Teacher is Loungin'
Date of Scene: 22 August 2022
Location: Faculty Lounge
Synopsis: Smokin' in the Teachers Lounge!
Cast of Characters: Rogue, Emma Frost, Remy LeBeau

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is seated at the table in the fancy sitting lounge. She's got a laptop and a tablet computer, and her phone all out as she is humming a tune to herself. The television is on, broadcasting some random movie about a whale and a boy who loved it. The southern belle is mostly looking down at her devices though, as she's checking her laptop, then glancing at her phone, and swiping on the tablet. She's gone in to full multi-tasking mode.

She's dressed casually in a dark green tshirt, blue jeans, and her hair is tied back via a little scrunchie. She's got her sunglasses up ontop of her head as well, as she just happily hums the little tune.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost goes to enter on in. Emma's wearing garb that fits more from her Hellfire days, consisting of a corset, too tight pants, opera gloves, and a long flowing cape. "Greetings Anna, I do hope that all is well." Emma's english accent is a litlte more pronounced than it generally is.

"And I hope that whatever you're working on is.. Productive."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy lies on the floor - a black t-shirt and jeans in his case - with a model of a 'Bucky Ball' in his hands. He idly tosses it towards the ceiling, catching it when it falls back down and scrunching it into its compressed state. He doesn't bother to tip his head when he hears the other voice, focused on his ball game.

"Poetry stuff, non?"

Rogue has posed:
The tablet computer is laid down on its back when Emma strides in, and Rogue looks over at her. She casts the woman in white a bright smile. She's not wearing any shoes at the moment, and when Remy replies from the floor beside her, she reaches her right foot over and places it down against his chest lightly. Her bare toes wiggle on his chest then. "That's right." She says in her southern dippped voice. She tilts her head in a sassy sort of way as she speaks a little further then. "I'm tryin' to pick out some'a my faves that will work for younger types, like the lower High School levels, then work my way up to what I think the college types'll enjoy more. I've been procastinatin' on makin' final decisions, but it's now or nevah, and the last thing I wanna do is just pick as I go, and get it all kindsa wrong."

Her eyes go back to her laptop. "I don't wanna /bore/ my students right out the damn gate."

She looks back to Emma then. "You're lookin' like you're on your way t'seduce a man outta all his cash."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod over at Rogue, "So? We're going to look through things for teaching then? What sorts of clases are you looking to get engaged in, Anna?" She would inquire over while glancing over at Remy, "And how you can stand for such a slow moving thing is beyond me. Four hours for a game that consists mostly of waiting and delay?" She would casually toss that out while looking relaxed, moving to grab herself a drink.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"Maybe a limerick? Dey're funny. Dere once was a man from Nantucket ... "

Remy rises up from his place on the floor when he hears Rogue describe Emma, raising his eyebrows.

"Well, don't look at me. I don't got any cash. I spent it all on an engagement ring."

He sticks his tongue out at Rogue teasingly and lays down again, throwing the ball towards the ceiling again.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue pushes gently at Remy's chest with her foot, before she drops it back on to the carpeted floor at the foot of her chair. "That's a limmerick. A dirty one, no less." She says down at the Cajun, and his joke about a ring. She smirks down at him. "There's a whole other class for those, none'a which I'm offerin' to /this/ student body. And I look forward t'seein that ring from a gumball machine." She quips back at him.

Her eyes go back to Emma then, making that drink. "My first day as a teacher is tomorrow. I already met some'a my students though, but still. I'm excited t'get inta class and make a good impression, ya know?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance over at Rogue, "Oh, congratulations then." She would pff over at Rogue, "As if there are any other ones. It's not a decent one if you can tell it in mixed company." She would go over. "And I'm sure you'll do fine, Anna. You're the.. Salt of the earth, I'm sure that you'll get along here quite well. And failing that, just remember you can easily put them through several walls and I'm sure that you'll hvae their attention."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"Yeah, like she say," Remy offers, tossing the ball up and rising to his feet in time to catch it with a swooping motion of his arm, "All de students like you, anyway."

He sets the ball back down on the table where he found it, yawns, and rubs his eye with the back of his hand. The other reaches down to squeeze Rogue's foot before kissing her on the top of the head.

"I'm gonna go to bed. Don't burn too much a' de midnight oil, cher."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue smiles when she gets the kiss to the top of her head, then pokes him in the chest with a finger. "You get t'eat lunch with me tomorrow." She reminds him before he vanishes on her outta the lounge. Her eyes then go back to Emma and she smiles toward her.

"Well... if I end up havin' to put any of my students through a wall, or two, there might be some serious issues goin' on, salt of the earth or not!" She fires back with a small smirk. "But thanks for the compliment, I think. You been goin' back to that Hellfire place?" She asks of Emma.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod over at Rogue, "On occasion, yes. I find it's a good idea to keep tabs on what's going on there. And it's invaluable for networking. And those present can make for dangerous distractions and adversaries. I find it very useful to utilize it to keep abreadst of waht is going on. And if anyone in your classes fails to pay attention, Rogue, it is their error, not your's."

Rogue has posed:
This garners a grin from Rogue as she looks back to her laptop. "We'll see how things go, one way or anothah." She quietly says as she spends a few moments examining her computer. She makes a few adjustments on it, before she bites down on her bottom lip.
