Cast of Characters: Pietro Maximoff, Micola Maximoff

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There'd been an excuse to get her out briefly, just a few moments - he'd suggested she go down to the shop to pickup the Italian dinner that was being delivered. He didn't need long, after all - the benefits of being a speedster. As she headed down to collect up the delivery, he was fast at work. Candles were set out on the table, along with rose petals. Flowers were brought out, having been hidden elsewhere for a short bit of time - still fresh. Plates and silverware were set out as well. Finally, the lights were dimmed slightly - to make for a more intimate and romantic feel.

He was ready.

Ready as he expected he could ever be.

He waited, what felt like an eternity, for her to return to the apartment.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola wasn't even suspicious about being sent out. She just figured that she looked like she needed it and she'd been happy to take the walk down to pick up dinner and things. She was dressed in one of those little summery dresses that was a dove grey color and her hair was a bit mussed from the breeze that was going on outside.

The flats that she wore made little tappy sounds on the stairs as she had returned. "Pietro, I'm back!" she'd called out.

That's when she noticed the dim lights and the scent of rose petals. She looks around then to find the white haired man, "Pietro?"

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He'd actually dressed up a bit - linen button-down shirt, slacks, nice dress shoes. Pietro smiled over to her, standing near the set table. "I thought we could make this more... a special date night?" He suggests to her, moving over to help with the food. "I can dish up the plates, if you like? Are you feeling up to a glass of wine?"

He was quick to collect up the food, leaving her unburdened to find her way to the table and take a seat. "Are you hungry?" There's a bit of a nervous edge to him tonight - something is going on.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola was surprised to see him dressed up. She enjoyed it though and wasn't taking it for granted! "Special date night? I think we can do that." she tells him with a warm smile. "If you want to dish up plates, sure." she tells him. "Is there anything that I can help with for dinner?" she asks him.

Her golden gaze is curious as she settles into her seat, "I am definitely up for a glass of wine and I am hungry." she grins. She realizes that there is a nervous edge though and she reaches out to touch his arm gently, "Is everything alright my love?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The chair for her is pulled out, to make for ease of sitting. "Well, you can turn on music if you like? Something soft?" Pietro suggests. "Other than that, I will handle the dishing up... you can relax and enjoy." He grins, doing exactly that. A healthy serving for each of them - chicken al Forno with vodka sauce! A nice mixed greens salad, and some garlic bread round out the rest of the meal.

As she asks if he is fine, he pauses - thinking. "Yes. Just... excited and nervous." He says, honestly. A hand rests on hers, stroking gently. "Nothing to be concerned over, though. I promise." A bottle of wine is brought over - having been properly chilled.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola settles into her chair and there is a soft nod given to him as she hears his request. Her phone is taken up long enough to find some soft and romantic music to put on the speakers to set the tone. "You're still spoiling me." she tells him as she slips her phone away again. She didn't have it at the dinner table so she wouldn't be distracted by it.

"Excited and nervous sounds like a good thing." she grins at that. She looks to the hand that covers hers for the moment and she then offers a soft smile to him. Letting him bring the wine over.

"We've got a few deliveries and contractors coming this week, so should be fun. But if anything gets stressful we can figure it out." she tells him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"I do not believe it is spoiling, Micola. I believe it is something you deserve." Pietro chuckles, nodding as the wine is poured. The bottle is placed in a chilled bucket for now - in case seconds are needed. "Deliveries and contractors, yes. To make the upstairs more of a home." There's a happy grin at that, the thought clearly pleasing to Pietro.

The man takes his seat, his face a mask of thought and contemplation for a moment. "I've mentioned that my perception of things... is accelerated as well, correct? That each moment is elongated and stretched to me. Seconds, minutes, all exponentially lengthened from my point of view. It allows me to react, to make decisions at the speeds I move. It does skew my perception on the world, admittedly - but I think I have an ample understanding of the differences in my view and the view most people have." Is he rambling?

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola blushes a little when he tells her that. He'd told her that before, but it still seemed a bit unreal sometimes. "Thank you." she tells him as he pours her a glass a wine. Then she gives a soft nod, "I'm excited to have everything getting done. We could throw a little house warming when it's all done if you like?" she asks him.

She takes a little sip of her wine as he seats himself and she watches him as she settles the glass down. "You have mentioned that before, yes." she whispers to him. "I don't think it skews it in a bad way, Pietro." she tells him. "You just do things at your own place. And I've come to understand this." she admits to that.

"What view are we talking about?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Her blush brings a smile to his face, despite the tension apparent on his frame. Her following questions are direct, likely expected, but still they give him pause. Was she on the same page as he was? Was she feeling as he was? They had professed love for one another - a huge step. But there were still more points along the journey... and as always, his pace was fairly reckless compared to others.

"The view I am speaking of, is the view I have of us in the future. The progression of who we are together." He says quietly. "I do not wish to startle you, or drive you away in fear."

A deep breath.

For all his education, for his well-spoken nature - this felt like he was fighting uphill against his fears. "I was wondering, if you would do me the honor of allowing me to be your husband?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola has always been attentive, she listened to him and she made quiet notes on things. She was a little worried about the tension in his frame. Especially when he was talking of their future together. Who bought dinner and did this to break up with someone? Not Pietro really.

"I don't think I've ever been afraid of you, Pietro and I don't plan on starting today." she tells him with one of her bright smiles.

Then his question is asked and she feels light headed for a moment. You can imagine these things, but the effect they have outside of your mind is a more potent one. "Pietro Maximoff I would be honored to be your wife." she tells him. Then she chuckles, "Yes, I want to marry you." she adds with a smile as she reaches for him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The wave of relief is visible as it rolls over Pietro. His hand moves to take hers, a wide smile on his face. If he was holding his breath previously, he's not now. He leans over, kissing her cheek.

Sliding out of his chair, he kneels on one knee next to her seat. A ring box is presented - having quickly retrieved it from his pocket. He opens it carefully, not wanting to launch the ring out of the container. Inside is a delicate, dark silvery ring - platinum. A simple diamond is set, slightly off-center to allow for a similarly cut emerald to sit next to it.

"It should fit... I took the liberty of checking your other ring sizes." A slight grin.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola is all smiles and there are tears that cloud her eyes for a moment, but none of the tears are because of pain or being upset. She was just happy...and shocked. She reaches out to squeeze his hand when he kisses her cheek.

It's when he kneels that things become rather real. She looks to the ring with her golden eyes and there is a moment her hands come up to clasp together, "It is beautiful, Pietro." she whispers to him. She then lets her hands unclasp and she offers the hand to him.

"You want to put it on? And very sneaky of you." she teases him softly.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The tears have him concerned, for just a nanosecond. Then he's smiling with her, nodding as she clasps her hands. "I had to be sneaky - else it would not have been a surprise, right?" Pietro explain, still kneeling near her. "I am glad you like it."

Her hand is taken, delicately held. Then the ring, with the box set on the table. The ring is slid onto her ring finger, fitting just right. "It looks better on you, Micola. It suits you." He whispers.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola's hands are shaking, probably adrenaline. She was ecstatic though. She gives a smile to him, "Lorna asked me when I was going to make an honest man out of you when she came to visit in the hospital." she tells him softly. "I told her I didn't have a ring on me." she adds. "I love it." she tells him.

She looks down to her hand when he puts the ring on her finger and there's a quiet moment, "Are you the diamond and I'm the emerald?" she asks him. Then she leans closer to him and kisses him gently, "I love you." she whispers.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The Prince rolls his eyes, amused at his sister's comments. Then again, she wasn't wrong... just a brat for suggesting such things! "Did she now? I should give her a scolding for suggesting such things out of turn." Pietro laughs, amused. His hands clasp hers, though not restricting her ability to move and look over the new ring.

"I hadn't thought of it that way, but it could be seen as such. The diamond is the sparkle in your eyes and your smile, the emerald represents your vibrant colors." The man explains. "I love you, Micola." He purrs after the kiss. "I suspect our families will want to know."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a soft laugh as he rolls his eyes, "I think she knew was all, Pietro." she tells him softly. "So no scolding. I think she'll be thrilled to hear the news." she tells him with a soft smile. "So a Winter wedding?" she asks him with a soft smile. "Or late fall early Winter?" she offers.

She blushes again as he explains the stones and she smiles to him softly, "It is perfect." she states. "Oh yes, there will be a lot of happy people." she grins to that.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"I am sure she had thoughts of what might be occuring between us." Pietro agrees. "But as an older brother, I am duty-bound to tease her a bit." A slight pout, amused as he is. "Winter sounds lovely - did you have a place in mind? Somewhere your family might enjoy a visit to?" He suggests.

There's a pause.

"Why were you asking after my favorite season?" A slight grin. "Or about flowers?" Sneaky Micola.

"Well, I will let you tell your family, and I shall tell mine?" He offers.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"Oh hey, I kind of get siblings out of this!" Micola gives a bright smile. Hey, having sister-in-laws counted! "Alright, I can't get between you and your duty. Just don't be too hard on her." she whispers to him with a soft grin. "I think that they would be wanting to see where we want to have it really." she admits. "Do you have any favorite places? Do we want to go somewhere else to have a wedding?" she asks him.

Then she gives him an innocent look, "Oh...you know...future plans." she tells him with a soft smile. "I'm not one of those women who think that a wedding day is all for me. There are two people involved." she tells him.

"I will call my mom and my grandfather and tell them. I'm sure they will be thrilled." she admits.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A nod. "You do. And a coat of arms. And... likely Genoshan citizenship." A smile to her, still kneeling by her side. "I will go easy on her, of course. And I will have to tell Wanda, of course." No mention of telling his father, though!

"Depending on what might work best, we could potentially have the wedding at the Palace." The man thinks. "I do not care too much where it is, so long as I am with you." Pietro smiles. "And I want the wedding to be all for us. I want it to be every dream you've had, well - the good ones."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a look to him and there is a sudden realization, oh she was marrying a Prince. "I'll gladly take those things, I just want to be your wife at the end of the day." she tells him. There is a grin as she stands up, offering her hands to him, "No need to kneel anymore." she tells him. "Do you think Wanda will be upset? I wish I could have met her prior to this." she admits.

"We could always do a royal wedding and then a not so royal wedding?" she offers. "I don't know where to begin on wedding planning and my mom never married so...I'm a novive." she chuckles. "If you see an influx of wedding magazines don't be worried." she teases him.

"Are you happy?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He stands with her, hands still in hers. "Wanda will not be upset, other than I am sure she would have met you sooner." A smile from Pietro. "My family will be happy, knowing that you make me happy." He assures, sneaking in a kiss to her cheek.

"That might be something to consider? I will need to speak to Lorna and her advisors as to how to proceed. They will have good ideas, I am certain." A nudge to her. "We can hire a planner, or rather, we'll have one assigned." He decides. "Regardless, it is our wedding - we will accept advice but our choices are ours to make."

There's a blink. "I am very happy, Micola. You make me very happy."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola pulls him closer, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as she listens to him. "I'd be happy to meet Wanda whenever she is ready. I know that there's a lot going on most days." she admits. "If I get any happier my heart is going to pop." she laughs to that.

"I'm just rambling out ideas. I don't know how royal things go. I...wasn't sure, but maybe we can ask Lorna just to make sure we don't do something silly." she chuckles. "Have one assigned?" she looks at him curiously. "Oh...you mean Lorna will assign one." she laughs. "And yes, I'm excited to talk on plans." she smiles to him.

"I asked if you were happy as it is something that I want to make sure of. Not just that I make you happy, my love." she tells him gently. "I didn't ask to worry you." she adds.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro nods, smiling as he holds her. "I am happy, yes." He reassures her. "Our dinner is going to get cold." He mentions, with a wink. "Sit, sit. Let's eat and discuss what we want for our day?" The man suggests, again moving to help with her chair.

"Lorna or the staff will, I am sure." He smiles. "I imagine our guest list will be varied." A shake of his head, sitting once she does. "And no letting your heart pop. That's a rule, all right?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I completely forgot there was food." Micola tells him with a smile as she looks back to the table. She settles back down into the chair that he helps with and she smiles up to him. She was indeed ridiculously happy. "I think there are a lot of ideas that are coming through all at once on my end." she admits. "Maybe we should make a list or get a planning book? I'm surprised my mom hasn't snuck one of those into things." she muses.

"Oh yeah, the guest list." she looks at bit curious now. "Are you going to ask you father?" she asks him quietly. "And I'd be fine with Lorna or staff helping out with suggestions." she tells him. "I promise my heart will stay in one piece." she grins to that.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A grin. "I think we both should dig in - we've had a lot of emotions rolling through us." The man smiles. "And yes, a planning book would be good. We can collect our ideas and see what the planners can come up with." Pietro chuckles. "And she may have hidden one, we'll have to look around." A wink.

There's a pause. "I will ask him, yes. I do not know if he will arrive. He is... not someone most want to have around." He shrugs, looking on for a moment with a slight frown. Shaking it off, he smiles. "Good. No breaking hearts."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola is happy to dig into the food, especially the pasta. Wait, she'd have to stop loving carbs so much so she could fit into a wedding dress. "Can I borrow your metabolism until we get married?" she asks him teasingly. One of them would have no trouble keeping fighting fit. "She might have put one in the boxes she brought by. I never thought of that." she muses.

She gives a soft look to him, "I didn't want to upset you with that question. If he is not someone that you would invite then we won't." she states. "I'd never want to break your heart, Pietro." she tells him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro is all too happy to enjoy the meal. And it is true, his metabolism will keep him in proper form for the tuxedo. Or perhaps, formal Genoshan Royal garb? "You will look radiant - I am sure your body is needing the calories right now, to help mend your injury." A grin. A the mention of the boxes, he glances around. "Maybe. Do you think she knew?"

"You didn't. He did. He is... a complicated man." A sigh. "We will see where he turns out when invited. And we will see if others take umbrage at his attendance." A smile, the man leaning in to kiss her neck. "I know. And I will do all in my power to not break yours."
