Monet St. Croix has posed:
It is the Twenty-First Birthday of Kara Danvers. Whether or not it is an important part of Kryptonian traditions, on Earth it is considered a highly important cultural touchstone. So, going along with the 'being friends' thing that the two were working on, Monet St. Croix was going flying along with Kara. The two were a couple of kilometers up in the sky, and hovering. Monet was in a hand holding a package.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl flies along with Monet, looking over to her. She sees the package, amused, and looks to her. "Is that for me?" she asks, eyes bright. She's being good and NOT looking through the box.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile over at Kara, "Yes, it is. And I'll ask you to have the decency to not use your senses to tell what it is." A gentle tease given over to Kara on the matter. Decorum! THe package is given over for Supergirl to take.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl smiles as she takes the box. "The temptation is very high, I admit." She looks at it, and then back to Monet with a smile. "Should I open it now, or did you have something else in mind?" She bobs there, her cape fluttering in the wind.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "Oh, by all means feel free. It's nothing particularly exotic, but I thought that you might appreciate it some." She would offer gently. "Something unique that I hope you like that I hope has some meaning."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl reaches down, and will open the box, taking off any wrapping, and opening the contents within.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Within is a very old film reel of the first release of 'Day the Earth Stood Still' that would fit for an old projector reel. As well as an old movie poster from it. "I thought it was something that you might appreciate." Monet responds gently.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl looks at it, a little confused. "What is this?" she asks. It seems clear after a moment that she has...well, never seen a reel of film before. She looks back to Monet, curiously, as she waits for the other girl to explain.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "It's an older style for the ways theatrical releases used to be displayed. In a projector. Look at the real and inspect the.. Frames with your eyes. You'll see. I thought that something more.. Inherent to Earth and it's culture might have some interest from you."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl looks curious, and she starts to look at the picture. "Oh! It's all grey." She says, surprised, before smiling over to Monet, as she looks at the picture. "Something about aliens. I heard your planet used to be very afraid about the idea of alien visitors, weren't they?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "Yes. And it is a film of.. Them having come to Earth to lend aid. Something which at the time was very unheard of in media. It was one of the first positive portrayals of those from off planet in culture. And a touchstone for humanity, caught up in it's own fears. That things could be better."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl smiles, and she leans in to give Monet a slight kiss. "You're very sweet. Thank you. I knew there'd be a deeper meaning or message in there." She looks curious. "You know, I don't know when YOUR birthday is."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "November twenty-first. It is not a particularly auspicious one." Over at the kiss, the Algerian mutant's cheek would flush very lightly. "And no, things do not need meanings. But they can be personal. A gift should have something meaningful to it."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "Well, I appreciate it. I will get you something very unique for yours." She smiles to the other girl, looking to her as they hover there, and then her expression fades just a little. "It would be nice to spend it with my family." But of course, they are all gone.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod softly over at Kara, "of course. You do not have to, but I appreciate it." Her tone sad. "I hope you have things planned with the Titans. I'ms ure they would all love to celebrate your day with you."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl shakes her head. "I'm sure that some of them will remember, at some point." She smiles. "It's all right. I have you and that's wonderful." She gives Monet a quick hug. "I just miss my parents. And it's silly. Kryptonians didn't even really celebrate birthdays." It's a custom she's picked up since coming here, of course.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod gently, "I understand. It is still a special day. And I'ms ure that your parents would be proud of you no matter what. That you have taken your life and made a difference, and gone to make something of yourself." The hug is returned over. "Today more than any other it is good to remember them."

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl nods...and then looks curious. "Do you feel the cold? Does it bother you?" Two invulnerable girls sitting there, discussing "well, how invulnerable are YOU?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shake ehr head, "Minimally. I am very comfortable at this altitude and temperature." She's nowhere near as resistant as the other girl is.. But still, it is of minimal concern.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "What about something like the Arctic?" Supergirl asks, curiously. "I mean...would you be all right there? At least for a flight?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
That would catch Monet's attention. "Ah.. Perhaps. I have never been ins uch a temperature." She would cock her head, "I do not know how I would respond to it. I would.. Enjoy seeing how I fare." She looks enthusiastic.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    Supergirl reaches out her hand for Monet to take. "Take my hand, and hold on?" she offers, as she looks to her, as she takes a moment, looking northwards.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would be curious, "Of course. So shall I know where we're going after we get there?" Her eyes are wide, and there's a bit of a thrill in her heart that hasn't been there before.

Kara Danvers has posed:
    "You won't be able to miss it." Supergirl says, and she takes Monet's hand, and then WHOOSH! She starts in a high arc as she sweeps off towards the arctic circle.
