Rooftop Relaxation

Synopsis:	Wally and Emiko have a good chat and some good homecooked food.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko is enjoying a glass of iced tea in her little rooftop retreat as the sun sets and a light breeze carries the fragrant scent of some summer blooms her way. Bart's gone to work, dinner dishes have been taken care of, and now she's enjoying a little quiet time on the roof. Relatively speaking, of course. Even Union Square isn't /that/ quiet. It's still in the middle of the city, after all.

Still and all, it's relatively peaceful and the setup on the roof is pretty posh and comfortable, all said and done. Money talks, but lots of money sings and dances. And Emiko has access to the sort of money that can put on a Broadway production.

Wally West has posed:
It was a relatively quiet night. And so Wally had soem time on his hands since patrol was quiet. HE diecides to see if he can catch up with his cousin.

Wally runs up the building and changes out of his costume into civies in midair and lands on his feet in front of Emiko. "hey there is Bart around?"

Emiko Queen has posed:
Looking up when the breeze kicks up a bit more than usual, Emiko offers a smile to Wally and shakes her head, "You just missed him, I'm afraid. He's off to work for the evening. He usually comes back for lunch, though." She motions towards the seating and offers, "You're welcome to stay and wait for him. Would you like some iced tea?"

Wally West has posed:
With a nod and a smile Wally accepts the offer pouring himself some ice tea then lounges on the chair.

"so how are things haven't seen or heard from you in a bit?"

Emiko Queen has posed:
"They're going well, I've been focusing on schoolwork for the time being. A few random spurts of hero'ing here and there, but I've been trying to keep a lower profile of late. I don't want to do anything that could jeopardize mine or Bart's identities." Emiko turns a smile towards Wally, sipping from her iced and nodding towards him, "What about yourself? I've been thinking Bart and I should host a dinner for all his family in the area. You, Irie, Barry if he can make it."

Wally West has posed:
"I think I need a vacation from hero work too." Wally says. "I havent had time to spend with Irie or anyone else really. So I'd love to have a get together. I actually need to meet up with bart and Irie. I think i figured out a cure for her time instability. Speaking of, I taught him how to share/sap speed did he tell you yet?"

Emiko Queen has posed:
"It's good to remind yourself why you do the whole 'hero' thing now and then. Spend time with friends and family, touch on what keeps you going," Emiko agrees with a small nod and leans back, sipping from her glass. She glances over towards the city and smiles, "Don't get me wrong, I still keep an eye on the neighborhood, and help out when I'm asked... but I want to make sure that I'm more than just a mask."

Looking back to Wally, she chuckles, "He has. And we've tried it a few times, too. I have to admit, its... impressive. And exhilarating."

Wally West has posed:
"I've been doing it so long it feels like this is all I've ever done. With barry around maybe i can take some me time. I want to find a girlfriend. though Irie being around makes that tricky. Because I don't who her mom is and like knowing that there is someone I have kids with in the future its like. If i hook with someone its not her mom it feels destined to fall apart. but If it is her mother then I feel locked in." Wally saystaking a sip of his cie tea and leaning back.

A small chuckle from Wally. "yeah its a fun trick. I should probably teach barry if I run into him. how much has he let you have? Share enough of it and you get to see how the world looks to us at full speed. Like when light stops being a wave and you see individual photons flying by all around you. Dancing and boucing off everything."

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Or you could accept that whatever future Irie is from may not be /your/ future. There's infinite timelines and universes, many of them /very/ similar to one another. So even though she's here in this when and where, it doesn't mean she's from /your/ where." Emiko flashes a brief grin towards him and lifts her glass to take a sip from the tea. She sets it aside and moves up to her feet, glancing towards him, "Would you like something to eat? I can do some quick steaks and a salad."

She lifts a shrug, "My one driving personal goal in life since I was.. well, eight? was to punch my father hard enough to knock him out. That's not going to happen in /this/ when and where, he's long since dead. But there's a multitude of options still available that will have no discernible effect on /my/ when and where, and I intend to visit one to make it happen."

Emiko chuckles softly, "Enough where we're moving at the same speed, able to act as one. I'll admit, it takes getting used to. I don't have the accelerated processing for it to be easy, but I like to think I handled the sudden shift pretty well."

Wally West has posed:
Wally nods solemly taking her advice to heart but then he perks up at the mention of food. "I could eat" he says with a chuckle.

Wally begins to wonder if he coul somehow reach other universes. There is still so much unknown about the speedforce. Perhaps there was a way.

"MAybe i can help you find that universe where you can punch your father."

"its always a big adjustement to adapt to working at high speeds. How hungry did you get after? suddenly burning that many calories would probably give you the hangries from hell."
