Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie was in town, he had actually been out walking a beat, he does not have to often but he volunteers for it now and again to one help him learn the streets, two to make a few friends on the force. So, he called Alexis, and told her he was in town, and wondered if she might want to get together, and catch up, he could bring food and they could meet at the apartment, or at some other place if she wishes.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    And of course, Alexis was amenable to meeting up at the apartment. She even ordered lunch for the two to be delivered in order to give Sam the most time to hang out.

    The apartment is clean, almost the same way he left it. There's a framed newspaper article about the dance recital. There's a new jacket hanging over the chair, and Alexis was wearing a pair of plaid pajama pants and a FireMuse T-shirt, unbagging a collection of Chinese Takeout containers.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie knocked before he came in, even though she was expecting him, he tries to keep his manners. He has changed out of his uniform, knowing it was not something she was happiest about best not to wear it. He looks over to her with a smile and says "That from the little place down the block?" He asks her of a place they used to order from a lot.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "It's open, Sam." Alexis calls out, and she gives him a smile as she sits down. "Yes, it is. The usual -- I hope it's all right." she offers as she gives a small smile, and rubs the back of her neck

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and says "Yea, it is perfect." He tells her." He has brought them something to drink and walks over offering it to her. It is one of her families lower scale wines, "Ah figured it is not the best, but you might enjoy it still." He offers a grin and will step in for a quick hug in greeting "It is good to see you."

Alexis Carr has posed:
    Alexis gives a bright grin, and she gives Sam a hug. Just because they're not together doesn't mean they're not friends! And she laughs.

    "Yes, well there's the rub. I'm still under age in the state of New York for wine -- but thank you. I'll enjoy it secretly. I've picked up some of that *ghastly* syrup you so enjoy." she teases, producing a half-gallon of sweet tea as she grabs herself a sparkling water.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit to her, and says "You don't know what your missing." He offers in their friendly tea rivalry. "So, how have you been doing, been busy aint got to stop back by before now, been busy with work, and the school stuff. Tabby drafted me into helping put together a group birthday party for those at the mansion.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "Oh, you know. Running a business. Trying not to set things on fire with my mind. My private lessons with the Waynes' ward are going wonderfully; she's really very talented." she replies quietly, with no small amount of pride in her voice a sshe straightens a moment.

    "I'll be promoting a new class for the twelve year olds. Some of them want to work fencing into their work, after seeing me run through some forms. It's... an interesting combonation, and I'm afraid that one of them has decided that hanging off swords stuck in the wall is an excellent use of her skills."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit to this and says "Still should talk you into taking some classes from the school, Steve taught us, and it actually helped out." He grins a bit at the talk of hanging from the swords "Well first time one of them bonks her on the head am sure she will think twice about it.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "Ha, no offense to the school, Sam, but my place isn't among Xavier's. I don't think it will ever be." Alexis smiles to him, and she sits down.

    "I just don't think I can beleive in the Dream, humans and mutants living together in harmony." she admits, and then she gives a snort.

    "Jess has already been sword-bonked by her own hand twice. It seems to just encourage her."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Ah know ya dad has left a bad taste hon, but we have to try for it," He resists the urge to go more on it, not going to preach to her "And teaching students from the school foes not mean your connected to it. Stevie knew about stuff, but she was not really a part of the school at most a friend to it.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "It's not just my father, Sam. Rampant injustice, systematic expulsion, separation... Good God, you would think that we were a disease." she murmurs quietly, sipping from her water before she looks to Sam. "... and yes, teaching students, at the school, for the school, does technically connect me to it. There's enough fearmongering around here, thank you." she gives a wry, sad smile.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks to her, and sighs a bit wishing he could make it better for her. "We have to teach folks we are not, to many fear us cause we are different, but it is slowly getting better, people are realizing we are more alike than different.
