Barbara Gordon has posed:
Barbara was prone to using the smaller scale Batmobile that she had on-hand during the colder months, but in the summer, she was keen on the Batcycle she also had in storage here within the garage deep inside the Clocktower.

Right now, Babs was arriving back from patrol on said Cycle. Its engines roar and rumble through the garage tunnel as the redheaded rider returns from the 'mean streets' of Gotham City.

Her black and gold cape flutter in the wind behind her, as the Cycle makes a turn arounda cement pylon, then pulls in to its parking spot in a circular work area, beside where the Batmobile resides in a similar space for maintenance and care.

The engine revs two more times before Babs kills the engine, and sits up on the bike, looking down at its display screens as she relaxes after returning home...

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Huntress had been out on a case of her own. It even came with a happy ending. Not for Lyle Cordatto. His story was decidedly sad and soon to become more so now that he has been arested by GCPD. It wasn't his story that led her to come by the Clocktower. But if it hadn't been for dear old Lyle, Huntress would likely have never had reason to make this particular stop over.

Steering her own bike into the garage, Huntress let it roll easily into the main space before shutting the bike off. She looks over, "Batgirl. I was hoping to catch you in the office." Her tone is relaxed. It doesn't seem like an emergency or an ominous sort of topic is incoming.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
As Huntress is arriving, Babs is actually in the process of removing her cowl. She pushes it up off of her head, then uses her right gloved hand to rustle up her fiery tresses so they are not so plastered down to her head, and instead a bit wild around her shoulders, especially after the bike ride.

She looks over to Huntress, and smiles at her, as she stands up and dismounts her bike. Her cape flows around her legs still, as she walks toward the few steps that lead down from the Cycle's platform. "Hey, Helena. Good to see you, whats up?" Babs asks, as she steps over to a table with computer monitors on it, and sets her Bat-cowl down upon its surface where it connects automatically with one of the terminals to sync up recorded footage transfers.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Huntress wasn't one to use proper names when masked, but as soon as the redhead's cowl was off, she smiles and nods. Reaching up she removes her own mask, setting it on her bike she turned, combing out her own dark mane.

"Nothing huge. Tracked down Lyle Cordatto, finally. One less mob drug dealer on the streets. And one less heartless bastard out there cutting his product with rat poison." Her voice is a bit grim but pleased. "But the reason I wanted to talk to you was because of the young woman Lyle tried to use as a human shield when I finally caught up to him in Robinson Park." She glance to Barbara, "She had one of your batarangs? Mika Yang is her name?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Babs spends a moment looking at the computer monitors that are already inspecting the Cycle on its platform. She's listening to Helena though, and when the woman reveals that information, Babs turns to look back at her again. "Wow, well done." She notes. "Did the GCPD handle him well?" She asks of the mobster.

"Mika... yeah, the EMT?" She asks. "I was impressed with her ability to handle herself. She was using a pretty gnarly weapon though, but I guess whatever helps you protect yourself. How was she?" Babs then asks as she reaches up to remove her cape from her shoulders, Swinging it around, she drapes it over the back of the chair beside the computer screens.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli walks over to Barbara. SHe shrugs, "Well. They got what was left of him. They have enough evidence he shouldn't be on the streets for a long time. Whenever he does get out, he's going to have a permanent limp." She almost sounds guilty about that.

"Mika was.. I'm not sure why she was there. Going for a walk or something. But Lyle grabbed her. She had a weighted chain for self defense. He was focused on me and she made him pay for it. Broke his nose. Cracked his balls." She smirks. "I think I like her. She had your batarang. Said it had something encrypted on it? Don't know anything about that. But yeah. EMT. She had ice water in her veins while Lyle held a gun to her head. Very calm and purposeful." She leans against one of the support columns.

"Were you considering her for the Birds?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Barbara had offered a smirk at the ball-damage information, but let that lie. Instead she focused on the Mika subject, as she pulls her gloves off of her hands, and sets the heavy gauntlets down on to the desk as well, flexing her bare hands once they're free.

"I've been thinking about it." She admits to the other. "An EMT would be kinda nice to have around, you know? We could use some more medical help some times... But, I need to learn more about her backstory. That knife is pretty 'cool' and all, but we don't want to bring her on if she's... you know... a serial killer."

Barbara smirks then, still in the rest of her armored suit, sans the cape, cowl and gloves now. She sits down on the edge of the chair then, and keeps her back straight. "I didn't get that kinda vibe from her, though, and if you didn't... Well, I'm keen on your sense toward people. Lord knows you've been around enough bad ones to spot them early."

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli nods as Barbara shares her thoughts. She walks over and sits on the edge of the desk. "I was thinking that once she said she was an EMT, yeah. God knows we get banged up enough. These werewolves still around and all. We could really use someone with skill and discretion. Who isn't a serial killer or sociopath, yeah" she says with a laugh.

"No. I didn't get that vibe from her. She was calm but it wasn't that she took pleasure in hurting ol' Lyle. But he did deserve it." She then snorts. "So because I grew up in the Mafia, you trust my opinion?" She smirks at Barbara, joking. "I think if you work your magic on her history. Get a psyche profile on her the way you have worked up on each of us?"

She meets Barbara's gaze and smiles, "Yeah. I'd trust her enough to bring her in as a prospect. See how well she does. I'd be willing to trust her enough to watch my back after some orientation and sparring." There's a pause. Something almost unsaid.

"... to watch yours?" She hesitates. "She'll have a ways to go before I'd sign off on that." Her dark eyes flicker away and she falls silent.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Barbara looks back to the computer screens to her right as she listens to Helena, being a techie addict, she can't keep her eyes off of screens very long, without some serious effort. But, she does manage to look back toward the other after she finishes speaking, and offers a smile to the perched Bird across from her.

"High praise." She softly tells the other. "I'll start in on that then. Compiling what I can get. Hopefully find out a bit about how she learned how to use that chain whip... thing. Not like that's a standard skill taught down at the local martial arts dojo at the mall..."

Barbara leans back in her chair then, and exhales softly.

"Actually, I met someone who has quite a lot of information about these Werewolves... A rather mysterious type, as if that's surprising anymore." She smirks at Helena. "An Elektra Natchios. Have you heard of her before?" She asks then.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli shrugs, "I've learned from the best. Not everyone can be written off because of their past. Or their lack of bedside manner." She had personal experience there after all. "Once you sign off her psyche profile assuming there are no red flags? I'll volunteer to be the one she meets and does initial training and live patrols with unless you have someone else you want to handle it."

Since when has Helena taken it on herself to try and take a more active role in the team? Apparently since recently!

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Babs tilts her head at this offer from Helena. A mischievous smile appears upon her lips. "Is Helena looking for a leadership position?" She teases light heartedly. A second later though, and the redhead is just nodding her head a few small times. "That would be perfect, actually. My focus is going to be working with this Elektra on getting some more detailed information figured out about these Wolves. She's worked with Batman before, so she has some level of vetting. Plus, I dunno, I get a good feeling from her. Maybe I'm the one who isn't very good at judging people though. I guess time will tell."

Barbara reaches over to her desk then, as some readouts come up with information on the Batcycle. She uses the mouse to click the various buttons, and then some robotic arms extend up out of the platform around the Cycle to start on the necessary changes to be made to the bike's condition.

"I'll send you what I compile on Mika, and she'll be your case to bring in, if you're up for it?" Babs asks as she looks back to the other.

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli looks over, "I don't know that name, Elektra. Doesn't sound like anyone I know of in Gotham. If you trust her, we'll work with her. You're the boss." She smiles, but then it turns to a smirk.

"Barbara you, of all people, know better than to trust me with a leadership position" she says with a sound of disbelief. Whether she's right about herself is beside the point. It's just her view. "Besides leadership's pretty much solid" she observes as she glances to Barbara.

A nod. "If your background check clears Mika, I'll make contact. I'll find an off-site location to train wtih her till you green light bringing her to the Tower."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
As Helena speaks, Babs rises up to her booted feet again. She starts to gather up the pieces of her uniform she'd taken off, cape being draped over her left forearm. She smiles warmly at what Helena says before shaking her head. "I like to throw people in to such positions, and see how well they handle it." She notes, with a side look toward Helena. "I'm confident you won't drown." She chides the other woman.

With her cowl picked up last, she holds them against her armored midsection. "And yes, that sounds perfect. If that part of it goes all well, she'll be welcomed here any time she'd like to be. We got a lot of free space in this cement block, if you hadn't noticed."

Babs reaches her right hand out then to give Helena's shoulder a squeeze. "Thanks, too. For continuing to be great." The other woman's bicep is given a firm squeeze before Babs starts to turn away. "I'm gonna go shower up, and put this stuff up."

Helena Bertinelli has posed:
Helena Bertinelli laughs! "I deal with tenth graders with dangling participles and a failure to conjugate for nine months of the year. If I can manage to avoid killing any of those little shits, No one on the team is going to scare me off." She says this with a strong sense of pride.

"I have no intention of drowning, Barbara. I'm just trying to look out for you. For the team." She shrugs, "This is too big to fail now. I guess I am invested, yeah."

She turns at the squeeze. "Thanks Barbara. For everything." She looks to the redhead sincerely.
