Location: Brighton Beach
Synopsis: Razili Darnell and Bunny Macleod make acquaintences of one another. There appears to be some tension between the two.
Cast of Characters: Bunny Macleod, Razili Darnell

Bunny Macleod has posed:
The sun is shining, the wind is coming off the Atlantic, the clouds are bright, white and fluffy overhead and people are sunning themselves during the last possible moments of summer before school life begins in earnest. There's all manner of folks playing skiball, getting cotton candy and ice cream and cooling off in umbrella-provided shade to the accompanyment of the sounds of the beach and Coney Island.

The boardwalk is also a popular place to get some skating in. There's a girl with brilliant pink hair in two low ponytails, wearing a neon-pink helmet with wings and a unicorn horn, a rainbow-colored tutu and bright sky blue leggings skating around, shouting encourangement to people she passes. She's even wearing bright rainbow color sunglasses, as if there's not enough color in the immediate area to throw around!

Razili Darnell has posed:
Every human and mutant on the boardwalk is a brilliant and beautiful snowflake, but one stands out as...something else. Vaguely shaped like a girl, a set of clothes perambulates along. The raised hood turns as if to look at the skating girl as she goes by, but for the most part, there's just a magical set of walking clothes walking over the beach.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny looks to the empty, walking clothes and waves -- and then nearly tumbles over a bench as she double-takes at the empty outfit! That's not something one sees every day on the boardwalk, and she manages to right herself in a semi-ungraceful one-handed back-flip, and then rounds herself back, and skates backwards as she looks with mixed curiosity at the clothes, and she pauses a moment, skidding to a stop.

"Okay. I gotta be nosy on this one, Gawd I'm sorry --" she begins, "-- how the heck?"

Razili Darnell has posed:
There's a sigh. The sleeves of the hoodie pull themselves down arms before gloves come out of one pocket and lensless glasses out the other. They all go on in just the right places to be a person, but there's still no visible person. "There," comes a girl's voice. "I'm a person; I'm just invisible." She's clearly heard this a million times before. The evidence of that is how bored she is with the response.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Well, yeah, I can see that you're invisible. I'm wondering how you got that way. I mean, I've seen the street magicians with wire frames and ain't a wire frame in existence I've seen on the streets that actually gets a head-shape with the gravity, y'know?" the girl states, and the colorful girl gives a grin, and offers a hand out.

    "I'm Bunny."

Razili Darnell has posed:
"I was born this way," the voice says. "No tricks here. I'm just...invisible. Also Raz. My name is Raz." One of the gloves extends. "Nice to meet you," she continues. She's got a rather bland, unassuming, mild accent. Midwest, more than likely. Tornado alley.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny is all Brooklyn accent. "Man, that musta been a surprise for everyone in the room. Makin' waves outta the womb." she gives a grin to the invisible girl, trying to keep her eyes looking at right about where the eyes should be.

"Raz, huh? Neat. Well, Raz, you schoolin' in Brooklyn? New Yawk? Or jus' kinda hangin' 'round?" she asks.

Razili Darnell has posed:
"Um..." Raz hesitates. "I go to a private school," she admits. "They have medical equipment that can actually scan me there. That's important in case I have problems."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Huh... so not just visible light, but they can't see you in UV? Or UR? CAT?" she questions outta curiosity, and then she winces, and she rubs the back of her neck. "Sorry, not really any of my business, but you lookin' interestin'. An' people always have some cool stories, yaknow?" she gives a bright smile to Raz, all earnest interest.

Razili Darnell has posed:
"Yeah," Raz says, once again having heard all this before. She sticks her thumbs in her hoodie pockets and upnods, indicating at the other teen. "What's yours?"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Me? I ain't no one special. Just a messenger girl who roller skates. That's about it." Bunny gives a smile, and digs her hands down against her hips. "I just tend to dress colorful 'cause it makes people smile."

Razili Darnell has posed:
The invisible girl...or possibly animated set of clothes...nods. "That's a good ambition to have," she admits. From the positioning of the glasses and hoodie hood, she turns her head down to look at Bunny's feet. "I wish I could do that. I'm terrified to be locked into something so hard to get out of."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"What? Get pulled from school to run deliveries for your dad's business? I'll trade. I'll go to your special school, you can rollerskate 'round Manhattan." Bunny gives a smile, and she sticks her thumbs in the waistband of the tutu skirt, seeing as pockets aren't a thing she has.

"You're gonna find something cool, though! Like... like being a super spy! Or maybe go into physics an' study the behavior of light since ya don't cast a shadow through you. Or maybe bein' a superhero. That's not somethin' delivery girls get to do."

Razili Darnell has posed:
There's a sound like scoffing through one's nose. Raz says, "No, I meant roller-scating," she says, making 'eye contact' with Bunny once more. She considers. "I don't know if I want to be a spy," she says. "People shooting me with weird gadgets. I'm definitely not slutty enough, either."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Ah c'mon, roller skates aren't that hard. I can have ya skating in an afternoon if you want -- I know the skate shop owner, pretty sure i can talk him into renting some gear cheap..." Bunny remarks, with a grin, shuffling her feet back and forth on her skates, giving a wry grin until Razili mentions alternate requirements for spies.

"I... was unaware that was a requirement?"

Razili Darnell has posed:
Raz looks at the other girl for a moment. She considers her long and hard. Her gloves remove themselves quickly, shoved in a pocket as glasses get pulled from he face and collapsed against the side of the hoodie. The zipper flies down and the breakaway pants are pulled away as flip-flops are kicked forward. Cloth falls, and suddenly, no more Raz. However, after a moment, her voice returns. "Until they make invisible roller-skates, I'm not putting those on my feet."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Are you this contrary at school too? 'Cause Gawd, the patience somma those teachers must have." Bunny replies, crossing her arms a moment, waiting for the voice or some sound of footfall. Or a punch in the face, that probably would have been warranted too.

"So what... you naked now or do they make see-through leotards? ... in which case how can a sister get one a' those 'cause I've got SO MANY Halloween ideas..." Bunny shifts about, trying to keep the clothing from flying off in the wind. That'd be embarrassin'.

Razili Darnell has posed:
It's hard to tell what's grabbing what as clothing gets picked up. "That...is definitely the downside," Raz's voice says. The velcro is put back on as pants form into shape. Then the hoodie is pulled up onto one arm, then the other, then zipped up. Then the flip flops are moved back into place. Hood goes up, suddenly, Raz again. "I feel more exposed when I've got layers on to define my form, but I do have to shed to become invisible."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"So why not petition one a' those eggheads like Richards or Stark to help you out? I mean, they got R&D. Or try ta get Powahs or Wayne? They do tech stuff, right?" she considers, and she's just thoughtfully skating around in cuircles around Razili. "I mean not ta *brag* but I know a guy in the Titans, and I've worked with one a' the Avengers. Maybe I can put in a good word?"

Razili Darnell has posed:
Raz sighs. "Look, I appreciate the effort, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I chose the school I did because they have medical equipment on campus that should be able to diagnose any medical issues I get. I don't mind talking to your friends, but I'm going to keep my expectations nice and low."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Aw c'mon. Chin up Raz-ma-taz! You go to a school that's equipped to deal with your unique biology, it's a beautiful day in New Yawk, there's not currently an alien invasion or supervillain wanting to rip up the city resulting in a detour through Fifth, you've got an amazin' gift that's Invisible Woman quality, you got good stuff happenin'." Bunny gives a bright grin.

"I could start singin' Disney music if you wanted?"

Razili Darnell has posed:
Raz's gloves slide out of her pocket. One defines her left hand, then the other is slid onto her right, giving those fingers form. Then she playfully chucks Bunny's arm. She pulls out her lensless glasses. A brief pause. "Alright," she says. "Gimme a rendition of that song from the special edition of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. The one in Jabba's palace with the green alien lady."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"You challenge ME on Sly Snootles Max Rebo Band??" Bunny looks ABSOLUTELY AGHAST "In the Middle of the *Boardwalk* in BROOKLYN? Girl --"

Bunny rubs the back of her head, and looks at her phone.

"OK, that offer might not be one my ass can check."

Razili Darnell has posed:
One of the beautiful things about being invisible is that facial expressions are hidden from the world. She's got an amazing poker face does Razili. "Well, I'm sure it's a lovely ass, as skilled as it is curvy, but yeah. I deliberately picked the hardest song I could think of."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny raises her eyebrows. "Well. Best of luck to you at your fancy school, Razzle Dazzle. I'll take that as my cue to skate away in an awkward fashion." Bunny gives a wry grin, a slight wave, and then indeed pushes off backwards, giving a wave to Razili before she turns, and skates in earnest, though she's singing the Star Wars theme as she goes.

"Ba dah dah Daaaah DAAAAAH! Ba dah dah DAAAAH dah Ba da da DAAAAH dah! Ba ba ba daaah o/`"

Razili Darnell has posed:
Raz waves back at her. "Bye!" she says, her emotional inertia shifting her feet as she waves, almost running after the other girl. "It was nice meeting you!" she calls after the other teen.

Aaaaand back to being a visual freak people don't talk to because even if the world is becoming friendlier toward Mutants, you don't look like that, and there's no social rules for dealing with someone invisible.
Raz sighs, shoves her hands in her pockets, and starts walking again, going back to people-watching.
