turns to give the Belle a proper glare. "You're not Rogue..." Jubilation Lee announces for all to hear.

She's dressed like she wasn't expecting company. Too much of her porcelain skin is on display thanks to black spandex shorts that barely clear the curves of her cheeks. An oversized, white dress shirt with too few buttons fastened blows gently in the breeze. Jubilee's arms cross in front to allow herself just a little more privacy in front of the girl who stole Rogue's dog. Jubilation's eyes lower to watch the dog...

Rhona Lauren has posed:
Rhona's eyes are out over the calm lake as the pair walk. She'd never been allowed to have a dog before. Her parents back in London thought that it would tear up their house and ruin it for any parties. She did have horses, but they were of course contained to a different building on her posh home's property. A refuge for her to hang out... but in the now, Rhona is just happy to get to walk the happy doggie.

She's watching a little frog hopping on the shoreline, when Jeepers starts to growl, and stops walking. It makes Rhona's heart beat a little faster in her chest, as she hears the voice just suddenly speak up too! First her brown eyes go to Jeepers, then they shoot up to the source of the voice.

Rhona just stares at the pale skinned Asian girl in the odd attire. She's got her hair tied up in a bun on the back of her head, but its loose with strands all around her face, and a black choker collar is around her neck. "I uh..." She starts to say while Jeepers dances on his feet.

He barks. Once. Twice, and then does a quick turn before growling in Jubes' direction again.

"I"m not Rogue, no. She let me walk Jeepers..." The British teen responds. "Who are you?" She asks, tilting her head to the side softly.

She'd heard of Jubilee, or more specifically... that there were 'vampires' around here. Is this one of them? She looks nervous enough to be assuming such a thing!

Jubilation Lee has posed:
By now, the shadows have allowed Rhona a clear view of Jubilee's face, in all its glory. Pale, blemish-free, vaguely illuminated like Morticia Addams. Dead... and yet more alive than most. Dreadfully sexy... and yet strange and off-putting. Like Morticia Addams.

Jubilation's eyes are fixated on Jeepers, not looking away, not moving. One animal facing off against another. They both likely know how this will go. Jubes makes a mental note to remind Rogue that not snapping Jeepers in half counts as her birthday /and/ Christmas present.

"Shut up, Jeepers," Jubilation eventually says, even giving the dog a half-hearted roll of her eyes. Jubes reaches up into the front pocket of the dress shirt and pulls out her dark Ray Ban sunglasses. "Jubilation," she introduces just before slipping the sunglasses over her eyes. No sense risking an accidental glamour. "Jubilee," she adds.

"Who are you?" Jubes repeats, folding her arms in front of her chest again. Her tone is neutral, neither friendly or hostile. Her enemies are growing by the night and this might be a new one. Maybe not. Jeepers definitely is, though.

Rhona Lauren has posed:
When Jubilee tells the dog to shutup, he tucks his tail under himself and sweeps around Rhona's legs to hide behind them like he normally does to Rogue. He peaks out the other side, staring at the Vampire while Rhona seems to be searching Jubilee's face, up until those sunglasses seemed to stop any such glamor before it took hold. This causes the young woman to just shake her head a second later. "I'm... uh... New. Here. Rhona. Lauren." She raises up her non-leash-holding-hand to offer a light wave, a couple wrings on the middle two fingers that look expensive and nice. She has a bit of a richy goth gal type thing going on with her, not full blown in either direction though.

"I think I've heard of you." She says further then, with a glance down to Jeepers, and then bouncing it back up to Jubilee.

"You're... the uh... Vampire?" She inquires while just standing there on the walking path. Her eyes dart around in the darkness, before going back though. "What were you doing? Just enjoying the night, or something?" She asks next.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubes recognizes Rhona nearing that point of no return. She has seen it many times. That look that people give her. The confused, longing sort of expression people have as they search her vampire eyes for the solution to every problem they've ever had. In life, sunglasses were a stylistic choice. Now, they prevent mishaps. Usually, a vampire is lucky enough to have a sire who teaches them. Jubilation Lee, the vampire who wears sunglasses at night and wasn't shown how to turn into a bat, was not lucky.

Jubes perks up a little when Rhona admits to hearing of her. There's a brief explosion of memory as Jubilee remembers the girl she was. The mall. The skating. The mischief. The Crocodile Mile! She's a legend! "Oh, sure, I mean, like, that's not hard to believe..." Jubes smiles a little, standing up just a bit taller as she basks in her own legacy. Jubilation 'Jubilee' Lee...

    ...the vampire.

The word has become something of a weapon these last few weeks. Jubes has been dealing with a rise in wannabe Van Helsings thanks to Tracy Fleeb running for office as the 'anti-vampire' candidate. That brief moment of remembering how cool she was ends as quickly as it arrived as soon as she hears the V-word from Rhona's mouth. "...What gave it away?" she asks, her expression falling flat. A slightly sarcastic tone transforms her response into a perfectly sensible teenage answer that neither confirms nor denies her status as a creature of the night.

"I just needed to get away..." Jubes reaches her hand out into the darkness and makes a vague gesture in the direction of the school grounds. "...from all of that." It's a brief moment of Jubilee feeling sorry for herself, privately and yet most certainly obvious to anyone with half a brain. But, it passes almost as quickly as it arrives. "What are /you/ doing out here?" Jubes asks, summoning the will to curl her mouth into a smile. "And, trust me, if you're out here to throw Rogue's dumb dog into the lake, I'm not going to stop you, so don't bother coming up with a lie." The curl of her mouth becomes an actual smirk and then a smile, revealing that four of her teeth -- two on top and two on bottom -- are indeed the fangs of a vampire.

Rhona Lauren has posed:
The way in which Jubilee moves, conducts herself, it has Rhona definitely knowing for sure that this is the Vampire on campus that she's been told about. Sure she's heard of Jubilee some too, even the Crocodile Mile has been mentioned a few times in passing by some of the younger students, but... now she's got a face for both, and its pale, with fangs even!

The question about Jeepers has Rhona exhaling a soft laugh before she looks down to the dog who is licking himself while in a slanted seated position. She laughs a little more. "No. I was told not to let him get in the lake this late..." She responds as she raises her left forearm up to look at the smart watch on her wrist. She sees what time it is, and drops her wrist back down to her side. "I'm just walking him for Rogue. Really just gives me a chance to see ... uh, whats his face, the Cajun guy. He's hot." She says with another quick smile. Her eyes look around at the yard too once more. "I like it out here too. Reminds me of home. As lame as that is."

She smirks at herself, as her eyes shoot back over to Jubilee. "Sorry to interrupt your... uh... moonbath, or whatever you're up to. I won't hold you up, told the Cajun I'd have Jeepers back before ten anyway..." She says as she jingles the leash and angles herself toward the branching pathway toward the backyard of the school, with Jeepers staying at her side, the opposite side from which Jubilee resides upon too, of course!

"And yeah, I'm Rhona. Nice to finally meet you." She adds with another quick light smile.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Ol' What's His Face. "Remy," Jubilee answers with a a grin. A bright razor sharp grin. "Yeah, he's nice to look at. No clue what he's saying half the time." Her chest shudders as she tries to seem like she's laughing without sound. That's hard to do convincingly without air in the lungs. A for effort.

"Reminds you of home..." Jubes repeats quietly, not really intending to be heard or caring if she is. Huh. "Yeah, well, it's July, London Bridges, and you're here. That makes you a Summer Kid. And that makes this home, so... yeah," Jubilee points out, eyebrows hiked up a little over the top of her sunglasses. She wraps up her argument with 'yeah' like only a teenager could do. A forever teenager. One shoulder shrugs a little. Jubes keeps her motions conservative, as the white dress shirt is doing the best it can.

"Hey, uh, don't tell anyone you saw me out here," Jubes adds gently. "Please." After a beat, she manages to draw out some of that famous Jubilation Lee charm. "...'cause, like, I don't need to be spending my whole night signing autographs..." An obvious ruse but it releases the three of them from this weird moment. It gets Jubilee back to her evening away from the chaos. It gets Rhona back in time to sneak a peek at Remy. And it gets Jeepers back to--- wait. Fuck you, Jeepers.

Jubilee turns and sticks her tongue out at Rogue's stupid dog.
